«Plot» Rex says, "I will need consent. I think you all are familar with how I GM, so lets get moving."
«Plot» Mother says, "I consent"
«Plot» Victoria says, "I consent."

Word goes out that a few bodies are needed, a little B/E work, not too hard. Its mostly about keeping under the radar more than anything. You are to meet the jay in the basement of the Ragdoll, the password is Anchovies.

Anchovies. Well, it is better than Swordfish. Mother gears up for the run and heads out to the Ragdoll. It isn't that far of a jaunt and she needs the work. She'll show several minutes early to check out the place before heading in, going towards the basement.
Victoria wondered, idly, who the hell came up with these passwords. Really… still Vicky would get there, fifteen minuites early as always, take a seat, and wait.

Diego is seated at the table, and may have been here a while. There is an ashtray with two butts in it, and he is holding a third cigarette in his hand. A pocsec sits on the table in front of him, and he gestures for you to sit down as you arrive. "Good evening senoritas, I am in need of a courier to deliver a suprise present. Remember, this is a suprise, so the recipient cannot know about it until the right time. I'd like the gift delivered to thier apartment, while they are out of town. I'm afraid I've lost the spare key though. I hope this isn't a problem."

Mother glances at Diego, at Victoria. She'll pay attention to the mission briefing with quiet concentration, shaking her head at mention of a missing key. "That should not be a problem. Are there any other considerations?"
Victoria raised an eyebrow, but then smirked. "This isn't going to involve me jumping out of a cake is it monsiuer?"

Diego turns to look at Mother, "Don't wake the neighbors." He smirks a bit as Victoria speaks, and then looks at her. "Your methods are your own as long as the present is delivered and placed in the apartment, though a large commotion would be unwise. I can offer you an excellent delivery fee of fifteen each. If you are both agreed to this, I can give you the address and the gift."

Mother considers the offer for a long time, perhaps 3.78 seconds. She'll nod and answer out loud, "I agree to the terms as you have provided them." The dwarf sits back at that, eyes going to Victoria then back to Diego as she waits for the other.
Victoria shrugged her shoulders lightly. "Will this require my employer Monsieur?"

Diego shrugs and looks to Victoria "That is your call senorita, whichever of you two think they can handle the task at hand. But you will need to let me know who to pay."

Mother waits patiently, almost immobile.
Victoria nodded. "I will give him a call then. Please, go on."

Diego nods and pulls a chip out of his pocsec, and lays it on the table. "The address is on there, its an apartment complex, B security area. The security is mostly camera based, but interior only. They do not have good outside coverage, but the hallways and all doors are covered well, and alarmed. The apartment is 506, its on the top floor." He then leans over slightly, pulling a small box out of a briefcase. The box is the size of a shoe box, in fact, it is a shoe box. He lays it on the table. "Put these in the apartment, wherever he keeps his shoes. If he keeps them in boxes, leave the box. If he does not, just leave the shoes, take the box."

Mother listens, nodding with each piece of information. She considers the shoe box for a moment then glances to Diego. "Is the package volitile? Does it need to be protected from impact or extremes of temperature?"
Victoria nodded to Mother's question. Hmming slightly to herself.

Diego smiles, a gloves hand reaching out to open the box. "No, its shoes. They do not explode." In the box is a pair of brown loafers, a little scuffed as if they have been worn before.

Mother nods, not agreeing or disagreeing with regards to exploding shoes. She'll glance to see if Victoria has any other questions, seeming done for now.

Victoria shook her head lightly. "I believe, perhaps my employer will not be needed. But it seems to be something perhaps I can do."

Diego nods "Then I shall let you get to it, you have 36 hours. When you are done, send a trixmail to the account on that chip." he points to the one he left with the address. "I will then arrange payment in whatever way you wish."

Rising to her feet to an impressive three foot six, Mother scoops up the chip and nods. "We will be in touch within the alloted time." She glances to Victoria and nods towards the door before heading to leave the basement and the Johnson behind.
Victoria raised her hand in a soft wave to Diego. Then up she went as well, apparently the dwarf was the lead on this one, something Victoria seemed perfectly fine with.

