Plot: An arms dealer needs a shipment protected, he hires the runners to do just that.

Word travels out through the various sources in the shadow community that a man by the name Enrico Chivaldori needs some guns to guard his guns. You are to meet him at his warehouse on the south end of the Warrens, the address is given to you via a trixmail. Arrive at 8AM.

The job sounds interesting enough, so Haley rolls out of bed. She takes a shower and gets dressed. After applying her makeup, she grabs her pistol and slides it into a concealable holster. She looks around and picks up her long case and heads outside to her van. Slipping into the driver's seat she fires up the engine and heads across the UCAS boarder. She arrives ten minutes early, she's only fashionably late to social occasions. Finding a place to park her vehicle she steps out of it and takes stock of the area. That done she steps up to the warehouse and knocks on one of the doors.

Annie arrives a few moments after Haley, joining her at the door while the other elf knocks.

Dekkar rounds the corner of the building, looking to have been visually inspecting it from the outside beforehand. His Rapier is parked nearby, but not in view of the warehouse. Dekk's wearing his goggles, granting him plenty of options to see by. How long had he been here? It wasn't really apparent. He joins Haley and Annie at the door. "Two familiar faces. This is good." Dekkar smiles briefly and waits.

The warehouse is suprisingly lightly guarded. You do see a few men with assault rifles and armor patroling, but they only watch you head to the door, not bothering you at all. After the door is knocked on it is opened by a latino man wearing a fine suit, he gestures for you to enter and turns to walk towards a door to a room inside the warehouse. He says nothing, simply assumes you will be following him. The warehouse is filled with various crates of a myrad of sizes, in the distance you can see a large truck being loaded up.

If you follow the man inside the room you see a table with six chairs, he moves over to one and takes a seat, reaching into a breast pocket and pulling out a pack of cigarettes he lights one up and waits for you all to take a spot at the table.
Annie follows the fellow inside, taking a seat at the table and making herself comfortable for the meet.

To Dekkar, Haley gives a smile, but then she's usually smiling. Its like she's remembering a fond joke. She steps into the room and she takes a seat on one of the chairs, crossing her legs at the knee. She pushes the glasses into better position on her nose as she looks around the room.

Dekkar moves in as the door opens, proceeding to the table. He glances over the room, and has a seat. As soon as he does, he removes his goggles that obscured his eyes, moments before, into being black orbs of sensory goodness. He nods at the J.

After you all have taken a seat, the man looks over each of you a moment, then begins his speech "I used to have a good security team here, escorting my deliveries anywhere without fail. They got greedy and thought they could take advantage of me, and now I seem to be lacking a security team for the moment. I need an escort for my truck. Get it safely through the warrens to the CAS border check, and your task is complete. I expect resistance from my former security team as well as a local gang that they have cut a deal with. I'll pay you each 15 to do this, or if you prefer, I'll give you a hefty discount on my stock."
Annie cocks her head slightly, "What does your 'stock' comprise of?"

The man looks to Annie "Weapons and ammo, I'm afraid I'm low on the serious firepower at the moment, but I have a few big toys left."

At the discount in stock, Haley perks up and she says, "Oi'll go for some ammo." She smiles even brighter as she says this, nodding her head to the job she says, "Do you have a driver for your truck, one ya can trust or do ya want one of us to handle that kinda stuff too?"

Annie nods, "Depending on what you have, I might be interested in the gear discount.", she shrugs, "But…when does the truck leave and how long will the trip take?"

The man responds to the questions "I have a driver for the truck, The trip should take thirty minutes at most, but I know they will be ambushing it en route somewhere. It leaves in one hour."

Dekkar speaks up, after a short silence. "Do we know anything more than that, like a force strength, or specifics about their weapons or tactics?"

The man nods "My security team is six men, well trained, mostly assault rifles, but they know how to use larger weapons too. I'm sure they want the truck intact, but any escorts might be elimated with heavy firepower if they have got ahold of it. The gang is of no real threat, but the security team will have AV ammo and work to disable the vehicle."

"Oy, AV ammo," says Haley with a dispodant tone. She laughs a little and says, "Oh well, Oi guess that's just a little more difficulty." She looks to her companions and asks, "Anyone good with electronics? We might wanna check ova the truck an' make sure they don't have anybody puttin' trackas awn it."

Annie nods, "I can give it a once or twice over."

The man looks at you all "If you have no further questions, I must leave. The shipment leaves in 55 minutes. Your payment will be with the driver and you will recieve it once he is in the CAS."

The man adds "If you want stock, leave a list with the driver and your cut, then return here in two days to pick up your orders."
Annie nods, "Sounds reasonable."

Reaching into her jacket pocket, Haley slides a comm into her right ear and adjusts the microphone. She taps it and looks between her fellow runners and she asks, "Everyone got comms?" She stands from the table and picks up the large case she brought with her. She looks around to find the van they'll be escorting.

The Johnson heads off, and outside in the warehouse you see the truck, its a large transport, sorta like a big Uhaul. The driver is sitting inside with the door open while crates are being loaded in the back.
Annie coordinates comms with the rest of the team, then heads out to make a quick inspection of the vehicle.

Dekkar nods. "That sounds good, if a bit dangerous. Nothing I am not prepared for." He takes a breath and nods again. "Yeah, I got comms."

The truck is a GMC 4201, a large boxy transport truck. It seems in good condition and the driver apparently is a rigger because he is currently jacked into the vehicle. You can tell that the truck is armored fairly heavily, but perhaps not enough to stop assault rifle AV rounds.

Annie walks around the truck, examining it for potential risks, casting the occasional 'Detect Bugs' and 'Detect Explosives' spell as she walks. Sure the Detect Explosives probably gives her a long litany of items (including the gas tank), but at least it is a comprehensive and detailed list.

To (Frostlog, Dalton), Annie pages: So no transmitters (AOD or otherwise) or anything else that could be deemed a surveillance device? I will also check the vehicle to make sure there isn't an active transponder or killchip.

Walking outside, Haley puts the briefcase into her van and she locks it up. She heads back into the warehouse looking over the transport. She smiles and then rubs her chin lightly in thought. Pulling the revolver from under her jacket she flips open the cylinder and looks at the ammo. Snapping it closed she returns it to its holster. She moves towards the van and pulls a large barreled popgun from under the other lapel of her armored jacket and adjusts the fat cork that rests inside.

Dekkar looks around and then proceeds out to the truck. He checks himself moreso than the truck, feeling over his armor, feeling for ammo in his pockets, a self-check. He readies his Tac Comm, and enables it.
Annie seems satisfied with her examination of the delivery truck, then heads over to her own vehicle and gears up for the mission.

Preperations are made, and everyone gets ready to go. The truck starts up, and pulls out of the warehouse, now nicely disguised as a charity vehicle, one of those mobile clinics. As it hits the street, it turns left.

Annie rides along with the driver, sustaining the vehicle mask. She does try to keep an eye out however in spite of the slight amount of distraction provided by spell sustaining.

Following along in her van, Haley rests the popgun on her lap. She drives casually a half block behind the lead truck. She switches on the radio turning the volume to low. A sickeningly cheerful J-Pop song comes over the speakers, she bobs her head side to side as she drives along.

Well, they tried to hide from you, but you managed to spot them. 4 men on bikes about two blocks down the road are staring hard at the warehouse when the truck pulls out. After a moments hesitation, they start up thier bikes and begin to pursue.

Inside the van Haley says, "Just keep in mind we're in the unarmored van." She adjusts her rear view mirror and switches off the music. She laughs and says, "Oh I hope they try ta pass us, that'll be funny." She drums her fingers on the steering wheel as she drives along casually.

Two of the bikes actually accelerate, coming up and splitting as they go around the trailing van. Two bikes remain behind, following at a distance.

Dekkar is not much affected by the J-pop. It's probably not his thing, but it's not bothering him either. He just keeps his eyes in the mirrors, out the sides and on the road. "Oh, I hope so. Think they'd get mad if we stopped to examine and poke fun at the road kill?"

As the bike rolls up on the driver's side, Haley jerks the wheel to the left. She laughs sharply, a rapid fire ha ha ha as the van almost rolls up onto two wheels. She smacks her hand on the steering wheel as the biker goes up on the curb. She says, "That dirty rat," as she watches the bikes roll past.

Dekkar draws his Super Warhawk but keeps it across his lap. He just gets it ready, just incase. He snickers at Haley's enjoyment of the action, animated a bit by her energy, a half smile cracking momentarily.
Annie observes the approaching bikes in the mirrors and sighs. "Ah well…the disguise was a good idea at the time.", she mumbles loud enough for the driver to hear, "Go ahead and ramp up the speed. I want those guys going at a good clip to keep up with us.", she advises after a moment before keying her comm and subvocalizing, «Be advised that you may want to slow a bit.»

The truck speeds up a bit, but has to slow to take a turn up ahead, after the turn, it kicks it up to about 75. The bikes maintain pace behind the vehicle, then after the turn, they speed up to get around the truck. Still two more bikes farther behind, just keeping a few blocks back and in sight.

Laughing as the call comes in for the van to slow down, Haley says over the comms, «You got it,» she hands over the popgun to Dekkar and she says, "Here, use this," twirling it around so that the handle is pointing up. She grins as she handles the van with one hand saying, "You'll love it, trust me."

