Synopsis: A synopsis of what happened here.
Date: December 2070
The call came in the early afternoon, the middle of the night to most runners from a varying array of contacts, fixers, talking anthropomorphic rats or what have you. The message was simple and variations of the same thine. "6:15 pm, that restaurant on top of McAffery Towers, Conference Room B, try to be bathed."
Dalton chuckles faintly at the contact, and then starts to get out of bed and get dressed. He puts on his usual clothing, but then prepares a physical mask to make it look a bit more acceptable to the Palatine Summit. He heads out, making his way through checkpoints and into the UCAS sector, then parks at a parking garage near the towers. He walks the last few blocks and then rides the long elevator ride to the top, arrive perhaps 20 minutes early. He walks up to the Maiter Dee and informs him that he is to be in Conference Room B.
Carpenter does much more than bathe when he goes all the way downtown, to a triple AAA area, in a AAA building. He at least has one laundered and pressed tres chic outfit, a well cut suit that cost a few thousand 'yen, as well as a rather nice coat. A bit of hesitancy over the weapon he was carrying, before including it, as well. "Bloody cautious." He mutters, before, after a short park and tube ride over through the zones, ends up at the top floor, straightening his coat. He'll only ask where Conference room B is, before nodding, and walking forward, into it.
Bunnie heads out, needing to get some experience and money together for herself. She sets her armor to dark grey, and saunters over to the McAffery Towers. She doesn't have any weapons, as the scans would show, and steps on the elevator, heading for the penthouse, and Conference Room B.
Nightshade laughs as her fixer passes her the details, "Stage Perilous? This best pay well, the cred it takes just to get into that place is more than some of the jobs you've offered me in the past." Despite her jibe she gets herself dolled up, pulling out her nice dress and heading for the meet, she gets there very early, so she has time to wait through the line to get in.
Sasha catches the phone between crunches, listening with only short bursts of breath as she continues to work out. She'll grunt her agreement to the job and hang up, going back to what she was doing. After another blistering half hour of body work, the woman will head off to rinse the sweat off and get ready. Close to the meeting time she'll step out of a private cab and towards the McAffery Towers, dressed in a nice skirt and blouse, though no where near tres chic. The requisite ride up the elevator takes little time, and with that she'll look around and make her way to the right destination.
Vera had cheered - the water in the Crank wasn't so bad, and boiling it during the brief time of the day the power was working rewarded her with a plastic trash bin half full of relatively clean, tepid water in order to bathe in. So she is not doing too badly, all told, and she puts on her suit in the bathroom of a metro station. This is a pretty high-powered black number with a well-tailored blazer that shows off an amount of cleavage just still on the side of tasteful. She arrives on time, jamming out a cigarette on the pavement, a bag over her shoulder that carries only a Pocsec and her tightly rolled change of clothes. And, of course, her makeup.
Aeden mutters something about security, but otherwise doesn't comment on the matter. He drives to a truck stop style place to find a place to stash his Roadmaster first, and second to make use of the showers they have there. After that, he gets dressed in clothes he can only hope will pass and gets a ride to down town in an air taxi.
The runners would be shown as they arrived to Conference room B, an amazingly simple room of a long oval real wood table with leather chairs about it. One wall of the room a polarized glass and bulletproof window to the outside, showing a nice view of the Denver Skyline. It was currently empty, and very quiet outside of the buzz of white noise. A glass of water set out at each setting, and a tumbler next to it. Several bottles of fine spirits in buckets or just sitting there in the middle of the table.
Dalton looks around the conference room, then makes his way to a chair and takes a seat, about midway along the table. He keeps his gaze on the astral plane as everyone arrives, taking a moment to assense each other runner and try to penetrate masking, never can be too paranoid. Of course, he is masked himself.
Bunnie settles down on an ork-sized chair, and folds her arms. "H'lo" she says to the others. "I's Gunz" She says. Job or name, it's hard to tell. "Heer'd there be biz 'round"
Making her way into the conference room, Sasha enters and looks around immediately, cautiously assessing the area. She'll take a seat facing any entryway, looking at the water and tumbler with some distrust. Her eyes linger on Dalton for a moment, curiosity crossing her face for a quick second before vanishing under a neutral facade.'
Carpenter whistles softly as he enters the conference room, around the table, and mutters out loud. "Either th' job is somewhere close by an' in some place as nice as this, or it's 5000 miles away in some God-foresaken hell hole that contains somethin, valuable." He moves over to the class at one of the chairs, and then over to the bottles of spirits, picking out a scotch, before filling his glass just a little bit. "Just ya watch." His accent is quite workingclass English.
Nightshade took advantage of arriving two hours early and is happily flushed from her time on one of the hottest dance floors in the city, she steps in just behind Bunnie, glancing over at the Ork as she makes her pronouncement and nods, then looks over at Dalton, she squints at him as he peers at folks and she chides, "Don't be rude, or I'll tip them off that you're using x-ray specs to peek at their undies." She picks up one of the glasses of water and downs it, then selects one of the finer bottle of spirits, pops the top and sips at it as one might a beer bottle before prowling around the table selecting a spot at the head, or foot, hard to tell with ovals.
Aeden waddles into the room, much like any Dwarf moves when walking. He climbs his way into one of the seats, and sits with his arms resting on the table while he looks around at the others. To Carpenter, he shrugs. "Don't much care where it's at. Long as th' pay's good."
Bunnie says "Payz and reps, da'ts whatz runs is 'bout."
Dalton smiles faintly at Nightshade "Now now, who says I'm doing anything but taking a good look at my partners in crime for the evening." He waves a hand as if dismissing the notion as absurd
Vera moves into the conference room as well, checking the flow of her hair with her palm lightly as she enters, looking like…well, at least a few thousand nuyen. Totally acceptable. She dips her head politely to Sasha as she sees the athletic woman enter as well, and she offers a smile to Dalton. She picks up a glass and heads over to Carpenter, giving a smile before speaking - in an accent suggestive of years of uniform skirts, blazers, and strict schoolmistresses. "Would you be so kind?" she asks, hoping to get a nice tumbler of scotch as well. "Indeed. Just a touch vulgar, isn't it? To be expected of the heart of American corporatism, I suppose."
Sasha glances to Nightshade when she chides Dalton, gaze moving to take in the man thereafter. She frowns ever so slightly at him before offering a nod to Vera. She waits patiently for their employer to arrive.
Carpenter shurgs to the responses, for the moment, before looking at Bunnie mildly, somewhat akin to wondering if she had something a bit more classy to say. "Well, I 'appen t' care. Wrong areas lead t' bad things. Like 'ell if I'm gonna go int' South East Asia for anything less than one hundred thousand." He looks over to Vera, eyebrows going up in suprise, before handing his own just poured tumbler to Vera, and pouring himself another one. "A bit ostenatious, I'll give ya that. Not a bad place, though; says th' J's lookin' for professionals, holding it in a place like this. An' ya ever been t' the IWS offices? Somethin' similar. Similar everywhere… Greens, for instance, though they just do it with large stones an' chanting."
Nightshade waves her bottle at Dalton after glancing at Vera, "Heh, you're lucky I warned ya off your peeping ways or you'd be on the floor, drooling and twitching." She takes another sip, then grumbles and stands, "Can't stand these chairs, it's like having someone pinch your bottom without giving you the satisfaction of smacking someone around a bit." She moves over to stand near to one of the walls leaning against it.
At 6:20 pm on the dot, the conference door opened and in entered three men. The first was the most obvious, he less carried himself with, as much as exuded authority. Barrel chested and with the look that he arm wrestled trolls at some point before his breakfast, that would be at precisely at oh four hundred, and would consist of two eggs, toast and a bit of steak, medium rare. His nose has been broken so many times it no longer clinged to a shape rather than a mass, and powder scars freckled the left side of his face like a five o'clock shadow that didn't exist on the other side of his face. His clothing was prim, and military proper, boots, slacks, and a black button up shirt that seemed to display the firewatch emblem with such pride that it would seem like it gave the man some sort of super powers. Her certainly did not seem to need his guards, especially not the smallish acne faced read headed boy to his side that held up his arm and passed it over the room before declaring "Room's clean sir.". A nod from the large man as he reached out with a gleaming metal arm to pull out a chair for himself. "At ease, I'm Colonel Johnson."
Dalton goes silent at the entrance of the Jay for the evening. He says nothing, merely turns in his chair so he can observe the Jay, and while completely masked he assenses the jay and his entourage, meaning, you cant tell it unless you penetrate his masking, so nya.
