Who Said Gangers Never Went To School?

GM: Deborah
Players: Cannonball, Deborah, Nightshade
Synopsis: The runners are hired to go and recover some goods stolen by a gang. The gang's hideaway is in what used to be an elementary school before the warrens became the hellhole it currently is.
Date: 09/23/2070

Word trickles through… wherever it always ends up trickling through, and lets you know that Biz is about! Something about gangers in the warrens. Isn't that always the case? The meet with the Johnson is set to be at the Crank.

Cannonball is always up for a little bit of … 'test-driving' and who knows. Gangs are often a good case for doing just that. So she drives to the Crank, looking a little bit dubious as she sees the building. "Wow…either J's having a strange kind of fashion sense or the place is better inside than outside…", she mutters then walks in to find out where the meet might be.

Nightshade spends a fair bit of time in the Warrens, alternating between the vestiges of Orktown and the shadowy center near The Bastille. She sets her blades in place across her back, and puts on every stitch of armor she can find. Pulled along behind her like a little wagon is an armored steamer trunk carrying the rest of her gear. A dour little city spirit helps keep them unnoticed as they make their way over to the crank where Nightshade reaches down and lifts the case up to be carried over her shoulder by a strap, she grunts a little but the weight doesn't seem to bother her too much.

There is a young ork, maybe 8 (though he looks 16) that, upon seeing unfamiliar faces, whispers something to himself. A few seconds after that, he nods, and waves the newcomers over. "Upstairs… Room 212," is all he says before going back to looking bored and playing some little handheld electronics game.

Cannonball nods to the orks words. Her smile going with a little doubt to the stairs. She warily walks up. making sure not to fall. In this place she obviously does not want to get dirty it seems.

Nightshade digs in her pocket with one gloved hand and pulls out a couple of worn but carefully folded over nuyen, she flips twenty nuyen worth of scrip loose and tosses it to the kid as she passes. Then tucks the remainder away as she lugs the trunk up the stairs to room 212. She sniffs as she goes up the stairs then chuckles.

Cannonball will finally knock on the door to 212. She just uses the minimal possible contact to the door. Looking around in an uncomfortable way.

It is Deborah who opens the door for those who knock, though there is a short delay while the thump of her boots approaches the door. She waves the others in (taking care to give Nightshade enough room to squeeze by when it's her turn to enter) before closing the door again. The locks, seen from this side of the door, are non-standard for this drek heap of a place.

In the room is a table with several chairs. The chairs are varied enough that a troll twice the size of Nightshade could find a chair that wouldn't break beneath their trollish bulk. On the far side of this table, watching the door as people enter, is an ork. He is dressed as a typical ganger - synth leather adorned with lots of spikes and chains - though he composes himself as a business man might, sitting up strait, with his hands clasped tightly together on the table in front of him.

Nightshade comes tromping up the stairs behind Cannonball, she offers her a nod as if expecting to see her. She moves towards the door waiting for it to open then stepping into the room. "Good to see you two-scoops."

Nightshade comments towards Cannonball.

Cannonball looks at Nightshade and grins amusedly. Then she just nods sitting down at the cleanest chair her size she can find. She simply waits for J to start explanations.

Nightshade glances around, nods to the troll then moves over to one of the chairs roughly the right size, putting her case down behind it she reaches behind her back at an awkward angle so she can release each of the massive blades on her back without removing them from their sheathes, she moves slowly and deliberately while she's handling the weapons, then leans each against he case with the handles upwards before taking a seat.

Nightshade looks over Deborah as she takes a seat eyes skittering down her form looking for clues as to what her function is, focusing for a moment on the odd metallic belt then turns her attention back to the troll.

Deborah moves to the table after shutting the door and straddles one that is turned so it's back faces the table. Her arms are crossed, and she leans forward to rest them on the top of the seat.

The ork nods to everyone in greeting as they enter, and once everyone is seated, he gets down to the heart of things. "Strait to business, then," he says, grinning. "You're here because the Iron Legion, a gang, caused my last delivery man some problems. Problems of the 'shot in the face' variety. I would like to hire you, to go break into the storehouse they've locked my truck in, and get the goods back."