The two bikes following the truck speed up as they attempt to pull up alongside the delivery vehicle. Suddenly a glimmering wall of force springs into existence ahead of them and the bikes slam into it with no time for the drivers to attempt a maneuver. Wreckage and bodies fly into the air, tires rebound and bounce off merrily onto the curb. It's not pretty…a bike was not really designed for ramming into walls.

A moment later the wall shimmers and is abruptly simply gone as Annie drops sustaining it to allow Haley and Dekkar to pass.

The two trailing bikes begin to speed up, following Haleys vehicle. Just as you pass one intersection in the big truck, two SUVs pull into the street at the next intersection and block the road, men jumping out and taking cover with assault rifles.

Dekkar accepts the pop gun into his grip, leaving his Warhawk in his lap. He glances over it with a raised eyebrow. He lowers the eyebrow in response to Haley's grin. "I'm going to trust you on that." He then brings the pop gun across his lap and waits for the possible opportunity to pop gun someone. He lets out a loud "HAH!" in response to the crash ahead, letting loose his enthusiasm in one word followed by his own grin.

Laughing along with Dekkar, Haley says, "Just don't pop it in here, or you'll kill us both." She looks into the rearview mirror and she says, "Ahaha that'll make 'em think twice about messin' with us." She takes the wheel with both hands and she says, "Well not -those- guys. I think the last thing through their mind was their noses."

Dekkar's grin only gets wider at the apparent danger of this pop gun. He looks it over again. "I'll be sure to roll down a window." He laughs, and surveys the mirrors and the road again.

"Fudgesickles", Annie mutters as she begins to tell the driver to stop, but stops when it seems that he already knows what to do. She switches to her comm and subvocalizes, «Ok, think you can take those guys behind us? We are stopping. Road ahead is a bit crowded.»

The transport truck slows to a stop about 80 meters from the roadblock, the driver looking to Annie "What now?"
The team ahead is holding thier position and not firing, behind Haley, alot more motorcycles appear from alleys and intersections, totalling 10 now, most of them seem armed with SMGs.

Rolling to a stop Haley looks to Dekkar and she says, "Well seein' we're gonna stop here.." She holds out her hand and she says, "Hand it ova." Grinning widely she unbuckles her seatbelt and presses the unlock button to her van.

Annie shrugs at the driver, "I would recommend turning around or backing up. This area is getting ugly.", she sighs and gestures to the street between her vehicle and the assault rifles, trying once more to erect a barrier to slow down any incoming rounds that might seek to incap her ride.
«Plot» Annie says, "Allocating some spell defense to the truck. I assume the windows are tinted sufficiently to protect us from LOS."

Dekkar looks at the motorcycles he can quickly see, and then passes the pop gun back to Haley, offering it to her handle first, barrel pointed down. "Have at!" He then grins, the oncoming rush about to set in. He grabs his Warhawk again, ready to do some damage. He scans constantly now.

Backing the van up, Haley T-bones the road and then she throws open the door. Lowering the popgun she says, "Pop." The gun fwumps, and the cork pops out, dangling from the string. While that might amuse people to see, its not so funny when the mini grenade fires from it. Bouncing on the street it explodes knocking a couple gangers off their bikes.

The flickering barrier once more pops into being at Annie's bidding. It stretches across the road, providing some decent cover against small arms fire. By no means perfect, at least the incoming rounds will have their power diminished by the wall and give Annie and her chauffeur a fighting chance to escape the blockade.

Dekkar raises his pistol up, and leans forward across Haley, throwing a leg across the console for stability. He takes a shot beside Haley out of her opened door, at the same group of bigers, with his big Warhawk, complete with a laser and optics that add to its appreciable mass. A ganger responds appropriately, by being taken completely off his bike via the sheer kinetic energy of a Warhawk round.

The musical sounds of sperethiel begin flowing from Annies lips as she centers versus the sustaining penalties and the lingering Warrens background count. Her helmet whirrs softly as the optical magnification aligns on the targets, a glowing orb projected onto her heads-up display to delineate the projected area of effect based off of rangefinder data. Her hand comes up and she flicks her fingers toward the targets as if removing some water from her fingertips. The ball flickers invisibly across the intervening distance giving her two targets a helluva headache, but not dropping them.

Two more grenades fire down range as Haley doesn't even bother to replace the cork. As both grenades bounce into the group she says, "Kablooey!" She fist pumps the air as she laughs sharply watching gangers getting caught up in the blast wave.

The sec team begins to move once the presence of offensive magic has been confirmed. Two move on each side of the street, sprinting forward along near the buildings, a short distance behind them another two split on each side of the road. The two hit with the stunball crouch behind thier SUV, going out of LOS. There are now 2 men on each side of the road, rushing up to get past the barrier.

Dekkar remains steady, keeping the shots coming at a solid pace, barrel level and straight through the whole trigger pull, which is long due to the revolver's nature. His barrel flattens out to a remarkable stillness after recovery from the last shot, and another bursts forth. This time, it was the biker dumb enough to get up and become a better target that catches the slug, returning to the ground below where his buddies roll around. Dekk's not lobbing grenades into the fight but he is making precision count for something, one round at a time.

Grenades are going off left and right, a guy with a really big handgun is nailing people, and gangers are crawling and trying to stand, but they all are also raising SMGs and just unloading bursts at the van, there are eight gangers in the street, a few hiding behind thier bikes, some simply standing, but lots of bullets are making holes in Haleys van.

Annie continues her elvish chant, raising a hand once more in a mock 'gun' format with thumb raised and forefinger tracking one of the approaching former security team members. "Zot!", she murmurs as the thumb drops and a stunbolt arcs across the astral and soaks into the aura of the hapless attacker. He simply rolls his eyes back in his head and drops in his tracks, his gun clattering uselessly to the pavement beside him.

The large truck turns, moving towards the side of the road to back around Haleys Van. Its slow going, but your putting more distance bewtween the truck and the sec team.

Swinging her popgun around to a better angle. Haley peeks out from behind the edge of the door. She squeezes the trigger softly twice and two more thumping sounds come from the gun. The cork dangles from the string as the mini grenades fire down range. The grenades explode and send battered bodies flying into the air.

Haley has reconnected.

Dekkar shouts, "Moving!" instinctively as he vaults out the van past Haley's side. He sprints to the barrier he can make out, prepared to defend his position if the enemy gets in range but taking full cover knowing that he can't. He pops the revolving chamber out, and slips three more rounds into his Warhawk, before slapping the chamber back into position.

Its only been a few seconds, one moment, they were ready to rob a truck full of guns and ammo, the next couple of seconds saw grenades exploding everywhere among thier ranks, knocking them from thier bikes, and shredding at thier bodies. The next few grenades finsihed off the gangers trying to climb to thier feet an attack back, a volly of SMG fire was supposed to stop the grenades, but alas, they failed. Now that most of the gangers are bloody messes across the roads, the last three gangers and running for the nearby buildings, seeking some solace from the crazy lady and her grenades

Annie switches to a new target, her forefinger tracking once more until the thumb drops. Another stunbolt arcs out and drops another enemy sec team member, leaving him to crawl off. She doesn't take her eyes off the approaching enemies but addresses the driver, "Hold here. We've got some mop-up to do.", she pushes the door open and prepares to jump out when the vehicle speed drops to a safer rate.

The driver complies, stopping the truck and just waiting to see what these guys are going to do next, he is fairly confident in thier abilities after watching the sights in the mirrors and ahead of him.

Replacing the cork into her gun barrel, Haley slaps a fresh clip into the bottom. She looks back at the gangers and points the gun in their direction. She changes her mind, giving them a laugh as she rushes towards the rogue security group.

Lets see, we had 6 to start with, now we are down to 2 that don't have massive headaches….yea, time to hide. The two remaining running sec team members make their way into narrow alleys between buildings on each side of the road, vanishing from sight. Down the street you can see the two SUVs pulling away from thier blockaide, each heading a seperate direction.

"Well hell!", Annie growls to herself as the enemy routs before her once more, sort of like the CalFree army at the first Battle of Redding. Deja Vu. She sighs and looks over at the driver, "Well, looks like we aren't going to be able to finish the buggers off after all.", she points down the now clear street, "Looks like the path is clear to take this puppy home."

Dekkar gets the idea, and heads back to the holy van. He opens his door, hops in, sits down, clicks, and lays his Warhawk back across his lap.

After the rout, its a pretty easy ride from there to the CAS border, things are fairly quiet after word spreads about the assault. Massive magical displays tend to discourage most crazies from coming out to play. All is quiet as you cross into the CAS and the driver pulls over and looks to Annie "Well, you want the cred or do you got a chip with what you want on it?"
Annie waves a hand, dropping the wall from existence. "You actually feel safe with those guys guarding you before?", she inquires of the driver as she straps herself in once more. "Round em up, move em out.", she states solemnly and gives the forward motion with her hand. She doesn't drop her guard for the remainder of the trip however…there is always the potential for excitement when hauling a load of guns through the Warrens.

"Well poo," complains Haley as she moves back to her van. She looks over the battered van and climbs in following the cargo truck.

Annie nods to the driver, giving him a chip containing her weapons order. "Have your boss call me on that number if he needs any clarification.", she instructs before getting out of the vehicle and giving her farewell. She crosses over and climbs into Haley's van for the ride back to her own vehicle.
