Shadow Wars! Part II

The RV starts to backup along the path where the mines are not of course, he works his way the last 200 meters to the gate.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "They cant see the lynx guns unless you want me to roll it out"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Tell him it's an invisbile Lynx then make it make the Click-Clack ammo loading sound, frak do I have to think of everything…now go find the other girl."

Commlink-Baron> Baron chuckles "Fine fine, I'll improvise."

The Drone is still in the room with the ganger "Where is the other girl?"

Commlink-114.243> Effek struts out the building with the girl on his back, he makes his way too the Bison. "Open up!" Setting her inside as Baron opens the doors.

"Other girl?", the ganger grumbles, "I don't know what you are talking about."

The door to the bison opens, as well as the ramp in the back.

+ Ganger Lying?

The Lynx tracks the wall, judging where the drone is, and aiming at 3 meters high in that same room, unloading a 10 round blast into the wall.

Nightshade sighs as the boys cause a ruckus, "Really now…like children…they're going to cost me a fortune."

The Drone in the room lowers itself closer to the ground as the sounds of bullets echo in the building "I can tell where you are, I can shoot you through the walls. Tell me where the other girl is now."

Nightshade casts a Magic Fingers spell and starts long distance looting.

The ganger cries out as the rounds slam into the building, "I can't! Mad Matt won't just kill me. He will make me suffer first. A lot slower than that drone will."

The drone replies "Simple, tell me where mad matt is too, and I'll kill him as well. That way you live."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Where is this fragger. Lets see who he is more scared of more. Mad Matt or a huge invisible troll!"

The ganger finally cries out in frustration and bolts out of the room.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Effek, catch the running ganger."

+ Nightshade Casts!

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "On IT!"

Effek bolts back twoards the ganger, doing his too catch him.

Baron yells out in the RV "Sit still, dont squrim, and your going to get away, keep moving, and I use a taser on you."

Nightshade grumps as the door closes she starts piling weapons on top of the RV instead. Trying to find spots where they wont slide off easily.

Effek reenters the building just in time to see the ganger run out of the bedroom, he streaks across the second room and begins pushing on a couch as if trying to move it.

+ Baron getting jumped.  Effek jumping.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Screw it, we go room by room, keep checking doors until we find something."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Got the fragger!…"

The ganger manages to push the couch aside before Effek can reach him, uncovering what appears to be a heavy trap door in the floor.

+ Baron resists dumpshock

A flash of pain greets Baron as he feels his jack rudely jerked from it's home in his tender flesh. Through the haze of pain and disorientation of being forcibly removed from his network, Baron notices the girl moving with silent predatory grace as she drops the cables from her left hand. The hood is lying on the floor, apparently released with a catch trigger along with the now clearly fake wrist restraints. The woman is obviously the physad Alexis, dressed smartly in Holly's clothing. Her hand flickers as she draws a long silvered blade from her clothing. "So, you are the rigger causing all these problems", she purrs menacingly.

Baron grunts, opening his comm as he speaks "Well damn, I new we had to find all the girls, you just gave me a major headache." He talks to the girl while letting the comm send all this out to the others

Effek listens "What?" he says quitly as he catches on.

Nightshade sighs looking over at the shimmer of the RV, she clicks on the comm channel, boosting her mic volume so it's a shout and sends a message across the channel, hoping Baron has his headphones open, "Alright shorts, it's time to go commando, take that girl out and show her why what's in that chubby chipmunk's pants are to be feared."

+ Initiative!

Alexis attempts to stab the fat rigger with her knife.

+ Alexis Stabs!

Baron moves quickly, rolling out of bed and onto the floor, where his cable lays, luckily, the fairly fast fat man only catches a large slice to his armored jacket, thank god for being paranoid.

A pair of tighty whitey's leaps from behind the young woman, attempting to obscure her vision, this is of course best accomplished by pulling itself down over her head.

Nightshade whimpers, "Baron, I hate you…"

+ Nightshade Casts!

Nightshade gathers up a burst of magical force, leaning out away from the tree trunk so she can better see inside the RV and hurls a bolt of magical force at her, the bitch shrugs it off, but Nightshade feels better that at least she can say she honestly tried to save the chunky chipmunk, that should help when divying up his things.

+ Effek punches

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Trap door here!"

Effek dashes just as the runner reveals a traped door, moving the couch out the way just as the ganger is puched in the jaw by the massive trog fist. If the powerfull punch was not enough it was quickly follwed by the shock of the gloves. The ganger hits the side of the wall as he slides down, not down yet but is probably oblivious to what is going on!

The ganger reels as he gets the double whammy, slamming into the wall. He crawls over to the trap door and grabs the lid and throws it open, apparently hoping to call for help or escape into the 'dungeon' below. There is a familiar pop and metallic 'ting' sound as the door is opened. The ganger frowns in confusion. He's apparently never heard that before when he has gone downstairs.

+ Baron Attacks

Baron reaches into his jacket as he lays on the floor, pulling out a predator pistol quickly, he takes a moment to do a deep breath, then pulls the
trigger, of course, his aim is not that great, and the bullet simply hits armored jacket and gets caught in the fabric.

Alexis grunts as the heavy pistol round slams into her armored jacket, taking an involuntary step backward as she tries to ineffectively rip the stained undershorts off of her head. "Goddamit!", she growls angrily.

+ Effek Explodes

Effek notes the snapping of the wire and the clinking sound as he echo's falling down the shaft. With a wucik movement he dives back away from the blast, with what little it will help.

The ganger that was tussling with Effek realizes, way too late, exactly what that ominous click noise was. His eyes widen in horror a moment before the Claymore goes off.

Effek dives hitting the ground just as the explosion goes off. The pressure inside the roop tears through the walls as flams soon cover Effek briefly
and then barring him under the debree of rocks.

Various ganger limbs, scarlet mist, entrails, brain and bone matter are splattered upward against the ceiling and forming a beautiful almost artistic
design that slowly drips downward.

Effek manages to leap away from the blast, but not far enough apparently as the rolling wave of shrapnel-laden blast catches him as well.

New initiative pass. Alexis @ 7, HearthSpirit @ 5, Nightshade @ 1

+ Lexy fights the Underwear.