Cannonball nods, then asks, "That truck rigged or just manual controls? Does it maybe even have a remote control?", she asks curiously. "If so I'd like security keys. So I could use what we have. If not … well, the good old fashioned way works still. And off course the good old fashioned question, what's it worth to you."

Nightshade tilts her head giving a moment consideration, "Not a group I'm familiar with. But if the pay is right that doesn't really matter…interested only in the truck or do you want a body count?"

The ork shakes his head at Cannonball. "Neither. It's got a datajack port if you'd like to drive it cybernetically, but beyond that, not much." He pauses, allowing Nightshade's question, and then takes a moment to consider it. "I don't care what you do to most of the gangers, so long as the truck gets back to me safe and sound. The leader, I would at least like to be made to suffer for trying to steal from me."

Cannonball nods, "Oh, I have no problem with manual controls. Just makes things a bit more challenging maybe.", she says with a grin. "How good are these guys with vehicles? Is it known whether it's damaged or not?"

The ork shakes his head. "My last report before the tail lost sight of them was that it wasn't damaged," he says.

Nightshade nods, "Alright, we'll need as much additional information as possible, and if you have a visual on this leader you want to suffer it'd help make sure we don't break the wrong guy's legs. Other than that, pay rate…" she turns to look over at Deborah, "…and introductions…I know roughly what she can do." She gestures to Cannonball, "But what's your game sister?" she asks Deborah.

Deborah smirks. "Call me Cally. I do a little bit of everything that doesn't take mojo to get done," she says. "Not all of it as well as some, but well enough to get by, at any rate." She looks to the ork, as if to let him know it's his turn.

The ork simply nods, and produces a trio of chips from thin air, apparently. "Here's images of the person leading the attack, as well as what I could gather on the others involved in the gang since they hit the truck. Pay for this will be 20,000… 15,000 if I have to bang any dents out of the truck when you get it to the drop-off point.

Cannonball shrugs, "I'll worry about the truck. And no worry, if I can do anything about it, it will not get any dents. I'll leave the shooting and bone braking to you guys. I'm a gear head and rigger. So if you want we can use my ride. I at least now have suitable benches for the big girl."

Nightshade nods, "I can handle bone breaking and some minor mojo slinging." She looks over to Mr. J, "So I think you've got yourself a team…do we have a way to confirm the truck contents are intact?"

The ork shakes his head. "Not until I get a chance to look it over. And if not, expect a call to go and bust more of their heads," he says, grinning wide enough that his top lip almost gives enough clearance for the bottom tusks to not be touching them. Almost. It's almost shark-like.

Cannonball nods, "Well, do we know anything about the hideout they use? Or do we need to provide our own intelligence? Not that I'd have a problem with that. I'd just like to know what we get in advance."

Nightshade nods, "Right, recon, plan, crack skulls, drive off into the sunset, no problem." She stands up and moves to put the swords back into place on her back. She then moves to take one of the credsticks offered.

"They hang out way down south, near the UCAS/Warrens border," the ork offers. "About two and a half kilometers south west of the Big House, if you know where that's at. It's in what used to be a school, back before the treaty was signed."

Cannonball nods, "Okay…I can check that out.", she says, then rises to move out. "Need to ready my drone. We will want overwatch on this.", she says as she goes. "I still lack the launch pad. So manual work."

Nightshade nods, "Alright, I'll send a fetch along with it to take a peek on the astral side and see if we've got much in the way of magical threat." She grins at Cannonball, "Want me to launch the drone for you? I've always wondered if they work like paper airplanes…" Then she looks over at Deborah, "What's you your whip like, or are you riding with Two-scoops."

Cannonball shrugs, "This one is a blimp. Not sure if you'd call that a paper airplane…", she says to the troll. "But you sure can help set it up.", she says.

Nightshade grumbles, "Bah…blimps…that's no fun. And no 'hot air' cracks."

