«Plot» Simon says, "I'll need consent. I'm a very reactionary GM. I tend to let you do whatever you want and I represent the world as I see it, reacting to your actions. Or going on in other places without you. I will warn you if you start on a path I view as very high risk."
«Plot» Savannah says, "I consent"
«Plot» Tycho consents.
«Plot» Lockpick consents.
«Plot» Hunni consents

Word comes down of a simple job, what they need is alot of eyes, your talents hopefully won't be needed beyond a keen eye and a calm mind. The meet is just inside of the FTZ, an office building, floor 2, room 213.

Office building in the FTZ. Savannah hmms and picks out a likely selection of clothing, opting to dress nicer instead of runnery. She'll grab a go back with her assorted work belongings and checks her mental ties to her friends. With Rachel riding neatly in Astral Space to watch her back, Savannah heads out towards the meeting, aiming to show up a few minutes early. She'll park her vehicle in a public parking area a mile or so away and take a brisk walk towards the meeting place, getting to know the area and doing some light looking around as she approaches.

Tycho is never one to miss out on a oppertunity for free money. Arriving as instructed and on time to the appointed meeting place, the large cyborg only carries the bare essentials. the cyborg parks his cheap americar out front of the building and picking up his backpack of supplies(electronics kit and medkit) he heads into the office building.

Having spent the better part of the cold morning discussing with her partner the lack of work Hunni's willing to come along and check things out. She too picks something professional looking but still enough to conceal her little pistol in and makes to travel the standard 'block and a bit' away before walking the distance remaining on foot. Heading into the office building the sniper woman does glance about for the usual signs of bad things."

The office building is actually under renovations, its an older building that shows a sign saying its going to be a new Bank of Denver branch. There are no workers today though, apparently having the day off. The doors are unlocked, and its an easy move to slip inside with little notice. There is construction equipment all over the bottom floor, along with materials like lumber and whatever else is used to refurbish buildings. The elevators are shut down, but there are stairs, on the second floor its easy to find room 213. The room is large and bare, a man sitting at a table, and off in a far corner a briefcase. The man nods as each person enters, waiting until everyone is here before he speaks. "The task is simple." he points across the room to the case. "You need to carry that case to the other end of the FTZ, a small pawn shop near the Ute Border check. I highly suggest avoiding any police and don't even think of getting near any border crossing. The case has a scrambler and a jammer, so while you could use a vehicle, it would make it stand out to gridguide. This is the most important part." He pauses a moment. "Do. not. open. the. case." He smiles a bit after that. "Ten each if you deliver the case in the next five hours."

«Plot» Tycho says, "doe the case stand out in any way or is it just a buissness case?"

Savannah looks doubtfully at the case as the Johnson explains the job being offered. She shrugs, her expression seeming to indicate that the price is reasonable for a courier job and asks only, "Does the case need to be carried by hand to this location or are there any other restrictions?"

The case appears somewhat generic. Its definatly not tres chic, it looks like a cheap wage slaves briefcase. The Jay turns to regard Savannah, "As long as the case reaches its destination the method of its transport is less than important. I suppose whatever draws the least amount of attention is optimal, do remember it does have a short range jammer setup in it."

"Anyone looking for it, or just moving things in general and need security?" tycho chimes in leaning against a piece of unfinished drywall and the doorframe.
Hunni quietly speaks up, asking the question most likely to be playing across some of the other runner's mind. "Is it stable? Is there risk to us if it is dropped, shaken or…placed in hot places?"

LP shows up a bit behind. His buddy dropped him off but had to stop for doughnuts. Who knew a rigger would eat so much? Either way, he made his way to that room in his normal gear. Catching the last bit of the job, he'd eye the suitcase like it was a rotten apple. This didn't feel right.. but he couldn't make why. He'd keep silent, listening to the questions the others had about this courier run.

The Jay turns to regard the case for a moment, then looks back to the runners. "Its stable, in fact its rather heavy honestly. As long as you deliver the case in less than five hours, there will be no problems with the case." He smirks, "And no, it wont blow up after five hours, there is just another reason for this." He turns to respond to Tycho. "Well, at this time I do not think anyone is actively looking for the case, that could change any minute though. They would be looking for whats 'in' the case."

"Seems reasonable enough to me, I'm in." Savannah shifts her weight and waits for the others, eyes drifting over the assembled possible team mates and then the case in question. She hums quietly under her breath and laces her fingers together behind her back.