Alexis seems to forcefully steel herself to avoid ensuing panic, then places both of her hands on the underwear and channels her force of Will in a
direct attack on the spirit. It seems to get the desired effect as the spirit is sorely wounded, emitting a gassy scream via the chocolate stain in the rear.

+ Nightshade Casts

Nightshade throws another manabolt but between the wounds and the previous effort it fizzles long before it reaches the target. She curses and winces as another explosion sounds from the compound, since Effek wasn't carrying explosives, that can't be good news. Ah well, at least Baron's tighty whiteys are holding up their end of the deal

+ New Initiative

Rock does something out of sight.

+ Lexy is Debriefed.

The duty-full pair of panties continue to cling to the young woman's face, perhaps a bit thrown off their game by the lack of experience dealing with this level of aggression from a female.

Effek arises from the rubble slowly but he does. Pushing rocks out of the way as he coughs out dust, "Frag!" He grons rolling over and finding his
ingrams.

Alexis continues to reel about almost drunkenly as she attempts to get the goddamn underwear off of her head. For now the rigger is Briefly forgotten as she deals with more important issues.

Sabre does something out of sight.

Baron reaches for his deck, grabbing it and yanking the door to the bathroom open, he jerks inside, pulling the datacable with him and locking the door, then he jacks back in. Damn, this is going to make a mess all over his pretty RV, lady guts everwhere.

+ Effek Perception & Nightshade Casts.

Nightshade tries again, pulling the last ergs of mana from her pathetically depleted resources and lobbing it at the woman dancing around in Baron's panties. The girls innate resistance however deflects the attempt.

New Pass: Rock @ 13, Alexis @ 12, Sabre @ 12, Baron @ 1

Effek slowly stands up as the dust falls of of him, he coughs and looks around.

Effek: The trap door in the floor has been blown off it's hinges, revealing a gaping hole in the floor and the twisted metal top of what appears to be a ladder leading downwards. Blood and brain matter is slowly dripdripping off the ceiling and forming a pool on the floor in front of you."

Rock does something out of sight.

+ Lexy is Debriefed take II.

Barons bloomers have known terror, they were there at the chili fest of 68, and the Tex-Mex celebration of 69, their elastic has rebounded from lengths no other rubber on Baron's body has ever contemplated, but this, this relentless batter has them beaten, torn and tattered.

Frayed to threads, the loyal lingerie shred to bits, falling away in a scatter of poly cotton blend, never again to grace the rolls and crevices of Baron's posterior. Some might think they go on to a better place, most who have seen Barron bent over reaching for a snack are sure of it.

Alexis growls menacingly as she tosses the elastic remains to the floor, then turns to look for the damn rigger.

Sabre does something out of sight.

But the spirit is not beaten, simply driven from this realm for a time, for you see, this underwear, was purchased as a three-pack.

The steel lynx drone's turrent turns around to point at the girl, moving forward enough to block the door to the bathroom. "Time to leave bitch." comes the muffeled voice out of the john.

New Pass: Rock @ 3, Lexy @ 2, Sabre @ 2

Rock does something @ 3

Lexy seems to abruptly give up on this angle of approach since the initial surprise is over. Curse those damn panties. She turns and bolts outside as she heads back toward the HQ building.

+ Baron tries to shoot Lexy in the back.

Baron sits on his throne, a bit vengeful for the attack on his person, he tracks the fleeing lexy with his turrent, and as soon as she is out of the RV he opens fire with a full auto spread of bullets……unfortunately, he is still a bit disoriented, and ends up missing.

Inside the building, what sounds like a door bell goes off. A double chime sound. Effek and the drone hear this. The sound repeats again almost a dozen times in rapid succession.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Looks like the are returning, I'll hold them off."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Ef, you have girl yet?"

Commlink-114.243> Effek groans.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "He is hurt, looks like he is bleeding a bit"

The Steel Lynx rolls out of the back of the RV, then the RV locks itself up completly now. The Drone turns around, and moves towards the front of the RV, avoiding those nasty mines. The drone then takes up position watching the road for the next 800 meters.

+ Nightshade casts and summons.

Nightshade fires off another bolt of energy but cannot seem to get it together. Watching as Alexis makes it to cover she curses, then begins quickly summoning another sky spirit, "Sorry friends, but this is going to be messy."

The little drone with Effek moves over, and lowers itself into the hole, to see whats down the ladder

Effek makes his way to a wall too support himself gathering his composure. He wiggles around the bolt too his inagrams alittle then too lossen any dirt inside them. He groans alttiel bit more reaching up but not touching the shrapnel that now coveres his back. He turns spoting the now smeltering hole as he walks over peering down.

Down down down. The ladder goes down about 5 meters before entering a 10 x 10 room. On the east and west sides of the room are twin 5x5 cells with barred doors. Inside the cells are 4 female prisoners, most of whom are weeping and lamenting their fate."

Nightshade goes a bit wide eyed as the strain pushes her a little farther into the fuzzy end of things, but the wind spirit appears before her, "Quickly, go, there are bikers on the road, confuses and befuddle them, cause them to miss their turns, there are small devices in the road, when hit they will explode, guide them into those mines, or trigger them so they explode beside them, have care little friend, but go."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Effek, the girls are downstairs, but be careful."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Baron send you drone down that hole. Look for any more god damn explosions!"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "I just did that!"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Watch for Alexis, I think she overshot your building but better wary than a knife in the back."

+ Baron Perception.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "I dont see nothing, get down here Effek"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "One sec. I dont want that girl giving us any more trouble. Are the girls locked up?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Get down here, then if she tries to come down, shoot her in the ass!"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Where's the guy that was setting all the traps?"

Commlink-114.243> Effek makes his way to the hole "I dont know that is what worries me."

Baron turns his little drone around, scanning the room again for any signs of where the rock went.

There is a steel door set into the north wall.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "There is another door down here"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "He has to be behind that"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Dont go near it. Very fucking very good chance it will blow up as well."

Effek leaps down the hole following the drone.

+ Effek jumps.