Cannonball shrugs, "What's wrong with blimps. Indefinite air time, due to no real need of fuel for staying up. Hard to detect. And if done right, even damn hard to see…"

"I've got a rice-burning Bike I can follow along on, I guess," Deborah says, standing from her chair and moving to the door. "The problem is they can be taken down by a pistol if the balloon gets hit, and there's all that wind…" She smirks at that.

Nightshade sighs, "They're like Jellyfish of the air…where's the sex and savagery…they just sort of…float there." She shrugs, "But to each their own, if you wanna be all…tentacly…rock with it."

Cannonball shrugs, "That's why I still work to upgrade my rotodrone. That one is quick and meant to protect the scouting blimp. And a single shot won't bring it down. Not at once at least. Let all this be my problem…"

"Can do," Deborah says, offering a little wave to the Ork before stepping out of the room. She waits in the hallway for the others before walking back to the building's entrance.

Nightshade picks up her trunk putting it on her back again, and moves to step outside nodding to the ork.

Nightshade looks over the other two, "I can offer a safe spot for planning over at the Bastille, I'd say Orktown cause it's closer, but I'm not sure you'd enjoy the reception."

Cannonball laughs a little bit to Nightshades words. "Yep…I heard they don't like elves a lot there… I guess I can ready my drone at the Bastille, then."

"I've always wanted to see what the places there look like…" Deborah says, nodding to Nightshade's offer. "I'll follow along, and if you want me to ride with you two when we head out, I can do that. I imagine the Bastille is safer than where I've got my Bike stashed for the moment."

Nightshade nods, "Yeah, it's not quite as cold a reception as we get in Tir Llewyn, but it's cool enough that I wouldn't test it without need. Scoops give me a lift to the Bastille, I hoofed it cause I wasn't sure where we were headed from here." She lets the vehicles into the gated area of the Bastille then leads the pair to EW2. The room is spartan and doesn't looked lived in though there is a pattern worked around every edge of the room, a repeating mazelike pattern in dark violet ink. Nightshade pulls a table and chairs out of the workroom and sets them down, "Functional, and I'm sure it could be made livable, but I don't live here…so…"

Cannonball shrugs, "Well…", having arrived at the Bastille, she drags out the frame of the blimp, inflates it and after jacking in starts it. "Gotta wait a bit before it is at it's target area." And really it takes a few minutes before she report, "Okay… getting data now. Want to have a look too?", as the screen on her deck gets bright and shows the target area.

Nightshade looks over the target area, "Alright, c'mere you knuckleheads." She spreads her fingers gesturing with a grating crackle and a slight wince from the barren ground rise four spiny shapes looking to be made of bone and bramble, "Alright fetches, go there and look for signs of magic, if you see spirits, awakened beings, or encounter wards or lodges come back and report immediately." She reviews the instructions several more times expanding on the details to help the simple watchers understand their instructions.

Deborah offers what little help she can in assembling the drone… which is basically just handing Cannonball anything that she asks for. When the drone goes off to recon, she sits in the corner of the room, fiddling a pair of machine pistols and making sure that they are in working order while she waits for the recon things to happen.

Nightshade looks over the sensor readout as Cannonball dials things in, "Oh look, it's snowing in the Warrens, she comments as the screen comes up static."

Cannonball frowns, "Hon…that's no snow, that's sensor static…", she explains.

Deborah closes her eyes for a moment, and then opens them and looks to Cannonball, as if she suddenly remembered something. "Don’t they call that snow?"

Cannonball shrugs, "Not the kinda snow, Nighty meant…", she says.

Cannonball then adds, "I prefer the term white noise, though."

Nightshade looks up as her fetches return with news, they whisper to her in voices like fingernails on chalkboards, "Seems there's some magic at least there, could just be a standing ward but we should plan to deal with a mage or shaman just in case."

