Players: Nixie, Nina
Synopsis: Nixie and Nina discover that Sister Ann Marie is a summoned demon succubus creature from the underworld. They dispatch of this vial abomination with astral combat with Nina's elementals and Nina tracks the conjuring thread of magic back to the magical groups location that is controlling the attack on the church. More threads are pulled on and a larger plot develops for later.

Nina thinks . o 0 (The people in the shelter are sleeping right now. If we can narrow down who likely knows the information we want… I could (pause).. use Mind Probe to delve into their mind while they are sleeping and lest resistant.. to find the information we need.)
Nixie nodded to Nina looking around the room. "Well the Father was talking about an old guy that was one of the last ones seen with her. I would start with the oldest man in the room and work your way down. The shelter itself can't be full of that many people." She said walking down the stairs with her out of the clergy quarters and towards the shelter itself. "Hopefully he saw her leave with someone or maybe heard her talking to someone. Right now we don't have many leads other then she might be a prostitute on top of being a nun."
Nina thinks . o 0 (This sounds reasonable. Okay, you lead the way, hopefuly they are all sleeping in the shelter and we don't wake them up and look suspicous.)
Nixie smirked she'd snagged something from the Nuns room and tossed Nina a set of robes to throw over her outfit, just in case as she threw on a black cloak herself to fit in as a member of the clergy in case anyone did open their eyes. Reducing the chances that they might all freak out and start yelling about who they were. Arriving at the shelter she looked around a moment and slowly opened the door slipping inside and leaving the door open for now they'd have it as an exit if they really needed it. Talking internally to Nina "Alright do your thing."

New-Nina catches the robes . o 0 (Good idea). Across the link her mind sends some strange words in an unknown language and then her clothing shifts and adjusts and turns into Nuns robes within about two seconds. She tosses the robes back with a coy smile. o 0 (Magic *is* pretty cool).
«Plot» Nina says, "Woops.. TN was 6 - Only 1 success. But it works."
Nixie rolled her eyes a little still speaking internally. "Show off. Anyhow that one looks pretty old a decent place to start?" She said stopping in front of one of the beds next to an elderly man. Looking around the room and even walking towards the linen closet the Father mentioned earlier as she waited for Nina to try her mind probe before they woke anyone up. "Try to keep it to just tonights events.. I got..Hang ups when it comes to messing with peoples heads."

Nina-Nun goes with Nixie down the cooridor, through the cathedral of the church and then out the back door to the lobby and then to the shelter door. They slip through the doorway to move into the room where beds are set up for sleeping.

Nina slips quietly in her nun outfit down the center aisle between the beds. As she starts she pauses, takes out her sunglasses and puts them on. Around her eyes her face lights up a little as the lowlight/thermal/ultrasound vision flips from mode to mode as she adjusts them to the mode that will let her see the best for this process.
«Plot» Nina says, "Sorry, Ultrasound does not work unless she has the smartglove attached and has the gun in hand to emit the sound emitter… so ignore that part of the pose above. Only lowlight and thermal."
Nixie carefully stepped through the room with Nina her internal low light augmentations in her cybereyes turning on as she tried not to make too much noise and wake everyone inside and luckily they were able to keep it down enough that they didn't start a ruckus of homeless people in the shelter. She spoke internally again looking to Nina. "Lemme know when you got something."
Nina moves down the aisle now, carefully looking until she finds the oldest looking man asleep in the room. She stops at the foot of his bed and reaches a hand out towards him, much like a Jedi master and in the mindlink the sounds again begin with that strange magical language.

Nina achieves amazing results slipping into the mans mind while he is sleeping. The mind resists her a little but she still have dominion over his mind to probe into it for answers easily.
Nina thinks . o 0 (I am in.. what shall I look for? Anything on Sister Ann Marie?)
Nixie nodded to her speaking within. "Yea, tonight or if he's seen her around on the streets. We gotta find out who shes connected to outside of the church. If we can do that we can probably find our burglars and find out if she was working with them or if they coerced her.
Nina turns her mind into the man's to inquire….
Nina thinks . o 0 (I can see his memories with Sister Ann Marie giving her clean lenins at the storage closet. He is walking up to her and she is helping him. He does not seem to have secretive and concealing thoughts of her.. wait… Ah.. now that is interesting…)
Nixie continued to listen to Ninas mind as she searched the mans own looking around and keeping watch just in case anyone came in on them while she worked her quite literal magic. "What did you find, something we can work with I hope?"
Nina ends the link with the man's mind and then turns and nods to Nixie with an urgency in her eyes and starts to walk towards Nixie and the exit area to leave the room . o 0 (We need to check out that supply closet across the lobby in the soup kitchen).
Nixie gave Nina a curious glance a hint of apprehension on her features as she could feel the tension in Ninas voice within her mind. She started to walk towards the closet that she mentioned making sure not to bump into any of the beds thanks to her low-light vision as she arrived at it. "Wanna do the honors?" She said ready for anything before Nina opened it.
Nina moves with Nixie out of the shelter room and into the main lobby again on the tile floor and they carefully close the shelter door and then move over to the soup kitchen door. Nina opens it slowly and carefully with her low-light activated in the sunglasses. The evening lighting settings in the lobby offer light into the storage room where the lights are turned off.
The storage room is lined with metal shelves filled with food at the far end. Here nearest the doorway as lines of tables with wooden benches. On the left wall is the doorway into the kitchen and on the right wall is a door marked (Supplies).
Nina steps in and notes that the emergency exit signs and the light offer a tiny bit of light and so she leaves the light switch off for now and motions for Nixie to close the door to the lobby behind them . o O (Can you see in dark conditions like this?).
Nixie nodded to Nina." Yea I have low-light augments in my cybereyes I'm fine, flash-resistant to if that comes up." She said looking around the storage room as she waited for Nina to point out and open the particular closest she saw in the mans mind. "You looked a little spooked in there, what did you see?" She asked with a slight bit of hesitation. "Reading minds kinda creeps me out. Don't even do that to me huh? I'm afraid what kinda things you might see." She said with a little wink in Nina's direction.
Nina thinks . o 0 (I will stay out of your mind with that spell. It *is* intrusive. I got a very good look into his mind though.. deep into his subconcious even. He did not even personally comprehand what he was seeing when he came up to Sister Ann Marie when she was at the supply closet.. but.. (pause).. I do not think she is human. As he came up on her at the closet she was just putting rubber floor mat down on the floor that was concealing what looked like a trap door of sorts. It was a milli-second before the old man's mind could comprehend what he was seeing but I am pretty sure I saw some sort of black wings on her back tucking into her robes before she stood up. That's when the old man's mind caught up with the visual of entering the storage room and when he started his conversation with her for linens that he specifically remembers).
Nixie gave a bit of a surprised expression. "Afraid my magical beastiary isn't exactly up to date. What kinda creature looks human but has black wings? Is she like a succubus or something?" She asked a little surprised at even the possibility they could be dealing with a demon of all things. "But i guess that would at least explain all the cock sucking." She said with a thoughtful shrug of her shoulders. Walking over towards Nina to investigate that floor mat and moved it aside.
Nina moves with Nixie to the storage room and they open up that door and step inside. The room is about 5 meters (15 feet) x 5 meters and the walls are lined with metal shelves holding bedding and various other shelter type supplies. In the center of the room is a rubber mat for standing on so your legs do not get so tired. Nina ponders across the mindlink (a strange thing, they are going and doing all manner of stuff and doing it without saying a word aloud). o 0 (It makes sense.. you are right I think. A demon would love to desecrate the church, pervert it.. and steal from its relics would make sense also. This just jumped up several levels of horrific from a standard burglar).
Nina steps back a half step from the rubber mat and nods down at it . o 0 (That's the place).
Nixie bit her bottom lip looking to Nina" Never tangled with a demon before.. I'm guessing our options just went far away from the possibility of a non-lethal solution. Were not exorcists or anything, can we even take out a demon?" She asked never having tangled with anything like that before as she moved to lift up that mat and toss it aside.
Nina puts her foot on the trap door handle that is recessed into the floor so it does not make a lump in the carpet.. a (hold on) gesture to chat a bit before opening the hatch . o 0 (The most effective way from a non-magical person to attack into the spirit world would be to punch them. This is a direct use of your essence, your humanity and soul against the creature. If you use a knife it will also work but it is one step away from your physical contact. Likewise a weapon can work, but again it is less effective because you are introducing more and more technology and stepping further away from the link to your essence.. or soul. I can bring forth some Elementals to attack, but I will likely leave them in the astral world to fight because if they are here in the physical world they could be blasting things apart and burning down buildings. In the astral world because a demon is dual natured and in both worlds at the same time.. they can attack the demon on the astral world and damage it there). Nina sends out a mental command for all of her six watcher spirits to join her here in the storage room. In just a couple moments the invisible pixies in the astral world come rushing on in, eager to assist their master.
Nina considers. o 0 (Do we want to slow down and consider setting a trap? Or do we want to move in since people are asleep and away and won't get caught up in any fighting if we go down and find her below where we can fight with less collateral damage than up here in the church?).