Mother will get a hotel room for planning purposes, one out near the highway. Once they are set she'll check the chip with Victoria, speaking quickly and distinctly. "All right. I suggest that we look over the place independantly then meet back here in six hours to compare notes. Then, once we have as much information as we can, we'll move in and drop off the shoes. That way we can maximize our time and resources."
Victoria followed alone, looking well, pleasent in tone and conversation. She was pretty easy to get along with were you not being stupid. "Hmm, perhaps a suggestion, to your plan. Though it may take slightly longer?"

The apartment is in the CAS sector. Timberline Apartments.

Mother nods, gesturing with an open hand. "Of course." She'll take quick notes on her secretary, starting to draw up ideas in the margins.
Victoria says "Perhaps oe of us should…move in? Or at least express intrest in it. Most apartments in a complex are made to the same design, so a tour will at least give us at least a good idea of where we want to go. And if we are lucky enough that the apartment next to the target is for rent? A hundred nuyen in drywall repair materials and a good knife and we are done."

"That idea has merit. That said, I think you might be a better choice for the tour. Most facilities are less inclined to look twice at a human looking to purchase a new place, while my own metatype tends to stand out." Mother doesn't seem overly concerned with that, but it is a factor it seems. "If you are so inclined to do so, that is.:
Victoria nodded. "I can express some intrest. Though I do not know how well I will be at giving you a feel for the place."

"A camera? It isn't odd for someone to take pictures, perhaps to send to a spouse or potential room mate." Mother offers a shrug to that, "In fact, if they have a virtual presence that would help as well."
Victoria nodded, smiling slightly. "Good call, then I shall count that as my benefit to your recon then, no?"

"Yes. All data is useful and helps define our goal. If you can get shots of the hallways as well that would be good. I'll check the neighborhood, streets, and general lay of the land. If we can bypass the cameras that would be best. The roof or windows might be useful, but not optimum." Mother ticks items off her fingers, "I do not suppose you are a hacker?"

Victoria smirked. "Mademoiselle, I have enough problems with just making my dayplanner work."

"Unfortunate." Mother nods and says, "Then we'll do it the other way. I suggest we make arrangements and get to work?"

Victoria nodded again, holding out her hand for a moment. "If I could get a contact number, I will be off?"

Mother supplies a burner number from one that she has on hand and mentions, "That will be good for the next 48 hours. That should be more than enough time for this mission."
Victoria nodded to mother, giving a small smile, then preparing to go on her way.

The block is actually pretty crowded, in fact, there are multple office buildings and even another apartment on the same block. Most of this is older though, why its still a B sector. Its for the business that don't want to spend money on a nice office in a better area. The aparments are also fairly old, at least thirty years old or more. Timberline is a five story building, each apartment has a small patio that looks out on the street on the north and south. There is a small alley on the east and west, but there are no windows here, just a large fire escape and doors that likely lead to the hallways for each floor. The front of the building is a large double glass door, opening to a small lobby with a mail room, a laundry room, and a managers office. In the center are two elevators, and there is a stairwell just off to the side of them.

Victoria entered, unarmed, and all smiles. Taking her time to look around in faux curiosity before going to the managers!

As you enter the managers office you find its rather drab. A desk, a computer, and two chairs in front of the desk. The manager is a human male, looks to be in his mid fourties, and is wearing coveralls. Perhaps he is also a superintendent as well, probably the owners saving a buck making the person fill two jobs. He is currently pounding at the keybroad, "FRAGGING PIECE OF DREK!" I mean, he is literally hammering the keyboard with his fist.

Victoria smiled pleasently, and waited politely, only raising her voice in a small cough once.

The mans head turns, focusing on you a second, then he grunts. "Um..Pardon me miss." He settles back in his chair, apparently not one for being gentlemanly and standing up. "What can I do for you?"

Victoria smiled again, then nodded slightly. "A place to live, I was thinking, no?"

The man sighs slightly, and opens a drawer from the table. "Yea yea, I know the trix site needs updated. Great security, bad customer service." he snorts, pulling out a small tablet, and hitting a button on it. "Fill out this form please, I can add you to the waiting list after that."

