GM: Pelmen
Players: Lobo, Serel, Grim, Questor, Fixer
Synopsis: The team has secured the first Area of the Nostromo and after a break starts out to explore the next partof the ship, accompanied by their skipper. Right after that next air-lock a few huge lobsters await the runners.
«OOC» Fixer says, "so the doors to main storage are open?"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "One door"
«Plot» Lobo says, "Yeah and broken due to the water beyond there breaking them. At least that one door."
Fixer looks on forward, trying to get a look into the next room.
«Plot» Lobo says, "Is it safe to assume.. meaning if you or I were standing in that part of the sub right here and now that it /might/ be ok to ditch these LAB's.. that way we can get this plot sped up because we can actually communicate with words?"
«OOC» Grim says, "lets hope lol"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "AS his part is one complete isolated unit, yes. The ship has 4 of those one being ther bridge, one the living area and one the reactor/hydroponics part."
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "The next door is an airlock."
Lobo wastes no time now. He starts the process of capturing the O2 enriched fluid back in to its circulators. Assuming such a thing exists. When this is accomplished or if such a system does not exist, not accomplished, he begins to remove his helmet.
Fixer will meantime explores the storage area for any more surprises and supplies.
Serel is right there with Lobo, doing the same thing. Get this helmet off of me.
Finally it looks like Questor can breath real air again. Since there are not immediate bad effects on Lobo and Sereal,
Questor gets onto his knees and removes the helmet with the liquid, puking out the liquid out of his lungs.
Grim grabbing his helmet and twisting it off chocking on the nasty fluid still left in his throat. "Thank god!" He says as he falls to his knees breathing the air.
Lobo leans over and exhales mightily once the helmet is removed. In the process, due to the exertion of expelling fluid from his lungs, he lets the helmet slip from his hands and falls to his knees. The fluid runs profusely from his nose and mouth, splashing to the floor. He takes in a deep and heavy wheezing breath…a creepy sound which echoes throughout the chamber and coughs and coughs and coughs. More fluid is expelled and more wheezing commences followed by more coughing. This appears it will take a little bit to feel like a normal breathing human again.
Serel does as well, getting rid of the remaining oxygenized liquid from her lungs, finally standing up and wiping her mouth. She shakes her head. "Right, who else does /not/ want to do that again?"
Danthrall leaves his helmet on, as well. Best wait until things are secure and know it's going to be a while before you have to start breathing liquid again before taking the helmet off… better to have one violent puking session than two. He does raise his hand at serel's question, though.
Lobo finally stands up and begins swearing. "Motherfrag!! Remind me to get a fragging transducing radio as soon as my retarded self gets topside. Assuming we even make out of this drekhole." He coughs again. "Those who have their helmets off pair up and start helping yer buddy remove this damn suit." He gestures to those that have their helmets on to remove them.
By now the techs from the subs have left and checked out the master control here. One says, "Good work, We'll start the repair on this part of the nostromo at once. I'd say you take arest before taking on the step. We'll build a kinda bridgehead here for further taking over the Nostromo. I guess they will have field beds with the next load comming down.
Grim Follows Lobo instructions and continues over to Serel offering to help her take her suit off.
Fixer points at the mini-sub, holds up one finger, then makes a gun and pulls the trigger. He holds up index finger again. Point at himself and gives a thumbs up, blah lbha, get armed first.
And then after all that, he takes his suit off also. Yes!
Questor says ""Being able to breath normal again is fantastic" taking off his suit and going to the transport box to fetch his equipment."
Lobo watches Fixer and yells, "Take off the fragging suit. I aint gonna sit here and try to figure out what the frag you peeps are tying to communicate using hand signals. This aint the military." He appears to be annoyed about the whole hand signal thing. He walks over to the sub while he talks.
Danthrall hits the helmet release clamps, twists, pulls, and then comes the goo. Yes. Goo. Not /quite/ water. Once the level has drained sufficiently past his face, he pulls the helmet off and then looks like he's constipated for a minute… and then, the sickly inhale… almost like trying to suck snot back into your nose, only more fluidic. Then, the coughing. After about a minuteor so of it, he's shakily back on his feet. "Next stretch… I want an exoskelleton… no LBAs…"
Serel heads for the sub as well, and for the box containing their gear. She is /ready/ to get suited back up.
Grim stretches after rommoving the suit twisting his arms over his head and doing a few lundges. "Alright lets get our gear everyone and lets finnish this bloody god forsaken mission, after you Serel!" Grim raises a hand politly motioning her to go ahead.
Lobo begins removing his gloves as he walks. He will pair up with whomever is available to remove the rest of his LBA suit.