Nixie sighed a moment. "Sadly my best plan involves me being bait.. She seems to focus her efforts on people with certain equipment right?" She inclined her head forward. "She'd probably find you threatening immediately being a powerful Mage and all. But if you can see up some kind of trap that I could draw her into we might be able to capture her by surprise or kill. I'm not sure how you even go about dealing with demons. But i'm guessing you might know of something you can prepare while I try to lure her towards you? I can just pretend I was some young local kid dared to sneak into the church at night or something and found this place."
Nina thinks . o 0 (I do not know that I have any guaranteed answer or plan. Being a demon though if this is what she… it is. She will be able to sense your cyberware and the darkness within you from it. I do not know if it will happen her desires for I think they feast off the emotions and soul of the person and strictly speaking, in the astral.. you would appear less appealing. But it might work. I can mask my magical abilities though and appear normal and mundane in the astral world. I am not. .but I can look it. I still have to deal with astral barries and the like but to an observer.. I can look totally mundane. A demon.. if powerful enough though.. can see through the illusion perhaps. (pause).. now.. um.. The I am just guessing here.. but if this -is- some sort of sexual feasting demon lady with black batwing things… and she is obviously attracted to and skilled in sexual leanings towards men. I think perhaps the best bait (pause.. nervous mental blushing).. would be to engage in the throws of passion.. I think it would draw her to us. But.. that includes me being unprepared and distracted. Unless… (pause).. unless we can find someone that would agree to engaging in this with you while I hid off out of view for an ambush).
Nixie looked to Nina and gave a glance at her eyes widening a little bit at her explination as she bit her bottom lip a little bit and stepped closer. "Nina you're not weak when you're with me. I saw you the first time that (Confidential Editing). I think you just have this hang up where you think it weakens you. But I saw, you can feed off of it. Maybe now is the best time to practice getting a little wild with your magic." She said and moved in her arms wrapping around Nina resting on the small of her back. "But I mean, if were gonna enjoy one another. Can you turn back into your actual self? The lady I was standing behind at Subway is kinda starting to freak me out." She said with a little giggle as she got an idea. "Wait you said my aura makes me look unappetizing like I'm barely alive right?.. Could you make me appear to be a demon like her in the astral? That way when we lure her in she'll think you're my victim and we can get the drop on her even more easily."
Nina ponders the details and intricacies of their planning before responding through the mindlink . o O (I can conceal my own astral signiture and manipulate it to appear more powerful or less powerful or completely mundane. I can also manipulate the aura around my sustaining foci and magical equipment; but I can not manipulate the aura of another in the astral world. I can only do it to the magical items because I have linked my spirit with them previously and this ties me to them and lets me adjust them as if they were a part of me).
Nixie tilted her head. "Hmmm then maybe you get to be the actress. Make yourself appear the demon, and I can play myself. A shadowrunner that was sent to take care of the burglary problem that you seduced and got trapped in your evil little web. Your 'sister' demon will of course find that amusing and want to thank you, maybe get a little snippy about moving on your territory but it will at least lower her guard.. I can pretend to be all enthralled by ya and then when the times right you ready up a big spell and I try to hit her with a sword? Now c'mon lemme see the real you."
Nina-Nun considers this plan and the mindlink shows true concern and worry of emotion . o O (I can only guess at the mind of a demon, their politics and the workings of why they do things, territorial needs, higherarcy of who tells them what to do or are they independent? It would be like someone that has only watched mafia movies going up to a real mafia leader and trying to bluff them. It would be like.. Poser Alert! I.. I am not a parahunter nor a demon expert. I just don't feel comfortable trying to fake out a demon as if they were a common pimp in the Warrens).
Nixie gave a half smile. "Its not about knowing, its about faking right? You just follow her lead and if all else fails you act like shes the dumb one for not knowing who or what sent you. Demons gotta be prideful right? She'll probably fake knowing what she thinks you know just to appear smart. She doesn't know she'd been made yet. But I mean if it doesn't work we 've at least lured her out and can fight right?"
Nina thinks . o 0 (I don't have the confidence to manipulate and lie to people and to fake them out like you do (No Fasttalk Skill). I mean.. yeah, it sounds like that may work but I can tell you if you hand me a violin and want me to play like a professional touring artist.. it's going to sound like a dying cat. I just do not have the skills you are wanting me to do.)
Shrugs. "Then forget that plan. We'll just do it your way and lure her to us. Going into her lair is dangerous and who knows what she's got to protect her. But here we probably got a better shot right? Theres no way I'm gonna make you watch me fuck someone else, that'd just be cruel.. So.. its gotta be us." She said with a half smile holding her close. "Besides I don't want anyone else, as sappy as that might sound I'm crushing pretty hard on you."
Nina does not pull back from the embrace of Nixie and remains as the subway lady in a nun outfit for now . o 0 (Do you mind if I do an astral recon of the passage below? Have you been around anyone that has done that?)
Nixie shakes her head to both. "No, go ahead. I'm guessing you kinda leave your body for a bit though right? I had to watch over you?"
Nina thinks . o 0 (Perfect, yes; you are exactly right.)
Nina moves, wiggles a bit to get out of Nixie's grasp and then moves off to the side to sit down and lean against the wall/shelving and get comfortable for the leaving of the body task.
Nixie moves to stand watch. "Promise 'll behave myself with your body while you're body. Everything will be just as you left it!" She said with a little wink leaning over and waving.
Nina closes her eyes and concentrates, calming herself as she slips from her body and her astral form insivisbile on the mundane plane where Nixie is floats up out of her body. The Pixies (watcher spirits) look a little concerned as the full power of their master is now on the astral plane with them but she comforts them with a thought and instructs two of them to remain with Nixie and to come warn her if anyone or anything dual natured comes into the storage room with Nixie while she is off astral reconning the area below. The remaining four pixies she instructs to come with her.
Nina examines the trap door and does not find any astral barrier on it and so passes through it and into the area below.

