GM: Mirage
Players: Cypher
Synopsis: Cypher decides to follow up on an advertisment for a job. About three quarters ofthe way through the systems he gets worried and decides to bail with whatever he can grab.

Nightshade grumbles as Cypher selects one of the data crunching jobs, "Feh, alright, well if they turn out reliable pays you let me know and we'll see about rolling on one of their higher pay gigs."
Cypher gathers his things, then leaves the Big House. He heads into the CAS sector, and finds a Coffin motel on the outskirts of town, something in a particularly seedy area, but one with matrix access. He finds the listing via his pocsec. He then rents a room for the day and night, and then climbs into his coffee and starts setting up.

Cypher raises a hand on his icon, and reaches out to open the door in front of him. He steps through it without setting off any alarms, and emerges into the CAS LTG. Data packets wizzing by as blurs of light, he looks around, then waves his hand again to bring up a search terminal.

Cypher starts filtering through the images on the small screen in front of him. He sends his Agent to assit in the task of sifting through data until he finally, after what seems like years in the trix, discovers the location of MacVehy Heavy Industries.
Cypher curses slightly since he doesnt have an MSP account for CAS Texas RTG, and then waves a hand, dismissing the terminal. He raises his fingers to his lips and whistles. A moment later a taxicab appears and he climbs in the back. He pulls out a blank card and hands it to the driver. "CAS Texas RTG, thats my account there." The card shimmers as it tries to forge an ID.

Cypher spends some time explaining to the driver, that he needs to get to the CAS Denver RTG, then he lurches as the cab makes the jump. Once there, he quickly calls up a terminal and finds the node that will take him to CAS Texas RTG, then gives directions to the driver, along with his fake ID. In a matter of moments, he steps out of the cab in the CAS Texas RTG

Cypher waves a hand, calling up a new terminal, and looking for signs of the MAcVehy access node, the PLTG has to be around here somewhere.

Cypher steps through a nearby arch and into the Commercial District. He glances around, then waves a hand to bring up another terminal and starts looking for the access node to the PLTG.

Cypher finds what he is looking for, then starts walking down the street until he reaches a building. He reaches for the front door, and pulls on it.

Cypher finishes doing his searches, finding the elevator he wants now, he approaches a bank of them. He selects the one, and waves a card past the ID reader. The doors open and he steps in, pressing a button. The doors close, he rides for a moment, and then the doors open and he steps out onto another floor.

Cypher frowns and shakes his head "More hosts, I'll be here all day. Screw this." he mutters and starts scanning for anything valuable. He grimaces as nothing really useful comes up, but decides a little profit is better than none.

Cypher scans the access log quickly, and frowns as a data bomb is read. He switches to a different tool, and attempts to defuse the databomb from the file so he can safely take it and make something off this job.

Cypher finishes his work, getting the file cleaned, then downloading it to his deck. At that point, its time to leave. He logoff, then jacks out of the trix. He leaves his coffin motel and heads back to his apartment. Putting a call in to his info broker to see if he can sell this data.

Cypher logs onto the trix and arranges a meet with Simon, he hands over the data and simon makes a small transfer to Cyphers account. Cypher then heads back off the trix, gathers his stuff, and goes to have a beer at the big house.