Nightshade puts her hand to her head, "Trickster take it, I would kill for a stimpatch right now." she mutters. She takes a few deep breaths, "Too risky to walk with all those mines, but I've got to move." She grumbles to herself, "C'mon, just like pushing water uphill with a rake, nice and easy." She concentrates taking her time, and casts levitate on herself as Effek and Baron work to free the girls.

The girls in the cells begin wailing in fear as the massive bloody troll arrives on the scene.

+ Nightshade casts.

Nightshade starts drifting through the treetops to the road, making her way slowly to where she hopes she will be able to quickly swoop down to join Baron in the RV, if not at least she'll have a view of the bikes approaching.

The little bee drone speaks to the girls "Do not fear, we are here to rescue you all, we need your names first though."

The girls rush forward, clutching the bars of their cells with their grubby hands, all of them offering their names at the same time. "Tiffany, Becky, Donna. Larry."

Larry has a bit of a visible mustache under 'her' concealer.

The Drone speaks out again "Where is the other girl, Holly. Tell us please."

"They took her that way", the girls all point toward the steel door, "Now please get us out of here! Before Mad Matt gets back!"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Effek, you got AV ammo or APDS at all?"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "I do not."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "What are you carrying as a weapon?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Blast the door, go full auto with it, tell the girls to back off into thier cells"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "These two Assault Rifles and my two Inagrams. I dont think these two Assault Rifles have APDS or AV rounds though."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Just tell the girls to back up, and shoot the door down"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Roger"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Miss magic, can you get inside and help Effek, he is wounded"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Help perhaps, but not heal."

Effek steps back yelling "Step back and get down!!" yelling twoards the girls.

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Help is still help, and better then none."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Watch out for knife girl when you get in there."

Nightshade redirects, moving towards the main building, keeping a sharp eye scanning for anyone still able to move about.

The girls look at each other uncertainly, then back away from the bars and cower at the back of their cells.

The Bee drone moves over to a far corner on the same wall as the door, knowing the blast will be focused on the doorway

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Effek where are you and where is the target?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "He is down in a subbasement, there should be a room with a hatch, it was under a couch. The target is behind another boobytrapped door."

Nightshade looks at the building layout from above. Then Comms, "What way does the door face, cause knife girl headed into the main building. Does it look like they could have a tunnel connecting?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Its possible they are connected. We can sweep all the buildings if we have too, but we have found the girls in the one Effek is in"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Alright, chasing knife girl then."

The Drone watches Effek, then speaks "Ladies, do not run outside, the grounds are not clear yet, they also have mines, if you run away, you will end up dead. Wait for us here after we open the doors."

Nightshade swings low over the scene of carnage as she crosses the compound looking about at the scattered bodies briefly to see if any of them happen to have been sporting an assault rifle. If any of the "bodies" look as though they might be waking up ever again Nightshade puts a few inches of steel through their throats to make sure they don't.

Bikes start appearing over the crest of the distant hill, driving very slowly and carefully. One of the motorcycle bitches riding on the back of one of the bikes is scoping out the camp via a set of binoculars.

The drone now has targets, the Steel Lynx turns and starts taking aim at the distant bikers.

+ Effek shoots & Mystery.

Effek lifts both guns in his hands, pulling the triggers down as he sprays automatic gunfire at the locks. Every shot hits but prove weak as they ricochet off.

Miraculously Effek manages to miss the cowering girls with his wild sprays of automatic gunfire, but it does further terrify them and prove to their minds that the Troll is a fucking loon. When the doors pop open with broken locks they flood out and start climbing the ladders to escape.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Damn it, stop them Effek, the guys upstairs will kill them"

Effek dashes over grabbing the gilr as she starts to climb, simply stepping infront of the ladder "God dammit, you go up there and they will just kill you. You stay the hell down here till it is safe!"

The girls are already pretty intimidated by Effek and scream one more time as she runs over and blocks their escape, then they turn like a flock of birds and cower at the farthest point away from the troll that they can.

+ Gangers Dodge!.

As the drone now in front of the invisible RV tracks its targets, it lets forth a stream of lead, turning ever so slightly at this range to cause the lead to spray across the road. The bike riders notice the oncoming death, and quickly abandoned thier vehicles to jump into the ditch. The bullets flying through the air they just reciently occupied.

In fact, the gangers seem to universally abandon their bikes, the full number taking cover.

Nightshade swings a little low and picks up two assault rifles, and matching clips, she spends a moment checking the gun over before moving towards the doorway that Alexis stepped into, she drops to the ground, releasing the magic of her levitate spell then taking a deep breath. She slings one around across her back takes the other in her off hand (her right, and draws her katana with her left.) She switches the gun to full-auto as she hears Effek's commands coming through the comm and echoing faintly from the entranceway. She pauses for a moment, then moves into a sheltered spot watching the doorway until what's going on downstairs sorts itself out. She hmms then calls out, "Hoi, Alexis…any chance you want to just let my friend down there walk out with Holly? You let us walk, we stop killing people. You go kidnap someone else for ransom, everybody is happy. I imagine you'll be able to ice the moron downstairs, but that just makes my life more profitable, and unfortunately if you ice holly they'll just flatten this whole facility since it's better to erase a mistake than explain one. You know what I mean?"

There is an audible pause of several beats before the silence is blasted into pieces by Baron's drone opening up on the gangers one more time. Finally a feminine voice calls out from somewhere inside the building, with only a trace of confusion in the tone. "Nice try…but I doubt the little princess is still in there.", she pauses and adds, "And we aren't trying to hurt her. We are protecting her from you and your team."

Nightshade chuckles, "Good news then, I'm not getting paid to hurt her, I'm getting paid to deliver her unharmed elsewhere. So, you can go ahead and hand her over to the largish fellow who's working his way through all he explosives you own and we'll be on our way. As a bonus I'm also not being paid to harm you or yours."

Commlink-114.243> Effek grumbles wispering in the Comm "One more bomb and I will be dead chummer!"

"No, that is still bad news. /WE/ were hired to keep her safe and turn her over to her handlers in three days. If we turn her over to you, then we traveled 900 miles only to fail and not get paid.", Alexis pauses before adding, "That shit don't happen Omae. We don't fail. Tell your team to pull out and we will convince the Screamers to let you go."