About five minutes later, Nina drifts back into her body and her eyes open up. Her eyes look a bit worried with the expression on her face. o 0 (The passage goes downward into a maze of tunnels. I had to use my watcher spirits to post at intersections so I did not get lost. It is.. a catacombs. One of the passages I found leads into the warehouse cathedral below where the artifacts were stored. Another passage I found leads to a big open chamber deeper in the Earth and further away from the church towards the West.. the mountains. The chamber is more natural and is not carved by tools.. a cave with stalagtites and stalagmites and pools of black clear water and the like. There is even some moss that glows a green light.. I've never seen stuff like that before. Well… in the center of that chamber is a black pit. I could sense…. a darkness.. a heavy soul sucking inky nothingness from it and I did not want to get near it…. so I came back).
Nixie gulps a little kneeling down next to her. "Like a portal to hell kinda nothingness? Maybe we lure this demons 86 her, and then we call in the god squad to try to take care of whatever that is? Seems a little above our pay grade yea? Unless you know what to do about that kinda thing but I dunno if there's a bonus in it for us."
Nina thinks . o 0 (Oh yeah.. this is super major. I have never sensed anything so dark and cold before on the astral. I don't like the idea of going anywhere near that cavern again. I'm glad we aren't going down there. I used to have boxes full of explosives but I just sold them a couple weeks ago. Even so; that would only close the physical portal.. it seems as if there is a spirital and astral portal that would not be harmed by a physical closing of the gateway. You are right though.. that is… way beyond my pay grade).)
Nixie put a hand on Ninas shoulder. "Alright then, all we can do for now is treat the symptoms if we don't have a cure. We take care of this demon which is what we were hired to do and then we inform our employer about the hole in the world and job done right? Who knows maybe they'll call us again to handle it but that seems like a problem were not currently prepared for like you said."
Nina thinks . o 0 (I would really like to be able to recover the stollen items.. the relics. I don't think they would take those down into a spiritual world do you? Maybe they would.. I do not know.)
Nixie shrugged her shoulders. "Well honestly I thought this was simple, the nuns hookin, got a loose tongue, told her pimp and they went and stole some shit. But now, I mean…Demons?! A portal to hell maybe. I'm afraid my real life experience kinda falls a little short here I have no idea was a succubus would do with that stuff. Unless.. Can mages summon demons? Maybe shes got a master thats looking to get rich?"
Nina considers the summoning demons angle. o 0 (Oh… well… I think… yes. It would be a type of conjuring similar to me conjuring up my little watcher spirits). With that, Nina informs the six little pixies for the first time to show themselves in the mundane world. They start popping into view and buzzing around with little pixie wings and doing silly pixie stuff in the room visible now to Nixie. Nina continues their mindlink conversation . o 0 (The same technique is used for my elementals… those come from different planes of existance.. fire, earth, water and air. As you know there are spiritual planes as well. I know some forms of magic are sued to possess the soul and minds of people.. blood magic and Houdons or some such but I stay far away from that. A secret organization I did some work for in the past hired us to go hunt down mages and shamans that took that path of corrupted magic and destroy them. I think it would be these types that could summon or conjure up a demon like this. And likely.. not just one mage or shaman.. but an entire.. coven or group would be needed. I think it makes sense that we're looking at a group, or organization that has reason to tarnish the Catholic church and for some reason.. select out specific relics.. perhaps magical items from their treasure troves).
Nina thinks . o 0 (I could call in that secret group to deal with the coven that summoned her.. after we kill her. Perhaps that might work?)
Nixie leaned back looking a little exasperated this was a bit over her head but she shrugged and nodded. "Sure, what the heck. I said I'd be here for you that night and I'm not going to go back on that now, or ever. We'll handle this demon, complete the jobs, and then we'll start up the magical crusade. Now please, for the love of /god/ stop being the subway lady." She said with deadpan expression as if she'd been fighting back the urge to laugh having to do all of this with the random woman at the fast food restaurant.
Nina-Nun offers a grin and then looks around, checking for cameras to make sure her "real" self is not captured on any security footage. Spotting no cameras, she drops the illusion and her image shivers and warbles as if looking through a heat marage and then she is good old normal Nina…. dressed as a Nun. o 0 (Should we put the rubber mat back so it doesn't look like we know about the trap door?).
Nixie did just that her eyes looking towards the multitude of pixies and muttered softly. "Lil faerie pervs. Hope you like the show." she said blowing a kiss as she put the mat back in place before walking towards Nina as she leaned down and held her close a hand moving up and sliding through her hair as she shivered gently. "God, just being close to you gets me all worked up.." She said with a playful lick of her cheek before leaning in for a kiss, and then another. A hand traveling downwards snaking along her back before grasping a handful of her ass through that robe.