"you mind if i see how heavy?" tycho says crossing the room and reaching down and stopping short of actually pickign the thing up, waiting for the johnsons approval before touching the man's case without takign the job.

The jay waves a hand. "Go ahead."

The case fills like at least half its size is solid lead. Its heavy.

«Plot» Tycho lifts weights,"Would the others of slighter build in the room be able to comfortably carry this?"

Glancing at Savannah. Huh.. well.. why not? LP would shrug and then nod towards the John. "A'right mate. I'm in. Doesn't sound like it'll be that rough of a job, wiz?"
«Plot» Simon says, "Anyone with STr 4 can carry it, but after about 10 minutes its going to show some strain on them."
«Plot» Simon says, "Less strength could lift it, but carrying it for very long is not likely."
«Plot» Tycho says, "i presume i could carry it no problem for however long then."
«Plot» Simon says, "Yes, your fine."

Hunni looks between the others before nodding, raising a hand in silent signal of acceptance. She's in. The asian woman doesn't actually move to test or try lifting the case as Tycho picks the thing up. Better not to have hands full anyway.

The Jay nods "Well then, if everyone is ready to go, I wish you good luck. The pawn shop will be open for the next five hours, when you drop off the case, you will recieve your payments."

"I'm in." Tycho says walking back over to the group with the case,"And i did catch your meaning, is anyone searching for whats in the case? they just dont knwo whats in it?"

The Jay looks to Tycho. "The jammer should take care of anyone pinpointing the case, but there may be individuals watching for it. I have no firm intel on that."

"Can we spray paint it a diffrent color need be? or do you want it unmolested?" tycho says asking his final question.

Nodding, Savannah turns towards the exit and then pauses as Tycho questions the Johnson. She'll wait, checking her nails and outfit while doing so. She doesn't seem bored or upset by the questions, but more willing to wait in silence until the man is ready.

Hunni just shakes her head. They can't open the case and they can't change it most likely, but that doesn't remove all the ideas. "I have a backpack in my car that may be of use." the asian woman says lightly.

The Jay smirks a bit. "Well, you could spray paint it, but I assure you, no one else has seen the 'case'. Its whats in the case folks are looking for. They may have a method to track it, we hope the jammer will keep that from pointing exactly at you. What this means is, anyone looking for the case would know its somewhere near them, but wouldn't know for sure. So my best advice…try to look casual."

Lockpick would wait by the door for the guy who was carrying the case. He'd eye Tycho, then the case, before shaking his head slightly. "Or run fast, I'm guessin? Ya dun really look the wage slave type chummer.. hate ta break it to ya."

Tycho nods andmove to walk outside the room withthe other runners."Runnin' down the street in the FTZ just makes the powers what is mad." Tycho says in his smooth monotone."Big chrome ork with a backpack walkin to a pawnshop? Not the craziest thign in denver."

Savannah giggles at Lockpick's remark, covering her mouth with a hand. She'll shake her head, hair tossling a bit as she remarks, "It's the FTZ, what could go wrong?" Waiting for and not hearing any ominous music, she'll move to head out with the others, "If nothing else, we could toss you in a cab and you could pay them mad cash to drive fast that way?"

To (Lockpick, Hunni, Savannah, Frostlog), Simon pages: The traffic outside the building is fairly light right now. There are two men down the street, they are both smoking and looking towards your group, though they seem to be trying not to look too long. One of them pulls out a phone and begins to dial.
Lockpick dropped New Voucher.
New Voucher has left.

Catching sight of something down the street, Savannah quietly and quickly remarks, "I suggest we split up and start moving. One in front, one behind, maybe one to the side. Float in and out, try to be subtle and just get moving. Make them, whoever they are, come to us, neh?"
«Plot» Tycho says, "anyone else higher then str 4?"

The sidelong glance was enough for him to confirm that they already had watches. Looking to Savannah, he'd nod slightly and with a cheery wave, start to drift off to the side. "A'right chummers, I'll catch ya at that stuffer shack later fer sure!"

Tycho nods to savanah,"How about we get some big shopping bags and i'm just the elf's man servent carrying all her boxes up and down the street. Other two cover us. breif case in a bag under a sweater or something."
To (Lockpick, Hunni, Savannah, Frostlog), Simon pages: The man on the phone hangs up, and the two of them move inside the building they are standing in front off.

