Posh is riding along in her van, considering a recent conversation she had with Indra about a convoy of muitions destined for disposal on the Old 76. That doesn't mean they're likely to be bad, of course - after all, perfectly good missiles and such go by the wayside while the UCAS and other militaries arm themselves with railguns and lasers. Of course the best stuff then goes to the second line units, pushing down the wayside to the oldies but goodies, the thirty year old stuff that previously replaced the Great Dragon, leading those to be dumped on third-world militaries, now slated for disposal or remanufacture.
So, from the van, she sends messages to Scurry, Krieg, and Olga, three talented runners she's been working with quite a bit lately.
«I was hoping to get you all together for a particular opportunity.» So she asks for pickup locations so she can stop and invite everyone for a mobile meet.
The information Posh got from Indra is heavily redacted <Indra did say it had to be scrubbed>, but it does provide the route, though final destination isn't stated, likely for reasons of security, or Indra's contact in the UCAS is plain unwilling to reveal it. But the easiest ambush point would be where the Interstate begins to get rough from lack of maintence, and requires a detour through an old rest area, with the abandoned and run down gas station, a forgotten resturaunt of antiquity, a once proud truck stop. Indra doesn't ride with Posh, she has her own transportation <Not to mention her own kit to bring, and the need for secrecy to speak with her UCAS friend>. Instead, she's waiting for Posh to decide where to ambush the convoy.
Posh receives back the usual message from Krieg«Krieg»<I will have to clean up my workspace and prepare, it will take me a few minutes to be ready for something. I can meet you at the normal location downstairs.>
Olga just follows along from the club as well she almost always has her gear on anyways, especialy now that a good part of it is internal.
Posh responds to Krieg «Outstanding. In fact, we'll meet everyone at the parking lot of the diner across the street from Pentabucks»
Posh invites Krieg and Senshi in after reaching the parking lot of the Woodlands, and then heads for a short jaunt to the named location. Each person needs only send a quick message to Posh to enter the unwashed dark green van that sits in the parking lot, inside which is Posh's spartan technical mission paradise.
If they instead send a different location, she will be by to pick them up shortly.
Once everyone is together, Posh presents the map that she had been working on, smiling over to Olga. "All right," she says. "Now, you've got that personal unit, right? Just clip it into one of these heavy-duty radios we've got here. This is going to be rather important," she says.
Posh shows the area where the road gets rough near the old gas station. "This is what we're going to have to do. Krieg, I'm going to ask you to operate the van personally. You will keep it hidden behind the gas station and use it for distraction, diversion, and jamming, both with heavy ECM and comms jamming," she says. "You'll primarily be operating vehicle ECM and communications jamming as needed. These guys won't be used to working without comms, so I think the effect of disorientation is going to really matter," she says. "If you feel secure driving the van defensively as needed, I would like you to position Senshi on top of the gas station, with me, here. There, I will set up a Great Dragon draped with a ruthi cloak, and a couple of reloads," she says. "That will be the primary standoff weapon."
She nods. "We are going to install smoke mines as we all have reasonable thermographic capability: I've got a pair for you, Scurry, so that you can more easily direct your spells," though Posh has no idea whether that will work or not. "Most importantly, though, what I'd like to ask you to do is pull that trick with the elementals: to have them dig out the road underneath where the convoy is traveling, to create an invisible tiger trap that will catch them and disrupt the formation," she says. "Ideally they will be traveling close enough. In any case, we are going to put HE mines along the side of the road to destroy any tires, as well," she says. "I've got all the equipment, as well as EXEX ammo for Olga and Senshi. Senshi will defend the Great Dragon launcher, and provide fire support with the LMG, while Scurry will be positions across the road behind shrubs and rocks to direct his elementals and offer support with spells," she says. "Indra," she says. "You'll be…you know what you are. Air support." She has Indra linked into the comms, after all.
Krieg peers at the map, thinks about the plan and nods slowly. "I should be capable of doing so, if the vehicle is properly set-up for it." She looks to Senshi and nods before looking back to Pos. "While this tactic may be effective, I am not aware of the geographic conditions..is it a paved or dirt surface.. do we know the types of vehicles, explosives will draw attention."
Posh nods to Krieg. "It is a heavy armored transport supported by an escort. FRT response is possible," she says. "But I think this is a shadow op. Off the books, which is why it's not just a regular convoy. So if we make it away quickly, they're more likely to bury the situation than to really come looking for us," she says. "Always steal from the corrupt, that's my motto. At least we'll be way out in the badlands, but…" She chuckles a bit. "Ideally we won't have to shoot the Great Dragon at all. We'll be able to stick to a quiet op and take them all down with silenced weapons. However, if we absolutely have to, we'll be able to shoot down a FRT chopper," she says. "We go loud as soon as they do, and match escalation with escalation. If it seems like we're being swarmed, you use the van to get us away and hide electronically," she says. "This only works if you consider the vehicle and consider its capabilities sufficient to these requirements: comms jamming, vehicle jamming as needed, and as a getaway vehicle."