Nightshade sighs, "You should take that up with your Johnson, I suggest doing it via bullets, cause it sounds to me like you got double crossed…if you want to live to have that argument, I do suggest handing over the girl."

A short laugh issues from the depths of the building. "Maybe your team was the one double-crossed. Like I said, bug out and I will convince Mad Matt to let you go."

The steel lynx continues chattering away, it's LMG throwing out streams of suppressive fire as the gangers remain pinned down in the ditch. It's obvious the spirit has begun confusing them by now as one will occasionally stand up and then be dragged down to the ground by his stronger willed compatriots.

Nightshade calls out once more, "I'm going to start shooting at you now, if you want to change your mind you have until the gun starts making the bang-bang sounds. Good luck dealing with your Johnson if you survive, if you're wounded don't fall where I'll find you, or I'll kill you."

Effek remains standing gaurd at the ladder, going back and forth from looking up too see if somebody is sneaking up on him to going back to watching the girls.

The girls are all cowering away from Effek, not wanting to be the first to attract his attention.

And no one appears to be coming down the ladder.

"Ditto honey.", Lexy replies and then goes silent.

Effek looks at the girls "YOu know fi I wanted to kill I would do it. And If I wanted to keep you hostage I wouldnt of let you out of the cage." He looks up still talking "But I cannot let you go up till all of the gangers are killed or my team has assured me it is safe!" He cringes alittle as his shrapnel wound stings again.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "I need a positive ID on Holly's location, now. Alexis claims they're working together so this may be an unwilling extraction. Effek send the wisp with you to find her, now."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Damn it all"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "I cannot leave these girls, they will run up."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "They are not our problem."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Send the wisp wherever you think Holly is and get positive ID."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "True enough, Effek, let the girls go"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "OK?"

Nightshade lets the time tick by keeping a sharp eye on the building, and watching her back, it's unlikely she'll get enough time to catch a second wind but she doesn't mind letting Lexy sweat it out a bit.

Baron sits in his bathroom, locked inside, the whole RV shut, and he watches the various camera feeds he gets, the Lynx, the Bee, both concern him as he tries to think of a way to get inside the next room without getting effek blown up.

The girls look at each other, then look at the Troll. One of the girls finally speaks up, "I…I played Little Orphan Annie in third grade."

There is a sudden gun shot from beyond the steel door.

Effek sighs as he steps aside "Sometimes you just simply fail. GO get the fuck out of here and dont get shot. If I see on a corner next week, I will eat you alive!"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "We got a gunshot inside, I'm going to hope its one of the bad guys"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "I am letting our target go…maybe."

A couple of the girls bolt and start climbing the ladder, two remain where they were…apparently feeling that its probably safer to stay down here with the rabid troll.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "What? Visual ID, you know what she looks like, remember the picture?"

There is no further commentary from inside the building as Lexy goes quiet. The drone continues chattering merrily away, eating up ammo from it's storage bin as it keeps the gangers pinned down.

Baron gives some new commands to his Lynx, only shoot if they get closer in range.

A few minutes pass topside, the drone slows down it's continual fire…only stuttering off a round or ten when the gangers try to press in to gain an advantage.

Two dirt covered half-naked girls run out of the building, looking desperately about themselves as they attempt to escape.

The spirit that has been merrily confusing the pinned down gangers abruptly comes under attack.

Effek looks at the wisp "Hey go through the door and then come back and tell me all what you see."

The wisp darts off through the steel door.

+ Mad Matt casts.

Effek examines the rifles checking the ammo.

In the distance, Mad Matt growls under his breath as he lays pinned down in his own ditch. His centering skill being, of course, inarticulate growling. He gestures toward the darting Wind Spirit and sends a manabolt darting across the intervening space, then blinks in astonishment as the little pest somehow manages to resist HIS manabolt.

The wisp suddenly returns, yacking merrily. "There is a loooong tunnel. Three people walking down the tunnel. A male human, a troll and a human female."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Ok your wisp tells me that through this door infront of me is a loong tunnel. A male human, a troll and a human female.!"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Alright, find a rope or something to open the door, and get well clear of the blast area"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Use your shirt if you have to"

Effek looks at the wisps. "Look at the this door right here…" Effek Aproaches the door and points "Look alround it, anything that looks like a bomb or not part of the door please tell me!" Effek kinda wonders if this is possible for the wisp to know such a thing yet alone do it but it is well worth a try.

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Roger, first I got the wisp to look see if it can tell if there is a bomb or no!"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Trix take it…Baron, can you give me an idea where that tunnel heads, triangulate off your drone, or whatever, I'll send another wisp down to try and find the end of it and get there before they do."

Nightshade calls back one of the wisps that have been searching and send it down the tunnel to report back on the tunnel exit location. She then flips her comm on again.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Roger"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "And Baron, see if any of those gangers want to live through this, they might be willing to negoitiate now that we've got what would appear to be the upper hand."

Baron uses his bee drone down in the room to judge direction of the tunnel, and which way it might be headed too

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "It leads north, nothing north but pasture"

Baron sends a second bee drone out of the RV, and towards the pinned down gangers, hopefully they will let it talk before shooting it.

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "I sure it has a end though, inless they are just going off of sheer luck hoping it does?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "It probably comes out somewhere in the field"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "They may have vehicles out there to escape with."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "yah is there a stream or something? A samll streem?"

The wisp with Effek passes through the door, spends about thirty seconds and then returns. "It looks like a door", the wisp reports to the troll.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Lovely, moving towards it, Effek get through that door, be careful…hell have one of the girls try to open it."

Effek facepalms "Alright umm..?" He looks around for something a wire of some sort.

Effek creeps over to the door, first checking the handle to see if it is locked or not.

The gangers don't seem to notice the tiny bumble-bee drone as it approaches, their attention seeming to be on the Machine Gun packing Lynx for the most part.

The bee drone with the gangers speaks through a tiny intercom "I come to negotiate, who is your leader."

The handle moves but the door doesn't. One of the girls pipes up, "They use a metal bar on the other side to bar it."