Turning in her seat, Sasha folds her hands on the tabletop and waits for the business at hand, her personal feelings about magicians peering at secrets put on the side burner. She waits, her expression set for just this side of Neutral Bored, a polite attentive smile on her face not unlike you'd give a teacher while awaiting lecture.
Bunnie just looks interestedly at the J and his boy. She doesn't say anything, it's not her place. She raises an eyebrow at the "Col." part of the J's name, but it's all right. She looks left and right to see how the others are reaction. "Sir" she says, quietly.
Nightshade pushed off the wall to stand straight when the Colonel entered, then leaned back against it when he gave the 'at ease' taking another sip of her bottle.
Vera brings her glass to her lips, making a toasting motion and giving a friendly smile to Carpenter, and turns to give her fully attention to the bulky man. "A pleasure, Colonel," she replies. She certainly doesn't seem to consider herself under military discipline. And if that was what was called for…why, the meeting wouldn't even be happening.
Carpenter looks to the side as the group enters, eyes drawn rather quickly to the commander of the delegation. A quick look over his clothes does seem to indicate a military bent, if the attitude didn't already give it away. He gives a nod to Vera in departure, and moves back to his seat. "Of course, Colonel. Not t' be rude, but I consider it an important point; Ranks usually have a supplement of a unit or organization attached. An' I think we'd all want t' know if we were doin' jobs for a state."
Aeden leans back in his seat when the others walk in, and gives them a brief nod… smirking when he notes the precise timing of their entrance on his retinal clock. He otherwise remains quiet, letting the Colonel get to business before opening his mouth.
Bunnie rolls her eyes, at grilling the J even before the job is thrown out.
The man reached across the table with his metal arm, the right, grabbing the bottle of bourbon amongst the spirits, popping it to pour the brown liquid into his tumbler, before setting the bottle down within easy reach. "Knight Errant, nor it's parent company is under the jurisdiction of any state, as by the rulings in Seretech vs the State of New York, and Nuclear Regulatory Commission v. Shiawase Corporation. You are here to work for me, are we clear?" His meat arm motioned "Stiggens.", the motion and word obviously corresponded to the acne faced boy to his left. The acne faced boy who had currently locked his eyes onto Sasha, and was from the looks of it playing some scene out of "Eclipse: Shadowgal for hire" in his head with different actors. "STIGGENS!" The mans metal arm came crashing down onto the conference table, causing a shuddering of the wood, which in turn knocked the boy out of his daydream. "Uh-sorry sir. One moment!" The acne one quickly rushed over to the table, and opened up a briefcase he was carrying, inside was a file folder and a screen. The J spoke again. "I am sure you are wondering why you have been called."
Carpenter eyes the metal arm, and nods. "Fair enough. Leaves some more questions, but I've jumped too much as it is." He takes a sip of the scotch, eyes darting over to the acne'd faced functionary as he's addressed, grimacing, but not saying anything, at the unprofessional attitude- Before jumping a bit himself as the hand comes heavily down on wood. He quickly covers for it, nodding to the J. "Th' settin' 'as peeked my interest on th' subject, Sir."
Dalton says nothing, merely watches the figures from behind his sunglasses. His hands lay relaxed in his lap, his posture a bit casual, almost too casual, one of his fingers idly taps his leg.
Sasha watches the interaction between the Colonel and Carpenter, then the boy, apparently not noticing his staring or at least not reacting to it. She will, however, give Carp a look that quite clearly illustrates her opinion on all the questions.
"I assumed it's to do something nasty for a large amount of money," Vera replies. "I'm just curious about the particulars," she replies, offering a small smile to the man. She dials down her usual playfulness…she is now remaining crisp and businesslike.
"Thought'd crossed my mind a time or two," Aeden says to answer the Colonel's question. "Well, why we're here, an' what kinda cred yer talkin'. Course, one depends highly on th' other. But that can wait." The dwarf shrugs a bit, tilting his head to stretch his neck while doing so.
Bunnie crosses her arms and waits for the J to get to the point. "No, Sir. We here to consider workin' f'yas"
Nightshade glances down at her bottle of spirits, takes another sip, then moves over to the table picking up another bottle, popping the top and pouring some from the second into the first, she puts her thumb atop the bottle and gives it a few swirls then moves back over to the wall with her cocktail.
Stiggins tapped the screen once, a series of videos coming on the screen. Each one showed an aerial view of convoys of trucks all bearing the Ares logo being attacked by a group of men and women on bikes, including in at least one video a toyota pickuptruck with a LMG. The Colonel started to talk explaining as it were. "I-70, my corporations trucks have been being hit, four raids in the past two weeks, two trucks lost, three casualties. Now High command, in it's infinite wisdom has declared that I am to put a stop to this with whatever resources necessary, however in the same line, barred me from using any strike teams to root the attackers out. This forces me to work with some people I would rather not patronize. We all on the same page now?"
Dalton nods his head, but does nothing else to change his posture or appearance, his finger still tapping on his thigh.
The J nodded, not really waiting for everyone's approval. "All the information you need on the target is in that briefcase. Including a coded number for a Zurich Orbital account. When I can confirm the completion of the mission, 84,000 nuyen will be transferred into. I want those attacks stopped, and an example made to the rest of the go-gangs. With extreme prejudice. Understood?"
Carpenter watches the short video, and listens to the description. He frowns a bit, before leaning back. "Understood, in general. You want us t' destory their ability t' wage war aganist ya." He pauses. "Two questions. First, rights a' salvage. T' be clear, that's th' unit's entirely? Or not? Two, rules a' engagement. We may 'ave targets that surrender. Ya want prisoners or summaries?"
Watching the video and listening to the summary, Sasha nods to herself. She glances at Carpenter again as he speaks before her eyes land on the briefcase. She'll continue to sit quietly and let those already speaking ask any questions.
Bunnie shake sher head. "We offshal, or we goin in not cover'd. And what about brekage. You approvin' breckage.
From afar, Dalton nods "Good point."
For Aeden's part, he's quiet again. Carpenter seems to be taking the lead in question asking, and until they get up to specifics about opposition and tech stuff, the dwarf's attention is best turned elsewhere. Like… data. He reaches out in an attempt to get a chip or something to be able to review the information that's been collected for them.
"I want examples soldier. All targets are to be considered Unlawful combatants under military law. Frankly I don't care what you do with them, they've sent three good boys home in boxes. Estimated numbers at twenty to thirty. And should you somehow fuck this up that bad, I have never seen any of you, and have seventeen medals from desert wars. On top of that, I will make it my very personal hobby to make sure I find every one of you and send you to said desert wars under the command of Stiggins as an assault group." Stiggins suddenly perked up "M-me sir!?"
Nightshade glances at the case, then back at the Colonel, "Info on the contents of the four trucks that were hit in the case?" She asks, "Cause I assume they're going to be armed with whatever it was."
«Plot» Melani says, "For Aeden's benefit, since he is looking, the folder in the briefcase contains a lot of aerial photos, and some more for ground level. Red 13 gang, named because they operate out of old Fire Station 13 in the Rens, estimated numbers again, 20-30, declared as Francs-tireurs by the colonel himself it appears in the notes. Small arms, mostly pistols and SMGs, at least one support weapon. You have a pretty good look at the firehouse from aerial, looks pretty standard. Deep in the Z zone."
Carpenter gives a curt nod. "Murder, attempted murder, conspiracy t' commit murder, piracy… we'll 'ave pleanty t' work with when it comes t' puttin' bullets in 'eads." He pauses at the estimate, palling slightly… before nodding. "Good team, 'ere. Professionals. Don't think we'll 'ave too much trouble with that." He cocks his head. "Really, sir? Always wanted t' be on the trid, ya know, an' Stiggins there seems like th' type that'd lead t' battlefield promotions about two second after th' enemy starts firin' mortars." He raises his hand. "But I got th' point, sir. It will be unpleasant, an' you don't look th' type t' bluff. At all." He gives a slight nod Nightshade.
"The contents of the trucks have been declared beyond salvage. Ares, not one of ours, probably moved by now, none of it military supplies."
Vera tilts her head, glancing down at the briefcase. "Colonel, I'm sure you've had to haggle about procurement and equipment for your people through extremely unfriendly groups. And, while I understand that you go to war with what you have, not what you want, you and I both know that the person signing the checks has his own goals. Now you're on the other side of that arrangement, Colonel. And we'll take the job, and give you absolute confident that you won't be sending any more of your boys home. But in order to properly invest what we need to come out of this as we should, we're going to have expenditures. A figure of twenty thousand apiece, for this job, seems most appropriate. It's a warzone you're sending us into, after all."
Military talk. Sasha keeps her expression blank as the Colonel and Carpenter go through the motions, turning her head as Vera starts to lay it on. She hmms and settles back, information streaming across her heads up display as she waits for the talking to stop and the mission to begin.