Blinking at Tycho, "Outside of the racial disharmony that exists between our metaspecies, I'm afraid I cannot stay within proximity of the case for very long. And I expect the jammer will play havoc with radios as well." Savannah starts across the street, indicating Hunni, "But you can be her Man Friday if you'd like? I'll be around, watching. Stay sharp!" With that, the well-dressed elf crosses the street and starts down the block, towards the direction they've been sent.
«Plot» Simon says, "You have about five miles to walk to hit your target. At a casual pace that shouldn't take too long for the group."

Too slow. Shaking his head, he'd just follow behind the others, a bit of a distance back, although keeping them in sight, just in case. Watchers already were not a good sign. Although that could just be the John confirming they were doing the job too. Either way, he'd try to blend in, just one guy in the crowd, while staying within 30 meters of Tycho and the briefcase for now.

So far so good. No bullets, no sirens, no one obviously chasing you. You start to move down the street and there is the usual light traffic. This is an office area mostly, so the traffic right now is light, everyones already at work.

Tycho ses off towards the pawn shop, heavy case in his hand and backpack thrown over his shoulder. Matching his stride to what he things thinks the rest of the group can keep up with. Mentally he locks his grip on the hand, the enhanced ligamenture clicking slightly as his grip tightens around the breifcases handle, making removing it form his grasp an impossible task.

Making her way through the light morning crowd at a sedate pace, Savannah doesn't work to keep up with where she thinks Tycho is, but she doesn't dawdle eit … SHOES! She stops, looking in the window at shoes that cost almost as much as they are getting paid today for this little adventure.

Noting the men Hunni too drifts into the crowd, alternating between a little bit ahead and varying distances behind. Blending into the crowd isn't exactly new to her although usually it's with a collapsed high-powered sniper rifle in a bag or case. Here she's only got her concealed pistol to reassure her as she keeps an eye out for more signs of followers.

Knowing about the jammer and a quick check via that sub-vocal proving that Tycho didn't have a better ECCM than the jammer, LP would pause, out of immediate sight of the blimp. Once that was done, he'd try to get Tycho's attention without being too obvious about it and if it works, does a quick try at sign, to point out they had a floater ahead of them.

«Plot» Tycho says, "can i see LP?"

«Plot» Simon says, "Yes"

Once the allure of the shoes is over, Savannah continues down the street. To all the world she's shopping and interacting as a normal every day citizen would, and maybe she is just doing that instead of paying attention. Nevertheless she'll continue down the block, alert for anything that looks like 'bad guys' that might want to do the massive ork wrong.

Tycho sees the gesticulations of lockpick down the street and movess so that the case he is carrying is positioned behind his body slighly, making it as out of veiw of the street blimp as he can make it without drawing attention to himself via hiding a danm briefcase. Tycho will also move as best he can to be non-challantly part of the small groups of poeple moving up and down the street, catching the heards of buisnessy traffic as he walks casually with his 50kg briefcase.

Are they watching you? Will they take action? So far nothing has happened. The pedistrian traffic moves in both directions, folks going about thier daily business. The cyber ork does get quite a few looks from the average person on the street, and a few people moving to the edge of the sidewalk to give the ork his personal space.

To (Savannah, Hunni, Frostlog), Simon pages: There is a man in a suit, elven male. He has been watching Savannah for a bit, and now seems to be following her. Occasionally he looks at Tycho, but his focus seems to be Savannah for now.

Huh. Savannah catches sight of something in a reflection off a perfectly /darling/ metallic purse and nods to herself. She'll consider her options on the street, looking here and there for a moment for a likley cafe or kiosk to quench her thirst. Low blood sugar is a horrible thing.

LP would note the shift in Tycho's reaction to his signing and give a nod. At least he could understood what was said. Across that com channel, sub vocal as LP would step out of the shadows just as smoothly as he had gone into them to catch up to that general 30 meters away from Tycho, he'd point it out to anyone who didn't see it. 'There's a floater up ahead.. looks like we got people scannin fer the package. Dunno how far away they're at.. and no gear ta try and stop it from messin with us. Try ta keep alert, wiz?' While Tycho might stand out, LP's whole life has been about blending in. Best way to not get caught, don't get noticed to start with.

If she could signal Hunni would have suggested to the others moving through a building or similar to try and shake the blimp. Not having such a luxury and with the possiblity it could be something else Hunni simply has to watch and wait, allowing the fond memory of blowing such a thing out of the sky with her rifle to bring a little smile to her lips.