Nightshade sends the watchers back out to watch from a distance and try and identify the magic user. Once the watchers are away Nightshade opens her steamer trunk, inside are a pair of Ares Alphas with all the bells and whistles save one important component, she sighs as she pulls the pair free, "Oh, if either of you come across a good supplier for munitions let me know." She taps the underbarrel launcher, "My source went up along with my shipment when some yahoos decided AV was the way to go against a cargo van full of explosives."

Deborah's eyes narrow at the mention of magical security. "Figures," she mutters softly before looking to Cannonball. "Remind me to switch out to the green clips before we leave here. I'll have to get them out of the bike's seat when we head out," she says.

Cannonball nods first to Deborah, "Green clips from the bike." Then she nods to Nighty, "I'll ask the rabbit if he can help you with that."

Deborah looks at Nightshade. "I've got a decent supplier, too," she says. "It'll take me a bit to get in touch with him, though. If that doesn't work out for you, I can see if they've got what you need."

You paged Cannonball with 'Exterior is pretty well intact, there's a few cars around the place (didn't see the one we're looking for), at least half of them burned out husks.'.

You paged Cannonball with 'Nope.'.

Nightshade looks over at Deborah, "What's in…the green clip?" She slings the pair of riffles over her head and spends a few minutes adjusting buckles and snaps before removing the guns from the straps and setting them down. "And how would you two like to do this…do we go in hot and just try and shoot our way in and out, or do we try and put a gun in the leaders face and drive out with minimal fuss and just smash his nose in front of his gang for his trouble?"

Cannonball watching the incoming camera data, says, "Hmmmm, our target is probably indoors. Most of that stuff there is just rubble some of them might be still intact. Not that it looks like any unwelcome surprise vehicle-wise. I'd give green light on my part. You guys tell me if we are ready to go from your side."

"Ex-Ex ammo," Deborah answers. "They help add some kick against spirits, I've found. Since you said there's magic about the place." She shrugs to the follow-up question. "Whichever way. I'm pretty good at sneaking and climbing, but I don't have any of that invisibility-tech everyone else swears by. Looks too unreliable to me, personally. Or we can go shoot the place up." She shrugs again, as if not really caring about the approach they take.

Cannonball shrugs, "If you just want to shoot it up I have about 1000 arguments in my turret. 50 millimeter thick arguments…"

Nightshade considers, "I won't know the real strength of any magical problems until we draw him/her/or it out. I could kick things off with an expendable spirit and cause a distraction…probably around here." She points to a likely place for the spirit to make a problem of itself and draw the attention of whatever magical defense the gangers might have, preferably a place where the mage would have to expose himself or herself to deal with the creature. "If you're the sneaky type I could give you a little extra sneakiness with some of that unreliable invisibility mojo and see if you can get in and get the truck rolling out…you any good at hotwiring? If that were the case we'd have Scoops here laying down cover to keep their heads down while you drive off."

«Auto-Judge[]» Cannonball (#863) rolls Etiquette vs TN 5 for "Getting a toolkit":
2 2 10 = 1 Success

Deborah shakes her head. "It it was a bike, maybe. But not trucks, I'm afraid," she says. "And that's driving. I know how to fiddle with the wires to jumpstart it, maybe, but I don't have the slightest idea where to look to get started."

Nightshade considers, "Meh, if we've gotta get the keys that brings up another issue." She looks over at Cannonball, "You think you could get in there with her to get it wired to drive and still give cover fire while I create a distraction, or should we just shoot everyone that moves and pick the keys up off the corpse."

Cannonball giggles, "Bully is fully remote. It's not too good at shooting, but if you note me of drek happening via radio I am quick enough to remote it. Depends on how you want to do it…"

Cannonball adds, "I'll be jacked in anyway to take advantage of my Ori system."

Nightshade nods, "Alright, so do we want to try and call this guy out, do we go start a ruckus, or do we try and be a little sneaky?" She looks at the other two, "I'm guessing I can take a punch better than you two, but I'd still rather not."

Cannonball shrugs, "I just added my armor to the van. So I should be good. As long as I stay inside the ride…"
"Or behind it…", she adds.