Dalton finally turns to look at Vera as she begins to negotiate with the Jay, he watches her for a moment, then looks back to see how the Jay will respond to the request for more money.
The man looked to Vera for a moment, then back to Stiggens, who was on the ball this time despite Sasha "Two hundred thousand per truck sir, plus the cost of funerals." The head turned back then, an odd look as the J didn't seem to actually have a neck. "One hundred and five thousand, in the account. You do my boys justice."
Eh? The talking stopped. Sasha glances to the others to see what the hang-up is and why they are still in this Gods forsaken place.
Aeden finds a chip and slots it into a pocsec so he can begin reading stuff. Or more acctuately, braining-things, via the datacable leading from the pocsec to his datajack. His attention is more there than the whole haggling conversation. Not really his job to do any of that, anyway. Plus, all this surveilance gives hima chance to start the drone planning.
Carpenter gives a nod. "15 thousand seems reasonable for th' job described, per person, if we 'ave salvage."

Bunnie waits to see if the money is acceptable to the others. She slides over, and looks over the information about the gang provided. She wonders if there's any demo available. "Dere any boomex we'se can get hands on?"
Dalton glances at the others now, after the Jay has upped his price, he waits his turn with the data, still remaining casually in his seat, looking all chill and drek.
Vera smiles. "Thank you, Colonel. I am pleased to accept at that price." She glances left and right, to her fellow runners, after having managed to edge the price up a bit. Let's see…25 percent increase. Not too terrible. She has nothing further to say, now that she's done part of her job - for the rest of it, she expects that she'll just be expected to be placed as a skirmisher.
The man grunted a little "I don't care what you take off thier bodies, and I ain't in the habit of arming my oposistion if you don't mind." And with that the man stood, brushing our any errant wrinkles from his slacks turned for the door. "Get it done."
Nightshade glances over at Bunnie, "Do you know how to use explosives in a controlled manner, or do you just like lobbing grenades about?" She asks, skimming through the paperwork she looks towards the Colonel, "I'm sure it's in here, but what's our timeframe before folks start asking questions about how you're getting things done?"
The J paused at the door "I'd prefer it within three days."
Bunnie shrugs, and smiles. "I's in"
Nightshade glances back at Bunnie, "Yeah, we can do explosives if you want to pay for them."
Dalton nods "Sounds acceptable." he says finally, then merly looks over at the data, waiting.
Three days. Sasha nods to that, looking over to the cluster around the data. Plenty of time to take a look at it, so she'll keep her place in the chair and wait, taking in the information that is floating around the room.
Carpenternods, curtly. "Sir." He says simply, before standing up, and checking his watch. He'll wait for the J to leave before raising his voice.
Carpenter says "All right, we 'ave a conference room, we're not likely t' be disturbed, an' we got a WNG hummin', I say we get some organization done.""
Dalton looks around at the others "I suppose our first order of business is recon. I suppose I can do some of that, at least learn if they have magical assets to thier name."
Vera pauses back, the tenseness of her negotiating done. "Well, that could have gone worse," she remakes, giving a smile around to the others. She is content to watch the planning and learn as much as she can - with her street background, she doesn't know much about actual tactics beyond what distortions she gets from movies and trid games.
Carpenter shurgs. "We got any UAVs on call? Some bloody spell a' some sort?"
"Well, for recon," Vera says. "I've developed an in that has seemed to work sometimes. I can pass pretty well as off-duty corp security, maybe slumming it and looking to buy some cheap party favors. I've been able to collect some interesting intel that route. Could carry even a camera on me, or even place some. It's risky, but I usually can bluff my way through - make them think it's better to have me as a repeat customer than anything else."
"Got a few UAVs. Not all that well armed, but decent enough," Aeden says. "Can definately get some more up-to-date recon goin' with 'em. An' I can send in some fire support."
Bunnie says "I's does da shootins. Dat's what I's done. Be on da overwatch wit m/gunz.""
Listening to the various runners put in their two nuyen on recon, Sasha nods in agreement and stays where she is, though she is clearly paying attention. She doesn't appear to have anything to add at the moment, keeping quiet.
Carpenter grimaces, and finally looks over to Bunnie. Not down, because she has quite the height advantage. "All due respect, but I can barely bloody understand you. Ya shoot, I know that much. We'll use that." He looks back over to Aeden, before nodding. "Can ya 'ave them loiter above standard small arms range, get a lay a' th' area? I'd rather not send in any humint, given th' number an' proclivities a' fraggin' anarchists."
Dalton smiles "I can astrally project and scan the place, get us a headcount of whos inside before we go in, find anything magically active inside as well. If they lack magical support, this shouldn't be too difficult, its just catching enough of them at home thats the problem."
In a quiet voice, Sasha finally comments, "Burn and or blow down their little home and kill everything that comes out. The rest will burn or smother in the wreckage." She speaks in an almost bored monotone, relating the comments like you would a grocery list.
Dalton nods "Good safe idea, but you can't sell off the motorcycles that way. Its a thought though."
Nightshade looks up from the data file when Sasha speaks and says, "Seconded." then goes back to reviewing the layout.
Aeden nods. "Limited flight time. An' I ain't got a way t' feed you data on who's movin' where, or anything like that. Workin' on it, but that drek's expensive."
Carpentergives a nod over to Sasha. "I'd bring it to a vote if this was a democracy. It's a smart move, an' it acommplishes our objective. I'm not too interested in salvage. So, we can combine recon. Do an astral sweep, an' 'ave a drone take over th' area. track when they've got a good amount in, and then pelt the place with white phousphorous from range."
«Plot» Nightshade says, "Any information in the data files on times places when most of the members are together?"
«Plot» Melani says, "Seems With the time lapse photos: They seem to be in and out during the late morning through the day, always a few sentrys posted. Raid-strike time seems to evening. With them coming in during mid-to late night with little activity at that point."
«Plot» Melani says, "This place is deep in the Z zone, from first glance, it seems the most likely reason the Colonol couldn't get authorization for a strike, is simply because of the risks of getting uniformed KE into posistion that deep by ground, and the somolia effect if they tried by air. Better to use disposable assets that fit into the area. The benefit of this is that from the looks of it, anything less than a small scale war with military equipment will most likely make the sec forces go "Eh, fuck it.""
Having interjected, Sasha seems spent, simply nodding to Carpenter's commentary and not answering about salvage. She seems not to care about it, if her attitude is any indication. She'll go back to quietly listening.
Bunnie says "Well, I can fight overwatch with my LMG. I don't believe I can snap off riders from bikes, but likely I can drop a leader in a narrow area, causing a pile up. Is that better, then? Speaking Forked-tonguewise?"
Carpenter raises an eyebrow over to Bunnie. "Much better, in terms a' launguage an' armamant. T' be honest, I prefer th' 'eavy stuff. I suggest volume a' fire answer this challenge."
Bunnie says "no problem can't be solved by judicious placement of sufficient firepower."
Dalton goes quiet for now, he offered his bit, and now he just listens to the others, apparently it was going to be a big firestorm, and that didn't bother him too much.
"It might be a silly suggestion, but I am only offering my instinct. I fight with a pair of pistols, perhaps more effectively than that would sound. Perhaps I could act as light support for one of you heavy types, prevent you from getting jumped at close quarters?" Vera suggests.
Aeden nods. "Got my own way t' add to th' chaos if that's what we're goin' for, but… I'd prefer something a bit less likely to get us killed when th' other gangs hear all the shootin' and want in on a chance t' shoot stuff."
Nightshade pushes herself away from the table, "Meh, this is overkill, way too many cooks in this soup. If any of you-all would rather have me here than see your paycheck raise lemme know, otherwise I'm going to go enjoy the music."
