Synopsis: Our Hero's are hired by a drug dealer to make a delivery and then follow the dope back to the bad guys place.
Date: June 1, 2070

The night is warm and the streets are hot in the Mile High City tonight. The word is
on the street that a man named 'Hex' is looking to give work to those in the know. The
meeting is at a bar known as the "Meat Locker" in the CAS section of the sprawl.

Baron is napping in his RV when the call comes in from his fixer. He takes the call
"Yea?" he answers, after a moments pause "Alright, on my way." The phone is hung up and
Baron reaches over for the datacable to his RCdeck, jacking in and feeling the massive Bison
take over his awareness. He revs the engine a little then sets up the pilot to park near
this Meat Locker place. He gets up and starts putting on his armor while the RV drives
itself. Eventually he has himself dressed, then loads up his pockets with snacks and jacks
back into the RV, he finds a parking spot then heads for the door, waddling his way outside
and heading towards the bar.

The CAS is one of the better places for Critter, not only does she live in that
sector, for now, but she has a SIN for the area too. Hopping on her mini-motorcycle she
rolls across the sector, the wind in her face, her helmet protecting her head. She knows of
the Meat Locker, she finds her way there easily and powers down the bike.

"The small run down building that has been chosen for the meet has the oh so
charming name "The Meat Locker". The door to enter the establishment appears to be an actual
freezer door from a walk in cooler. You enter the bar and the tribal thump of bass
immediately assaults your senses as do the distinctive scents of urine, sweat, and smoke of
varous types both legal and illegal. A long bar emcompasses the right side of the room,
extending along the wall to end at a door to the back of the bar. The center of the room is
dominated by a long stage with a predictable brass pole that extends from the second floor
of the club to the stage on the first. Various tables and booths dot the floor and are
serviced by scantily clad human waitresses. Along the right wall, a number of cubes with
curtains for privacy line the length of the wall. A spiral staircase goes up to the second
level in the far right hand corner of the room. You can see through the metal grate that
serves as a floor for the second level. The second level appears to be more of a personal
touch, with smaller tables very close to a small stage.

At the door a large human male, bald with various jailhouse tattoos covering his
arms snags the cover charge from you but doesnt check weapons or even seem to care if you
have any that are in sight. The old school predator heavy pistol holstered at his hip
appears to have a well worn grip. The waitresses wear small shorts and tank tops that say
"MEAT LOCKER" on the front across the chest and also all appear to be human. As a matter of
fact now that you look at it, every person visable right now is human. No meta's nope not
one.

Baron makes his way past security, no one checking the small dart pistol he has behind
his back. He makes his way into the bar, pausing a moment to oogle some of the ladies with a
greasy leer. He waddles his way over to the bartender and pulls out a twenty "Looking for a
Hex? Seen em?" he grunts.

Well now there's one meta, Critter walks into the room, her hobnail boots clacking
on the floor. She sees Baron, its kind of hard to miss the fella. She hikes up her britches
and she starts in that direction as she hears him ask for Hex, she knows she's in the right
'party'.

The bartender takes the twenty and jerks a thumb towards a sweaty man in a private
booth along the outer ring but still near the stage. He is currently getting a lapdance from
a human female made up to look like an elf in a schoolgirl outfit. He waves you over from
behind her gyrating hips and then goes back to his dance.

Baron turns, glancing down at Critter and nodding, he waddles his way over towards the
sweaty man and takes a seat near him. He reaches into a pocket for a candybar, pulling it
out and taking a bite. He remains quiet, waiting for the Johnson for the evening to finish
with his entertainment.

Keeping pace with Baron, Critter uses him like a wedge on a snow plow. People move
out of his way that might not even notice her. She manages to dodge the people as they start
to fill in the space, making her way over towards the table. Her eyes shift into the astral
as she looks towards the two people already there.

As the dance ends, the sweaty man shoves a bill into the dancers crotch and swats
her on the behind. She squeals and skips away to give you a better look at your J tonight.
Latin, sweating and lecherous, the J is clad in a white wife beater and enough gold to make
any one look twice. He has a silver one piece grill over his top teeth, with the word 'Hex'
enscribed on it. It gives him a slight lisp when he speaks in heavily accented spanglish.
"Buenos Noches my friensss, an welcome…"

Baron grunts "What do you need?" he then takes a bite of his candybar, watching the
Johnson, the datacable still trailing down into his jacket to his RCdeck, just in case the
crap hits the fan he can have reinforcements in a few seconds.

Carefully Critter climbs into one of the seats. She pulls herself up onto her
stomach and then she presses upwards on her thigh. This time, she's planned ahead. She
clunks down her helmet and she takes a seat on top of it. She now can see easily over the
table and she looks towards the J, her eyes looking a little distant.

The J smiles widely again, his grill catching one of the spotlights for just a
second causing a flash in the small booth. He winks and gestures towards Baron, "Ahh
ssstraight to de werk el patron, gud gud, me lik dat.." He reaches over and shoots an amber
liquid, then pours himself another from the bottle on the table. He leans in to the table,
smelling of cheap synthtequila and sweat.."I need a courier…joo take sumfin to sumwun fer
me an den follow dem back to dey place. Joo come back 'ere an tell me where dey take it an I
give joo 10k each…eh?" He sits back as if he had just offered you the motherload, reaching
over his shoulder to fondle a dancer as she passes behind the booth towards the stage.

Baron grunts and nods "Sounds simple enough, now, where exactly do we deliver the
package, if its somewhere in the FTZ, well, that gets a bit trickier, cause if this guy
blows up later, we will be on camera delivering said package."

"How big is it," asks Critter as she looks across the table at Hex, her eyes drawing
more into focus. She smiles a little as she looks over towards Baron before back at the J.
She rests her hands on the table, thumbs under it to help her maintain her balance on the
curve of her helmet.

The J reaches under the table and pulls out a gym bag. It is a regular sized gym
bag, colored blue and green with a zipper along the top and a carrying handle. He sets it on
the table and smiles, not at all appearing to be concerned about anyone in the bar seeing
the transaction. "It about dis size eh?" He laughs and waves his arms towards Baron, "Take
it my frien, but do not open it eh, joo open it an de deal is off.." He reaches down and
takes another shot from his glass and again refills. Liquid courage or just a heavy drinker,
who knows at this point.

Baron leans forward and reaches for the bag, hefting it up with one hand to judge its
weight and composition, then setting it down between him and critter, in case she wants to
look at it. "Alright, so where is recipient at?"

The bag weighs about 6 kilos and is able to be lifted easily. It doesnt slosh nor
does the weight shift when you lift it and move it. The J smiles widely again, "Gud gud,
dissss gud binezz…..joo make da drop in da warrens near da Orktown. Dere a man called el
Zorro or dey Fox meet joo. He be on a blue Harley Scorpion dat hab da grim reapa on da tank.
Joo know him….joo know him…joo give him dey bag an den follow him, he not know joo
follow eh?" He grins drunkenly and tosses back another shot.

Checking the weight of the bag in her hands, Critter nods as she feels that she can
lift it. She tracks her eyes across to the Johnson and she says, "We can do that." She hmns
and falls quiet, shifting her attention to Baron allowing him to handle the talking on this.

Baron grunts and nods "That can be arranged, and we meet back here to get our payment
then, correct?" He finishes his candybar, and wads the wrapper up and puts it in a pocket.

Tugging her lips to the side, Critter touches the bag and she drops down off her
helmet. While she understands that she's not allowed to open it, she knows Christmas
presents. Her small hands trace over the bag, trying to feel the shape of the contents. She
places her ear to it to listen to it as well she can in the noise of the club.

«Plot» Rush says, " No ticking or any other sound coming from the bag. It appears to be
one solid mass about the size of a shoebox."

The J nods to Baron and takes a shot, "Jes joo come back 'ere an I pay joo da 10K
fer da job." He raises one finger groggily, "If! Ifn joo can tell me where dey Fox go…" He
chuckles and makes a barking noise in his throat and winks at Baron. "Sokay, joo do dis
jes?" He waves a hand towards the bag and then the door, "Go go now, arriba!" He laughs out
loud and waves to another passing dancer, pulling a wadded up wad of bills out of a pocket.

Baron turns to Critter and nods, grunting and waiting for her to climb out of the seat,
then he stands up and picks up the package. He starts to head towards the door, letting his
stomach lead the way through the crowds. He sends a command to his RV to come up to the bar
and wait outside for pickup.

Once again Critter moves out of the seat and she grabs her helmet. Nodding her
thanks to Baron as he grabs the bag she moves to follow him. She stuffs her gloved hands
into her pockets as she moves in the rotund man's wake. She looks a little thoughtful as she
plans how to handle this situation.

Baron loads into his RV, making room for Critters little bike. He then programs the RV
to head to the warrens. "Alright, this sounds simple enough. I send my drone into the air to
watch from overhead, you follow the guy on the magic side of things, and we both track him
to his lair. Sound like a plan?"

Nods as her bike is loaded up. She clambers up the steps into the RV and she looks
to Baron. She smiles and she says, "Yep, that's what I was thinking. Just don't move this
once I go astral. I'll call a little watcher spirit, then when I follow the van I can have
it remain in place. After that, I can kinda guide you back to where it is I think."

Baron grunts and heads the RV to the edge of the warrens. Once there, he stops and
releases his Blimp drone, sending it up to an altitude of 900 meters with a advertisement
for NERPS on the side of it. "Alright, I'll have the drone follow him too, just enough to
keep him in sight." he starts taking control of the RV and heading for the edge of Orktown.

The meet is in the parking lot of an abandoned apartment complex in the Orktown part
of the Warrens. The area is filled with garbage and burnt out vehicles of all types and
descriptions. There are multiple squatters standing around fire barrels, more for the light
than the warmth.

Sitting in the corner of the parking lot is a small group of bikes. There are six
human males sitting around the bikes, leaning on the various burnt out cars and other
obstructions in the parking lot. One of the males, who is actually reclining on his bike
with his feet up on the handlebars, fits the description of the Fox.

Baron parks his RV down the block from the meeting sight. He has the blimp hover about
900 meters above the targets, ready in case of any trouble. He grunts and gets up,

Curling up on one of the sofas, Critter says, "Come to me my little friends. Give
me your company for a few hours. I need your help with a task." She sounds sleepy as she
says this, her words drifting off. Small spirits drift up to her dozing around her astral
form as she slips free of her body. Once in the astral space she says, "Come with me,"
giving them instruction.

Baron steps out of the RV with the bag, and his invisible drone in tow, and starts
heading for the meet. He waddles his way down the street, with a visible ares predator III
at his hip. He looks around anxiously as he approaches the group of men on bikes, but doesnt
stop until he gets close or one of them stops him first.

The Fox, closes his eyes where he lay on his bike for a few moments. The rest of the
crew there continuing their banter in Spanish and at times, heavily accented English. After
a few moments the Fox opens his eyes again and barks something at them in Spanish and they
stand, getting off their bikes. One moves towards Baron to meet him and the others take up
crossfire positions on the fat man. They move like pros and have eyes as dead as the burnt
out cars around them. All are armed visibly now, assault rifles with shoulder holstered
pistols being the flavor of the day. Two of them in the back pull out goggles and fit them
into place over their eyes before starting to scan the area for threats.

The one approaching Baron smiles widely and raises his hands, "Das far 'nuff el
gordo, what joo want 'ere?" His smile is wide and white, brillant even in the gloom of the
Warrens night.

«Plot» Rush says, " Anyone speak Spanish?"

«Auto-Judge[]» Baron (#3002) has the Language Spanish with the value '1 (4)'.

«Plot» Rush says, " The majority of the conversation was banter, talking about each
others mother etc. When the Fox woke up he told them to get ready and all banter died to
quick military like commands."

Remaining inside the van, at least astrally Critter twirls her fingers around
between the ears of the small raccoon shaped spirits. They trill happily and scamper around
her as she watches the scene outside through one of the windows.

Baron grunts and hefts the bag in his hand "Delivery for the Fox." he says simply,
though he sends a command for the drone to raise its arm above his head, an assault rifle
mounted to its left arm and visible on the astral plane. "I'm not here to cause trouble, but
be sure I can finish it."

The tough sneers and bows mockingly, turning to one side to allow Baron to pass. The
Fox sits up on the bike and then tosses a leg over the side of the bike to stand. The
ringing of spurs on his boots as his feet hit the ground comes to your ears. "Welcome senor,
what do joo hab foer dey Fox dere eh?" The bike matches the description given to you by Hex
and so does the man. He takes a few steps towards you and crosses his arms over his chest.

«Plot» Rush says, " Critter from the astral you can see what appears to be a miniature
grim reaper sitting on the shoulder of the Fox. It is scanning the area in the astral. As

Baron approaches it grows in size to man size and stalks Baron in the astral, its scythe
extremely close to the fat man."

«Plot» Critter says, "Does Baron have any magical tattoos or foci on him?"

The long tongue sweeps across her muzzle as the Raccoon mask shows clearly on
Critter's aura, her totem a part of her. She looks to the smaller 'coons next to her and she
says, "If I attack, attack the one I am fighting." She grips her tiny paws into small fists
as she gets ready to spring.

Baron leans over and lays the duffle bag on the ground at the Fox's feet "I was told to
deliver this to you, I got no clue whats in it, not my business. Unless you got something
else, then I'm going to head back home."

The Fox reaches down and collects the bag and then turns and walks back to his bike.
He puts it on the back of the bike and ties it down with cargo straps. He turns back to
Baron and nods to him, "Alright senor, joo take off…gracias…" The Fox waves a hand in
salute and dismissal as the rest of his people continue to scan the area for threats.

In the Astral the Grim Reaper like character stops its stalking and moves back to
the Fox and stands behind him, motionless, like a statue.

Baron grunts and turns around, once he has walked past his drone, it walks backwards
behind him, following him back as he heads to the RV, still holding its gun ready in case
someone gets stupid.

As the reaper leaves, Critter slides into her body again the two spirits remain
aware. She peers out through the windows, watching The Fox and his hounds. She looks
astrally at her two watchers as she gets ready for what has to come next.

The Fox and his crew continue to scan the area, obviously wanting Baron to leave
first in this situation. They maintain their vigil and the Fox returns to his bike, lays
down, feet on the handle bars and closes his eyes.

On the astral you see the Fix rise from his meat body and begin to speak to the Grim
Reaper. The cowled head on the Reaper turns to look at the vehicle and then back to the Fox,
nodding once.

Baron climbs back into his RV, his drone following him inside. He moves over and starts
to set the RV to head to the Rez area of the warrens, parking near the Bastille. Baron leaps
into his Blimp drone, watching the fox from above.

Once the RV rolls to a stop, Critter jumps out of her body, well astrally. Her
small form slides free and the spirits she summoned dance around her as she takes in the
sights of the Warren's astral. She gets ready to dart in the direction she was last, ready
to follow The Fox.

As your senses are pulled into the drone and astral, your sight moves back towards
the area where the meeting took place. As you arrive you notice that all of the men there
are on their bikes and have started rolling out of the parking lot. As you focus in on the
men you notice that they all…look…alike… The six bikes break out and go in seperate
directions on different streets. LOOSE THE HOUNDS!

«Plot» Critter saw the Fox' aura she can follow him!

«Plot» Rush says, " When you look back at the starting sight, you notice that one of the
bikes should have run over a small oil patch but there is no track in the oil."

Baron frowns slightly as his vid screen shows the bikers all taking off, but honestly,
there is no point chasing them, none of them have the package, and more than likely its a
magical disguise or illusion, he focuses his attention on the location where the bikers
left, scanning it with ultrasound and radar. He gets some hits, and tries to lock in on
those blips that dont match up to visual scanning.

«Plot» Critter says, "I am zipping back to the meeting place with my Watchers on hand."
«Plot» Rush says, " Ok Critter, Perception test TN6 please."

«Auto-Judge[]» Critter (#10251) rolls Intelligence vs TN 6 for "Lookin'!":

«Auto-Judge[]» Critter (#10251) rolls Intelligence vs TN 6 for "Lookin'! KP 4/7":

Keeping at a high elevation, Critter zooms back towards the meeting location. She
hovers in the air looking around until at last she spots the crowd of bikers hidden in the
protective aura of the spirit.

«Auto-Judge[]» Baron (#3002) rolls Intelligence vs TN 7 for "Sensor Check to keep an eye
on the bikes":
1 1 1 1 4 5 5 8 = 1 Success

«Plot» Critter says, "Going to send the shorter lived watcher back to Baron to let him
know they are still there."

The little raccoon appears near Baron and it says, "Big human. Fox has no moved,
hiding with a spirit." The message is repeated twenty times as the spirit bounces around
Baron's head.

Baron grunts "Go tell her I know, and I can track them on radar, but if they split up,
I'll need to know which one to track." He then returns his concentration to his drones
sensor readings.

The bikes start up and roll out of the parking lot, slow and steady into the late
night streets of the Warrens. They move as a pack, at each intersection a different bike
peels off and roars into the night, its cloak of spirit disappearing and its invisibility
dropping.

Finally there is just one bike with the spirit riding along shotgun in the astral as the
bike and spirit head out towards Castle Rock. Once you arrive in Castle Rock the bikes
disappears into a warded building on the edge of the city.

Baron follows along with his drone, as the bikes become visible, he marks them off his
list of potential targets, and sticks to following the ones harder to spot. His drone has
alot of range, but once they leave the warrens, he starts up the RV and starts after the
bikes. Following from a distance, his Blimp though moves at a good speed and can keep in
range easily since it doesnt have to follow roads.

Following on the Astral is easy, with her spirit at her side, Critter zips through
the space and she looks around. She furrows her brows a little, getting a feel for her
location. When the spirit returns from Baron's location she says, "Follow me back to my
body," to the one with a longer span. That said she zips off back to Baron leaving the other
watcher to remain in position.

The building outside the astral is labeled "Benny's Garage" and appears to be just
that. There are several cars outside in various states of repair as well as multiple junk
cars in the lot. You can see several people moving around in the bays working on vehicles
even at this hour of the night. The bay that the bike rolled in to has no lights on and the
door closed.

Baron drives along, stopping once near Castle Rock and waiting for Critter to return to
her body, hopefully she will use a watcher to find Baron, and follow that watcher to her
body. He zooms in with his blimp drone, gets the name of the place and finds an address,
then simply waits to see how long the guy will stay here.

«Plot» Rush says, " How long are you going to wait?"

Thankfully Baron listened to her before he moved the van, otherwise she would have
trouble finding her body. She snaps her eyes awake as she says, "I'm here," sounding a
little sleepy.

Baron grunts as he lies on the bed, still focused on the drone watching the building.

The clock strikes 12 and the mouse doesnt run down the clock. The work continues on
the vehicles in the garage but of the Fox there is no sign. As a matter of fact, no one
leaves the garage or arrives while you are there.

Baron shakes his head and looks to critter "Why dont you go take your bike and head
back to the johnson. I'll call you if the target moves, otherwise I think this is it for
us."

Climbing up from her seat, Critter says, "Okie," and she leaves the RV. She pulls
her bike down and gets it situated. She then pulls her helmet on and straps it into place.
Once the engine is revved she zips off heading to the Meat Locker to meet the Johnson.

The crowd has mellowed a bit at the Meat locker since you left. The night getting
later and the crowd dying down somewhat on a Wednesday night. The J is right where you left
him, three sheets to the wind and practically comatose at the table. He has a dancer sitting
with him at the table and when she sights Critter come in the door she nudges the Latino
until he wakes up bleary eyed and waves to the gnome.

Baron sits patiently in his RV, watching the feed from his drones Sensors, doing
frequent radar sweeps to make sure no ones trying to sneak away invisibly.

«Plot» Rush says, " Captain the sonar is clear."

Climbing up into a seat, Critter looks over at Hax and she says, "We found the
foxhole." She blinks a few times and she says, "When you're ready I can tell ya where he's
at." She taps the comm in her ear and she says, "The big guy is watching it now."

The J grins groggily and leans in to the table. "So whut joo hab for me lil wun eh?"
He licks his lips in anticipation, looking greedily at the gnome as she relays the
information he asked for. As he listens he reaches into a pocket and pulls out two certified
cred sticks and a pocsec. He types slowly with one finger but eventually gets all the
information provided into the pocsec. After he finishes he passes over the credsticks to the
gnome. "Joo fank el gordo fo me eh?" He grins greedily again and pours himself yet another
shot and downs it.

Baron remains in his RV, taking the time to nuke a bowl of ramen noodles while he waits
for Critter to send him the all clear, or come bring him his pay. He is patient and keeps
his eye on the building.

Collecting the credsticks, Critter nods to the Johnson and she departs. Climbing
onto her little bike, she zips down the streets. As she rides she opens an encrypted channel
to Baron and she says, "Payday," heading towards his last known location.

Commlink-Baron> Baron says, "Good, where do you want to meet?"
Commlink-Critter> Critter says, "On the way to you."

Baron collects his Blimp drone and waits for Critter to show up and give him his cut.