Deborah frowns a little in thought. "I would prefer sneaky, myself, maybe while the ruckus is happening elsewhere?" she suggests. "I mean, it's an old school, right? So there's bound to be multiple ways in, and a ton of places to distract from."

Cannonball ponders, "Well, we might be able to distract them easily. Normal gangers should not have a chance to harm Bully's new armor. So… let me drive in and distract them with my little pop-gun and you guys have all the fun with getting the truck. While I play HMG step-dance.

Nightshade looks over at Cannonball, then nods, "Alright then, I'll do what I can to mojo us hard to see." She points between Deb and herself, "You get in position around here." She points to the map overlay near to where the truck is. "I'll be over here." She points to one of the crumbled areas opposite the truck. "You let me start things up with a spirit, if they've got any brains they'll fetch their mage to quiet it down." She points to Deb, "You see if you can get close enough to the truck to check and see if it's got keys in it, they might be that dumb. You radio a yes or no. If yes, the bully comes in and tears shit up while you drive off, if no, I'll try a little mind mojo to see if I can find someone who knows where the keys are. If we just can't find 'em, we bring in the bully and kill them all, then tow the truck out.

Nightshade looks at Cannonball, "Much as I'd like to see your look of surprise, I'm not going to risk that mage knowing how to spark and frying your but if we can help it."

Cannonball nods, "Hmmm…damn. I keep forgetting mages… A little fault of mine."

Nightshade nods, "I'll do what I can to make that a non-issue." She looks over the layout trying to think up any obvious flaws in her strategy.

Deborah nods as well. "Alright. Get there, get inside, and take a peak around to see if we can just slip out in the truck without being seen," she says. "Should work."

Nightshade nods, "Right, we'll all ride over in the Bully then. I'll magic us up before we leave, it's easier here than most places in the Warrens…don't get cocky though, magic just helps you be sneaky, it's not a perfect solution." She takes a necklace from around her neck, a simple leather cord with a red crystal hanging from it, "And don't lose my charm, it'll keep you mostly invisible till you take it off." She offers the crystal to Deborah.

Nightshade double checks that everyone has a radio and are on matched channels.

Deborah nods to the troll. "I'll hide it somewhere safe, don't worry," she says, accepting the crystal. She unbuttons the top couple of buttons on her vest, and slips the crystal into a zipped interior pocket before buttoning it back up. And while she's doing this, she doesn't even notice, really, that she's no longer visible.

Cannonball has for sure. Headware is hard to loose really. She smiles as she sets the right frequency to and does her 'sound' check. If that is the right word for transduced radio transmissions.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Show off" Nightshade subvocalizes into her mic when Cannonball does her 'no speaking trick' "I'll have a fetch posted near each of you to try and protect you from any magical threats, they're not going to be able to do much more than give you a warning though, so if you hear something squeaking about trouble, brace yourself.""

Cannonball nods, "Don't forget your green clips…", she gives that last asked for reminder to Deborah, then she moves over to the van. Her blimp still sending current data from the target area and displaying it on the deck screen for you to see. She then ignites the trucks engine and nods to the trolls words.

Nightshade pulls the quartet of watcher spirits from the ether once more, setting one to the task of guarding each of the trio and sending the fourth back out to watch over the target location, flitting back and forth still trying to spy out the mage or any guard spirits.

Nightshade then steps into the rig, glancing about…"You remember to keep any space open for passengers?" She says as she wiggles in around the turret, ammo bins, extra armor, electronics, and other craziness riggers seem wont to cram into perfectly good transportation systems.

«Auto-Judge[]» Deborah (#2112) rolls Intelligence vs TN 2 for "Just because.":
1 2 2 3 4 4 = 5 Successes

«Plot» Deborah cannot see through Nightshade's spell!