Carpenter grumbles a bit to Aeden. "I don't like steathy commando raids. I prefer, as th' good lady 'ere suggests, judicious placement a' sufficent firepower, which I beleive we've got in spades. I want t' be quick, violent, and effective, before pullin' back." He looks over to Vera, and nods. "You're with me, then. Stay behind cover, an' just watch for those gettin' close. I can't fight well enough in a harness.
Dalton turns to regard Nightshade, and then shrugs at her and waves.
Vera pulls back, turns to Nightshade. "I'd rather to have you here than letting my paycheck raise," she says to the graceful little (hey, relatively) troll. She glances at Dalton, rather increduously, for a second. "Pity. I'd thought you rather handsome the other day."
Dalton smiles at Vera "I'm in my work disguise."
Carpenter looks over to Nightshade and nods. "We aren't cooking a souffle. We're killing people. I /prefer/ overkill."
Sasha waits quietly as the others discuss the subject back and forth. They still have enough time left on the clock so she stays quiet, perhaps unwilling to rock the boat.
Bunnie waits for the plan to develop. "If you don't want shooting, i'm not terribly effective. None of my gats are silenced, though"
Nightshade shrugs, "As you like it then, shall we gather up with our gear tomorrow then?" She looks at the photos for a likely building or location far enough away not to be noticed, close enough to be effective on the maps.
«Plot» Melani says, "Nightshade, quite a few places, lots of even in the rens, abandoned buildings and rubble."
«Plot» Melani says, "None of them particularly comfortable or safe mind you. But it's an urban jungle. You could probably hide standing in some of the potholes."
Carpenter gives a nod, and stands up. "We'll 'ave th' next meetin'…" He looks at the map, pointing to a building off to the side, and looking to Nightshade questioningly. "Here? Use it as a staging area, gather gear, an' set up deployments.
Dalton stands up, and looks over at the map to see where Carpenter is pointing.
Having now both conducted a moderately successful negotiation -and- found herself a place in the order of battle, Vera leans back a bit to enjoy her Scotch. She smiles to Nightshade, and then just remains quiet, paying attention to the planning.
Glancing to the map and the location indicated, Sasha nods quietly and moves to rise herself, one hand going to smooth out her skirt as she rises fluidly. She'll wait several heartbeats to see if anything else of import is said before starting towards the exit.
Nightshade walks over to the end of the table with the bottles of spirits and starts pulling them out lining them up on the table she pops the tops off of ten of them. "I travel light so any of those places." she points to the most likely, "Would work for me." She picks up the bottles. "Last one out pays for the drinks…" she says and moves to follow Sasha out the door.
Bunnie stands and follows out
Dalton chuckles faintly at Nightshade "I'll do my recon tonight and give you the details tomorrow when we meet up." He then starts for the door.
Bunnie just plans to have her equipment ready, and return tomorrow.
Vera is immediately on Nightshade's heels. She's poor enough already!
Nightshade starts passing out the bottles as she mixes in with the bar crowd, this might be an upscale bar but who's going to refuse free top shelf booze.
Like smoke, Sasha is gone once she exits the Conference Room, heading out of the 'good' part of town and into the shadows.
Nightshade walks through the streets of the Warrens, she's caught up on sleep and changed out of her club clothes into something she's more comfortable in, layers of body armor that ward off the worst of the cold. Her breath still leaves plumes of vapor between the clouds of smoke she sends up with her cig but it doesn't blut her mood as she walks along, towing a hard sided case on rugged wheels behind her she sing-songs lightly, "No, you can't get to heaven on my little red wagon, front wheel's broken, and the axle's draggin." For the most part the folks in the warrens don't trouble her, and she doesn't trouble them. As she leaves the orktown area she stops and casts a few low grade spells, just enough to alter her looks, then conjures up a city spirit and a wind spirit to ease her passage. "Ya ain't gonna grieve, my lord no more." She continues humming and singing as she strolls along. "No you can't get to heaven from a little lead fragging, messin' with me is as bad as a dragon…ya ain't gonna grieve me, lord, no more."
Bunnie arrives at the meet with her duffel and equipment set up. She waits for the others, ready to rock and roll. She makes sure ehr armor is dialed into a night-dancing grey, and her bag is st down with a metallic clink.
Dalton is standing on the roof of the world tree, he summons up 2 great form wind spirits, then 2 great form city spirits, then he climbs down into the World tree and conjures up 2 Great form Hearth Spirits. All of these at F5 with his tattoo on and trauma damper kicking in to give him the endorphins to not feel the pain. Once thats done, he asks them to wait for his call, and heads to his cot to lie down and prepare to survey the place. He steps out of his body, and heads to the site.
The party had discussed where to meet last night, some sort of out of the way position so they could sneak up on the poor unsuspecting gangers and do what needs to be done. Sasha's Ford is parked in front of the nearest drinking establishment in the area, the Rusty Nail, along with dozens of other vehicles and bikes and the like. She'll wait till closer to the meeting time before heading over, slinging her backpack. She'll even show up early after her last fiasco.
Carpenter checks the time hack up at the corner of his eye again, grumbling as he hefts the gyromount once more. He grimaces a little bit, raising his helmet up, as he seals up his gas mask. "Goddamn it, always get nervous at a time like this. Feel like th' bleedin' anarchists are gonna blow a wall up out in th' back an' catch us by suprise." He sighs a bit, affixing his mask, and clearing it, moving to comm through a small speaker attached to his transducer. "Oy, Amazon." He refers to Bunnie. "Ya bunkerin' or stayin' mobile?"
Bunnie smiles, and toes her duffel. "Get me a sniper spot, and I'm good. Not so much up close. I'm ok, just not hot.
Dalton zips over to the target building in his astral form, and starts poking around, he looks carefuly into each room before going inside, checking for wards, anyone awakened, things like that.
Vera's tagging with Carp. She's dressed and locked and loaded in her toughest, most extensive gear…which looks like she's out for a night in some sort of tough bars, maybe she'd be able to have a fistfight, but it's in her street jacket and a tank, with jeans and boots. Closer inspection might show that the jacket moves a little unnaturally at times, but she really does not look about to enter a gang warzone. She smiles at Carpenter, getting ready to cover him and look for any potential targets of opportunity. "Just tell me when I need to draw," she says with a friendly cast to her voice.
Sasha arrives at the meeting point at the aforementioned time, Sunset. The woman glances around to see who has managed to make it and who has managed to get killed before the run is even started, the cold wind scattering trash around out on the streets. A few clouds linger in the sky, but overall not too many.
«OOC» Melani says, "Ok folks, you are all met, at sunset in the chosen building wich I am going to arbitrarily decalre is caddy corner to the firhouse, wich sits in it's own small lot with a waist high decorative wall around it."
Nightshade arrives at the meeting place early, clearing some space for the folks to gather, checking to make sure none of the floorboards are likely to give way, and taking care of pest control and food provisioning at the same time, rat-onna-stick, the perfect food.
Dalton steps out of his body, then past his wards and zips along towards the target sight. He pauses where the people are gathering and manifests "Going to take a look, I'll be here in the flesh in a few after I'm done." then he vanishes, and zooms over to the building to take a very careful look around.
Charming. Sasha shows up at the meeting place, looking it over as Dalton manifests. She glares at the space he vanishes from and shakes her head, finding a convienent wall to lean against while the others gather and talk. She'll amuse herself by running diagnostics on her various systems in the meanwhile, waiting for the meeting to come to order.
Bunnie nods to those arriving. She's already staked out a window position that oversees the target area, and checked her lines of fire.
«Plot» Melani says, "Ok everyone but Daltonliscious who is looking outside give me a straight up perception please."

