Sticky Cake Run

GM: Dream
Players: Julian, Slide, Thistledown.
Synopsis: In the dark future of the Shadowrun universe, there is no such thing as a simple mission. When three Shadowrunners descend on a closed down… 'bakery'… in the Warrens, is anything really going to go as easily as it seems?
Date: August 8th, 2069

Word has been sent out by the usual channels. A few people needed to take care of a discrete problem. The meeting point is a small warehouse in the middle of the Warrens, fairly dilapidated, and as the sun sets, lit only falteringly by a flickering streetlight.

Outside it, Dream is lingering vaguely. The young mexican girl is making remarkably little effort to hide her armor or her sidearm, likely due to the rough nature of the surroundings she was in. A stiff jacket and a Predator at her hip. She's also, oddly given the dark time of day, wearing a pair of mirror sunglasses. Tapping idly at a pocsec in the doorway of the warehouse. Dum de dum, totally not conspicuous here, honest.

Slide arrives down the block in a cab. He steps out and grabs his dufflebag then starts walking the last little distance to the meet. He is in disguise and wears a cowboy hat, beard, and cowboy boots, yes yes, he looks like Walker Texas Ranger. Who would recoginze a television star from 70 years ago anyhow, its a great disguise, honest!

Julian pulls up to the warehouse in the Warrens, hopping out and locking the doors behind him. He adjusts the fit of his armored jacket, flipping the collar. He walks into the warehouse, looking around for signs of life.

Thistledown fades into view slowly, appearing to lean against the wall. His form somewhat transparent as he pushes his astral form through to the physical realm. His features are non-descript, almost a blank of a human form. His clothing is a long robe under which any manner of attire could be worn unnoticed. "Good Day." He says to the young woman with the poc-sec. His voice is clear but faint as though from a distance.

Dream looks up, and smiles, nodding her head to Thistledown, "Hello." She replies, giving a little wave to Thistledown, before following

Julian in to the warehouse. Which is as dilapidated and run-down inside as the outside would suggest. Without so much as the customary table and chairs. She waits until the three are gathered, and then slides her pocsec into her pocket. "Well…" She says, straightening herself up a little bit. "I suppose I should explain. A friend of mine called Flash wants something that has found its way into the pockets of someone it really shouldn't have. A chip. She's a bit shy, though, so I'm doing the talking rather than her, I hope that isn't a problem for any of you."

Slide smiles and shakes his head "Not a problem little lady.", his voice sounds like John Wayne, so he confused his characters a little. "Just who has this chip at the moment then?"

Julian shrugs. "Nuyen is Nuyen… don't much care about the account number." He looks around the warehouse, studying it closely, listening to the conversation with the "J"

Thistledown shakes his head, "Confidentiality of the employer carries a small premium, but nothing I think you would have trouble affording."

Dream nods her head in return, "Good." She replies, and she can't help but crack a smile at Slide. … He just seemed funny, and rather like someone else she knows. "Ah, yes, of course. Well. I understand that it is currently being held overnight in a small Ares safehouse tucked away in the Warrens. As far as I know, they shouldn't be expecting anything. The main security element to the place being its secrecy, but…" She flashes a little smile, "Obviously, that has its drawbacks."

Julian grins a bit and strikes a ridiculous pose. "Look at me, I'm Sprouthead, I like to use big words and sound professional, meh meh meh meh meh." He turns and gives Thistle a wink, then turns back to Dream. "Don't let him sweet-talk you, he has a weakness for the ladies." He listens to Dream's breifing and nods. "You have an address?" the trog asks her.

Slide glances at the Troll with a curious look as he mocks Thistledown, then nods back to Dream "If you have that address thier secrecy ain't all that secret."

Thistledown chuckles, "Always to the point chops, and that's why you get to go in first…"

Thistledown gestures for Dream to continue.

Dream is a little taken aback, too, but… as the little joke doesn't seem to cause any bad feeling, she just smiles. "Yup." She replies, producing that pocsec again, "It's 58 Brown Street, looks like a closed down bakery- the Sticky Cake- on the outside."

Julian shakes his head, tsking. "Those devious fraggers, trying to draw us off track with cupcakes and doughnuts… I oughtta give them a peice of my mind." He finds a place to lean, continuing to watch. "I am /so/ gonna steal me some bearclaws. Just on principle, you understand."

Thistledown says "Aside from the secrecy you mentioned…and the apparently distraction caused by bearclaws…do you have any information on what other forces they may have on hand?"