Deborah confirms that she does, in fact, have a radio. Not that anyone can notice it on her at the moment, really. Invisibility, and all that. She places the throat mike on, and activates the radio that's clipped to her greatcoat. "Thanks!" she says to Cannonball, moving quickly to her bike on the way out to grab a couple of the green clips. They float up from the seat storage space for just a second before the spell's effect works on them. She looks into the van and tries to sit somewhere, accidentally bumping into Nightshade in the process. "Ok, where do I sit?" she asks.

Cannonball looks back from her drivers seat. "There is two troll sized benches back there. I really think you have space enough, Nighty. So stop complaining. Or I'll remove /your/ seat at once and let you sit on the floor."
Then the van starts to move toward the target area.

Nightshade grumbles invisibly, "Probably be easier, this loadout wasn't meant for sitting in….guess I really should think about that when I reconfigure my harness." There's a clonking noise as she intentionally lets the hilts of her blades bang up against the van's interior.

Deborah grins, unseen. "This is why I have a Bike. Not a lot that you can do to take up space in it. And it's pretty quick."

Cannonball just shrugs to Nightshades mutters. "You're just nervous and need a vent…", she says lightly with a grin. "I drive. That's my vent."

Nightshade chuckles, "I eat ice cream to vent…unfortunately you're not my type Scoops." She's keeping an eye on the scenery, "Let me bail at this cross street, I'll come around from that side, you circle wide and drop, then wait for the signal." She readies herself to hop out, reaching out and patting Deb's arm to let her know where she's moving so they don't bump heads. "Fair warning, I don't do that healing crap, so if you get shot, expect to bleed." She then readies to jump out and hope Scoops slows down the van…

Cannonball shakes her head, "I got an savior medkit…that should help…", she says as Nightshade readies herself. Then she stops at the demanded crossing, the door opens and closes right after the troll, then the van goes on.

Deborah slides herself closer to the door once it has closed, presumably behind the exiting troll. "Alright. I was getting tot he other side of the school, then?" she asks.

Cannonball nods, "I'll give you some prewarning the slip you out."
Which she does then positions her van at the agreed on waiting position with easy access, centering her attention for now on the blimp to maybe help her team mates out.

Deborah, for her part, is rather quiet once she leaves the vehicle. She makes a Bee-line path towards the building, slipping her hands into pockets on the coat and removing a small bag. She waits until right up next to the school building to open this bag, and puts on the gecko climbing gear - just in case she needs to use it - before she starts to peak in through what's left of some of the windows. The ones that aren't boarded up, anyway.

Cannonball places her van as discreetly as can be expected from an Bulldog van. Not really the smallest those vans.

Nightshade hunkers down just on the edge of the school and extends her hand carefully drawing up the spirit of the school, her eyes shrink to pips again and the rustling of her hand sounds even more like the rolling of bones. When the spirit appears grudgingly before her she quickly whispers to it. "You shall go throughout the school and confuse all that you find there, save the two women cloaked by my invisibility spells, keep them confused until the day ends. You shall then search out the keys to the truck (she describes it in detail including location of the truck and that the keys she is interested in are the ignition keys) and return to me and inform me of their location. Then I shall give you your third task."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Alright, we got a little lucky, the spirit is willing to work with us. Might have a way to find the keys, give it a moment."

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "I'm in waiting position. Seems all is calm. My blimp can't see a thing happening. Not even you guys. Which is probably just a good thing."

Nightshade looks over at the spirit, "Alright brownie, time to play boggart, you are to go through the building and use accident on all that you come across save the two I mentioned before. Cause trouble and damage to the best of your ability materializing each time you do so, so that your victims may see you."

Commlink-Cally> Deborah clicks on again. "I found a pretty empty looking room over here. I'm going to see about getting in this window and," there is a sound of breaking glass, "Oh good. It's not armored. I'll be inside in a second."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Setting the spirit loose to cause mischief. Cally, everyone should be fairly slow and clumsy, if you see someone moving quick and purposefully, that's probably the mage."

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "I'm standing on standby. Waiting for your word to jump into action. However that would look."

Nightshade works her way carefully into the building following the spirit, keeping her ears open for the sounds of the spirits tricks trying to find one of the gangers.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "You see any guards…we need someone alive to question. Cally, if you're good at that sort of thing feel free to interrogate someone, an invisible gun feels the same as a visible one pressed against the back of your head."

Commlink-Cally> Deborah's voice has become a whisper over the Radio. "I'm ready whenever you two are, really. I just need to know when things are about to start up."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Things should be starting already. I just want to lock down where those damn keys are."

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "Oh, fuckit…I'll open that damn lock. Do you think I can just ram down that gate or is it too hard a target? Or better, can you open it?"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "If you don't see someone likely start making your way towards (she gives directions to the room where the watchers noticed the ward) but don't go in the room or you'll be visible."

Nightshade starts heading towards where the truck should be.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Tell you in a moment."

Deborah enters what used to be a cafeteria to find several joygirls passed out, most of them with simdecks laying nearby and a cable leading to datajacks. A few have small vials of drugs nearby, instead. «Uh… I think I found the truck,» she radios. After a few seconds, she comes back onto the channel. «No luck on keys, though. Where are you?» she asks.

Nightshade glances around.

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "I'm parked at the south crossing. Just a minute from the school."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "I'm in the Poli-sci wing, Cannonball you might want to start rolling. A minute is going to be an awfully long time pretty soon. Cally can she get to the truck?"

Commlink-CB> Cannonball starts the van and rolls over to the school, still trying to make it look as if it was just a random van on the road.

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "I'm on my way.""

Nightshade keeps her eyes open as she continues moving through the school. She's got one of her big swords off her back blade exposed, that she keeps ahead of her and uses to push open doors and move anything suspicious, her other hand holds one of her rifles at rest in it's sling.

Commlink-Cally> Deborah glances around the cafeteria. "I think so. I mean, they had to get this thing in here somehow, right? Yeah… There's a makeshift garage door looking thing here. Should be easy, right?"

Nightshade looks for a way to take position in the hallway that would lead from the warded room to the garage area as she approaches the cafeteria.

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "What part of the building? I'd hate to have to circle it to join the fray."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "CB give us a countdown, Cally on 10 open the doors, if you don't have them open by 5 get the hell out of the way. Cafeteria, look for a garage door style setup."

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "Copy that. 30 seconds now."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Cally, how much room does she have between the truck and the door if she needs to ram it and stop?"

Commlink-Cally> Deborah says, "Uh… not a lot. I'd say 10 meters… 12 if we're lucky?"

Nightshade reaches up behind her back, setting the blade into a clip rather than sheathing it. She readies both Alpha's as she hunkers down getting ready for things to get loud, she takes position just outside of the Cafeteria after glancing in to get the lay of the land.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "If we ding the truck, we'll stop and let CB bang it out before returning it."

Commlink-Cally> Deborah hurries, trying to find some sort of control to open the door with… and manages to continue a bit of a lucky streak. "Alright, found the door button…" she says before hitting it.

The door is noisy to open, though the passed out joygirls don't really stir from their drug-induced haze. From somewhere down the hall, Nightshade can hear the noises that accompany her Fetches, interrupted by the loud grinding noise that comes from the door. It is open 2/3 of the way. The Bulldog won't fit in, but the pickup should manage to squeak out.

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "15 seconds."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "We need to be out quick, Cally get in that pickup and check for keys before CB gets here. CB Get that pickup started, if she doesn't find them."

The noise of the Bulldogs engine is already audible as Cannon rushes in. She gives and affirmative click on the radio, then the message « 10 Seconds » comes over the waves.

Deborah moves by the windows of the truck quickly, glancing in and looking all over. "I got nothing!" she says, almost too loudly. Her voice can be heard over by the truck, as well, causing some of the zonked out women to stir.

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "5 … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1"

Then a loud smash can be heard as the van, almost lazily drives down the one side of that wooden gate. Making good use of her vans inertia.

Nightshade snaps both safeties to off and toggles the two guns over to full auto. She glances over at the stirring women, "What I wouldn't give for a grenade right now." Then she concentrates on timing a stunball into the group right when the bulldog arrives.