Victoria laughed a little, before she took the tablet. "I was hoping to get a look before I made a decision. No offense, but I have had trouble in the past with landlords trying to get away with a few things, no?"

The man nods, and gestures at the tablet. "Fill out the form, slot your credstick, and then I can show you the available room. They need that credstick info for insurance in case you die in the elevator or something." he shakes his head slightly at that.

Victoria nodded, a credstick was inserted. It's not like anything could come back to her. Letting it scan and clicking away at the tablet to fill out info.

The manager stands up, and starts towards the door. "Alright, come on. Second floor, I'll open it for you, let you look around. I gotta work on the sink anyhow, so I was heading that way." He exits the office and moves over to a door labled Maintaince. This guy is pretty casual honestly, or maybe he just doesn't give a crap.

Victoria considered it was likely the latter. Another polite smile, and she moved to tag along.

The manager grabs a bag of tools and heads to the elevator, pushing the button. The doors open immediately, apparently resting on the lobby level. He steps in, waiting for you before hitting the second floor. The door closes, raising up to the second level and opening up again. He steps out, taking a turn to the right. Two doors down he reaches 203, he pulls out a card, swiping it on the door and it opens. The door apparently has a keypad entry, along with a card reader. Once inside he moves to the kitchen. "Feel free to look around."

Victoria smiled, and exscused herself to do so. Taking quite a few pictures, though mostly at things that would be need to be documented in case of an argument over security deposit at the end of her tenure.

The entryway is short, opening to the right into a small kitchen, and straight ahead you have the living room, the patio door directly opposite the front door. To the left is a short hallway, leading to a bathroom and the single bedroom in the apartment. Apparently you got the layout for the single room apartment.

Well it would work as a base. She had some new info, and so it would be passed on. Asking a few idle questions during the rest of the tour before leaving a polite time later.
«Plot» Victoria says, "That was Vicky."

The man simply had a small leak to fix on the water lines, and was done rather quickly. He exits with you, making sure the door locks behind, and then when you hit the ground floor he heads back to his office, leaving you to head out on your own.

Victoria escaped, to make her way back to mother, by calling the burner.

«Plot» Rex says, "Security wise, your best bet is a cat burglar style. Get on the roof, go down through the patio. The lock isnt great, just so so. There are cameras all over the lobby and the hallways. The patio is alarmed, but its got the weaker lock."

"Ok. Plan A is that we go through the roof, into the apartment, drop the goods and go. Plan B is that we borrow the manager's keys, drop the merchandise, fake a burglary in another apartment and go." Mother glances to Victoria. "Questions? Comments?"
Victoria shook her head a little. "Not much more we can do without a computer person. I do not know if I or my employer would be able to handle that alarm however."

"I should be able to disable the alarm if it is rigged to the door lock. If not, we will need a distraction. Can you .. or your employer .. disable the power for the area or otherwise trigger *all* the alarms? If there are multiple calls, there is less suspicion on where we are." Mother considers the shoe box again.
«Auto-Judge[]» Mother (#7837) spends 100 nuyen for "Hotel for planning and food.".
Victoria crinkled her nose slightly. "My employer could, but that would raise suspiscion in and of itself."

Mother asks, "Would it raise suspicion on what we are doing, or on something else?" She doesn't seem concerned about it one way or the other, but seems to be asking to tick things off a list.
Victoria shrugged a little. "I am on file visiting, so if we go that route, I would prefer full power loss."
«Game» Backup to offline storage commencing. Game may freeze for a bit…

"I am fine with that. In any case, in and out, done." Mother seems confident on it, dusting off her hands. "Sometime after dark, so that the lack of power will be confusing. Our target is out of town, so his apartment should be fine."

Victoria nodded, smiling softly. "I will contact my employer."

Mother will lay out a number of comm codes and back ups to such. "Give him these and we'll coordinate from there. Once in place we can trigger the diversion, do the operation, and get out. Should move quickly."
Victoria nodded, and if Mother had nothing else from her, she would depart.
«Plot» Le Temoin says, "Ahem, I am going to need a rat Rex."