Slide crosses his arms and remains quiet for now, listening to the J and the others talk.

Dream smirks, and nods her head slowly. "Well, we don't know the shifts, but they have nine guards on payroll, so I imagine that'd be the worst you have to contend with… and probably some simple locks and the like. I rather doubt all the guards will be there all the time, but it's best to assume they do, right?"

Thistledown nods, "Probably a wise assumption. So a chip retrieval from a safehouse with 9 guards. Do we have a way to find this chip if they've hidden it in a sugar bowl? And what's the pay look like?"

Julian nods as he listens. "I'll bring my tools… there isn't a lock in the Warren's I can't pick… cept for the one on your fiancee's chastity belt." He grins at Thistle and pushes off the wall, moving closer to the others. A hand dips into his pocket, withdrawing a foil-wrapped granola bar which he begins to unwrap.

Thistledown chuckles, "From what I hear of the attempts, the trouble was your key…too small."

Slide glances at the other two, who seem to know each other well. He then looks back to the J "Anything else we should know? Or do we just go in guns blazing and search through the rubble for this chip?"

Julian chuckles as he moves closer still, taking a bite of his granola bar, chewing and swallowing.

Dream smiles at that, "Well, that's the basic plan, yes." She says to Slide, "The chip is in a secure case, and should be easy enough to find. I don't believe they'll have had the time to crack it yet, so the chances of them having removed it are slim. It's bright silver, and about the size of a briefcase. Bring it back here, and I'll confirm it. If all goes well, you'll get twenty thousand in return. If you give me the bank details, I'll transfer half now in good faith, and the other half on delivery of the goods. Fair?"

Thistledown looks over at Slide, "Just keep in mind she said 'Ares' safehouse, it might take them a few minutes to respond in the Warrens but Ares is known to field some pretty big guns themselves. So from the point gun start blazing till we're clear let's keep things moving quickly. Miss, will you be accompanying us?"

Slide nods to Thistledown "Quick, fast, and in a hurry, got it partner." he tips his hat to Thistledown.

Julian shakes his head. "Credstick on delivery will be just fine…" He reaches up and rubs his chin. "Might as well bring some C12 in case we decide to level the place." He takes another bite and begins to chew. "I'm in," he says through a mouthful of granola and chocolate chip.

Thistledown nods, "I'm in as well, providing we don't let him carry the c12 and the detonators at the same time."

Dream shakes her head, "Quick and fast aren't really my specialities. I would likely only get in the way. I'll remain here." She smiles again, "Fantastic. My friend will be doing her best to try and isolate the security side of things, so hopefully she can confuse the issue if they -do- call for backup, but… well, I wouldn't like to say you don't need to worry about it and be wrong, eh?"

Julian shrugs and swallows, shaking his head. "Well that's just silly… what the frag good is c12 without the detonator? I mean, I guess I could shoot it, but a radio detonator works so much better." He takes another bite.

Slide shakes his head at Julian "Pardner, I get the feeling this fellow don't trust you none with them esplody type things. Besides, shooting some Ares men is one thing, blowin up thier house might just piss em off a whole lot and land us in a heap o' trouble."

Dream gives a little laugh, and nods. "He has a point. Though I suspect they won't be keeping it long after they realize we know where it is… corps tend to get angry if you do more than you strictly need to. And, well. If you can't get the case, I'm afraid I can only pay you half the money. We'd really rather have it in our possession."

Julian grins and shakes his head. "He knows I'm all talk… I'll bring the goods just in case, but generally speaking I prefer a subtle approach."

Thistledown chuckles, "No, I trust him. It's just that I don't handle explosions nearly as well as he does. I'll put an eye in the sky while we make our way there to see if we can get any information on the site before we arrive. I'll also see if I can sniff out any magical trouble we might bump into. How soon can you all be ready?"

Julian gestures vaguely towards the door as he finishes the granola bar, balling up the foil and shoving it into his pocket. "Everything I need is in the van."

Slide shrugs "I gots all I needs in my bag here, if someone else be kind enough to give me a lift, I'm set pardner."

Dream gives a little nod, "Well then!" She says, brightly. "I'll be right here. Good luck, though I'm sure you'll do fine."

Thistledown nods, "We'll meet up at (name's a deserted spot about a half-mile from the ex-bakery) to go over the details on entry, say 2 hours?"

Julian shakes his head. "Two hours? They might be /gone/ in two hours, I say we move now."