The group had some rest at an small area cut off by nothing more than some hospital style cotton dividers, having at least minimal privacy as the arriving corp crews busy start to repair these parts of the Nostromo. In fact it is a quite noisy process, so the ammunt of sleep the runners will get is questionable. Still, it is a rest, with fresh food and the chance to lay down on a fieldbed.

Danthrall sleeps alright, oddly enough. City is where his totem thrives, and as such, he's used to being able to sleep through loud noises. He walkes up after a few hours of sleep and walks around, working the kinks out that come from sleeping on a cot at the bottom of the ocean.
Lobo wakes up out of his somewhat restless sleep. He swings his feet over to the side of the cot and sits there. He would looks a bit bleary-eyed if it wasn't for those mirrored protective covers. He yawns and gets to his feet. "Rise and shine ladies and germs. We got the rest of the sub to recon."
After having had a rather noisy sleep, still the rest was very welcome to Questor. Quickly he remembers about why the team has been sent here to this rather unfamiliar enviroment. Knowing the tasks that are waiting for the team, he asks some nearby about the time and then takes a deep breath and his eyes start to glow, making him smile a moment afterwards. Anyone closeby could see a unicorn dancing in his eyes. Then he starts to but on his gear, heading out to the rest of the team. "Hi there, i guess we have some cleaning work to do."
Serel opens her eyes at the announcement, ready almost as soon as she hears it. She gets up, putting her gear back in its places, grabbing everything she carries with her normally, leaving the duffel with the rest for the time being. She can always get it later if it becomes necessary.
Fixer pours some powder in bottled water and drinks down the mix. In 30 minutes the chemicals will kick in, meantime, he continues to help with repairs.
Lobo begins to don his gear as well. His facial expression is of pleasure as he picks up each Ares Predator III to holster them. As he grabs each weapon, the induction pads in his palms interact with the pistol causing it to come to life. Readouts on the weapon and inside his cybereyes tell him everything he needs to know about their status and condition.
The skipper of the assistance team leans at one of the walls overseeing some techs that right now haul in crates with equipment it seems. Seeing the group assemble he nods and approaches, "'evenin' folks, 's a nice machien we have here, but as it seems the interestin' part are still missin' in matters o' access. may I ask how ya plan ter continue?", he asks. He's the huge scandinavian blue eyed blonde type.
«Plot» Lobo says, "Did all of our gear make the trip in the box intact?"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "Yep"
Danthrall munches on a protein bar while he opens the container that his gear was stowed in. "Good, i's all dry," he comments around the chewy mouthful. He gets to work gearing up… Form-fitting is comfortbable enough to sleep in… being form-fitting, and all, but the rest of his armor is too bulky. He stops with only one leg in his jumpsuit, and removes the bar from his mouth long enough to ask a simple question. "We need a way of talking this go-round. Any chance you've got diving gear that would fix that?"
Lobo looks around the assembled group and answers the skip of the assistance team, "That depends. I am thinking some of us are gonna get wet and very cold if none opt to re-don the LBA gear. You got anyone running around outside this boat inspecting the outter hull?"
Lobo adds, "I am assuming by lack of access you mean flooded rooms."
The skipper shakes his head, "Nope, not since those Kraken thingies attacked divers around. Ya coulda told us 'bout 'em…if ya knew…" His look grazes the groups mages a bit as he says that.
Danthrall casts a glance at Questor at that one, frowning at him.
Fixer checks the connections and batteries on the ruth suit and power it up at 3 scanners. After tests are complete, he powers down, putting on the helmet and bulky goggles to completelly cover his body.
Lobo nods, "Right. Well my team needs to have a quick pow wow to finalize alternate plans. We'll fill you in with the rest of the info in a few."
Questor shrugs, "well, we were not aware you would crawl around the ship though. But yes, i think we may have some work to do there and figure out how to get rid of them" looking at Danthrall.
Skip lean at the wall, "Nothin' to do for me here but standin' Inna way…so if ya need a few strong hands I'm willin' ter assist. Maybe my skills might be usefull too to ya…After all yer all simple landsmen." He bows to Serel, "No pun intended.", he then says.
Serel nods back, smiling. "None taken."
Danthrall shrugs. "About the only thing I think we'll be needing is a set of suits that will let us talk while we're mucking around in submerged compartments."
Lobo smiles at the Skip's suggestion. "Yeah actually your skills would come in handy. You can listen in on our planning and feel free to pipe in any suggestions, especially if you have a better or more efficient way of doing something. I know Jack and Shit about underwater, pressure dangers, what can and cannot be pressurized. I know quite a lot about killing things though."
Skip nods, "Well…mosta da danger's gettin' up 'n down…decompression trouble 'n such. Or in and out if yer wokin' inna on athmosphere biosphere like dis 'un. The safest stuff is off course da LBA stuff, but if yer shuer ya not gonan face massive pressure switches, I'd say ya jus use divin' helmet with mic's attached 'n put ya radio stuff inna radio bag."
Lobo nods, "What's your opinion on the water temperature of any submerged rooms on this sub as compared to the water temperature outside? Same or a bit warmer due the power source here?
Skip shrugs, "'s notta powersouce…I'm bettin someun' landed her onna hot smoker or hot umnderwater spring of sorts. Dat's what migh explain all da beasties around…nutritious water."
Lobo says "You got a point Skip. I aint no biologist so never took that in to consideration." He pauses, scratching his chin, "Yeah I like the diving helmet part. You think the LBA helmet would work or do you guys got some more stream-lined diving helmets we can use?"
Fixer turns on the ruth and heads to the sub control area, to make sure everything still secure.
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "You are in the sub control area, Fixxer."
«OOC» Fixer says, "main storage doors… one open/broke, one closed, right?"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "Yep"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "They currently work on the doors."
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "basically it seems they install airlockable doors to mainstorage."
«OOC» Fixer says, "mainstorage is drained, right?"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "right"
«OOC» Lobo says, "And probably chock full of afterbirth and mermaid poop. :P"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "They seem to have cleared that out."
Serel nods. "Sounds good. We going out now, or waiting for those doors?"
Commlink-Default> Fixer says, "Affirmative, comrade."