Nina sends a mental command to her pixies for them to hide in the corners of the room, to swarm and confuse/distract any dual natured creature that comes into the room that is not Nina or her elementals.
Nina then slips her vision into the astral world so she can summon elementals to her aide. In the astral world nina calls forth three earth elementals (voucher #6878/1, 2, 3: Force 5, Force 5, Force 6). She also calls forth two fire elementals (voucher #6878/4, 5: Force 6, Force 5) and then her air elemental (Voucher #6878/6: Force 5) Nina instructs through mental commands, one group at a time because each requires specific and unique instruction and can not all be commanded as one large group because they are rivals and distinctly different and require unique commands, (In the mundane world it looks like Nina has that strange long off gaze again and little bits of mindlink drip through as if she is giving military instructions to some unseen army). Nina offers instruction in turn to all of them with the same command, "Remain in the astral plane in this room with Nina and Nixie and the pixies. She points out the "friendles" who not to attack and then explains: If any dual natured creature enters this room, the pixies will be distracting and harrasing the creature and the elementals are to attack the creature in the astral plane and destroy it.
The elemental groups agree to their terms of service and move off and wait. In the astral world it is an incredible sight, massive powerful elementals of fire, earth like golumns and spinning wind air creatures staged around the room looking and waiting for something to attack.