Thistledown shrugs, "Fair enough, as fast as you can get there then." (how far are we from there?)

«Plot» Dream says, "About a mile, though much of it is going to be twisty and narrow roads. Not far at all, really."

Slide looks to Julian "I saw you got yourself a fine vehicle, mind if I ride along with you then? I'm pretty sure you ain't wanting to be waiting on me to hoof it?"

Julian nods. "Sure, hop in. How about you, Sprout? You got wheels?"

Thistledown nods, "I do, I'll put my scouts out and see if they can give us at least a little recon before you start shooting."

Julian nods. "Suit yourself. Primary comm band xxx.xx" He gives a breif wave and goes out to get in the van. When SLide is aboard, he drives to a point a few blocks away from the facility and parks it, getting out and gathering his equipment.

Slide climbs in the van with Julian, then gets his comm out and sets it up, he then pulls a SPAS out of the duffle bag and starts checking its loadout, he looks to Julian "We want to do this soft or hard pardner? Gel might be a nice idea, since we really don't want to have Ares after our hides."

Thistledown fades out, settling back into himself where he was parked a few blocks away. He scuffs out the rudimentary ward surrounding his car, summons the spirits and sends them out, a few seconds later the drone takes flight with it's instructions preset.

Julian shrugs as he gathers his own gear. "I don't do gel…" he says simply, grabbing a pair of Assault rifle clips. "I do APDS and I do Anti-vehicle." He regards the clips for a bit, then tosses one back and grabs another. "Since I don't think we'll be up against any vehicles, I'll load two clips of Armor Peircing…" He grabs a shimmery cloak next, and begins to shrug it on.

Slide shrugs and packs his SPAS with regular rounds "Don't have none of that fancy APDS yet, been meaning to find me some of that though. I guess we gonna do some killin then."

It doesn't take long for the drones to ascertain that things really are pretty empty over there. The drone can't make out anything out of the ordinary on the outside of the 'bakery'. The Sticky Cake itself has its windows blacked out, and the sign which had once shown a delicious piece of cake ready for the eating is smashed and broken.

The Watcher spirit takes some time to go in and be /really really/ sure, but, with the simple instruction to check for any magical phenomena, it soon returns to the negative. No magical phenomena at all, and nobody visibly watching the outside, armed or otherwise. In fact, the whole area seems pretty quiet, except for one bum collapsed a few doors down and on the other side of the street to the Sticky Cake. And he is well and truly collapsed.

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Test, ohh, by the way fellas, you can call me Tex"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "Right Tex, I'll go by Sprout, and I'm calling him Chops whether he likes it or not."

Julian shrugs. "If you want to load Gel, you go right ahead… I'm not gonna tell you how to handle your biz." He settles the cloak on and tilts his head to regard a little black box on his shoulder. Nodding in satisfaction, he reaches out to grab a small satchel that he shrugs on.

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "It's my stage name"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "We're clean and clear on the
magical side, we've got a possible civilian witness on the street across from the target. I've got my wheels stashed one block north."
Slide chuckles at Julian "I don't mind killin none, gel is only good if everyones gonna be doing it, if we are making bodies, lets make bodies."

Thistledown takes a quick look around, the odds of a working traffic cam in the Warrens are a hundred to one, but he's had that kind of luck before.

Slide sighs "If I had a deck with wireless I could do some snooping here before we go in, they might have cameras on site. Damn things are frightfully expensive though."

It looks like an effort was made to stick a camera on the outside of the Bakery, covering the doorway. Unfortunately, this is the Warrens, and it seems someone has taken the invitation to steal the expensive camera, leaving the bare wires open to the air. It might be a sign of measures inside, though…

Julian approaches the facility under cover of ruth, all but invisible. His assault rifle is held ready, also ruthed. He moves, a deadly ghost, towards the bakery.

If the passed out bum was doing an act, it really is a very impressive and convincing one. There is absolutely no sign that the pair approaching the bakery have been spotted at all, though the sign sparks alarmingly, that is more due to the whims of the unreliable Warrens electrical grid rather than anything else.

Julian continues moving towards the building, looking for the main entrance. He ignores the bum, moving past him towards the building.

The building itself is just one in the block of many. Slightly taller than the neighboring pair. The doorway is set into the middle of two large glass windows which have been blacked out with paint, though the door itself- also glass- has been smashed, and a piece of cheap wood nailed over the gap instead. There is a small alleyway leading round to the back, but there is a trashcan blocking it, laid on its side, and the back has a fire exit- the windows, in the upper and back of the place, have likewise been blacked out.

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "We go in the front, or the back?"

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Why chose?"

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Cause I'm following you, I don't stand a chance if I walk into a room with half a dozen guards, I'm good with the shotgun, real good, but I'm not hardwired for speed."

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Fair enough, let's go in the front…"

Thistledown sends his watcher to scout the back quickly, is there another exit to the alleyway that Thistledown can't see from the front of the building?

«Plot» Dream says, "Nope"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "I've got the rear exit covered, if they try to scramble that way I can trip them up."
Julian approaches the front doorway, examining the peice of wood to determine how it is secured.

The wood has just been nailed into place, from the outside, with nails into the doorframe, where the glass would have been.

Thistledown sends his watcher with instructions to hover by the rear door, if it starts to open it is instructed to shout. "Here they come! Get ready to open fire!"

Slide follows along behind Julian, his gun at the ready, he keeps an eye out for anything that might surprise them.

Julian tries to guage the thickness of the wood, having nothing with which to pry it open, he goes for the comm.

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "I can kick it in, but that gives us away."

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "What, no flash bangs to lead off with? I'm disappointed."

The wood looks pretty cheap. Thin, and it would almost certainly not stand up to a solid kick.

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Thats a good idea pardner, I'll have to pick me up a few of them."

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Flashbangs are for Pros… do I look like a Pro? Standby, breaching in 5"

Thistledown sighs quietly off comm, "Oh well, looks like I'll be earning my pay at least…"

Julian takes up a position in front of the door, Assault rifle in hand. He leans back a bit, then prepares for the fun to begin…

The door practically explodes when Julian kicks it, having been made out of the lumber equivalent of paper mache and spit. To say that the guard inside is surprised would be an understatement of legendary proportions.

The bakery is, for the most part, dead. The place is littered with tables and chairs that have been overturned and broken, except for one at the counter. The countertop having once doubled as a till and a refrigeration unit for the cakes inside. At the back of the room, the fire exit is clearly visible, as are some stairs going up.

The guard, however, in his security jacket and armored vest, with his Predator at his hip, just looks stunned. A young man, a delicious looking cheesecake is on the top of the counter, with him having been mid-way through cutting it.

There are woodchips in the cake.

Julian rears back and delivers a hard kick to the wood, splintering it easily, and by the time his foot is back on the ground, his assault rifle is already moving. The red target cross in his eye spits the man cutting the cake, and with a smooth motion of his finger, Jules sends 3 sound-suppressed rounds into the bakery. Jules picks the muzzle up just a tad, hoping to clear the cake. The rounds slam home, sending the target sprawling back against the wall, then toppling forward, a bloody mess. He slams headfirst into the cheesecake as he collapses to the ground. Julian growls…

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Waste of good cake…"

Slide moves in quickly and quietly behind Julian, his weapon at the ready and scanning for targets.

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "I think that woke em up fellas, lets get ready for the hoedown."

Thistledown is sitting across the street, holding off till a target becomes available.

Julian moves into the room, glancing over at the fridges for a moment to try and guess the types of pie offered, the issues a command to Tex that includes dessert. He moves towards the stairs as a mental impulse activates the signal scanner in his arm, and he tries to lock into the guards comm frequency so he can listen in.

Slide begins to search the room then are in quickly, then searches the guard for anything intersting, if he finds nothing, he looks for the next room on the ground floor.

«Auto-Judge[]» Slide (#3162) rolls Intelligence for "Searching!":

The radios are really pretty standard, and soon Julian has cracked them, the general chatter implies a fairly green security group, headed up by one man who definitely -does- know what he's doing, directing 'Joe' 'Frank' and 'Al' to cover the stairs, whilst he and Pete secure the package.

Slide finds a credstick on poor Dave, who is definitely very dead. Aside from that and his sidearm, there isn't much more on him.

What -is- interesting, is that the bakery countertop is stocked full of delicious chilled food and drink. Including various baked goods, and sodas. A truly wonderful looking cherry pie is there, as well as a few boxes of doughnuts, and a twelve pack of beers. Unfortunately, it is locked.

Fortunately, in amongst the rubble on the floor, where his death-spasm had clearly knocked it, Slide spots a small key! Huzzah!