Effek turns and looks at the girl "How do you know that, did you see them?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Just ram the door effek, is our only option"

Most of the gangers are still being confused by the Spirit, not having much strength of will beyond simply keeping their heads down. One however looks up as the bee speaks and growls angrily, "I'm the leader! What are you doing in our base?"

Nightshade moves out of view of the doorway she heads north of the compound calling up a small field spirit then casting levitate to clear the constant threat of mines.

The Bee responds "We simply want Holly, if we get her, we leave without killing any more of you, if you refuse, then I'll send the drone closer to kill you all."

The girl nods to Effek, "Yeah, we all saw em. The good looking guy and the Troll took one of the new girls that way. We've seen em come and go and bar the door behind them."

+ Nightshade Summons.

Effek growls as he knows he will prbably die as soon as this door is open, and wonderes why the fuck the mage is not here astrally searching the tunnels. But he decides to kick it, cause so it — seems — the only thing he can do.

Nightshade quickly calls up a field spirit, "Underground a tunnel runs north of here, there are three people in that tunnel, I believe they are headed towards vehicles at the end of the tunnel. You are to go there and do whatever you can to disable the vehicles, then you are to await the people and if they arrive confuse them. Do what you can little one."

The little spirit darts off.

Nightshade looks back towards the building causing all the trouble, she steps close to it placing her hand on it and calling to the spirit of it's domain.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Effek I'm going to try something, don't hit the door for a moment, get ready to throw something at it to open it."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Roger…?"

Nightshade calls up a flitting little spirit that looks out at her through the metal of the building walls, "Go and open the barred door downstairs if you can, then attempt to push it open, be mindful little one there may be tricks and traps that will cause it to explode, vanish quickly once you push."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Take cover Effek."

The little spirit nods and then heads off to carry out its mission.

Nightshade hunkers down near the wall waiting for a "boom"

Baron moves his bee drone downstairs into one of the cells for safety

Effek quickly darts to the otherside of the room farthest from the door qucikly covering aginst any cover he can find "Take cover!" He yelsl tot he girls.

Nightshade shakes her head, having gone fuzzy for a moment, "No time to wait." she berates herself, "Can't let them get away." She finishes casting her levitate spell and starts heading north.

There is the sound of scraping from the other side of the door and finally a metallic clang as if a heavy bar was dropped on the ground. A moment later the door swings slowly open. Or at least open to about six inches of space between the door and frame. The little spirit didn't stick around long enough to open it fully, only got it moving and fled back to the astral.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Alright, sending my drone down the hallway, Effek, follow quickly, but open the door first for me"

Mad Matt looks up at the Bumble-Bee drone, "Get rid of this fucking spirit and you've got a deal Rigger.", he peeks over the edge of the ditch at his burning and demolished home base, "This ain't worth the money those fragging people paid me. I just want you all gone."

Effek still very cautious as he knows it may take a bit more to set off any bomg, he moves over to the door not touching it but instead he looks for any wirig along the hindges or in the open that is attached to the door.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Nightshade, call off the spirit and the gangers will back down"

+ Effek Perception.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "It's your funeral…"

The Bee responds "Simply wait here until we are finished, if you move, I start opening fire again."

Effek quickly opens the door but rushes back as soon as he does to take cover.

Nightshade calls out to the little wind spirit and it returns, "Thank you little friend, if you have a bit more gust left in you, a lesser spirit strives to disable vehicles to the north, join him and help as you can."

The Bee continues "Where does the tunnel come out, are there vehicles there?"

"Yeah, those fraggers had some off-road trikes parked in the ravine to the north under some camouflage netting.", Mad Matt responds.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Off road vehicles under camo netting to the north"

+ Nightshade Casts.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "in a ravine"

The Bee simply hovers there "Thank you for your assistance, we will cause no further harm to your home. Simply wait here until we have what we came for, and we will leave you in peace."

Nightshade lifts off the ground then starts moving forward, rising over the fence and heading north towards the ravine, she glances backwards several times to make sure Lexi hasn't decided to come peering out of the building.
Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "I'm headed that way, Effek do what you can to slow then down, fire a few shots down the hallway, DON'T KILL OUR MARK."

The door creaks open slowly, but there aren't any explosions.

The bee takes off down the hallway at 10 meters per second, yea, its not really that fast.

The wind spirit dashes off to the north, leaving Nightshade in it's wake.

Effek sighs in relieve seriously he really thinks his right eardrum is blown out. He continues now down the all way at a steady speed looking for any bombs as well and for the mark.

The tunnel is about 8 feet high, so likely not very comfortable for poor Rock. Or Effek. It's not very well lit either, in fact, not at all.

Nightshade sighs as the winter wind spins her in a tumble, not wasting the energy to steady herself as she literally throws herself through the air with her mind. She curses and looks down at the weapons in her hands, "Laughs would be weeping if he saw this." she mutters looking at the ground but unwilling to risk that the area wouldn't be mined. She tries to compose herself as the wind whips around her in the wake of the spirit.

The Bee drone flies down to about 6 inches off the ground, and starts moving along at that height through the tunnel, looking for any odd shapes that might be explosives

About halfway down the tunnel, the little drone detects some anomalies along the sides of the tunnel.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Stop effek"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Ok, effek, get outside this tunnel is rigged to explode."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "I am out!"

The Bee Drone rises to a height of 4 foot and starts flying down the tunnel towards the other end.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Get back to the RV effek"

Effek turns around quickly "follow me this whole place is going to blow!" he yells at the girl as he starts climbing the ladder

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Watch for Lexi."

Effek climbs the ladder and starts heading outside he yells again just incase "The whole place is going to go bomm!! Get out now!!"

The bumble-bee in the tunnel is most of the way back when it suddenly goes offline in an momentary burst of static. Outside Nightshade sees the ground practically rise upward, throwing rocks and dirt upward as high as twenty-five feet into the air as an explosion underground abruptly goes off. A moment later the ground above the tunnel sags downward as the tunnel below collapses in on itself. Effek is most of the way out of the building when the explosion goes off, and he and the two girls are almost knocked off of their feet as a shockwave and blast blows upward out of the trap door.