To (Vera, Nightshade, Sasha), Melani pages: To Nightshade only for the log: Outside, quite a bit ways up. You can only really see it because it's half cutting off one of the stars that manage to shine down through the smog. Is something roughly circular and dark.
Carpenter looks over Vera as she arrives, narrowing his eyes at her armor. "Street stuff. Oy, ya need t' upgrade your bleedin' gear." He notes, a stray hand tightening the straps on his gyro harness as he heft the large MG attacked. "Ya need a vest t' back that up, I'd say." He takes a bit of a look outside the building, peeking his head out, before turning back, and nodding to Dalton. "Don't die, ehh?" Before going back to Vera. "Check your firearms now. An' try to stay behind me, if ya could." He looks up to Bunnie, and raises his voice a bit. "I'll be mobile. Draw their fire. Pick th' 'eavy threats for me, if ya could." He leans back out again, taking another quick peek.
For the Shamans part, he found his job to be very lonesome, the odds of magic ability were stunningly low amongst the population, and then when you account on those in the rens who would lean hermetic and never recieve the training. A pity really. But there were no wards, no spirits, no magical abilitys present. The Firehouse two storys tall with the classic pole from story two to one. Someone had set up a stage at the bottom. Two entrances beyond the main garage, one door out back one front next to the garage. Early evening meant most of the gang was out on one of thier raids. Only madated security was home. 8 people, six of them asleep, one watching a trid set, and one outside the front door on sentry.
Dalton zips back to his body, then stands up, stretching a bit. He quickly casts improved invisibility and levitate into his foci, and heads to the roof of the world tree. A moment later he summons a wind spirit to speed him up, and he is off like a rocket to the meet sight.
Nightshade comes up from what's left of the basement and goes over to one of the walls, she knocks a bit of plaster out of the her way then pulls out a few feet of copper wiring. She heads back down stripping the coating of the wire off as she goes. "Food'll be ready in bout half hour." She comments as she descends the steps, there's a crack followed by a quick series of thumps and a few curses, "Mind the…5th step, it's a doozy." There are then wet noises coming from the basement those with good hearing can catch a faint, "Gonna make me a fortune…rat-onna-wire."
Vera narrows her eyes at Carpenter. "This is a little more protective than it looks…it's not military hardened armor, but you'd be surprised at how its rating is. Comparable to medium security-spec armors," she replies, taking a quick glance out of the window, relying only on good old-fashioned elven eyesight. "There's something in the sky," she whispers. "Must be a huge drone…or a zeppelin or something." She hasn't been through her recognition cards. She unzips her jacket and reaches inward, pulling out a pair of Browning Hi-Powers, the more than century-old weapons lovingly maintained.
Considering their target, Sasha watches the fire house for several long moments. Out of habit she'll check the sky for cloud cover and the phase of the moon, although she is already sure of the information. When Vera comments about the airborne object, she'll add in a nod of agreement, gesturing towards the general location of the obstruction.
Dalton arrives into the hidey hole, well, invisibly. "Evening folks." he comments casually as he hovers into the area. "We got eight at home right now, six asleep, one watching trid, and one at the front door."
Raising an eyebrow at Dalton's information, Sasha will add in a quiet monotone, "Sounds like a good time to creep in and remove some threats, rig the building for the rest of them." She shrugs at that, looking back up towards the hovering object.
Dalton says, "Possibly, unless they call home and get no answer.""
«Plot» Melani says, " If anyone has some drone background, or any sort of military backgrounds. Go ahead and roll if you want."
«Auto-Judge[]» Carpenter (#3344) rolls Military Tactics and Procedure:
2 10
From afar, to (Carpenter, Nightshade): Melani Nightshade for the log: I'll give it to you carpenter because of the 10. It's most likely a barrage baloon. An observer drone. Bit odd for the rens in general.
Speaking without looking over her shoulder, Sasha remarks, "Sure. They call home and no one answers. Maybe they think their junkie partners are wasted or getting laid or asleep. They'll still come back."
Bunnie takes out her LMG, and assembles it quietly and efficiently in the back of the room
Carpenter shakes his head, looking over to Nightshade at her odd comment, for a moment, before slowly turning attention back to Vera. "Don't care what ya can compare th' plates to. No camoflague t' speak of, an' it doesn't exactly provide full coverage…" He looks at the Hi-Powers with a bit of confusion, before back up to Vera. "An' those must be old goddamn guns. Ya don't see those out a' th' bloody Squeeze."
At the very least, Dalton's report distracts Carpenter from fried rat and furthur debasement. "All right. Good time t' whittle they're numbers. Maybe set a' bit a' trap."
Dalton finds a corner to float in, still invisible "Alright, well, if we are going in, whats the basic plan? Anyone have any suggestions for what you want me to do?"
Bunnie extends her bipod, and smiles. "Just give me the signal and I'll rain fire down on 'em" she grins, and tunes her micro-ceiver to the team 'net.
Vera grins at Carpenter. "I don't want to be slowed down too much, either," she replies. "And don't worry about my hardware - these have been lovingly upgraded to Max-Power spec," she replies. As for the Squeeze…well…where do you think I got them in the first place?" She smiles, reaching into her jacket to produce a pair of silencers. "I could also operate on the flanks - take them down quietly from the side?" she suggests. "If we're not going quiet, though, I'd prefer to operate without them."
Glancing between the bickering Brits, Sasha says towards Dalton, "Execute the ones in the building. Rig a trap, wait for them to enter, remove the threat once we trip the trap. The idea was to leave a message, not just gun them down." She shrugs at that, gesturing at the object in the sky. "The eye in the sky makes me wonder, likely our employer watching us."
Carpenter looks a bit over again, frowning. "Hold it." He says, looking up to the sky, and frowing. "They got some sort a' balloon up there… looks like somethin' from an' old flat… barrage ballon, or looks like it. Like hell if they're worried 'bout dive bombers so it might be a poor-man's observation nest." He grumbles. "Effective, an' it may mean they'll sound an' alarm if we go in from th' street."
He looks back over to Vera, rolling his eyes. "Could a' just got Max-Powers- But enough a' that. I need ya close t' me. We could flank, but they'd still come at us… at least know what's waitin' for them.
Dalton chuckles "Want me to find out if the gangers know anything about the balloon?"
Vera glances at the balloon through the window now, nodding to Carpenter. "Why not take it down with a nice burst of machine-gun fire?" she asks. "That would certainly create some confusion. I suppose this would have been an excellent time for a silenced heavy rifle," she says, almost ruefully.
"Obscure it or knocking it off course would be optimal." Sasha shrugs and looks back at the firehouse, remarking, "Still, I'm partial to removing nearly half their force without much of a fight. No sense getting bloody if we don't have to." She paces to another window, glancing at the building from other angles.
Carpenter hmm. "Well, they'll know somethin's up, but less than they would know…" He sighs, and takes a moment to reach into his pack, before coming out with a spare barrel. With an expert flick, he removes the current barrel out of his weapon, a small, angry warning beep emitted. After a moment, he replaces it with the new one, before there's a much happier beep. "I can fire suppressed, take it out, if we need t'. We good with that?"
Dalton coughs litely "I can provide us with a nice low altitude cloud cover…..if thats a simpler option."
Bunnie says "Can we ID the drone more than just a zepp? If it's mylar skinned, then we can take it down with gunfire."
Carpenter stares at Dalton, for a moment, before rolling his eyes, and moving to report the barrel back to the oringal, in a process that's fast, but probably annoying. "Mate, ya could a' said that in th' first place. An' I doubt it's anything 'eavy. Even a recon blimp's easy enough t' swat down if ya got th' location."
«OOC» Melani says, "It's defintly a drone, and not to large of one. Mylar is not out of the question."
«OOC» Melani says, "Not large enough for a man, unless you are vastly misjudging range, in wich case it probably can't see you to well."
Dalton chuckles faintly from his corner of the room "Well, I'll put up some cloud cover, maybe a nice fog? Or would that limit you all too much? Everyone have thermo mods?"
"No." That's the entirety of her answer as Sasha starts towards the door, "But I'm going to go over there and kill those guys once you put up the fog, so it won't really matter." She glances towards the rest of the room, "Channel?"
Dalton speaks out of his corner "My friend wind, please come to my aid." his voice is quiet, and you hear a rustling in the room, a breeze stirring through the place "Can you go outside and put up a fog bank for us, centered on the firehouse across the street. Thank you."
Carpenter sighs a bit toward Sasha. "Well, you're simple in you're operations, I'll give ya that. I got enough thermo, an' by th' time we get int' th' area, it's not gonna matter what sort a' mods we 'ave in th' buildin'. They're all goin' t' die."
«Plot» Dalton says, "1 Service from Wind Spirit Great form F5 used."
«Plot» Melani says, "Noted Dalton."
And so, the obscuring fog began to gather unnaturally in the chill denver air. Obscuring vision, and clinging to clothes.
Sasha doesn't answer Carpenter's commentary; instead, she lurks in the entryway while the fog builds, watching the firehouse and committing the floorplan and layout to memory, comparing it with the data they have from the Johnson.
Data was good, nothing out of the ordinary, two floors, garage, small and squat, low perimiter wall and a small yard on all sides.
Dalton looks around, then shrugs, though no one can see the gesture "They currently have no magical support, or signs of it. What would you folks prefer, me to go in zapping things, or me to make several of you invisibile?"
Vera chuckles, shaking her head. "Of course I've not bought my thermographic sunglasses yet," she says, ruefully. "Anyway, I'll stay in the assignment I should stay in - making sure nobody flanks Carp," she reconfirms, narrowing her eyes. Mist. Wonderful. She'll be as useful as one of the gangers.
Carpenter looks over to Dalton… before nodding. "The latter. Get me an' another 'eavy 'itter in, shouldn't be too hard t' set up an impromptu firin' squad.
Nightshade keeps an ear on the rest of the team, and glances up from time to time to see what they're up to through the gaps and cracks that have grown between the floorboard over the years of neglect. She comes up stairs carrying the hard sided case with her, "They're all set to go, fifteen minutes over a can of sterno and they'll be delicious."