Slide grabs the key, then makes sure to grab the pie on the way out, then looks over to Julian

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "I got a key here pardner, whats the status on or hostiles? Shall we just start shotting through the floorboards and make them dance a bit?""
«Plot» Dream coughs, "The key was for the counter, Slide." :p

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "I've got 4 upstairs… lemme see if I can reason with them…"

Julian climbs the stairs one at a time, switching is comm over to the security frequency and broadcasting. The transducer reduces the words to an emotionless and monotone drone. "Lay done your weapons and give us the case. We will allow you to leave." He continues up the stairs, rifle pointed in front of him.

Slide looks at the counter, then the key, then tries it in the lock, he sighs as it clicks "Well, at least we get pie and beer." he reaches in and grabs a brew, lifts up the visor on his helmet, and takes a drink as he waits for further orders.

For a moment, there's some panicked voices, and then one- noticeably calmer than the others, snaps, and they shut up.

"So you killed Dave." He says, a definite firm and cold edge to the voice. "Excuse me if I'm loathe to believe you'll let us walk out of here so easily. Besides. You'll have to cut through four heavily armed guards, and me. What makes you think you'll get through the door alive?"

Slide drinks his beer quietly, then waits for orders, he kicks the dead man away and takes his chair.
Slide did pocket the credstick from the dead guy.

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "When can I shoot through the cieling boss? And, do you want a beer?"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "Tick-tock gents….Ares…."

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Good point, time's wasting pardners, they can stall us until reinforcements arrive, I say lets shoot em up from the floor"

Julian slips up the stairs, still communicating. "Becuase I have armor peircing rounds in my assualt rifle. I could just as easily shoot /through/ the door as open it. The fact that I carry Armor peircing rounds ought to be some proof of my level of professionalism. My contract is for the case, Dave was an immediate threat and had to be nuetralized… the rest of you are free to go if you cooperate." He gets to the top of the stairs and looks around for a door, keeping his body low to the ground.

At the top of the stairs, there is a small landing, and, as had likely been expected, a door. Julian makes a fine case for surrender… but instead, the reply comes from inside. "Fire."

And, because he's close to the ground, Julian is treated to several bullets punching through the door, and over his head.

Outside, the very-not-silenced gunshots are quite audible, and Thistle notices, out of the corner of his eye, the formerly-comatose-bum starting to rouse.

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Permission to shoot throught he floor boss, come on, I'm getting antsy here!"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown whisper quietly into the comm, "The civy suspect is up, will nix if needed."

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Tex, go to the stairwell, bottom step… Walk 5 big paces towards the northwall… Light 'em up."

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Roger boss"

Thistledown watches the civy carefully, if he runs like a drunk should (away from the gunfire) he lets him go. If he does anything else he gets the whammy.

Slide moves to the starwell, bottom step, then moves five big steps towards the northwall, he checks his weapon, points it at the cieling, and unleashes TWO bursts from it.

Julian communicates the general position of the room the men are in based on where he is, holding his rifle steady and waiting for Slide to get in position.

Julian ducks a bit lower as the bullets fly. "You're objection is noted…" he transmits over the men's channel, then brings his rifle up, tipping the barrel up, spitting the smartlink cross on the hole in the door created by the hail of gunfire. He flicks his finger and brushes the alternate trigger. With a great FWHUMP! a grenade shoots out of the underbarrel launcher and slams through the hole in the door. The smartlink carries a signal from brain to arm, then to gun, then to grenade link. The link calculates distance, checks the arc, then transmits a simple pulse. BOOM! The concussion grenade detonates in midair inside the room.

Thistledown looks up, "Subtle" he mouths silently, then goes back to watching the bum.

*BOOM*

Given the incredibly poor building materials that the building had been made out of, the reaction is dramatic, to say the least.

Four stunned guards, heads ringing from the explosion, find the floor dropping out underneath their feet. The holes that had been made from fire from below- something which, if they had thought about it- would have indicated that they'd been cut off even if they blew Julian's head off somehow- coupled with the aforementioned poor quality materials, never really designed to deal with an angry man jumping up and down on it, let alone a grenade, cause it to fall out underneath them.

Inside, however, there is a second doorway, a smaller office space which cushions the boss from the worst of the attack, and which meant that he is left staring out across the shattered room, a silver case on the desk behind him, the door to the office blown out… there's really only one thing he can do. After all. His men had been downed, and he really needed to ask the question: Was it worth /his/ skin to try and defend the case from these monsters who'd dealt with them so easily?

"Alright, you've made your point. I surrender."