About 200 yards ahead of Nightshade she can see what appears to be smoke and debris rising into the air for the apparent exit of the tunnel.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Lost the bee, guess the tunnel collapsed on it"

Nightshade starts arcing up a bit higher as she approaches trying to see if the spirits have had any luck disabling the vehicles and looking for signs of the trio emerging from the tunnel.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "I said fire a few shots down the tunnel, not a goddamn rocket."

Effek slams hard on one knee as he losses balance quickly grabbing one of the girls arms to support her, he regains his footing making his way out the door and twoards the RV. He is not sure if the whole building is rigged as well, but he does not want to find out.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Bombs in the tunnel, I think they detonated it themselves"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Means they made it out and hit the detonator"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Get your bike effek"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Lowering ramp"

The invisible ramp to the RV lowers down again, waiting for Effek to get inside with the bike.

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "That was that reach around unproffesional stupid fuck nut Rock. I am surpised he has not managed to blow himself up yet!"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Patch yourselves up then get out here. Baron if you think you can drive it follow the path of the tunnel, explosion should have disabled any mines."

Effek quickly turns around running back to his bike and hopping on it. Starting it up he turns around already knowing that they need to get to the off roads vehicles.

The other bumble-bee sees a quite pissed off Mad Matt, who is stomping around in circles and cussing up a storm.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "I'm not risking running over a mine to get to the tunnel side"

Effek quickly pulls the bike inside Barons vehicle "Lets go!"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Ask the damn gangers."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Negotiate with them, tell them they still have a chance to kill the ones who did this."

The bee next to mad matt speaks again "Where are the mines around the facility, we plan to leave soon and would like to know, if our scout gets blown up, we will kill you all."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "They should know where they are or aren't…hell strap the leader to the grill of the RV so he's honest."

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Not a bad idea!"

"The whole fragging area is mined.", Mad Matt growls angrily, "Those fuckers blew up my goddamned escape tunnel!", he starts gesturing for his gang to mount up then looks up at the bumble-bee, "The ravine connects to the road about a mile north of here."

Nightshade curses a blue streak as she tries to survey the tunnel exit from above and ready herself for what is becoming an increasingly unprofitable and uncomfortable effort.

Effek makes his way to Baron "Not sure if this beast will be good in a narrow ravine, we can intercept them. Have the bikers chase them out of the ravine.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Ravine hits the road a mile north of here, heading that way"

Nightshade can see what appears to be the ripped up wreckage of a single trike, but there are two others that are speeding down the ravine away from the tunnel. A troll is on one of the trikes, and a human with a blonde girl in the bitch seat is on the other one. The ravine is about fifteen feet wide and fairly flat on the bottom, possibly even graded by the gangers as part of their escape plan.

Baron sends his Steel Lynx ahead down the road, returns his Bumblbee to his RV, and drives around the mines the whole way back to the main highway with Effek and his bike in the RV

The gangers all get on their bikes and start roaring away from the camp, apparently planning to intercept the other team as well. They have their weapons ready and don't appear to be in a good mood.

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "We need to tell the bikers not to harm the girl!"

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Spotted on trikes, will do what I can to slow them."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Alright, heading your way, gangers are on your way too, gotta protect the girl"

From behind the RV, you hear another bike start up and Lexy takes off cross country away from your position, weaving and jinking the bike as she apparently avoids mined positions.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Lexy on her way to join the team, this is going to be close"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Wait, she is retreating"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Nightshade those biker can and most likly will shoot Holly. I am not sure if they will or wont but we should ask the nicely not too."

Nightshade glances down at the ground and let's out a little sigh before she just cuts her levitate off, in the second before she falls towards the ground she sends a blast of energy man on the trike with the girl.

Baron floors the RV along the dirt road, weaving left and right to the memorized patterns of the mines while the Lynx follows along right behind the RV, its a close call, but somehow he manages to make it to the highway again, turning north and leaning the RV on one side.

Effek leans over "You got a mike on here or something? I doubt they will here you but worth a try?"

Baron grunts as he lays in the bed and tries to rig the vehicle down the road and onto the highway "They had a good lead on us to begin with, they are only in sensor range now."

Effek frowns "Ehh frag!" He says as he just now watches them head twoards the location. He checks the two assualt rifles for any damage.

Nightshade lands heavily as she releases the spell, but the spell doesn't take as she'd hoped. She steadies herself on the ground trying not to take another step as she realizes each step taken could trigger a mine, as quick as she can she readies another spell, this time a nova.

+ Nightshade Does Stuff.

Nightshade casts again but between her wounds and her haste she fails to pull the mana together, she tries to pull together enough time and mana for a final spell before the trikes take them out of range. A levitate spell on Haley, to try and lift her off the bike, with a little luck she'll have the sense to try and get her arms over Sabre.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "AIGH…I can't get shit to work, this is going to get messy, get there, I'll catch up as can."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "I'm on my way"

Following Nightshades final hail mary attempt, the two remaining trikes take a bend in the ravine and go out of sight.

Baron floors it once on the highway, heading for the mile ahead spot where the bikes get out of the Ravine, the Steel Lynx follows the RV, ready to shoot at anything that gives them trouble.

Nightshade heads down the ravine, not quite a run, but a decent effort for the amount of abuse she's put herself through, she doesn't need to get there before the fight starts, just get there before Haley get's beyond retrieval.

Suddenly the sound of a machine gun can be heard down the road, most likely at the juncture where the ravine meets the road.

Joined a few seconds later by the sounds of small arms fire.

Baron jumps into his Lynx, and starts heading down the road at 120 meters per turn, full speed, the RV is slowed down and kept on drone pilot to follow the Lynx.

Nightshade pauses catching her breath as she enters the ravine, feeling around herself for the domain of the mountain spirits, "Come little friends, this is a poor place for you, but there are few places you do not claim ownership of, I have need of you to fetch something for me."

+ Nightshade Summons.

Nightshade drops as a stitch develops in her side, "Little fragging rocky bastards get out here."

The lynx crests a hill ahead of the Bison and its sensors reveal the group of gangers taking cover on the sides of the road. One Thundercloud Pinto is currently stopped across the road and has what appears to be a Troll taking cover behind it and firing a tripodded LMG at the approaching gangers. The other Trike, with Saber and the girl is roaring away from the position while Rock seems to be providing a distraction.