Dalton nods, though, again, still invisible. "Certainly, who are my volunteers to dissappear?"
Carpenter cocks his head. "Never much did like magic, but I'll take it…" He looks back over to the building, frowning. "Sentry just took off. Suggest we deploy now, take 'em all out while they aren't watching.

Dalton focuses on the man with the big gun, calming his mind and driving away distractions. A black cloak and hood cover his features, the hood billowing dramaticaly as if in a wind, of course, since he is invisible, no one spots this. The spell is sent forth, wrapping around Carpenter and then he is gone from sight.
Bunnie gets ready to set up properly.
Casting a glance over her shoulder to see if the rest of the team is coming along, Sasha pulls a datacord from a pocket in her longcoat, spooling the line up to a datajack she'll uncover behind her left ear. She checks the connection and seems satisfied, then motions to the people. "Let's do this."
Nightshade nods towards the building, "So, the plan is just wholesale slaughter, yeah?" She asks as she shrugs out of her overcoat. She opens the case, and withdraws two massive blades that lock into place on the harness she's wearing under the coat. Pulling the overcoat back on is a little awkward looking, might have been easier just to unsheath and resheath the blades through the flap cut into the collar of the coat but for one reason or another she does it the long way round. Once her coat is closed she pulls on two gun slings, one to hang on either side but closes the case without withdrawing guns. "Carp, keep Bunnie posted on where you are so she doesn't catch you in a spray by accident."