I have six very powerful elementals instructed to attack the demon when it shows up, the pixies are also very good at swarming around the head and distracting in combat to make it harder for the demon to fight back. Nixie and Nina engage in increased heart-rate physical activity in the room above the demon's secret access hatch, the secure armored jacket now looking like a heavy nun robe but about five times thicker than a normal nun robe. It gets pulls back to expose her shirt and that soon gets unbuttoned to expose her bare stomach and then chest as the two continue their passionate activities.
After about five minutes the rubber mat is hoisted up quickly and the trap door thrown upward.. .the 'scent' of passion must have been like a semi-truck air horn for the sexual demon.

Within less than a second of time, the Demon Nun lurches forward with a gash on her back, spins and gets a big cut across her right breast and down her stomach and then suddenly her head gets severerd by something invisible and she flops to the ground upon her whispy black wings and her head rolls to stop at Nixie's feet.

Nixie blinked a little standing there looking more than a little confused. Here she was ready to fight a giant demon and well..It's head rolled and hit her in the feet. "You know Nina.." She turned around slightly. "This has perhaps been one of the stranger runs I think this city has ever seen." After all here she was watching their prey die to seemingly nothing while she holds a sword with a hard on. "But you know all in all, at least not the worst." She said with a little laugh and a shrug leaning down to pick up the head. "Uhh should we take this for proof?"

Nina's heart is still racing from the passionate encounter just seconds before and the combat had errupted and before she could turn around to assist it was over. She seems a little frazzled . o 0 (Um… Yeah. I do not think the Priest new about this secret door, he made it sound like the only entrance before was from that office behind the stage area. I think this tunnel and the catacombs must have been wiped from the records and forgotten a long time ago. (pause) I should probably contact the Order of Merlin to they can bring in people to deal with this portal into the underworld and the likely magical group that summoned this creature. I don't think we want to deal with that… do you?)
Nina pulls her shirt around her a bit and starts to button up as she bends down and looks at the body of the creature and the head out of curiosity, hoping for a clue.

Nina examines the body and considers it a moment before she slips her vision into the astral world again to examine it there. Once perceiving in the mirrored world she thanks her elementals and the pixies (pixies are about expired now anyway) and lets them all head back to their natural homes for now.
Looking in the astral, Nina spots a thin tendril of power tracing from the head of the Demon out into the astral world.. the link of control to the magical group. Likely to vanish and be broken soon after death.
Nixie shook her head walking with Nina. "Nah I'm young but I'm not dumb but I am full of cum." She said with a little smirk leaning down to look with her. "We gotta know more before we get involved in this. I'm pretty much useless against these kinds of things but if we can find the summoners they should be physical enough to get perforated by some bullets. Just don't think were gonna find those answers here, not tonight at least. If we haul back some of her will it help you find the ones that summoned her?" She asked looking the corpse before them.
Nina thinks . o 0 (Wait… the link of power that summoned and controls the demon.. it's still connected. I need to astrally project and see if I can follow it to its source… or we'll loose this lead.)

Nixie seemed a little nervous about that idea she hugged Nina from behind resting her chin on her shoulder. Nina smiles to Nixie, "Thank you dear," she offers to the kindness offered to her. With her shift buttoned up properly now she leans back against Nixie and then closes her eyes and projects out into the astral world, departing from her body she gets a look on that tendral of power connected to the head of the demon and moves to race along it with haste before it vanishes… she hopes.