Nightshade doubles over as the mana and spirits simply refuse to heed her and the backlash rips through her. She leans on the katana she carries, grinding the point into the ground and gasping for air. "FRAK!" she screams then starts lumbering forward unable to summon the help she desires.

Effek turns to Baron "Hit him, just run the fuck over!"

+ Baron Shoots.

The Lynx drone flys down the road as fast as its little wheels can take it, and opens up with a burst of gunfire at the troll, but it doesnt even try to slow down, the pilot trying to get ahead to catch the girl instead of worrying about the troll

Rock, who was laying down suppressing fire on the gangers, changes targets and opens up on the Lynx that is rolling toward him at full speed.

+ Rock Shoots.

The LMG rounds whistle harmlessly past the Lynx as it continues pressing forward.

+ Initiative - Rock and Baron.

Baron shoots at Rock, but the rounds pass harmlessly by.

Rock continues firing toward the Lynx, but his LMG rounds bounce harmlessly off of the drones hardened armor.

Baron sends a burst into the bike, but all it does is harmlessly ricochet off the armor.

Rock continues firing, hoping that perhaps some miracle would occur that will stop that drone. It doesn't, but for a Troll Rock is something of an optimist.

Baron sends another burst further down the road, at an attempt to behead sabre, it missess completly.

Rock drops down and takes full cover behind his trike, simultaneously letting his LMG cool down for a few seconds and readies his grenade launcher.

Rock ignores the lynx and sets about indirectly launching grenades at the gangers position. WHOOOMP! WHOOOMP!

Nightshade listens to the gunfire and decides that she's not equipped for that kind of whooping, she flicks on the comm.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Status, sounds like a world war out there."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Rock and gangers are fighting, I'm flying down the road after the girl"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Cause it is. That troll is fighting the gangers, dont worry about him. It wont surpirse me if he dies."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Alright, I'm bugging out then, will trail after you and the girl, no use fighting someone who doesn't have the prize."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Well, he has a hell of a lot of toys though"

Mad Matt pops up and gestures down the road toward Rock, more specifically his trike, still centering via his inarticulate growling skill.

Baron fires another burst from the LMG at the fleeing man with the girl, and yet again, misses completly.

Mad Matt pops up again, apparently tossing another spell, this time at the fleeing Sabre.

The spell flies across the intervening distance nearly instantly and grounds into Sabres trike, causing flames to emit as the vehicle suffers a deadly wound, careening across the highway and crashing into the ditch.

+ Sabre Crashes!

There is a puff of dust and smoke as the speeding trike comes to an abrupt stop in the ditch. Mad Matt pumps his fist and yells, "Yes! Take that fragger!", then he drops down into his ditch as another grenade comes in.

The Rock continues firing his grenade launcher to keep the gangers back.

The Drone turrent turns slightly as it flies down the road, firing a blast of gunfire at the Rock

The Rock seemed a bit distracted by Sabre abruptly crashing into the ditch and didn't notice the drone switching it's targetting crosshairs back to him. The LMG round slam into his armored jacket with a smacking sound audible from quite a distance. The large burly troll grunts in pain as he rolls with the impact to diminish the effect. Getting up a moment later and moving back toward his trike.

Effek just remains watching, not much he can do.

Mad Matt, encouraged by his previous success throws another spell at the Rocks trike.

+ Matt Casts!

Once more Matt is rewarded as the Trolls bike abruptly explodes, sending the Rock staggering backwards.

The Rock seems a bit distraught and turns to run toward the ditch for cover.

Baron fires a full auto burst, throwing lead death through the air at the Rock, unfortunately, he managas not to get hit due to the high vehicle speed

The Rock takes a flying leap and dives into the muddy cover of the drainage ditch.

Mad Matt begins looking for more vehicular targets, not spotting the Bison (thanks to the invis spell) as it crests the hill.

The gangers poke their heads up after some encouragement from Mad Matt and bring their guns to bear, waiting for the trog to come into view again.

Baron sends out a signal to his Bison, to slow to 80 and move to the side of the road without the flaming trike. The Lynx drone moves and slows down as well.

Sabre staggers onto the far side of the ditch, carrying a bloody and apparently unconscious Holly in his arms. He starts trying to move cross country away from the road.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Turn north mage lady, target is on foot now"

Nightshade dutifully starts moving North, seriously considering just icing Holly and calling this one a day. She keeps a close eye on the ground steering clear of anything that looks even remotely like it might be mined.

Baron drives along down the road, past the flaming trike, heading to stop at the area where Saber crashed. He plans to take a shot, hopefully the wounded man will not get that far.

By the time the Lynx arrives at the crash site, Sabre and Holly are about 120 yards from the road. Meanwhile Matt and the gangers are cautiously approaching the last known location of the Rock.

Nightshade keeps here eyes and ears wide open as she moves to intercept Saber.

+ Baron Shoots

Nightshade keeps moving on an intercept course, her weapons ready but not taking action other than movement unless Saber starts to move away from her, at this point her efforts are to get within short range of her borrowed assault rifle.

Sabre keeps a wary eye on the approaching drone as he heads away from the road, probably why he has not yet noticed Nightshade. As the drone stops and draws a bead on him, he throws himself to the side in a spontaneous dodge maneuver and drops Holly to the ground to give him more maneuverability.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Got him pinned"

Baron sends a few bursts in the air over the targets head, keeping them pinned down, leaden death travelling the space above them, making getting up a bad idea.

Nightshade clears her throat, "Do me a favor, I'll have the lunatic in the lynx stop shooting if you'll just start running and don't try and pick up the girl, it's been a long day, and I'd really like it for you to survive and teach whoever set this up why it is such a bad idea to send to professional groups of runners against each other."

Nightshade is standing just a bit outside the line of fire of the lynx, though she made sure there's a fairly thick tree directly between her and it in case Baron turns and shoots without looking.

Sabre looks over at Nightshade and nods, "Fine, take her. This definitely ain't worth the money we were paid.", he pauses, "Tell the rigger to stop firing and I will be out of here."