Nightshade glances over towards Carpenter, "Huh, nice work…can't see a hair of him."
Carpenter takes a deep breath, as the spell overtakes him, before looking around. "O-okay. Did that work? I'm not a lizard or somethin' bleedin' insane, am I? He grumbles, before moving forward to the door, and then nodding. He flicks on his comm system, and transduces silently. «Ready. Let's get in there, an' fuck 'em' up. On point, on me.»" He notes, before moving at a slow jog out of the building, and through the fog, towards the main base.
Commlink-«Reason» :says, her transduced voice even more stripped of emotion than usual, "Yes. Let's form up on the invisible guy."
Nightshade glances at Sasha, then shrugs.
Commlink-Carpenter> Carpenter says, "Oh, Bloody hell, just make for th' fraggin' door an' come in two seconds after th' goddamn screams."
With the team, both of her pistols drawn, Vera hustles up to stay with Carpenter, her heart racing, readying herself for any potential nearby targets of opportunity. She flashes a quick smile at Nightshade, but other than that, she is silent, not chattering up the comm.
Nightshade starts moving round to the far side of the building, her little wagon in tow. Just in case some of them try to get out the back door.
Commlink-Nightmare> Dalton says, "Ohh nevermind, someones going to get shot this way. I'll just come along and zap things."

Dalton flies out of the building and hovers in the air, he will let the others go inside, and he will watch the great outdoors for any signs of fleeing gangers.
Shaking her head, Sasha pulls down her balaclava and moves out towards the building. She steers well clear of where she believes Carpenter is, aiming for the wall of the building and moving at a good clip. A micro-window manifests in the lower left of her visual range, flashing there a moment before minimizing. Her right hand produces a large ugly weapon, a silencer screwed on the end of the barrel.

Overhead, as the runners crossed the street, the drone moved, it's lenses focused and homed in, directly onto Sasha, if anyone was capable of seeing it do so.
Nightshade walks along, "No, you can't get to heaven in a rocking chair, cause my lord don't want no lazy-bones there…" When she reaches the far side she picks a likely looking spot and settles into a spot outside of the line of sight of the drone above, then opens her case and readies her guns, clipping them to the slings, there she waits and watches.

Carpenter continues to move forward, panning his weapon around left and right, keeping at a slow jog, before turning to the stairs. "Heading up. Goin' t' need back-up in a while, I think." He mutters quietly, taking the stairs two at a time.
Sasha pauses at the door, eyes scanning it carefully before touching the handle, testing if it is locked or not. If so, she'll liberate her tools and take care of the lock; if not, she'll slip the door open and head inside, careful to stay low and look, listen, and then move.
Nightshade looks up at the drone overhead, then over at the firehouse, then at the drone, then at the firehouse.
Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Mare, when you get a moment, fry that blimp."
Dalton looks up at the blimp, focusing on it, and then drawing in the mana energy necessary to attack the mechanical thing. He focues his mind, and then points his finger up at the blimp, releasing the burst of mana energy skyward.
Bunnie keeps scanning the area and the house, using hr smartlink to keep herself appraised
«OOC» Melani says, "Negative Dalton Rider. It's pitch black and holding more sensors than god."
«OOC» Dalton says, "Base TN should be say 8 to 10 or so. Then +2 for body. So lets say TN 12 on the Blimp. That sound fair?"
«OOC» Melani says, "Sounds fair."

Nightshade glances up at the drone, then over the building, then back up at the drone…
Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "You that busy?"
Commlink-Nightmare> Dalton says, "working on it, things resisting my spells, likely its armored. If it starts to bother us, I'll grab it with levitate and throw it into a building."
Vera has a very small amount of the tactical situation available to her, and as such is really just hanging on Carpenter's ass. She's not carrying a machine gun, so she follows him up the stairs, easily taking the steps two at a time as well, completely unaware of blimp drama outside.
«Auto-Judge[]» Melani (#11271) rolls 1 for "1 is bad":

The door was unlocked, for Sasha's entry, it led to a ladder down into what was once most likely a maintnance storage area. Carpenter cleared steps easy. Second man, still watching the trid dazed looking. Gunfire would be loud to the other targets now.
«OOC» Melani says, "You are not spotted by the trid watcher as Dalton has some confusion going on."
«OOC» Melani says, "So we are in nebulous time."
«OOC» Vera says, "As I'm behind carpenter, could I quickly stick them on?"
«OOC» Melani says, "Yes."
«OOC» Melani says, "I am not going to punish you guys for taking reasonable amounts of time out of pre-caution."
Carpenter looks at the man, swinging his weapon toward him.. but holding fire, and continuing to move on. "Can you take him out quietly?" He notes, leaving Vera to cover him with her pistols, before heading toward any close doors on this floor, looking for the rest of the targets.
Bypassing the door, Sasha starts into the building, producing the aforementioned silenced Savalette from beneath her jacket. She'll let the door ease closed behind her, slowing its closing with her hand before starting forward. Her eyes automatically adjust to the lighting and range, the ballistic computer running alongside her nervous system calculating firing vectors as her gun's barrel passes over the wall, the ceiling.
Going down the ladder, the woman will report over the comms dutifully, «Coming down from topside.»
Peering through the slowly opening door, seeing an opportunity, Vera quickly moves to affix her silencers, held within her holster harness, to the barrel of her pistols, letting the quick locking lugs seal them in place. The entire process only takes a few seconds for each. She nods to Carpenter, moving forward, and then brings up her weapons, held close together, in front of her. Aiming down both sides would ordinarily be impossible, but both smartlinks processed by her supplementary chip line up the weapons on the head of the visible man.
«OOC» Carpenter says, "I'd say fire away, Vera."
«OOC» Melani says, "Take the shot Vera."

Second target down. Good thing to, the only door was at the opposite end of the room. D-Funk,Nightshade, and bunnie. Pose or pass?
Nightshade blinks, then looks back up at the drone and starts murmuring, "Panic bells, it's red alert, there's something here from somewhere else. The warmachine springs to life, opens up one eager eye, focusing it on the sky…"
Bunnie continues to scan the outside, making sure the inside team isn't surprised by antyhing.
Nightshade says in German, "Ninety-nine red balloons go by."