Tycho stops for a moment at a street vendor to buy himself a cup of coffee. Taking a sip he alternates between turnign off the sensation o fthe biting denvro cold and turning on the sensation of the warm soycafe. Still progressign at a reasonble pace and watchign for his co conspiritors the large ork does his best to not get pulled over by FTZ security for no reason… again.

Nerves, its what keeps you alive in this game. Your reaction speeds, your noticing those things that stand out here and there. There are stories though, folks jumping at shadows, killing thier best friend when they freak over a noise. The question most often in your minds right now, are these things real threats, or imagined? Probably best to treat them as real, that blimp up ahead. The elf tailing Savannah. You've made some distance, but you have a ways to go still. If they are watching you, the question is, when are they going to take action. So far…..nothing has happened.

Starbucks! Savannah moves into the queue to get herself something refreshing and sweet, turning this way and that to check out the shops in the local area as well as Mr. Elf. She's not overly subtle about it, as benefiting her nature in any case. She'll break out the #3 smile at this point, making eye contact if she can but otherwise staying in line.

The elven male quickly gets in line right behind Savannah. If she looks his way, he smiles at her.

Close enough to where the blimp was at now, he'd do a casual sweep of the street, crossing from one corner to the next. If a blimp was here, then maybe there'd be a crew that was ready for if it spotted something. Potentially, he was blended well enough in with the group for it to not be too bad. However, taking a look around, LP couldn't shake the feeling it was a trap. He used both eyes and ears to scope as best as he could.

To (Simon, Frostlog), Savannah pages: Rachel will scan his aura, please, checking for his emotional state and so forth. We've linked senses, so what she sees I see and can possibly interp better.

To (Savannah, Frostlog), Simon pages: The guy seems calm, confident and….um….attracted to Savannah :)
From afar, to (Simon, Frostlog): Savannah noddles. Damn my good looks!

Hunni still drifts along with the rest for now. No direct threats nor tails on her as she can see. Always a good thing, perhaps she'll notice Savannah, if so she'll pause to look in a nearby shop window and hope the other woman gets out before Tycho gets too far ahead. The idea of leaving someone behind with potential threats following and watching the whole team isn't a great one.

Tycho continues down the cold december street flicing the numb in the back of his head on and off as he goes, savoring his coffee and fending off the cold. The large borg does stop and wait at the street crossing, pressing the little button and tipping his cup of coffee in greetign at a poor old woman also waiting at the intersection for the light.

As Savannah reaches the front of the line to order her coffee, the elven man steps into action. "I'll pay for that." He says to the barrista, trying to give his best charming smile to Savannah, ohh, wow, he has pheremones, cause he is just exhuding charm, literally. As for the rest of the team, the Blimp has not moved, its still staying stationary over that intersection. The team has no one on the ground following them yet, but that blimp can see down this road for a good distance.

Free frappacino AND a run? This is too good to be true. Savannah blushes and looks down, ignoring the repremand from her familiar spirit. She'll exchange pleasantries with the elven gentleman who was nice enough to buy her something, motioning to the side for a quick talk. She'll chance a glance down where she thinks Tycho is and sees no explosions; then again, this guy can bounce bullets off his chin and punch through cars. He should be OK for a few moments.

Wow, the elven male actually says he is an 'agent', and thinks she should try modeling. He has a card, but claims he has a small office, so she could call him directly. Um, yea right.

Getting a bit past it, he'd take a side street, glancing back to Tycho with a flashed 'scouting' in sign, he'd check a few side streets to try and get them off the main strip that blimp could see. It's one thing to be casual, it's another to push it. If he managed to find a good path to get them back on course among the high risers, without being in sight of the blimp, he'd circle back to direct Tycho.

To (Lockpick, Frostlog), Simon pages: As soon as you start down the sidestreet you spot them. Four men, matching suits, sunglasses, and bodys that say they workout alot more than a wageslave. They are standing next to a black sedan. One of them holding a hand to his ear, and apparently speaking into a comm.

Tycho waits calmly for the street olight, bag secure in his grip and then continues down the street when teh traffic stops. Keeping a eye on the blimp tycho continues calmly without giving it much mind, after all its only a 40 minute walk and he get a snazzy ten grand. Might as well enjoy the coffee.
Hunni has disconnected.