Serel smiles.
Fixer will head into main storage, mostly utilising low-light and astral, relying on stealth.
Mainstorage is /quite/ empty and you see two guys in exo suits stacking supplies as quick as they come in.
Lobo says "I say we head out now. Skip, if you want to come along and are willing to stay at the rear of the class, that's fine. But, do you know how to shoot a gun?"
«OOC» Lobo says, "Busy beavers while we slept.. :D"
Skip shrugs, "I grew up in speargun central…So I know how ter handle one o' 'em…'n I owe none o' ya other gun stuff anyway…I'm a sailor, no soldier."
Fixer will move to check out the north corridor door and without opening it, whatever is beyond it.
Lobo nods. He unslings his speargun from his shoulder and hands it over to the Skip. "Use mine. You are along as an advisor so if the drek gets deep, you get down and don't get killed. Scan?"
Danthrall finishes pulling his armor on, and shoves all his gear into their pockets. He finishes munching on his power bar while all the talking is going on, quiet, yet attentive, and drains a bottle of water before moving into ain Storage with the rest of the runners.
Still thinking about the threat the Kraken may pose, Questor finished eating and rearmoring and follows the team into the storage
Serel heads in as well, fully armored and geared. For the moment, she has her armored helmet on instead of a dive helmet.
Lobo looks at Serel, "Ok. You're point as is Fixer. I'm rear the mages and Skip stay in the middle. We can head out when everyone is ready."
Lobo will take up the rear of the group as the head in to main storage.
«OOC» Lobo says, "I am under the impression that this crawler is simply enormous right?"
«ADMIN» Pelmen says, "about 100m meters long, was meant as powercenter and support center for a mining system, The mining arms are about 20m extra and contain docking air-locks."
Serel nods. "Right. Don't shoot unless you know where I am. Gonna try and be a bit stealthy." With that, she shimmers and vanishes. Even thermal has a harder time picking her up.
The look through the airlock doors of the 'north' passage is murky. The dirt of several generations of Merrows born in here has obviously made the window mostly opaque.

From afar, Danthrall will go project and find out.