Dalton hovers on the roof, keeping an eye on the drone high above him. He figures if it shoots at someone, then he will take care of it, hopefully it wont kill anyone.
Second target down. Sasha…had eased herself into the sleeping quarters, only one person, a female junkie awake, staring slightly ahead and above her, eyes totally glazed over. Carpenter was going for the door in the next room.
PFF PFF PFF PFF, Vera's four bullets sing out, each one plumping into the unprotected skull of the thug. The tiny explosive charges within each turn each bullet into a mini fragmentation weapon, creating a cancan of fragments from all four within that thick ganger skull. Good night! She gives Carpenter a wink, trying to keep herself from looking at her handiwork now cooling on the ground. These were definitely kill or be killed types. Vera moves to remain stuck to Carpenter.
Carpenter gives a slight nod over to Vera, as the target's neutralized, before moving to the next door. "Decent shots, though I'd prefer somethin' a bit more rapid… Who am I kiddin'?" He notes, quickly, but quietly, opening the door, and scanning the room for more targets. "So long as it's /effective/…
The weapon aims at the junkie as Sasha enters the sleeping quarters, moving with slow determination. She waits for the weapon to give her a good tone, aiming for the center mass of the woman, the silenced pistol held in a steady two handed grip. She'll close another step and then fires, immediately seeking a new target amongst the sleeping.
«OOC» Melani says, "You got a room full of defensless people Sasha, go nuts."
«Auto-Judge[]» Sasha (#11175) rolls 6 (wires.etc) vs TN 2 for "Silenced single shot, aimed. Base damage is 9M":

Nightshade settles back in to wait things out, keeping an eye and an ear on the roads incoming.
Vera grins to Carpenter. "More rapid is louder," she whispers, in return. "And a much bigger deal if you get caught with them."
«OOC» Sasha says, "Not until the awake one goes bbye"
«OOC» Vera scratches her head. "I'm trying to learn, and not nitpick or anything. But can a Guardian mount a silencer? I thought it could only mount a suppressor.
«OOC» Vera says, "Because of the BF."
«Auto-Judge[]» Melani (#11271) rolls 3 vs TN 9 for "Junkies don't need brains!":
1 1 5 = 0 Successes
«OOC» Melani says, "You got her Sasha, post out."
«OOC» Carpenter says, "I think it doesn't apply if you fire BF."
The round blows a hole cleanly through the woman's chest, leaving a splatter of blood and gore on the opposite wall. Sasha moves another cross step forward, watching the body fall over backwards from the shot before moving the barrel towards one of the sleeping gangers, her eyes devoid of anything resembling mercy.
«Plot» Melani says, "Carpenter, the door you open leads into a very large room, there is a woman in front of you, and her chest just exploded like an alien was going to pop out."
«Plot» Melani says, "Now, right now, with Dalton's confusion ongoing, and silenced weapons in play. I am going to assume you can all kill the sleeping remainders at your liesure."
«Plot» Melani says, "HOWEVER. I want a post right now, of what you all will be doing for the next five minuites."
Dalton remains on the rooftop, watching for further trouble, or returning gangers, he is acting as a lookout for the moment, until someone tells him to do something else.
Sasha will move from target to target, eliminating them quickly and efficently. Once done, she'll recover her brass and make sure all targets are deceased.
Vera shakes her head. 'It's no worse than a firing squad…' she subvocalizes, before she begins to take her part of the grisly task of delivering silenced bullets to sleeping targets. She offers a curt, efficient nod to Sasha.
Carpenter moves his weapon around to the area in front of him, watching the specticle of an exploding chest with just a little suprise. He lowers his weapon as the junkie falls to the ground, before turning to Sasha and Vera. Ammunition's on a bit a' a short supply." he mutters, moving to take the slightly spent clip of the pair as he moves to slowly reload it. "Suppose ya can knife 'em?" He says, before slamming the clip back into the weapon. Weather an answer is given or not, he moves back down the stairs, and heads to the door of the garage, bringing his weapon to bear on the entrace vehicles would make, trying to keep himself covered in the door way.
Nightshade slips further back into the abandoned building she's selected as her vantage making sure to keep out of sight of the drone, then she settles in to wait out the return of the raiding party.
«Auto-Judge[]» Melani (#11271) rolls 1 for "one or two is bad.":

Nightshade grumbles.
Commlink-Nightshade> Nightshade says, "Ya best not eat my rats."
Bunnie continues her reflexive sweep of the area. She keeps here eyes on the sky, not really expecting to see the drone, but keeping her eyes and ears ready and active. No fixing on one spot, keeping everythign surveilled
Nightshade digs in her pocket and pulls out a Zagnut bar, and gnaws on it while she waits.
Dalton continues to keep watch from the rooftop of the firehouse as long as everyone is inside it. He remains quiet for the most part.
GunsightComm-(Bunnie): Still quiet outside
Once all the targets are eliminated, Sasha will check out the building for the best place top plant several charges, particularly anything that will help take the building down effectively and/or start fires.

You guys got company, down the road, bout 10 bikes and a 4x4 Toyota truck. Bout sixty seconds out at the latest. Inside, you got a body by the door, and Sasha has literally /just/ finished placing charges, she still needs to prime the detonator or set the timer.
Commlink-Nightmare> Dalton says, "Company is coming, clean up the mess in there so as not to scare em off"
GunsightComm-(Bunnie): Sixty plus seconds, we got 10 cycles and a 4x4.
Commlink-Carpenter> Carpenter says, "Copy. Movin' th' bloody body. We gonna engage them or bring this place down?"
Commlink-«Reason» Charges are set, timing out now. I'd run.
«Plot» Vera says, "I'm going to stick with Carpenter, try to hide so that they will go in and all get blasted. :D"
Bunnie sights in on the incoming cycles, if they peel off from entering the area, she's gonna have pre-defined fire lanes for all of them. She keeps stock still, using cover and such to keep conceled from the incomign gangers.
Sasha will set the timer on the charges, synchronizing it with her internal clock. Once it is set, she will leave the building the opposite direction from where the vehicles are coming from and/or the roof, if necessary.
«Plot» Melani says, "Sasha, whats your timer?"

Carpenter waits for the announcement that the timer's been set, then moves from the garage, tapping Vera on the shoulder. "Back door. Let's get th' 'ell out a' 'ere." He says, fairly running toward the exit near the back, and making sure Vera follows. Once he's out, he continues running, at least for one city block.
Nightshade sets up to put the vehicles in a cross fire with Bunnie, she might not be packing quite the gun same gun size, bullets are bullets. She keeps an eye on the garage door, if the gang pulls up and waits like they're expecting it to open she'll cast a quick levitate spell to try and get them inside, then close it aftewards.
Dalton meanwhile has retreated to a safer distance anticipating debris from the explosion.
«Auto-Judge[]» Melani (#11271) rolls 1 for "Sheer dumb luck. 1 is bad.":

Vera continues running as well, staying with Carp. She's not going to cause trouble right at this moment, as she looks around wide-eyed. This is, as she could describe it, probably her first real operation, and she gives Carpenter a bright flash of a smile when they get out of the danger zone. She refrains from saying anything inane like 'Not bad, huh?' After all, it's not over yet…
Commlink-Carpenter> Carpenter says, "Clear a' th' blast area, Posh in tow."
Posh playfully displays to Carpenter a most unladylike gesture.
GunsightComm-(Bunnie): Rog. Still processing as required.
Her job done, Sasha will move far faster than anything humanoid has any right to move, slipping out of the structure and towards safety. The digital timer in her heads up field of vision continues to count down towards the explosion without relenting, a steady red reminder of what is to come. She spares a momentary thought to send out to her comm.
Commlink-«Reason» Time Remaining: <TIME DISPLAYED>
the bikes roared down the street. Someone had the common sense to install a garage door opener. The Firehouse garage doors creeping open just in time for the vehicles to arrive. Dismounting it seems thier leader was in the pickup as the ork male dismounted from the bed, grumbling something unheard due to distance and engines. 2:30 to detonation, The leader entered the main building, noone had moved the body. There was a yell back to the garage and arms were quickly produced. 2:00 to detonation. The gang had split, most of them moving inside, however two three man groups had started to spread out along the outside, patrolling around the building.