When Nina eventually woke up she'd be in the Nun's room they were in earlier in the bed and beneath the blankets. Her shoes had been removed along with some of her outfit so she didn't sweat through it all leaving her in her undies. Nixie for her part was sitting at the desk checking her gear and even fiddling with some of Nina's gizmos out of curiosity as she waited.

In the astral world, Nina quickly follows the tendril of energy through the city, down alleys, over rooftops, into a warehouse and out the other side. The connection to its source is not a straight path and she is not sure why.. but such is the nature of the astral. After a little over an hours time she has crisscrossed Denver several times and been over several borders and finally ends up only about six blocks from the Church in the FTZ. How horrible and exhaustive to end up at the end and be so close to where she started.
Having found the source, a penthouse level of a downtown luxury lifestyle apartment building, Nina slips her head into the window to peer inside better because it was a bit hazy.. BAMF! Shit.. an astral ward. Her head bounces off from it and sets off a magical alarm.
It takes Nina about 1 second to zip back to her body, also a neat feature of the astral world. It was good Nixie told her where her body was going to be kept or she would have an issue with being separated from her body and that never goes well.
Nina opens up her eyes and takes in a deep breath before reaching up and feeling her head out of instinct where she bashed her astral form against the ward . o O (Ugh.. (mindlink mutter).. I found the source… a penthouse level on a downtown luxury apartment building about six blocks from here. The apartment has a ward on it to keep astral things from coming in. I did not attempt to breach it so I should not have set off any alarms, but I bumped my head against it pretty solidly…. newbie mistake).

Nixie stood up and walked over towards her as Nina rattled out what happened and then tilted her head. "Well yea, I didn't know how long you'd be so I thought your body might as well get some rest while you were gone, then I thought its kinda warm and if you had on all your gear you'd probably be hot and sweat like crazy, it wasn't anything I hadn't already seen so I took off your stuff and folded it on the desk." She paused a moment. "But its uhh, turns out you were only like an hour and a half though… So I guess it was a little unnecessary."
Nina smiles warmly. o 0 (It's perfectly okay.. and very kind and thoughtful of you to take care of me so well, thank you). Nina mentally drops the Create Clothing spell and the magic that changed her clothing shatters, returning it back to her normal clothing.
Nins sits up slowly in the bed and lets the blanket fall down around her hips as she scoots back to lean against the headboard with the pillow as a cushion behind her back, "There is deffinately at least one magical person that summoned this creature. They are behind an astral ward to hide and protect themselves also. It is likely I think that the conjuring circle that summoned this demon is what the link is attached to. Also.. I do not think the link will last much longer at all. What.. did you do with the head?"
Nixie unzipped the duffle bag she had with her to show off the head. "Wasn't sure if you needed it or not. I shoved the rest of the body down the hell hole, cage, pit, thing. Seemed like a decent place to put a demon corpse." She said with a nod. "So we go to this Merlin order with the info and we turn this head in for our job well done?" She stopped a moment and walked over sitting next to Nina. "Hah holy shit, we might've stumbled onto a horrible plot but, we finished the run. I didn't fuck up." She said for a moment looking rather proud of herself. "I was so worried it'd fall to shit with me in charge."
Nina hmms and considers, "Well, we solved the burglar issue, that should make the priest happy. We were unable to get his relics back though. I don't know that someone with enough money to live in a luxury apartment downtown would bring stollen merchandise there to store it so who knows where the stuff is at. Unless it's down below in those catacombs some place… or in any random warehouse somewhere in the city… I don't know. We can't really question the Demon cock-sucker either," she offers with a chuckle and then concentrates, mutters some of that strange magical language again and redoes her looks back to look like the subway restaurant lady again, sustainging the spell into her bracelet.