Indra as air support? How cliche, what we need is a helocopter for air support. Though how much Posh can expect Indra to remain in the air is questionable, but she isn't on hand, she can only be contacted via comms. She's mostly curious to see how the use of elementals pan out!
Olga looks to Krieg and Posh and says "Well as long as I can see the driver I can mana bolt them through ther armor of thier vehical I think, and with the eyes you got me I can see for a long, long ways off.
"While the van does have considerable capabilities for a civilian model, it will mostly be personal capability vs superior hardware in many of these cases. I cannot guarantee we will be able to fully evade detection or not be entirely knocked from the airways by a superior transmiter." Krieg notes as she again tries to look the plan and map over. "There are few if any silent ways to disable vehicles. The elementals were able to provide excellent opportunities before. I have my doubts that HE charges will be capable of damaging transport grade tires to the extent we want. This will become a fight, regardless. As long as we are prepared for that, we will be fine."
Posh shakes her head at Olga. "Armored vehicles tend to just have screens on the inside and cameras on the outside. They often have panels that look like windows so they look less threatening, but you can't see through them," she says. "The great advantage of the sinkhole idea is that it is a /natural hazard./ The truck stops, and they may dismount before our ambush to see if they can try to winch out or whatever. It creates confusion. Ideally, they get out of the truck and set off the smoke and HE mines on foot," she says, with a grin. "Then we hit them hard, load the van, and get out." She nods at Krieg. "That is true. All right. The smoke grenades are not proper loud explosives, either, they just poof and make smoke, so they may not trigger immediate response the way mines would. All right, we'll delete the HE mines."
Scurry nods in turn to Posh, seated comfortably as he is. "Ready whenever you are," he murmurs. "I do not need to be close to the area to send elementals working. I have two Earth elementals that are ready to go."
Posh then reclarifies, smiling at you all. "And Olga. I need you to keep Scurry safe. You're a lot tougher than him in combat, especially with your new…upgrades," she says. "Don't be afraid to use that pistol either if you two get charged or something," she says. "Or to charge in yourself, cover to cover of course, and help out me and Senshi." She nods at Krieg. "I feel that it is an acceptable risk for the reward. No other vehicle I have access to comes close to the van's capabilities in those areas."
Posh grins. "All right. And I hope you don't mind…I'll organize the management and fencing of all this stuff, and pay you directly myself. I figure Scurry wants cash more than he wants missiles, although if he wants one to hang above his mantle, I will certainly arrange that," she says. "Is that all right with you all?"
"I must say I am still not well versed in the capabilities of 'magic'. I will have to seek proper documentation on the principles." Krieg states before going to sits beside Senshi again.
Senshi just nods to posh in response.
«Plot» Posh says, "Plan summary:
1: Krieg uses drones to scout the approach of the convoy. (Bee drones). She has the van hid behind the gas station. Posh has Great Dragon set up on the roof of the gas station, and Senshi is with her. Scurry is across the road, behind rocks and bushes, along with Olga.
2: As the enemy is detected, we wait for the last vehicle to pass before the convoy comes. THen, Scurry commands his elementals to dig underneath the road to create a covered tiger trap, leaving 6 inches of road and then about a 6 foot deep hollow underneath that.
3: The road will collapse when the first vehicle of the convoy goes into it, and likely the second will fall into it if it doesn't brake in time, and maybe even the third. They may bump into each other or the lip of the hole. At that point, they will be trapped in the hole with the earth elementals, who will be hiding /in/ the earth.
4: We wait for them to dismount and figure out what's going on.
5: When they do, we then activate the smoke mines and engage them with silent weapons until any sort of loud, dangerous response is discovered. At that point, we would then use the great dragon and heavy weapons and Indra's support as needed.
6: We load up the van after clearing the enemies, and depart."