Danthrall nods and closes his eyes, sending his spirit off to the other side of the door to see what the situation is.
You paged Danthrall with 'The airlock is clean, the corridor behind it is waisthigh flooded.'.
Danthrall's eyes open a monet later. "The airlock itself is empty… beyond that… perhaps waist-high water."
Lobo looks at the Skip. "Is water draining in to Main Storage going to be a problem or are the other techs aware of possible rushes of water entering areas when we open airlocks?"
Skip shakes his head, "There's no water goin ter drain in…unless ya override controlls that is…these ailocks will only open one side when there has been pressure adaption. Anyway….that grate before the door", he points down, "hides strong pumps, just in case. And then there is the emergeny pumps in every room. The Nostromo is a sound design. Shame that they didn' add airlocks for the Mainstorage from the beginning. Prolly never thought it neccessary."
Lobo nods at Skip. "Ok you heard the man. We can proceed."

Lobo steps forward and opens the airlock.
Danthrall sits down and crosses his legs, sending his spirit out into the sirlock. He manifests, appearing as a hazy image to the other runners, and just floats there, waiting for them to arrive.

«OOC» Fixer says, "Lobo, Ser and myself, sir."

Lobo steps in to the airlock and waits for Serel and Fixer. The last one has to shut the door.
Seeing Danth sit down and project, Questor thinks a second, then sits down, closes his eyes and appears beside Danthrall, waving at the other runners.
Serel is already inside. Benefits of being invisible.
Once the first door of the airlock is closed and sealed, Lobo will open the airlock door at the opposite side. He will draw his pistol before pushing it fully open.

As the enrance door is closed the mechanism equalized the rooms. Room pressure slowly raises with water level. then the door finally opens.

Fixer flicks his left hand, a small metal tip popping from this thumb nail and hanging in the air. He moves closer to his group, taking a flanking possition for attack.

Lobo steps in to the room and ahead darts a big fuggin' lobster! Surprise is not an option as the big man crouches down and takes aim underwater with his pistol. He thumps off two shots. One shot careens off the Lobster's armor the other shot goes wide, missing it completely.

Lobo pages: We are having a thought that when all is said and done, we want to see if Skip's crew can gather up these lobster bodies for us. We want to discover if we can salvage the shells. For possible use as armor either here or later, topside.
Serel pulls out the largest handgun ever made, a Desert Eagle .50 cal /cannon/. She takes careful aim, and the gun barks twice, the explosion of her shots echoing throughout the compartment, deafening anyone nearby for a second or two. To the other runners, the giant gun seems to appear in midair. The first bullet impacts, shearing off a few legs. The second one hits square in the center, but the armor turns aside the worst of it, and the thing manages to survive, barely, sqirming on the floor with it's shell gaping.

Fixer avoids the claw snap, rolling to the side. The second claw snaps right in front of him. The human gains advantage of the flank and snaps the left arm at the creature, almost invisible wire extending out of his finger and slicing through the creatures armor and cutting off one of the legs. Fixer keeps his distance, circling to stick together with his group.

Lobo doesn't fare so well. The big insect looking critter, which should normally be sitting in a pot being boiled managed to dart out one of its claws and snaps it down around Lobo's body. Thankfully the man is rather tough and appears to bear the snap of that claw. He squirms and slides out of the huge claw before it can get a solid hold on him.
Suddenly noticing 3 big lobster attacking Serel, Lobo and Fixer, Questor sends his nature spirit to confuse the attackers.

Fixer avoids an attack from the left, lets the claw from the right slide over his back, the armor padding absorbing the impact, only slightly off-balancing his breathing. He begins a short chant in a language long forgotten, focussing on what he thinks the weakness is, the creatures legs. The human darts to the side, whip extending to max reach and slicing through the lobsters extremeties. I don't know what the fuck it bleeds, but someof it is comming out.

Fixer keeps side stepping, trying to flank the creatures, yet not step in the line of fire. He keeps about 2m between him and the closest opponent. This time he doesn't move it to attack, just snaps the thumb/wire at the creature, like some lion tamer. The monowire cuts indiscriminatly, not relying on the human's strength or force of the attack, rather just pure contact and molecular composition.
With contact assault of the whip and small part of the shell cut away, the exoskeletons gives and the intestines spill out, making the creatue first immobile, then thrashing in a last deadly spasm.