Pauses, as if he just forgot something, snaps his fingers and turns around to head back the other way. As soon as he could catch Tycho's attention, he'd shake his head, crossing the street with a flashed sign 'danger'. The trap was there, he knew it was there, that blimp was just the prep.. Crossing to the other side, a different side street would be checked as casually as he could. Now, how many were there?

Savannah will chitchat the man for a few minutes and take his number. A model? Wow! She isn't THAT naive, however, having heard that like at least 10 times her first week in the city. She'll make an excuse to leave and will start off again, pep in her step and eyes trained on the scene.

Tycho catches teh motion and stops leaning up against something and pulling out his pocket secretary, which has zero bars, and fidiling with it. he looks around to his other companions hopeing that someone will either come and fill him in or give him a better idea of what he is supposed to do.

The danger that LP saw has not moved yet. But then again, Tycho stopped moving too. Are there more? Is there another sidestreet with another danger hiding in it? Is this it? Seconds pass, and nothing happens yet. Ohh wait….the drone is moving off now, down another street and out of sight.

Seconds ticked by. It said as much on his eye. He'd move along that other side of the street, trying to scope out a bit further to see if he can find anything else. If he did find a clear set and with that blimp moving off, he'd wander back. If LP didn't notice anything, he'd stop as casually by Tycho as he stood there. "There's a car, 6 guys chummer. Not sure more details, I didn't go snoopin, wiz? I say keep movin." If he didn't note anyone else, he'd wander away again, trying to keep that casual gait.

Oblivious to the blimp drone or the car with the guys, Savannah continues down the street. I mean, Tycho probably weighs a lot, it'll be very noticeable if someone tries to run off with him. She'll continue along, window shopping and occasionally sending text or calls as she sees fit, all part of her cover.

Tycho nods once and then picks a side street that feels like it will work out and heads down that one, obviously avioding the street and direction of blimp and guys. After walking out of his way for about a block he will cut over and continue on the way to the pawn shop, keeping watch for anyone following and enjoying his coffee.

You manage to move over to the next paralell main road. You walk about a block up it when you hear a screeching of tires behind you. A black sedan pulls out quickly onto the street, heading in your direction.

«Plot» Tycho stands and hopes.
«Plot» Simon says, "Your choices include going into a parking garage, or a office building. There are no narrow alleys close to you."
«Plot» Simon says, "The office building does have obvious security guards in it."

«Plot» Tycho will calmly walk into the parking garage unless they start trying to run him down. when inside he will take the stars up to the second level and then dive out the parking garage on the street he was on before. once out of sight of the car tycho will move at a full sprint.

LP would look curiously at the car that seemed to take off after Tycho. A silent curse and as soon as it was past, he'd start his own run to try and chase after them. When Tycho went into the parking garage, he'd watch for potential followers, although he hasn't drawn yet, it looks like this is about to get hot, fast.

The car accelerates in your direction……..and drives right past the parking garage, moving up to another street and screeching its tires as it turns sharply off to the right.

Wow, that guy's moving pretty fast. Savannah glances to the fast moving car at the sound of screeching tires and steps back from the curb like any sane person. She'll shake her head and watch for the moment, listening to others talk about unsafe driving.

Tycho gets off the street at the screech or tiers, walking clmly into the parking garage on his side of the street before sprinting up the double flight of stairs and barreling through the door on the second level. as the car drives calmly down the street ignoring him, the fullborg cautiously walks back down the stairs and proceeds downt he street as if he hadnt been spooked at all.

LP loiters about for a moment.. just in case. Finally, as Tycho would appear back on the street, he'd start moving again, once more getting ahead of the ork to check out side paths and the like. The first spot could of been random.. or they just didn't want to get caught up in the building. Either way, he'd continue to keep it cool while trying to scout out more ahead once again. Just because that wasn't it.. doesn't mean they're scott free.

Maybe they are just going to watch? Maybe they will attack the pawn shop instead of you. The remainder of your trip is actually dull, and you reach the pawn shop. Wait, there it was again, could be that same blimp drone or another one, you can't be sure. Paranoia, its a bitch. You arrive at the pawn shop, and manage to drop off the briefcase, which gets shut away in a very large safe ni the back. You are given your credsticks without many words, and then, you done.

Given that no one is shooting and there are no police sirens, Savannah continues on her way down the block. She'll make a note to wear better shoes for the next walking adventure though.