"You have no idea how sore I am right now because of that 'full stop' we pulled earlier in luring the demon." She said with a little groan leaning against Nina. "I really hope all my work in this town doesn't turn out so crazy.. I'm a Street Samurai, you hear me god?!" She said playfully shaking a fist.
Nina chuckles at Nixie's last fist shaking and grins before moving to get out from under the covers and find her clothing to get dressed again, "We should let Father Jacob know what we know now. But, I don't want to tell him about the Order of Merlin. They don't like letting people know about them. If they want to contact the Priest they can; but I don't want to overplay their hand if they want to keep behind the scenes and unknown in this."
Nixie stretched out a little. "Alright i saw him go into a room down the hall when we told him we could handle it. He's probably still in there pacing around instead of sleeping. I got the demon head so I'll lay it on him. Think I should leave out the bit about the hell porrtal for now?"

Nixie rubbed her chin a little. "Well I mean you're not even sure what it is.. So we can just say were uncertain but don't think its good. Sides its a ways from the church right? you said it was miles away in the mountains, the tunnel here just leads there?" She waited for Nina to answer before grabbing the duffel bag, walking out the door and down the hallway towards the Fathers room as she knocked on it. "Father, are you still awake?" A scuffling sound inside Father Jacobs chambers and then a grunt and then the door opens and he is in some black robes looking sleepy and groggy.
Nixie held up the bag offering him apologetic glance. "Sorry for waking you Father but I thought you'd want to know the results of our run before was go back to the shadows." She said stepping into the room as she unzipped the bag pulling free the demonic head. "Turns out we were wrong about the pimp thing.. Well not entirely but its more like a summoner not a pimp. The sister was a demon, a succubus and she was stealing from you for a unknown purpose. But we handled it obviously, there uhh maybe be some kind of evil nearby my mage associate was unable to tell but we are going to inform a organization specialized in matters like these to look into it and the possibility of a summoner and further demonic activity."
Father Jacob looks relieved, shocked, sickened, worried and determined all within a couple seconds, "I will have to inform the Cardinal and the council of this… it sounds like something far larger than a skilled burglar for sure. A demon?" He looks into the duffel a the head that has 'some' of Sister Ann Marie's factial featurs but the facial structure was/is not shifted into the human appearence yet and it is obviously not 'of this world'.
Father Jacob nods as if trying to encourage some courage within himself and then he walks over to a desk and opens it up and pulls out a folded up manilla envelope in the very distinct look of a typical huge wad of cash banded together and put in an envelope, "I hope this was enough to cover your expenses. I was authorized to give this if you solved the burglar problem. If you can return the stollen relics.. I can get you a considerable amount more."
Nixie took the envelope and nodded. "Thank you, the matter is more involved then we thought but your problems for now should be handled. We'll be looking into the demonic issue as you will no doubt as well. We'd appreciate it if you would contact us if your inquisition into the matter discovers anything that could help us after all as you've seen we have a talent for getting things done to our mutual and perhaps the entire cities benefit." She said with a nod of her head and prepare to leave and walk back to Nina if the Father didn't have anything else to say.
Father Jacob watches Nixie walk away, now his mind racing so much that he won't be able to sleep all night. He has to get on the phone and email and start informing his superiors of the situation. He closes his door.
Back in Sister Ann Marie's room, Nina is now fully dressed and fastening up the buckle on her belt of her pants.
Nixie showed off the envelope as she walked inside. "Pay day, and I think I even got the Father to think were the ones to go to if his religious buddies find out anything about the situation that your merlin buddies don't. I think were good to go, Sandwich Queen." She said with a little snicker.
Nina grins at the good news about the pay and the nice future work that Nixie may have set up for them, "How much did he give us? I think I want to leave back some as a donation. If I can work it right. Down the road I'd like to see if he will allow me to keep a backpack of supplies up in the belfry of one of the bell towers. I have several places all over the city where I keep secret stashes. If I have to escape some place or travel across borders I shapechange into a pigeon or a crow or something common and fly across the city to land some place, turn back into myself and then get clothes and supplies out of the stash. I'd like to gain his trust enough to allow him to do that here too maybe. Can you take five grand of my cut out so that I can give it to him as a.. good friendship gesture?"
Nixie shrugged at Ninas request and opened it up to count the cash that was inside a moment and divide it in half for them. "Sure thing I'll slip it under his door with a little love note from ya." She said with a smile.
