Synopsis: Several Runners have been set up, and have to fight their way out of a trap!

It had been going so well. The meet with the Johnson had been perfect. A polite suit in the back of a smokey bar, two big friggin troll bodygaurds. The money had been fantastic. Take this package, deliver it to 'X' spot in the Warrens, wait for it to be picked up. It had been going great! The drop point had been in an old schoolhouse, long abandoned…
And then, as the party had been waiting, the driver blew up. Poor old Slick and his sweet-ass ride, smoking in the night. Then the gunfire had come in, from all sides. The runners had done their best, but they were hemmed innow, each behind various bits of cover… fighting for their lives against their three remaining enemies, unhurt… fighting with the cold, cruel expertise of a mercenary squad.
Cutter grunts with the pain, his one good leg pushing his back up against his cover, his body slipping around in the slick blood that was still leaking from his badly bandaged wound. In his hands he begins reloading his shotgun, now slick and shiny with his blood, fumbling with the loose shells. "Auugghh. Fuck!" He cranes his head around, cursing, trying to get a bead on the opfor.

Wastelander hunkers down behind the overturned school table, bleeding heavily from the side of the head… a nasty bullet had nearly taken his head off, instead just getting the tip of his ear. "This is a pickle and no mistake," he mutters. "Shoulda never left the jungle." He finishes reloading his rifle and looks up at the cieling. "Figure we'll make it out of here alive?"
Tailpipe blows out a black cloud of smoke, sucking on the nub of a nearly burnt out cigar as she pulls a few shells out from within her vest and loads up few rounds into her MGL. "Being sucking it up, pussy boys." She says, winking at them as if their incipent deaths meant nothing to her…which is probably true, for anyone that's run with her before. With a click, the MGL's rotary clip closes as she hoists the large weapon in her hands. "Is thinking, time to give them something to worry about."

Cutter grunts as he forces himself to turn, pushing his Mossberg shotgun up over his turned over desk. Sighting the handy laser onto one of the shotgun wielding psychos that was trying to take them down. The thing roars, it's gas venting diverting gases around to keep the barrel stable. The choke on the thing set so low as to create a mass cloud of metal slivers firing right at him.
The armour worn is shredded up as the guy takes some serious damage from all that metal, and Cutter sags back down behind his cover, clutching at his leg.

Tailpipe lets out a blood-curdling roar of rage as a few rounds smash into her, exploding across her armored skin and leaving some serious bloody wreckage. "Gonna stuff your head up your asses fer that!" She yells even as she scoots lower into cover to try and buy enough time to open up a shot against them.

Cutter shrugs down under his desk as a shotgun slug comes flying above him. Smacking into the wall and smashing chuks out of it to rain down on Cutter. "Auuggggghhhhh! I'll fuckin' gut you!" The wounded ork screams, and right after that he gets smacked, another slug right through the desk taking him in the side of the chest. The grunt of pain is just a wordless cry as he rolls over grabbing his chest.

Wastelander's face is burning from the wound, but he's keeping it up. "MOTHERFUCKERS!" He calls. "I shoulda stayed in bugcity!" He rises from behind cover long enough to squeeze off a savagely aimed bullet, the explosive-tipped round digging into the middle of the flag and driving the target back… it SHOULD have been a killshot. Right on target… why won't motherfucker drop?

Tailpipe pops up from behind her miniscule bit of cover, the launcher coming up with her as she snaps off a shot. "PHOOMPH", the distinctive sound of the grenade leaving the barrel fills the room, and the blinding white phosphorus grenade shoots forth…and sails past the people she was aiming for to splatter just outside the doorway. An unintended side effect is that it splatters all over the Assault gun weilding merc, burning through his armor and clothing like it wasn't there and sending him to the ground with a few blood curdling screams as he tries to put out the fires that start forming on him.
A second 'phoomph' follows the first, but TP's aim is a bit shakey on it, and the grenade ends up bouncing off the wall the shotgunners are hiding behind and rolling back towards the beleaguered defenders, going off with a disorinting THUMP and hitting them with a massive pressure wave. Tailpipe simply takes it like a breeze on a warm day as she yells at them. "Fraggers die like little girls! Gonna take yer spines and use them as my personal dildos!"