"Scurry would like cash over missiles, yes," Scurry murmurs. "These elementals are not free."

«Plot» Krieg says, "I think I was offered money…not sure, that sounds fine to me."
Scurry will order his elementals under the ground to carve out tunnels, leaving a thin layer of land atop the strip that looks far more solid than it really is.
Posh nods, giving a shrug as Scurry declines her offer, and elects instead to get a share of missiles. "All right," she says. "Umm…let's see. I can come up with about thirty thousand right now," she says, paying him in advance. "All right, so I'll get your missiles," she says.

As Posh updates everyone on the plan, she grins, fussing around like a mother hen, helping everyone calibrate and sync their personal radios and comms. She finishes making the last tweaks on the plan, and prepares the smoke mines for remote detonation.
When arriving, she takes her cloak and drapes it over her Great Dragon, on the roof of the gas station, set up for quick movement in the right position.

Indra is visible to Scurry at least, taking cover in the buildings, to overlook the road way, every one else..good luck she supposes. Her own ink giving her invisibility, the same as Olga. She's got a heavy machine gun with her, hopefully relatively close to the ambush point. She signals she's there, and that the truck should be arriving soon. Well, if one counts on the UCAS intel!

Krieg does her own gear and gets to work checking on the vans capabilities as appliciable to the mission. She tests the Flux range and output, sensors, integrated systems, Optic line links up to it through her RCD and then gets to diminishing the Footprint of the Van.
Senshi will depart and get into a position with Posh, outside LOS. He's more than fast enough to respond from hiding, prioritizing finding cover between 20 and 45m away from the target site, wherever Posh seems to want to set-up.

Posh begins to bring up some generic rubble and trash onto the roof of the gas station, to create cover for the Great Dragon setup and for Senshi and herself, while they can still peek over and onto the road. She'd asked Senshi to place the smoke mines alongside the road, where she had directed Scurry to have the elementals ready to dig.
When Krieg detects the convoy with the bee drones, after any other vehicles have passed voer (passing civilians, etc), the elementals shall dig. Scurry is across the road from the gas station, with a view of the area if he peeks his head out from behind whatever rock he has chosen to hide behind with Olga.
Scurry does as Krieg instructs him, uploading the area over the tunnels.
Posh gratefully looks at her master unit as Scurry updates it. She identifies two routes for the earth elementals to dig shoulder to shoulder once the convoy is detected and the last other vehicle passes. "When I give you a signal, command them to dig."
And then, it's waiting time. Likely the van's sensors and Krieg's ability to add bee drone coverage will give them ample warning time for when it, or any other approaching traffic (that they will just let through) comes.
«Plot» Posh says, "Plan: There may be other vehicles, that pass by. That is why we do not dig until we see the oncoming convoy. The elementals are fast, they dig through earth as quickly as you or I can walk, if I am not mistaken."
«Plot» Posh says, "Since they leave a tunnel, they must vaporize or disappear the earth, or displace it around them, somehow, so creating this hole should work. So. Krieg has sensor coverage. When we see the convoy coming, we wait for any other traffic to cross over. Then dig when nothing is coming but the convoy."

Posh updates this text and information to the Battletac system, annotating the suggested map as necessary. She updates icons for her own position, on the roof of the gas station with the Great Dragon launcher, Senshi next to her, Krieg in the van, Scurry across the road,
The traffic out here isn't heavy <honestly, who wants to be out here?>. But the convoy is easily spotted, heavy armored vehicle..with an armored trailer behind it. Must be it, because that fits the bill for what you'd expect. Though it looks unmarked, nothing screaming UCAS government transport, if any thing, it looks private, or at most, affiliated with some second rate Corp that could afford any sort of set up like this. Fortunately there doesn't seem to be any turrets on it..though, looks can be deceiving!

Senshi readies his weapon systems and equipment and remains in cover awaiting the targets
Krieg just monitors the various network reports, information streams and of course…locks the Van doors.
Olga hides next to Scurry behind her big ass rock.
The truck is slowing down to traverse this part of the road way, due to them not wanting to pop tires on broken concrete/glass/rebar/debris from a truck stop. So far they don't seem to suspect much, at least not that any one can see. Until they plow into the thin concrete above the tunnel and the front end of the truck goes nose in, the sound of grinding metal likely being the trailer hitch starting to crack under the strain. Immediately the tires begin to dig in, trying to reverse out, but its awfully hard when half your tires are off the ground..
Posh crouches next to Senshi and the Ruthi Cloak-draped Great Dragon launcher. «Krieg, I've uploaded the frequency for the smoke mine activation to you»

Indra silent disengages the safety on her RPK as she waits, wanting to see exactly how the crew plays this out. First the trailer's rear doors open, about four armed guards getting out, two of them taking up positions in the cover of the trailer doors. The other two move towards the trailer hitch, to disengage it, before the hitch is snapped or the like. The truck is still trying to reverse intermittently as they take off the trailer. It's stuck pretty fast and Krieg can monitor their comms; largely they're debating what insurance company to call about this!

Krieg awaits any further direction to act. She does observe the area closely through the Air surveilance to look for what Posh has asked.

And so Posh moves to dismount from the roof of the gas station, and then sneak around the gas station to approach and engage. The Great Dragon didn't have to be fired, it seems, as the trap worked so well. A smile is on her face…very careful now…

The silent spell is quite effective when the two working on the trailer hitch slump over, their armor making a clatter against the vehicle and it's trailer. That is one way to drop people in a hurry, though judging from the reaction of the other two guards and quick hand signals, they are alerted to things not being -quite- right. That might also explain the whine of hydraulics as some thing begins to open from the truck. Drone support is about to pop out no doubt, which is generally not good for any one.
Posh nevertheless takes the opportunity, as the two come on out. «Looks like we've got a surprise here» Posh opens up with a quick pair of bursts ate the two remaining targets, suppressed, hoping that they are indeed quiet enough before she turns and fires the wrist-mounted grapple at the roof of the gas station, to reel herself back up as quickly as possible to the Great Dragon.
Posh tries to stay out of sight, so that she can approach the vehicle. The drone support is something nasty, she figures, as she hears the large thump, and it's quite a surprise. Fortunately she's ready, reaching in with her gyrojets as she realizes that there's a hell of a standoff about to happen here.

Posh had moved quickly, and now has her back to the side of the trailer, looking over to the truck for a glimpse of where the drone might come out. She reaches down and draws her pair of Gyrojets, as she does so. «Frak» she transduces. «Suppose it's drones. Focus on the two living assets. I'll take out the drones»

Indra's RPK Opens up, it's not a roar like one may expect, since she prefers her weapons to be utterly silenced like Posh, but when a half dozen rounds pelt into the Combat Drone as it rolls into sight, it's pretty obvious she's coming into play. A hail of shells pinging to the ground beside her weapon, though the other drone is hardly visible to her position, and doesn't seem interested in directly coming into play after it's twin was shredded. A smoldering pile of scrap, still attempt to move on it's own, sparking and spilling oil…
Without attacking, Posh makes a move to /dive/ into the open back of the truck, making a leaping turn as four of her gyrojet rockets lash out towards the other drone. That landing is probably going to hurt as she heaves herself regardless of what's in there into the truck. Hopefully they don't have a spike strip in there.

Posh pushes off her feet, her steps pita-pattering as she leaps towards that open side door, her gyrojet pistols lashing out towards the heavily armored drone, devastating it as the hypersonic rocket-propelled rounds dive into the armored vehicle, landing heavily and painfully on her shoulder and skids in.
Olga just uses her mad ninja skills to take up a position behind the two guards using the door for cover, and one where she can put the corner of the vehical between her and them if she needs to do so.

The pancor jackhammer utterly devastates Posh, who had no idea that the rigger with a shotgun was going to be in there. Oh that's right. That's why the call it riding shotgun. She is down, hard, with a deadly, deadly wound, bleeding out. There's no more response from her over the battletac link.
Senshi quickly maneuvers as the other guard is taken out from behind, he bolts across the landscape at inhuman speed and propels himself up and over the blockign terrain, leaping through the air to smash an armored fist into the previous behind cover guard. The sparking glow of discharging electricity triggering instantly as he does.
Posh's dive to cover move was -really- a poor decision for her, since she didn't even know what she dove into, but things are going much better on the other end of the team spectrum. The dull thumping of pistols putting down one guard down, bleeding from a heavy chest wound. Another guard finds a heavy robotic fist smashing into his face, with an arc of electricity to finish that one off..but the roar of some thing that rivals a heavy automatic like Indra has..unsuppressed. Suffice to say, the side door of the truck is heavily covered.

Posh's unmoving leg dangles from the open door of the van, as she bleeds. She's not doing well in there…at all. Perhaps it was a reckless and risky move - the kind that has brought her to victory before…but this time, her luck ran out. She's likely got less than a minute before she'd bleed out, given the wound pumping blood from her neck and jaw, another through her lung, and another having torn out a chunk of her thigh.

Posh bleeds very heavily as Indrakshi pulls her out of the van. She's in a very bad way, and indeed, if anyone had decided to take another potshot at her…it indeed could be said that removing her from threat quickly, indeed saved her life.

Senshi notes the rapid departure from the vehicle of Posh…flying… Directly after a thudnerous exchange of fire within. The drone quickly sets a targeting marker and aims the arm mounted internal MGL. Discharging a single grenade through the air and into the vehicles interior. It boucnes off the inside farwall and lands squarely within before the pre-set detonation feed triggers. What occurs is not visible to those outside but a concusive wave of shrapnel, flame and red mist jettisons out from the various open accesses of the vehicle.
Indra will settle Posh down near her team mates and drop her invisibility as she moves towards the trailer, she clearly has her own mission to take care of. Given how she cuts off the team comms as she draws her wings in close behind her <under her hooded coat>. She also has a heavy looking box with her, and unless some one follows her, it's not likely any one will find out what -she- came here for. <She had to set a thermal gel to a very specific item, which is now smoldering away>. Now people can do their heroic saving things, yes?
Posh bleeds. A /lot./
Having seen the Flying bleeding Posh drop the the ground and Indra appear Senshi moves faster than likely ever seen before, he swiftly navigates over the debries and Scoops the broken body up as he bolts towards the Van.
The vehicle itself is already in motion and stops abruptly with the side door opening and Krieg hopping out with a large Medical kit already in hand..
Olga walks over and goes visible as she cups her hands to her ears as she says very loudly a string of four letter profanities and in a few languages that start with Jesus and end in fucking hell as she puts her hands to her ears to check for blood. " She is still speaking loudly as she shakes her head "NEW RULE WE DON'T SET GERNADES OFF NEAR MY &*^$ing HEAD ANYNORE!" She then works her jaw trying to get her sense of hearing back.
Scurry works with the practical methodology of someone trained to do this. If the sight of Posh in this condition is shocking— or if limbs hanging on by mere strips of flesh is— he reacts not at all. Posh usually has stuff in her purse— her bag— and Scurry takes a moment to sift through it for the Biotech Savior kit.

Scurry's expert care manages to stabilize Posh. Her breathing deepends, the nanites beginning to stabilize her. She can be loaded into the van along with a few boxes of munitions.
As Scurry's powerful spell starts to work its magic on her, Posh's eyes suddenly snap open, and she gasps. She looks up at Scurry…a smile slowly spreading on her face. "Sorry. Hope you weren't too concerned…" she says. It's only been seconds. "We need to get out of here fast," she says, beginning ot move painfully, but not too badly.

Scurry gives Posh a simple thumbs-up before standing and offering his hand.
Posh gratefully looks around to the others, she seems almost dazed - mental processing of her near death will have to be later. For now, though…it's about getting the hell out before that FRT can come and get a sensor lock on the van.
Olga looks to Posh as she speaks and says "WHAT? WHATS DO BELLS HAVE TO DO WITH IT?" Well atleast she can hear something again!