Turk has arrived.

Le Temoin dropped gear.
gear has left.
Le Temoin had arrived, found an ally to change in, and wala! Le Temoin. A wait to link up with Mother before the fire escape was attempted, most likely to their DOOM!

So they have a plan and they are set. Mother checks what little gear she is taking with her and prepares to set out. They are parked not so far away, just down the block really. The package is light enough that it poses no problems. Mother wears a simple black poncho over her urban camouflage, the pattern meant to help blend in the city. She'll move to head up the escape, letting Le Temoin take the lead up.

The fire escape is a little creaky, but not enough to actually alert anyone to your presence. It takes a little time to quietly head up the fire escape, but soon your at the fifth floor. Now for getting up top.

Le Temoin didn't even use the gun, that short of a trip just meant throwing the grapple, and waiting for a good solid catch, why noone ever oiled fire escapes was beyond it though.

Le Temoin up, over, across, then down. Well at least the military had taught them something, the figure adjusting it's goggles over to low light as it nodded to the patio door. Voice modulation in full effect as it spoke. "Get us in?"

Once Le Temoin is up and over, Mother follows. She is plenty strong enough to heft herself over the edge, her already low profile even smaller as she scoots across the roof top. She pauses, letting the other head down to the patio below before following. She'll wait there a moment, catching her breath and listening for any problems or alarms. She'll nod to the other and move towards the door, her own eyes shifting to narrow beam lights that amplify her low light vision even more. She reaches for the tools in packs along her thighs.

Mother squints, cursing having left her special goggles in St. Louis. But it is what it .. ah. She'll quickly and neatly bypass the alarm, her hands moving to remove the case to get to the lock's guts thereafter.

The dwarf is a credit to her metatype. The case requires perhaps two dozen seconds to remove, set aside neatly. She nods at the lock and snorts to herself .. the model is outdated. She'll bypass it without effort, returning the case to it's proper place and securing it neatly, checking everything is just so. Perhaps a minute and a half for care.
Le Temoin looked over it's shoulder for a moment, nodding. "You want me to go in, or stay?"

"Secure the exit." Mother's voice is low, her fingertips brushing the door to push it in. The Johnson says the place is empty, but that doesn't always mean it is. She'll slip inside, keeping her silhouette as small as possible.

Neat. The room is arranged very orderly, everything in its proper place. Whoever lives here likes his stuff a certain way, and it shows. Its also very clean, you slip into the living room, so far so good.

Mother moves to the closet, looking for the man's other shoes. The orders were clear: leave the box if the target has shoes in box, otherwise just the shoes. So, we're looking for shoes.

The mans bedroom is immaculate as well, and as you open his closet, there it is on the bottom, shoe boxes. Neatly arranged across the floor underneath the nice suits that hang from the rack. A little shifting around and you now have an extra shoebox neatly in line with the others. He will realize it, but, perhaps thats the point.

Mother's place is not to ask questions. She'll make sure things are in order that she hasn't disturbed anything else before leaving the apartment exactly as she found it, just with an extra shoebox. She'll head back to the patio without delay.
"Close up shop, and up the rope." Le Tem spoke, nodding as Mother returned.

The door is closed, the case checked again to be sure. Mother waits for Le Temoin to go up, holding things steady and standing guard.

Le Temoin was up and over, letting Mother go first, mainly so it could collect the line after itself. No use wasting it when it could be recovered after all. Then a nod, and down the fire escape. Letting Mother go her own way, as it went back to change, and disapear into the night.

Again, the dwarf heads up hand over hand, pulling her body weight with little trouble and a roll over the edge. She gives Le Temoin room to move, following the other across the roof and down to the fire escape again, head panning this way and that, always watching and keeping track.

Once down, the pair heads back to their escape vehicle and are gone soon thereafter, leaving no traces and less sound.

The team makes it away without a hitch. Thier payment is sent when confirmation is given, and in the news two days later there is a small blurb about an arrest at the same appartment. Something about evidince found linking the occupant to a murder charge….huh.