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Stand Down"

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Defensive Posture"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown whispers, "Understood."

Commlink-Slide> Slide says, "Roger"

Slide steps back to cover the base of the stairs, watching up at Julian.

Julian straightens and comms to the enemy commander. "I am ordering my team to stand down… if your men do the same, this ends now." He communicates the order over his team comm, then moves towards the door, assualt rifle still ready. He passes through the door into the room. He speaks vocally now. "Stand up, exit the room, and leave. Take your men." He goes back to the comm.

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Let them go. Tex, get my pie…"

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "CONFIRM PACKAGE FIRST!"

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Package confirmed"

Slide moves over to the counter, opens it up, grabs a couple of beers and puts them in the pockets of his long coat. He then grabs the cherry pie and moves over towards the door. Holding his shotgun in one hand, and a pie in the other.

Thistledown keeps an eye on his hobo.

The first thing that is thrown out of the room is a pistol. The next is a pair of daggers. Then, the man himself comes out. A tall elf, well muscled, and wearing layers of armor, he brings the silver pack along with him, and does say, to whoever might be listening along his own frequencies. "Stand down." Before turning them off and making his way along what remains of the floor, to hand the troll the package.

The hobo looks pretty curious about the explosion, which was pretty audible, and is stumbling towards the bakery… pretty drunkenly, obviously not sobered up.

Thistledown sighs and drops a light whammy on the Hobo, "Definitely time to get more to drink, the bar a few blocks away, better run, this is going to take some serious drinking to handle."

Julian reaches out a hand to accept the case, his massive greenish hand appearing seemingly out of thin air to grip the case before it withdraws beneath the cover of the cloak again. "Take your weapons with you… Tactical withdraw is not defeat." The gruff voice fills the room.

The hobo stops in the middle of the street, and then hiccups. Wandering off back down the street in a woozy line. Mmm, alcohol.

Thistledown shakes his head, maintaining the suggestion spell for a few
more minutes before dropping it.

Thistledown starts to withdraw to his car, recalling his Watcher and signaling to his drone to return. He spends a moment erasing what little magical traces he's left.

Commlink-Thistledown> Thistledown says, "We clear?"

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "Stanby"

Slide remains downstairs, shotgun in one hand, cherry pie in the other, and his pockets bulging with beers….
The elf picks up his gun again. And, for a moment, he considers things carefully. Is it worth it… no, no it really isn't. Instead, he just nods. "We'll see if my superiors feel the same way. Now get out of here."

Commlink-VII> Julian says, "I have the package, fall back"

Julian steps back towards the door. He tries to think of something witty to say, but nothing comes, so he just turns and leaves.

Slide backs out of the bakery as Julian comes down the stairs, as

Julian exits the building he hollars "Ya'll take care now, ya hear!"

Thistledown hared off the moment her got the fall back command. Moving quickly to get the hell out of dodge. He sends his drone to the meet to pick up the credstick and makes his appearance astrally as before.

Julian returns to the Warehouse, slipping in and letting the sensors die on his ruth suit, revealing his cloaked figure to Dream, holidng out the case.

Slide follows Julian into the warehouse, having traded his helmet for his cowboy hat back in the van.

«Auto-Judge[]» Slide (#3162) takes off his "Ares HD-2 Helmet"<=Armor (#6020, Item 5).

«Auto-Judge[]» Julian (#2692) uses 3 of item 2: Assault Rifle APDS from Assault Rifle (#1732).

«Auto-Judge[]» Julian (#2692) uses 1 of item 4: Concussion Minigrenade from Assault Rifle (#1732).

Dream is in the warehouse, just as she promised she would be. She's tapping away at her pocsec when the group returns, but, soon looks up and smiles when Julian decloaks. She takes it, and connects the pocsec to a small, hidden jack in the case, the locks on it open, and she flips it open, to produce… a small chip. She seems satisfied with this, and tucks it away in her pocket.

"Thank you, gentlemen. I'm glad it all went smoothly."

From another pocket, she produces three credsticks. One is given to the drone, and one to Julian and Slide. "A pleasure doing business with you."

Slide tips his hat "It was a pleasure working for ya Ma'am."

Thistledown nods, "Certainly, if you ever need assistance feel free to put out a call.

«OOC» Dream says, "Thanks for the run guys! I hope you all had fun, even if it was a bit of a…"

«OOC» Dream pauses for emphasis.

«OOC» Dream says, "Cake walk."
