Synopsis: Vixen's child has been taken hostage. It's up to Katsuo and Vixen to get her back.

Katsuo will hop on his motorcycle and zoom over there!
Vixen is pacing like a caged tiger. Her car keys in her hand and a gun in the other. Like she'd love to shoot something but doesn't have a target.
Katsuo's bike comes up in a roar. "I came as quick as he could," he says. "Who has your child? Where are they? How many do I need to kill?"
Vixen shakes her head and hands you her phone. "I got a textmm, Anonymous of course. I'm assuming Veritaus. I've been trying to get a hold of Angel. But he's not answering… Which is bad. This is bad." She frowns, "I don't have a choice. I have to go…" She nods, "He wants me to go to a small airport not far from here."
Katsuo says "Think. Do not act in haste." He studies the woman. "It is a trap. Use your skills, and deck out information first. Make sure they have her before you give yourself away."
Vixen takes a breath and shakes her head, "I can't reach any of Angel's team." She frowns and then says, "Angel's sister adopted her. But she's not picking up her phone either. It's like the whole damn tribe is off the reservation."
Katsuo says "Don't call. Deck. They have to have security. Access their systems and see what's there. They could have veritas there, and have gone to ground."
Vixen bites her lip and nods and say's, "The airport cams. Maybe I can get into them and see whats waiting for us there?" She sighs, "I purposefully don't know where Angel's sister lives. The phone number I had is for emergencies only." Her entire being is calling for action. This doesn't feel like action. "Okay…" She moves to a cabinet and pulls out her deck.
Katsuo says "I will act to… slow things down, while you do that."
PLOT Katsuo will call tammy tucker, pay her to hand a news story to the police about terrorist flight in the area, grounding all aircraft for the next few hours.
Vixen nods and say's, "The airport they want me to go to is really out of the way. Nothing but private shit going in and out."

Vixen jacks in and has no problem accessing the security cameras. Within moments she's sifting through them all and then finds what she's looking for. A small private jet near a hanger, with two black limos. 8 men *that she can see* armed with assault rifles in the area. No sign of the kid… But the plates on the limo… She logs off gracefully. Her hands clench into fists.
And of course she fights the IC and puts it down theatrically… But you didn't see that!

GM Note: Tammy and Pulse have had a long-standing working relationship, dating back to the days when she was a lowly sports-interviewer back in beantown. They've gone out a few times, had a few good nights, but nothing serious. Tammy respects and admires Pulse's physical prowess, and the professional way with which he carries himself. She's more than willing to feed him information on her latest scoop, and has been known to ask him to 'escort' her through some dangerous areas.
Katsuo says "That's why I'm not calling in a bomb threat. I want to make a no-fly zone for a while. Buy us time."
Katsuo has finished his call by then. "I need a katana," he says, quietly. "I feel like half a warrior without it. A samurai without a soul."
Vixen grins, "I have a Machete.” Vixen nods, "Its Veritaus. The plates are MCT. Veritaus's parent company." She confirms. Vixen nods, "8 hostiles that I could see, armed with assault rifles. Two limos. A private jet. No sign of the kid." She runs down the details.
Katsuo grunts. "The monosword, if you still have it, will have to do. The machete… too short." He seems to think it over. "You said 8, that you could see? That's… a lot. Hard to kill that many in a single pass."
Katsuo says "Did they say where the kid would be? Or just, we have your child, meet us here?"
Vixen nods, "I got a lot of explosives." She sighs, "I just don't want to risk hurting the kid." She frowns. "And explosives are a little hard to control." She nods to Katsuo. They just said they have her and to meet them at the airport."
Katsuo says "so she might not even be in the car. And you have no proof they even have her. That needs to be confirmed." He closes his eyes. "Did they tell you to come alone?"
Vixen shakes her head, "No. They didn't say alone. But I'm sure that it was implied." She frowns at her phone. "I could call them back and insist that they prove that she's safe."
Katsuo nods. "Yes. They will not expect you to be a fool. Do that." He rises. "In fifteen minutes. I will already be en route. Will arrive before you, and attempt to make myself… secret."
Vixen bites her lip. "Maybe I can even tell them that I have access to the security cams and I want them to show me that she is safe? That way we can know if she's at the airport?"

"That is a fantastic idea," he says, grabbing a helmet. "Keep me in formed. I'll tie my cellphone to my bike's hud." He salutes her. "We will get her back, Vixen-Sama. On my oath as a Yashi." He turns and, slinging the monosword around his back, swaggers out.
It takes a little while for Vixen to hack the number from her phone. Finally though… She succeeds and makes the call. A familiar voice answers. "Eve! I wondered how long it would take you to call me back. I assume you are on your way? Or for your daughters sake I hope you are." Vixen doesn't waste words turning to the camera feed she still has access to. "I've got access to the security cams at the airport. Where's my kid? I'm not about to give myself over to you unless I know she's safe… Is she in one of those fancy limos?" Proving she has access to the cameras.
There's a pause and then Vixen see's one of the limo's doors open and two people come out of the car. A man dressed in an expensive suit pulls a smaller blindfolded young girl from the back of one of the cars. She's held there for a while then shoved back into the vehicle. Vixen tilts her head a bit and then gets a feral smile. "I'm so glad to know that you are there to greet me in person. I'll be there soon."
Katsuo, meanwhile, is galloping down the highway on his steel horse, leaning forward on the bike to help decrease his wind resistance. The bike is a speed demon, swift as a moonbeam. A girl's life could hang in the balance.
Katsuo does not take kindly to children in danger.
Vixen gets her gear, which includes her gun and her knives. She keys her comlink and says, "He's there Kat. And he has a kid. I don't know if it's my kid." You are pretty sure you know who she means by HE.
PLOT Vixen says, "OKay she'll give you the setup. Unknown number of men in the cars. The windows are tinted. There are 8 hostiles with assault rifles ranging around the perimeter of the private jet. Unknown number of people in the jet. Car closest to the jet holds soon to be dead husband and daughter."
Vixen gets in her van and drives towards the airport. Her eyes cold and her fingers clenched on the wheel imagining that it's the good doctors throat! She's exactly 15 minutes behind you.
PLOT: Katsuo will arrive at the airport, park in the parking lot. Will move to cover to observe, and get as close as he can to the limo without breaking cover.
Katsuo says "I will approach as best I can. Come on, as if in good faith. Demand your daughter be shown to you when you arrive. when she is… I will kill someone. Then you act. Get her, get in the car, use it for cover. I will make sure the car does not go anywhere."

Katsuo creeps a little lower, watching the gaurd… if he gets too close, it's time for a metal gear solid/ghost recon/splinter cell moment.

He waits for a bit scanning the area and fails to see you. Moving back towards the cars and speaks into a wrist comm giving the all clear.
Katsuo doesn't snap in frustration, but he feels like it. He waits, eying the chosen car. It will be a hell of a thing… and a narrow thing. «When you get into the car,» he says, subvocalizing into his helmet. «I need you to ensure the doors remain unlocked. Or else this plan will not work.»
Commlink-Silver> Vixen says, "OK. What plan?"
Commlink-Colorado> Katsuo says, "I cause a distraction. You dive with the girl into the car… I get into the driver's seat, kill the driver, and we roll away."

Commlink-Silver> Vixen says, "Okay… Can we make sure that my husband dies in this plan?"

Vixen parks and gets out of the van. Her gun holstered at her back. She walks without hesitation towards the back of the terminal. Hands free of weapons.
Katsuo slides a small, silenced pistol out of its holster, makes sure the APDS is loaded, and prepares.
The guards come to attention when she appears and point their weapons at her direction. "Let the girl go." She calls out. "Now." She holds her hands up in the traditional sign of surrender.
Breath in, breath out. Clear the mechanism. Find the stillness: act with no mind. Katsuo prepares himself.

One of the guards calls out. "Drop your weapons on the ground." Vixen shakes her head, "Girl first. Or you aren't getting shit."
The door to the limo opens and a small blindfolded girl climbs out of the car. One of the guards takes her in hand and say's, "OK. Now… You drop your weapons and she gets to walk." Vixen starts walking towards the kid. "Stop!" The guard orders but she just keeps walking towards the girl.

Katsuo pivots out of cover, levels his aim on the speaking gaurd's face, and pulls the trigger…

Katsuo's bullet is perfect, right between the eyes, in one end and out the other. He's a sturdy man, but the armor piercing bullet is just enough… and he's already on his way to the driver's side of the car, faster than believable.
Vixen starts running towards the car and the little girl who is standing looking shocked and immobilized at the sudden death of the guard. The other guards start looking for where the bullet came from and chaos ensues!

Katsuo is an all-black shape with a silenced pistol. He's big and trackable, but it causes minor eyestrain for those with real eyes!

Katsuo's not as fast as he wants to be- but moving in the void has it's downside. A man fires a spray of bullets at him… it doesn't even slow it down. He reaches the car, pivoting and ducking to use it as cover from enemy fire, hopefully cutting off some line of sight… and gets ready to rip open the driver side door!
One of the guards gets a bead on the blur that is Katsuo and aims at the man shooting a burst of fire in his direction almost blindly! Another of the guards pulls the trigger towards Vixen as she starts to sprint towards the girl on the opposite side of the car. A spray of bullets bounces harmlessly off her armor. It takes a moment for her to realize that the bullets aren't hard but those wimpy gel things. But then… That's a lot of wimp that adds up over time. Shit!

Vixen charges full steam into the guy closest to the kid slamming into him with both feet and robbing him of his breath almost caving in his lungs and she keeps going towards the girl sweeping her up into her arms and slamming into door.

The driver of the car starts to panic with a katsuo by his side, and he hits the gas. The car starts to move, but Katsuo is quick, holding on… somehow… rolling on top of the car and preparing to get a way in. «GET YOU AND GIRL IN CAR!» He shouts into his mic. «FAST!» Hopefully the rear passenger door is still open…

The car's getting away. He can't leave vixen: so the escape has turned into a bloodbath. He finds his center, turns on the middle of the speeding car, and leaps.
Everything seems to slow for the Japanese samurai as he enters bullet-time. His target, the one that shot him first…. Katsuo spins his body towards him in mid air even as his body goes perpendicular in the air. His eyes glow garnet, barely visible through his helmet's faceplate… he breathes in, centers his virtual reticule on the man's head… pulls the trigger.
Perfect shot between the eyes. The armor-piercing bullet goes in the front, out the back, leaving nothing but a hole and trailing blood…
And the Japanese samurai hits the ground in a roll, using his new prone position as cover.
Easy as breathing.

Vixen pulls her gun, keeping the girl behind her and turns the Predator on the guy who tried to grab her… Sending a bullet through his throat… like a butter knife through butter…only butter doesn't bleed. Her bullet shreds through his armor into his chest and he goes down… Probably didn't even feel it… Then she's moving towards the second limo… picking the kid up in her arms and starts to run!

Katsuo's up on his feet now, and as he does the gun gets holstered… and the sword comes out. The man who came out of nowhere. The man who has killed two men with two perfectly placed shot, one in mid air. The man who has absorbed every single bullet they've put into him without slowing down. The man who stands as tall as a mountain, with shoulders twice as broad… and the man who is running the tip of the sword through the asphalt at his feet as he prepares himself, bringing it up, showing off his tremendous strength. "I give you this chance," he says, clearly, his voice louder than it should be but very firm. "Leave." He turns towards the oncoming car, and holds his sword ready to go. "Now."

The guards… All four of them stare at Katsuo as he does this.. They look at each other… Taking into account they are packing wimpy gel that can't possibly hurt him, the dead guards littering the tarmac… And then they back the Fuck out! "Ain't gettin paid enough for this shit!" And they rush towards the remaining limo!
Vixen comes to a halt and puts the girl down and says, "Run to the terminal!" Shoving the girl in the direction she wants her to go. Safe. She wants her safe. The little girl looks like she's in shock… But with Vixen's encouragement she starts to run as fast as she can… Pigtails flying in the wind.
And the black limo comes at Katsuo like a speeding bullet.
Somewhere in the distance the sound of a chopper can be heard. Oh is that the Calvary coming to investigate that call Katsuo made? Great timing! Typical bureaucrats.

The other car takes off with the four remaining guards… The driver… Judging by how fast he's peeling rubber out of here is happy to be obliging the guards order to drive the hell out of here.
Katsuo is ready for the attack. As the gaurds scatter, the car comes speeding towards him, and he tenses. The void is getting more difficult, but he still holds it… and in that instant he springs, twisting in the air. He rolls up the side, the impact hugely jarring, but he manages to hold on, grabbing the top of the car with an outstretched hand just before he goes over the top… and now he's in position again, and the sword is ready in his other hand.
Let's. Get. Dangerous.

The man in the back screams as a bullet slams into the window and the crazy Street Sam jumps onto the car like a maniac. He decides the time is right to get the hell out of dodge. He ducks down to avoid flying bullets or glass, "Drive. Get the fuck out of here!"
They try to shake him free, but the street samurai will not be loosed. He buries the sword in the roof of the car for leverage, and holds on with all his strength. It is enough… but barely.
Vixen growls and starts running for the car when it comes to a screeching halt… The driver hits the accellerator again. "Damnit Katsuo! Stop the driver!" She turns and starts running after the car like a crazy woman… Of course she can't out run a car! But she sure is trying!

The nicely dressed anything but a gentleman doctor kicks out the damaged window on the passenger side and pokes his gun up at the riding Katsuo to try and shoot him off the car. He isn't loaded with gel. His gun is a Salvette Guardian. But he's not very skilled. When does he have time to learn to shoot… When he's so busy trying to rule the world through SCIENCE! And he's shooting at a weird angle… But no guts no glory as the rebels used to say. And of course the shot is made even more difficult as the moving vehicle gets… Stopped! Abruptly!

The sounds of the chopper get closer
Katsuo grunts. He doesn't get out of the way enough, and the bullet singes through his thigh. His vision flashes red. He tries to hold on to the void, holds the rim of the car, stabs again… and this time he gets lung, burying the sword deep.

Katsuo is bleeding freely now, one of his targets down, and he sees his primary. "Gaijin," he says. "I am the bringer of death. I won your passage." His free hand moves to his side, and his pistol is pulled free, the small-bore weapon is pulled free in a single graceful motion. He pulls the trigger, putting a bullet in the man's chest. It's not enough to kill, not yet, but the internal damage is brutal. The car wheels out of control, but the samurai holds on, his red eyes blazing.
The car has rolled to a sloppy stop as the driver slumps against the wheel… The bullet you shoot into Vixen's husband reverberates loudly. Vixen doesn't of course listen to you about exploding people… Because she's worried about you! She reaches the car… Sucking in breath.
Blood oozes from the doctors chest…Pools in his mouth and he spits out blood. He looks down at his wounds and then back up into Katsuo's face and smiles. Actually smiles and then Vixen is not far…and he yells with his last remaining strength something in French!, "Guerrier Renard!" Then… "Eve. Kill. Him!" It's likely the last thing he will ever say.

Pauly wouldn't do it. Pauly loves her too much.
But Katsuo is a pragmatist.
He speaks loudly. "Guerrier Renard! Stand down." He straightens, bleeding from his thigh, but right now, it doesn't matter. "Guerrier Renard! Freedom protocol. This command line no longer to be acknowledged."
Vixen has a long blank moment… Then blinks as she acknowledges the change in the protocol. "Understood." Then bling… She's back again. Blinking into the night and looks into the limo. "You did it. He's really dead." Suddenly feeling freedom roll through her like a song. But then she is all business. "We gotta get out of here! And I gotta get my kid!"
Whomp Whomp Whomp WHomp. The sound of the chopper is like a clarion call. "Shit." She sighs, "I do not want to go back to jail."
«OOC» Katsuo huggles his voice modulator.
Katsuo says "You won't. Slip out. There's no evidence of you here." He holsters his pistols, grabs the sword. "They will have bodies, and bullets, but nothing else." A look to his own blood here and there, and he sighs. A reach into his pocket, a little bit of ammonia spray. "GO!" He says. "I will be out momentarily. No more jail!"
Vixen nods and then turns and starts running (again!)for where she sent her daughter. It's not that big of a place and she finds the girl hiding in the bathroom! Then she sneaks out with her back to her van and the girl watches her with huge scared eyes. "It's ok… It's going to be ok." She keeps saying this all the way to Narnia. The kid doesn't make a sound.
Later. The Mooreland Apartment Complex.

Vixen comes in after a bit carrying a small child. There's no stealth involved in this one. She looks fierce! The kid looks… Terrified! Possibly in shock. This child looks to be about 10 years old.
Azul only sleeps when the machines in her head tell her to. Hearing people coming in, she pokes her head out of the door.

Katsuo quietly turns on the lights. "This is my employer's residence," he tells the girl. "His daughter lives here, too. You will be safe." His garnet eyes flick to Vixen's. "Is she hurt?"
Vixen sets the kid down on the couch…but she has a death lock around Vixen's neck. She frowns and and say's, "Come on kid. Let me just…" Finally she pries the childs death hold and feels instant guilt looking at her. "I'll be right back." She promises. "I'm just going to talk to him." She points at the big killing machine in the doorway. Then she slowly backs away from the child, sort of like she's a bomb about to go off… She turns to Katsuo, marches right up to him, places her hands on either side of his cheek and lays on a kiss that should rock the mountains very foundations! This is a kiss full of fire and passion and lots of other things that she can't possibly say… But damn its good to be alive!

Katsuo's eyes go from red… to blue, and his hands close around the woman's waist as he swings her around, pushes to the wall, and returns that kiss twice as hard.
Vixen gets pushed against the wall and looses herself in that kiss. The kid…STARES! Like she's never seen two people kiss before… Well probably not like this!
The child say's her first words aloud. "That's not talking."
Pulse runs his hand down Vixen's cheek, and looks down at the little girl. "It is not," he says, still using Katsuo's voice. "Or maybe it is. A kiss is a secret whispered to the lips."
Vixen smiles softly into those glowing blue eyes and says softly, "It was a really good secret." She feels like a new woman. "Its over Pauly. It's really over." She grins. "And you are amazing by the way."
The glow slowly fades. "You mean, Katsuo is," he says. "I… am not as creative in my solutions as he is. He's like a bad action trid come to life." He touches her cheek again. "I mean, I am. Katsuo. I am katsuo." He turns and crouches down in front of the girl. "I am called Katsuo. I work for mr. Lucianno, who loves your mother very much."
The little girl nods and tries to understand that. "He'll probably get mad that you were kissing her then."
Vixen rolls her eyes a bit and nods, "Ohkay." Clearing her throat and nodding a bit as she plays along with the keeping of certain secrets.
She quickly changes the uncomfortable subject. "Time to find out where your mommy is. Can you tell me how the bad guys got you?"
She shakes her head, "No. I woke up in the car. I don't know how I got there."
Vixen hmmms, "Probably a tranq dart. What's the last thing you remember before waking up?"
She frowns, "I was walking home from school." She looks flummoxed.
"Where's your uncle Angel? Do you know?"Vixen asks.
The little girl shakes her head, "No. He usually comes over for Christmas though. Are you my mom?" Vixen shakes her head in instant denial. And gets a panicked look on her face.
Pulse gives Vixen a sharp look, himself, but then looks back at the girl. "We'll make sure your uncle Angel is okay," he continues. "That's what I do. That's what I was born for." He looks towards Azul's room for a moment. "I make sure no little girls have to go without the people that care about them."
The girl nods and watches Vixen like a hawk. Sure that Vixen isn't telling the truth. "That man said you were my mom."
Vixen shrugs, "Well that man was crazy." The girl gets a stubborn look in her eyes… That is the exact replica of Vixen's stubborn look. Yeah… Wow. EXACT.
Commlink-Colorado> Pulse says, "You could probably use the mommy-hugs."
Commlink-Silver> Vixen says, "Pauly….Thin ice love. (Warning in that tone)
Vixen backs up like the kid is dynamite and she's the fire and say's, "OK. Let me see if I can get a hold of anyone who might know where they are okay? And… Yeah." She pulls out her cellphone and AGAIN tries all her emergency contact numbers. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. "Damnit." She turns to the kid, "Amanda. It's Amanda right? Do you have any phone nunbers of your family?" But not being able to reach someone is not GOOD news.
Pulse goes to the kitchen for a moment. «It changes you,» he says. «But I won't make your decision for you. I didn't realize she didn't know who you were.» He comes back holding three tall glasses of chocolate milk.
Commlink-Silver> Vixen says, "She's seen me before. But when she was like 3. I don't know what Angel and her adoptive family have told her."
Commlink-Colorado> Pulse says, "Clearly she knows she's adopted, otherwise the no confusion over mother."
Commlink-Silver> Vixen says, "I don't know what they have told her about -me-. I'm not supposed to be anywhere near her. I've watched her from afar but… There's a no contact order. I'm crazy remember? It's better for her if she just… You know thinks that I'm out of the picture.
She then gives the kid her phone, "Be a doll and make some calls."
