| The next text to the advancing Finalist explains that the fight will take place within the Quincy. The fight is sponsored by the Haven project there, but with some very particular stipulations. Do not offend the spirits. The problem with the GPS location is that it states that it is literally in the lake. Like on or under water.
Smoke listens to the end of the fight between Anjali and the golden toothed tusker and then hears the beep of his pocsec and the instructions. He kicks his bike to life and motions for kelris to hop on the back of the motorcycle. He smiles and heads off in the direction of the Quincy resevoir.
Effek takes another sip of his ale watching the trid and the local news inside Sprints bar. Feeling a rumble in his jacket pocket he pulls out his pocsec. The red light bleeping stating a message, clicking it on he reads the message and forwards over to the map. Confused on the location and Sprint in the back not able to tell him, Effek just gets up makes his way to his bike and heads off to the shore.
The shore is equipped with— well not a whole lot. For those that are familiar with the silver-blue haired mage, he nods and asks if you are the contestants. When it is confirmed— he lifts you up via a spell and moves you over to the platform (roughly 10m in diameter) on the lake. It is a bit wobbly and requires some basic balance to get used to. The water here in Quincy, despite the Project, is NOT the kind you want to fall into.
Effek steps onto the platform, wobbeling under his feet as Effek catches his balance "Frag!" He says looking over at the blue hair maged then back to the platform and then over to the water with a discusted look. "Well this isn't going to be good…" Effek says
«Plot» Adam says, "Effects of the platform are a +4 Penelty to KD tests, failed charge tests, or kip up tests. Also its possible to fall into the water which is not something you want to happen."
Smoke waves to Kelris and watches as Adam perfors his magic. He settles on the platform and digs his gloves out of his pockets, slipping them on. He eyes the troll up and down, never having had to fight one before but having heard a lot from people who had. He bounces a few times on the platform to get a feel for its shifting.
Effek looks over at Smoke and smirks "Kick my ass but please, I like this shirt." Effek says slipping on his gloves while hinting to the water.
«Plot» Smoke says, "Smoke already has what look to be steel toed boots on. For the record."
Smoke smirks at the troll and the comment about the shirt. He slips into a forward leaning stance, southpaw with his chin tucked down tight. He raises his hands into the guard position, leading with the right. His face becomes impassive and emotionless.
The betting broadcast starts and a trideo lady pops out on the shoreline for the betting. Most of the people observing are doing it from there. It looks like the odds are 1:1.
Slide floats above in the air, heck, he can stand above the water and look cool. He has worked with Effek before, but never really seen him in a hand to hand fight….so he doesnt bet, just watches the fight from a distance using vision mag if necessary.
Tighting the straps around his gloves Effek assumes to not bounce like he normally does. Placing his right foot as his lead, his left foot pigeon toed for balance. Loosing up his shoulder and making sure his head movement is in tacked. He keeps his left hand close to his chest while his right hand leads out twaords the right.
Kelris advances over to meet the bet-holder woman once she makes herself known to place a bet. She's greeted with a charming, bruised-faced grin. (5k on Smoke)
Anjali had been standing at the shoreline, observing the fight. As the trideo-lady pops out for the betting, she digs her hand into into her hoodie to pull her pocket secretary from one of the many inner pockets of it before she pulls the thin, silver object out and shifts her attention downward toward it. She moves her thumb over quite a bit, manipulating the object to place her bet for Smoke before she lowers the object down to her side and shifts her attention back toward the fight that apparantly will occur within a minute or two.
Smoke looks at the troll, "Fun place to learn how to dance huh?" He takes a step forward and then a step back, still getting used to the footing.
Effek smirks tighting his fist "Yeah quite romatic as well."

Effek quickly steps to his right then leans in to the left, with a couple of quick jabs that barely miss Effek shoots in with a huge right fist heading in twoards Smoke.
Smoke ducks just to the left and hammers a fist into the troll's lead right knee, using all of his strength. The impact is solid as he had prayed it would be. He then hops back and scrambles for a moment trying to keep his footing.
Effek is slammed bu his opponents heavy hit, and in doing so he is knocked back hititng hard on the ground. The platform tilting in his weight, Effeks heavy back sliding along it twoards the edge slowly.
«Plot» Smoke says, "For Smoke's pass he is going to go to the opposite end of the platform and try to level it out so the troll doesn't fall into the water. He's just like that, doing it without thinking."
Smoke moves quickly to the opposite side of the platform in an attempt to level it out some. His weight isn't probably enough to completely offset the trolls', but he reacts without thinking.
Slide flys away in disgust, the troll didn't even try, this fights over.

Effek sighs and grunts as he quickly gets up, Smoke offsetting the balance board. Climbing to his feet Effek smirks and give Smoke a thumbs up "Thanks chummer, ready when you are." Assuming stance again.

Smoke waits for the troll to get his footing, nods to him and then lumbers in. He's still having a hard time judging where to actually attack the troll and goes for the knee with a kick just like when he's working the posts. His arms are raised to wither side, ready to block the troll's meaty fists. The blow hammers into the troll's leg, his boot making a heavy 'thut' sound on impact.
Effek staggers to his feet eyeing Smoke as he dances his way over to Effek, just as he shoots in for a kick Effek trys to slam him in the face. Missing Effek's knee is nailed by a hard swift kick of muscle and metal. His knee basicly gives way as Effek falls to the gorund in pain holding his knee.

Effek quickly staggers back to his feet, grinding his teeth as he holds his knee. Looking up at Smoke, teeth baring like a mad gorilla "I have to stop, knee is gone." Effek says as he bows trying his hardest to not fall forward. "Sorry good job." Saying to Smoke.
Smoke slips out of his stance and bows in his way, bending slightly at the waist. His eyes are locked solid on the trolls' "You were a good opponent Effek." He looks around toward where Adam is.
Effek nods as he bends down relaxing his knee "Yea good job kicking my ass." he says with a smirk looking twoards the shore.
Smoke smiles at the huge troll, "No man, I kicked your knee." He walks over and holds his hand out to shake.
Effek chuckles "No way?" He says as he reaches out and shakes the mans hand "Guess I know who I will be betting on for the championship?" Effek says still holding his knee with a smirk.
Smoke nods, "Thanks man, lets get you back to shore." He looks around and then yells, "Hey Adam we don't want to swim in this soup. Can you give us a lift back over?" He waves toward the shore line.
There is another wave of the hand from the shore. One at a time, the two contestants are levitated back to the shoreline. Adam goes to check over Effek for a quick moment with some medical equipment to survey for damage.
Smoke hovers close for a moment, ready to help if needs be but Effek is in good hands. He pulls out a crumpled pack of cigarettes and lights one, walking over to Kelris.
Arriving back at the shore Effek feels so releived, other then his knee. "Good luck bud!' Effek calls over to Smoke before looking at Adam "Basicly it is just my knee." Effek pointing to the bouldging ACL and ugly twisted looking bruised knee.
Kelris gives a wave to the troll as he moves towards Adam, and he moves towards Smoke, opening one arm to pat his friend on the back