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Hold fire, Sabre will be moving away from my position, if he attempts to pick up the girl, just shoot them both."

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Roger"

Baron stops shooting from the drone

Nightshade nods, "Hope to meet you on the same side of a paycheck someday, your team is incredibly capable."

Nightshade keeps the assault rifle trained on Sabre, taking aim actions with each passing moment till he moves away.

When the Lynx stops firing, Sabre offers a nod and salute to Nightshade, then rises to a crouch and starts moving away at a good clip…though he is apparently ready to drop to the ground again at a moments notice if the drone opens up once more.

Baron thinks about it, but figures he might as well let the guy go since Nightshade told him to, so the drone keeps a bead on the guy, but does not fire.

Nightshade moves over to Holly checking her quickly for parting gifts from Rock or Sabre, then hoists her up to her shoulder and starts moving towards the RV.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Be ready to roll out, the mark looks injured, have any medkit available on hand please."

Holly was severely wounded in the crash and still appears to be unconscious.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Sorry, dont have a medkit in here yet"

The gangers and Mad Matt continue their slow advance on Rock, slowing as they near the edge of the ditch. Suddenly a mud covered troll leaps out of the ditch and charges into their midst. A second later there is an earthshaking WHUUUUMMMPPP! sound and the troll disappears in a solid explosion, throwing gangers and ganger parts in a several dozen meter radius.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Well then, let's get her to the drop quick before she bleeds to death…what in the Trix was that?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "I can stabilize her with some things, but it wont be good"

Screams fill the air as some of the gangers that somehow managed to survive the blast try desperately to crawl away from the suicided trolls last position. None of them look to be in good condition.

Nightshade continues chugging along at a ground eating and side stitching pace, not worried about pacing herself now, just trying to get to the RV before her lungs give out, deep breaths have always caused her trouble and the creaking of her bony plates is audible, as she clears the area to the road she looks over at the massacred gangers.

Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Looks like they took some heavy losses, did we agree not to take everything they own?"

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Not really, just that I wouldnt kill them all"

Commlink-114.243> Effek says, "Ehh I can use a few more armor? Guns I am good in."

Nightshade puts Holly into the RV, "Well, let's call in and see how soon they can pickup the girl. If you want to stop back in and do a quick bit of looting, I'm not against it. But I need a few minutes rest before we do any heavy lifting." She walks to the front of the RV to look out the window and see who if anyone is left functional, "Dunno, you think that if we help them out now they'll over look all the folk we blew up earlier?"

Nightshade shrugs, "They were kind of assholes though…"

Baron shakes his head "Nah, leave them and leave their crap, only thing worth value is thier bikes, and I cant fit a ton of them in here."

Effek shrugs "There will be more armor in the future."

Effek climbs back into the RV and sits down. Now too rest he says in his head.

Nightshade nods, then considers, "Hmm, actually we're not too far out of town are we, damnit what was his number." Pose flips through her cellphone looking for the number of a troll she'd met a bit back, a bouncer at The Big House who was known to be a member of the Demolition Boyz. If she can find it she puts in a call, suggesting that there's an opportunity to do some salvage and cleanup.

Baron starts heading out, and back to town, after picking up his drone of course. He lets the others handle calling the Jay, he just handles the driving.

The Demolition Boyz contact seems interested by the information and thanks Nightshade profusely.

Nightshade yoinks the card out of the disposable cell phone destroying it, then tucks the pieces into her pocket to be trashed later, another mission another trip to the stuffer shack for a replacement. She keeps an eye on Holly as they drive to the drop point, belting her into place after making sure none of her wounds are about to open up and pour out blood,

Holly doesn't appear to be bleeding out. At least not externally.

Nightshade puts in the call to the Jay arranging the pickup from another of her disposable phones.

A terse voice answers the contact number, "Right, go to the contact coordinates and a chopper will arrive to take custody of Holly, one of the medtechs will have the remainder of your pay.", the voice pauses, "Nice job." *click*

Baron drives them wherever they need to go.

It takes about twenty minutes to reach the LZ and a chopper is wheeling around to land as the Bison comes into the clearing. Once the craft is on the ground a couple of white clad medical types hop out and rush over to the RV with a stretcher and a plethora of medical gear. A third man, obviously a medical mage is on hand also, and tosses a trio of credsticks to Nightshade, "There you go", he was the owner of the voice on the phone.

Nightshade nods then hands the medical mage a card with the number for one of her disposable phone accounts on it, "For the next time something needs doing."

Baron remains laying on his bed, watching the activity from his sensors, he keeps the lynx hot in the back of the RV, unless things go badly for some reason, hopefully not.

Nightshade looks at the medical crew, "Not to be nosy, but should my team and I be taking any medical precautions?"

The mage accepts the card, looks at it and places it in an interior pocket. "No, we just plan for the worst and hope for the best.", he pauses and looks over where his team is working on the girl, "If any of you need any medical assistance speak now…otherwise we are out of here."

Effek raises his hand just before he climbs in "Im pretty bad…"

Nightshade shakes her head, "Nothing I can't sleep off." She moves off with the credsticks. Later she retrieves her trinkets replacing them around her neck, and looks over the random arms that she gathered during the chaos just before Lexi surprised Baron

The medical mage pauses and looks over at Effek, "Almost lost out on some healing big guy.", he turns and takes a step over and casts a heal spell on Effek, "Consider that a bonus for a job well done.", he turns and climbs into the chopper. <insert previous departure pose here>

Effek nods and smiles as the mage does his things.

Once the healing is done, the medical mage offers a farewell wave to the team and climbs into the helicopter to check on Holly. The chopper immediately lifts off once he is inside and heads off toward the west.

Baron waits for everyone to get thier act together, takes his credstick from Nightshade, then kicks Effek out of the RV with his bike "See ya." then he takes Nightshade wherever she wants.

Nightshade settles into the RV, putting her head back, then her nose wrinkles, she turns to discover the tattered remains of a set of shorts whose life was much to brief, "You should bury these things proper, or burn them like a viking funeral…" she looks over at the laundry hamper, "Actually, you might want to consider just burning all your old pairs and starting fresh…"