Debris starts flying everywhere as Cannon drives her van through that obstacle and turns her van at once to have it face to the outside. That turret pops out to have it's HMG have face towards the most likely threats in the area.

Deborah has prepared for the inevitable chaos by pulling out her two machine pistols and trying to get as far away from the improvised door as possible when she realizes that Cannonball is going to smash through it. The familiar hum of the smart link systems engaging might be heard if it weren't for the smashing and metal bending sounds. Deborah winces as she sees the Bulldog hit the front of the pickup… not as powerfully as she expected, but still enough to slide it back a few meters.

Cannonball then jumps out, giving that Pickup a little examination, but realizing her push was not hard enough for real damage, she simply walks to the drivers cabin and taking out some tools she starts to work on the vans ignition system.

Nightshade looks over at the group of girls and flattens them with a burst of her will and mana, then turns her attention back to the hallway, gathering herself for a moment, bracing herself, then unloading a burst of cover fire, she's all too familiar with the ability to sneak about invisibly to assume that an empty hallway is indeed empty.

Nightshade after the first burst Nightshade calls out over the comm.
Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Cally, if no apparent threat, throw those girls on the back of the truck and anything you see near them."

Cannonball works feverishly with her tools on that lock that prevents the truck to start. The chassis is quickly removed, but the electronics are more fickle than she had hoped for. "I hate working under pressure.." she mutters as the seconds tick away. 10…15…20..25 seconds, then the truck awakes to life.

Commlink-Cally> Deborah nods, still invisibly, and slips her machine pistols back into their holsters. She hurries over towards the passed out joygirls and begins to pick them up one at a time, unceremoniously throwing them on top of the crates in the back of the pickup.

"Sorry," she mumbles, pulling out her machine pistols again. She plants her Gecktape sticky kneepads onto the crates to keep herself from falling, and levels her machine pistols at the door. "I'm on, ready to go!"

Commlink-CB> Cannonball transduces, "5 seconds … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1" Then the truck comes alive. Cannon just checks all aboard? Either here or the van?

Nightshade grunts as she's kicked and lets her alphas hang loose reaching into her pockets and pulling out several long plastic zip ties one goes around each of the girls wrists, one around the ankles and one through the wrist tie then onto the straps holding down the crates in the back securing the girls in place. Quick like trussing a hog.

She wraps her hand around one o the support straps to make sure she doesn't go flying when the truck starts moving and readies her alpha in the other keeping here eye on the school and surrounding area.

Cannonball drives Bully as their bullet catchers out at first. Then she follows with a little distance in the wake of the heavily armored van. Guns blaring out wild suppression fire until the old school is out of sight. Then the turret is snapped back in.
She can be heard mumbling how the mage expects her to drive if she can't even see her own ride. But nonetheless the driving seems to go quite well.

From the other side of the school, 5 motorcycles appear. One of them looks around and notices… something, and rallies the others to follow. Some of them are sporting Assault Rifles. They stay very far back until it seems that the turret is done shooting, and then they begin to move closer to the hulking vehicle. Their attention is on the Bulldog, and nowhere near the invisible pickup.

Commlink-CB> Cannonball says, "I'll leave those to you guys. Unless you want me to shoot our way. After all we are right behind them…"

Commlink-Cally> Deborah says, "No idea about colors, sorry." She pauses, hearing the instructions. "Alright, I'll give it a go."

Cannonball has the vans speakers give out the following warning, "Okay, chummers. If you want to catch some more heavy lead. I have still some more in store. I'd suggest you leave me alone. Or you'll feel more lead from my Machine gun flying your way. This is my last warning."

She aims low, and lets the recoil of the weapon pull it across the target rather than trying to strong arm it and have all of the shots land in the same place. The strategy works. A pair of the bullets skip off of the front of the leader's bike, and one of them goes wide, but three of them hit with the loud bang associated with Ex Ex ammunition. the ganger swerves some, but manages to stay on the bike.