Cutter closes his eyes and puts his hands over his ears as the grenades start going off. That turns out to have been a good idea when he takes a solid blast from a concussive grenade. With his eyes wide and his head ringing he groans. Turning and poking the shotgun up over his cover again, firing the meaty thing in burst, loud and menacing. The massive cloud of flechettes showers the remaining enemies, taking one down hard, while the other is mostly saved by his armor. "Arrrrgh, die already!" Cutter takes a leaf out of Tailpipes book.

Cutter is on a roll, right after filling the one mercernary with lead flechette, he turns his aim to the remaining one. "Rawwwrrrr!" The ork, who thinks he's a human growls, firing both remaining shells form his shotgun at the hapless merc. The showers of shards cover the walls with twinkling stars, reflecting the white phos fire there. Of course they also fill the meat bodies of the two mercs now lay bleeding their life out onto the floor. "MY leg fuckin' HURTS!" Cutter yells, as he slumps back, empty, blood slicked shotgun lay in his lap.
Wastelander waits behind his cover, listening, ready to throw a grenade… and there's silence. Except for the blood leaking out of the runners, of course. "Boys, I think we been…"
And then there's a high-pitched whine coming from the 'package,' and the chicago-born ork is suddenly staggering at top speed for the nearest window!

«OOC» Wastelander takes a moderate from the Boom. now at serious. all the windows on -that- side of the schoolhouse blow out, boards and all. Cutter is safe, takes no damage.
Tailpipe is in bad shape, blood dripping from some big wounds along her shoulders and chest as the last gunman goes down. She turns and flops to the ground next to the package that they had worked so hard to protect, giving it little heed until it starts making it's own sounds. And boy does that make things happen, watching for a moment as both the guys with her suddenly run for windows and dive out of them, despite being on the second floor. "F'k'n amatuers.." she says with a pained grumble, taking the package in hand and simply tossing it over her shoulder in the direction of one of the opened windows, the package falling just short but managing to bounce and roll enough to carry it out into the open space beyond the windowsill. The explosion is little more than the grenade from earlier for her, feeling worn as she is and gives no thought to the guys she just chased out with it.
Cutter doesn't so much as run but instead limps effeminately towards a window, throwing his shoulder into the window and then rolling over the ledge, falling, falling down towards the gorund so far away.
Wastelander is still in the air when the case blows up, and the wave of the explosion slams him into the ground, hard, the night lit brightly by the brilliant flames. "Ow…" he moans. "Ow ow ow. Ow. Bingo bango bongo…"
Cutter has his own extra special oh shit 'O' face on as the package beeps. A look around and he spots the other Ork just dropping out a window. Deciding that is a good idea Cutter copies, at not so much as run but instead an effeminate limp towards a window, throwing his shoulder into the window and then rolling over the ledge, falling, falling down towards the gorund so far away.
Tailpipe struggles to her feet, a bloody looking mess, all the more pissed off because of it as she shoulders the MGL and pulls a shotgun from its holster on her back. Easier to shoot people with if they give her shit. And a bloody pissed off looking troll isn't one to be trifled with unless someone really wants a bad day. So with that, she works her way back outside, looks at the other pair a moment before saying. "Is going to crash out. Later, gonna wear strapon and show J what it is to be on fucked side of deals."
Cutter thuds to the debris strewn ground, with a grunt. "Awww, gawd. What the fuck…. was that." Blinking his eyes he pushes himself up on his good arms, looking around to spot Wastelander. "What the fuck?" Struggling, he gets up, blood dripping from his leg and chest, shotgun clattering around on it's sling in front of him.
As Tailpipe appears she looks over and nods, "Damn right. I'll be there with you, ready to take a turn fucking him with this." And she holds her shotgun out, to show off her own dildo.
Wastelander is slowly staggering to his feet. "I dunno…" he murmurs. "I know I feel like hell." His arms slump a bit. "After we… recover… we need… reven…" he stops mid word, and points with a finger. "That's what's going on. We were sold out." His eyes narrow. "Fucking Cunt."
He's pointing to the wreckage of the party's driver's van… one big panel, still smoldering, has been spraypainted:
