Log: Eguoren

GM: Posh
Players: Bull, Blackheart, Posh, Oz, Feather
Synopsis: Posh gets a tipoff from Trevor about an out of town crew the Black Chrysanthemums are bringing into town – a Vory hit squad that has gone freelance. She shares this information with Blackheart, Bull, Feather, and Oz, arranging a hit on the hit squad, in a desperate fight in an underground parking garage.
Date: 11/6/2075

It's a rather nice day, but the ongoing war between the Red Dragon Triad and the Black Chrysanthemums has led to an uptick in criminal activity. However, the gang wars between the Triads tend to have even less spillover than the conflicts that others do, and so there is barely a blip on the news. Something about 'suspected organized crime activity in Asiantown,' but 'a few weak, shadowy organizations will never threaten a PANICBUTTON customer!' she says.

However, each of you soon gets a little blip. A text message. It's Posh.

Drop me an address…we've got something we need to move quick on." Since Posh is sharing an apartment with Feather and Blackheart, she's there to just grin when both of those look over to her. Bull, well, she needs to swing by the Keeps anyway to head by the stash, so it really is just a one stop there and then everyone would be in the van together.

Bull is usually pretty easy to find. He spends his time generally wherever Posh has put him, and shoots things that shouldn't go near it, him, or the belongings. Bulls life is a simple life. "Sup." He grunts to Posh as he sidels into the large vehicle with his usual loadout, and massive dikote'd axe. Just in case. Its left in the van though.

"What's on the cooker?" Blackheart wonders as Posh hints that there's a job to do. She gets up and heads to the closet to get her coat and scarf for the chill outside.

"Sadly, says Posh a little apologetically, "I've got a friend who needs a favor done. And I'm a little short on cash right now," she says. "I was hoping to pay the both of you back in surgery. Which is not much of a pay-back, since I've been doing it for free, at least, ever since I squared things up with you, Bull," she says. "But," she says, heading up to the place at the Keeps where her shadow clinic and where the Omens headquarters is presently. "It's too bad we haven't seen Oz lately, I get the impression he must have been visiting his…well, doing his away time that he sometimes does," she says.

"In any case, the general job parameters are this. I got another tip from Trevor that he needs a favor, and he has only about twenty grand immediately available…but I suppose that’s organized crime for you, runs as much if not or more on favors than on cash. So everything that we get out of this job, well, I'll find some way to settle up with all of you. Blackheart - well, this is for that estate we've been working.

"Doing his..?"

Comes a voice from the Keep as the houngan steps forth. A few more scars, a bit more knocked about, but with that same shit eating tusker grin on his face.

"Ah. It is good, I think, to see faces again. Even hezless faces. Company exluded, ah?" He states, upnodding to the huge troll. He quietly reaches up to scratch at his neck, eyes tracking back towards Posh.

"Besides. I still owe some money, I think, ah?"

Posh looks a little surprised. "No, not to me, you don't," she says, with a grin. "But if you want to help me out, well…" She seems utterly delighted to see him, and gives a little signal - she thinks Bull knows Oz as an Omen, but she got no message of a nasty standoff, so she assumes that there was no such difficulty.

"So," she says. "This is the real deal. Trevor Chang with the Red Dragons has a tipoff that the Black Chrysanthemums are bringing in a hit squad of outsiders into town," she says. "Apparently there's going to be a meet between them and their new handler in an underground parking garage…here," she says, pulling up a fancy electronic mapping unit and showing them. "Your help would be greatly appreciated…I feel like we can't go set an ambush, because they're almost certain to sweep the area before the meeting," she explains. "So if there's some way we could have a spirit do some…recon or something, well.." She shrugs. "That's my first idea. Another is for me to play ruth scout."

"OZ!" Blackheart's chrome eyes light up as she sees the long lost ork, her grin spreading ear to ear as she spots the hook-handed biker. "Where've you been?" she wonders, noting a few new scars, probably from scratching with that menacing hook, leaving it for granted that she's in on the run.

Bull is a glorious minotaur, with horns of stabby, stubby fame. And he cuts an imposing figure3, but sure enough he hadn't roughed up or bothered Oz. He was after all, on ~The List~ as being okay. Bull was a simple creature, and things on the list were immune to his brand of dipomacy. Which is bullets. "Another hit-group?" Bull says with a grin, "We are gonna get a rap as hitters to watch out for this keeps up."

She shows information on the targets: a pair of lean, rangy looking twins, a massive thick-lipped crop-haired brute, and a dagger-slim woman. "Known capabilities include magic and at least one cybered operative, based on spur wounds and spell burns from earlier attacks associated with this team," she says.

She looks around. "This one's a lethal job. These folks won't be playing: they're an ex-Vory kill squad that has gone freelance," she says. "Anyway, they'll be meeting the new handler, they'll be all in the parking garage together, and we'll ambush them. I wish I had some better refinements, but…" She shrugs. "Any ideas to improve that?" she asks.

Feather is quiet and subdued today, which is not entirely out of character for her. She's not the most talkative person, on her best days, unless you want to talk about Combat Biker. Then she will scream and shout about how Wuxing is more concerned with advertising revenue than paying to train and retain good talent, how Dongbei would really improve its image if it fielded a team, and how S-K is always, indisputably, filling its multiple rosters with filthy cheaters. At least until she finds a S-K player that she likes, and then they're one of the few good ones. She might not be shy, either.

Her bike's engine is heard outside, coasting to a halt, a little more subdued than the cruisers that Posh and Blackheart might prefer. A few moments later, she's stepping inside, her riding suit on, helmet tucked under one arm, long black hair behind her. "You called," she says to Posh, her voice flat and unemotive. "Trevor again, isn't it? I heard a few rumors that he was putting out feelers for budget help." Her eyes narrow. She does hate that guy, or maybe she just hates what he represents. She's very much the old world, a flag bearer for an Awakened Land within China's border. And him? Well, Trevor's not quite. "I will help, of course, but I hope you are getting something good in the bargain."

Posh shrugs a little at Feather. "I've been talking to him a lot lately. There are a few holdings that he has control over that he might be able to sell us…below market. Considerably so," she says. "This is part of an ongoing process and I am attempting to render our services irreplaceable to him," she explains.

"I had thought indeed that the two of you had met at -some- point before, but I am mistaken. It's a good thing your Omens jacket prevented any confusion," she says, with a chuckle.

"Oh, shit, Vory?" Blackheart winces, and looks to the bag of ammo on the counter top. "Bring extra bullets, those stubborn bastards don't like to die easy," she says, having crossed paths with that circle back in her New York days. "Does anyone have any hand grenades?" she wonders. She smiles at Oz and winks, "Wanton kept me company," she says before focusing back on the run. "We'll need something to take out a car or two, I imagine, if they're meeting in a parkign garage."

Posh nods to Blackheart. "We've got the Gyrojets as emergency backup for that kind of situation," she says. "But what I'm really worried about is the sweep. When they arrive there, they're going to sweep the place, right? And we know for a fact that they have cybernetic and magical assets. How do we get around that one?"

Bull gets his large axe at the mention of spurs, and loads up on APDS rounds, nodding his head along idly to the plan. For the moment with so many people, he just listens to the plans being wafted around. And he grunts an affirmitive to Oz. Thats him. The muscle.

«Auto-Judge[]» Oz (#9314) rolls Magic Background:

"Eh.. mm. Les invisibles is .. hard to hide from, ah? Unless there is some strong riot in the area. It also depends on if they call on their Gods to sweep; The Gods do not see as us, ah? They see - here is a living thing. They do not know which, unless it is familiar to them." A faint grunt.
"Maybe.. maybe, hm. If we are far enough back, ah? If we are careful with the timing, we can move in when it passes. I do not think even the Touched will stare into les invisibles for too long. It is.. difficult to remember where the feet are, ah?"

Blackheart nods her head to Oz's assessment. "If we have time, we could park a stolen car or two in the parkade for our insertion. Wait in the trunks until it's go time, then pop out and do our thing. Otherwise, I think we have a team on foot go to the exit and spike the ramp, with the other team storming in in a car." Before she gets too carried away, "What part of town is this parkade in?"

"Maybe," Feather says, setting her helmet down on the ground besides her, taking a seat, posture a little too rigid. "It depends on how loud you want to go. What level of the parking garage will we be on, specifically? Are we going to be underground?" She pauses there. "And the two of us have met before," Feather says, sharp gaze turning on Oz. "We did a single job together, months ago. We were contracted to deal with rogue adepts, I believe." Her smile twists into a grin. "I recall something about you casting a mind control spell on some poor civilian while on the bike of my bike."

"Ah. Ah, you are correct. I sunk my hook into this ujnort's mind, ah?" Chuckles the houngan, darkly. "It did the work, yes? The hole was made. Ugly, but the other plans were… ah, worse." A flash of broken tusks, and he nods to Blackheart. "Mm. Is a good idea. They do not see -through- things, yes? They only pass through them, our Gods."

Posh nods, thoughtfully, as she considers. "Hmmm," she says. "I wonder if we could get my van there ahead of time. They'll sweep the place, sure…and they'll likely check for any signals, but the van's radio connection is powerful, and…She brightens. "Feather! Your bike! If we hide it down there first, and you can get a sensor uplink, we'll get scouting in there, and it'll be undetectable to a spirit," she says. "But we don't want it to show up on radio…so if we use microwave links to create a non-radio, direct line of sight connection, they won't pick that up on a scanner, and a spirit's not going to see anything," she says.

"Anyway. There's an elevator in the garage, and two sets of stairwells," she says. "The meeting is taking place on the middle of three underground levels. They're likely to sweep just the level we're on, and make sure they have eyes on any doorways during the meet," she says. "So some sort of distraction might make them take eyes off one of the doorways, as well."

«Plot» Posh says, "The parking garage is made of up three big, flat layers. There are columns that support between the layers. In addition, there's an elevator shaft sort of in the middle and stairwells sort of at either side. The 'road' loops around in a spiral, heading through the wide 'middle' lane of the garage; there are two narrower lanes further out to either side of it, making 5 lanes with rows of cars on either side. Photographs from the site reveal that it's usually somewhere around 20 percent capacity outside of working hours - and the meet to hit is at night."

«Plot» Posh says, "The entire garage is approximately 40 meters x 40 meters."

Posh chuckles a bit. "The parkade is over in Asiantown, on the outskirts of the Little Chiba district," she explains. "So we'll have to be out fast. Yakuza consider this their turf, so ideally we'd get away clean," she says. "I'm going to assume, though, that there's no immediate surveillance in the garage - otherwise, why would they have picked it as a location?" she asks.

Feather smiles widely. "Underground with an empty level above it. That's perhaps a good thing. We would have enough of a buffer that heavier ordnance might be useful. If we waited for them to cluster and used fragmentation grenades, they wouldn't be able to penetrate the structural concrete of a garage. We wouldn't risk structural damage, and the channeled blast might inflict severe wounds on several enemies, even with armor." She pauses. "It is a risk, of course. It will be loud, though I don't think people will hear much beside the lowest reverberations, outside of the garage itself."

Posh grins and looks around. "Well," she says. "Anyone got a better idea than hiding by the stairwells on different levels, and assaulting the meet when the bike indicates their likely presence?" she asks. "And yes," she says. "Minigrenades may be effective, but I also don't want to…give the reason to stir up a hornet's nest with a local gang," she says. "So, this might be a refinement, I suppose, but ideally I'd like to load up the bodies and dump them elsewhere when we're done. That will be…more difficult if they've been…grenaded."

Posh nods. "But, we could probably add misleading information. I've got some extra Kamikaze and Novacoke - quite a bit actually, and we could jump say, ten or fifteen at the meet, maybe samples were being passed around. So, I suppose, if we just dress the scene a bit, then yes, I think you're right, Feather. So we'll load up with minigrenades."

«Plot» Posh says, "Heavy team: Bull, Blackheart, Oz. Loaded with APDS. (aside from Oz) Light team: Posh, Feather. Ruth, personal weapons, emergency gyrojets. Present plan: Waiting at stairs of opposite floors before the meet, vectored there by Feather's bike, ruthed and stashed ahead of time."

Posh creates the tactical map update of this system and passes around her spares. She then hands her four microwave links to Feather. "Just make sure you can get a nice connection without a transmission," she says. "I'd use the van down there, but it'll be waiting on the upper level as our 'escape' point if things go wrong," she suggests. "We can have the van notify us that they're heading, but we want to make sure we don't hit them while still in an armored limo or something."

"If you prefer something cleaner, we can simply use gas grenades. I am not sure what the ventilation pattern will be down there, but it will be an enclosed space without much room for gas to dissipate. It doesn't need to be a potent agent that might trip a chem sniffer. Pepper punch would scatter them and leave them disoriented, if we could get a good shot," Feather suggests.

It doesn't need to be a potent agent that might trip a chem sniffer. Pepper punch would scatter them and leave them disoriented, if we could get a good shot," Feather suggests.

"I don't have any gas grenades," replies Posh. "Not sure I could get them on such short notice, either," she says.

"Hm. If you've a plan made, ethi, I can look at a bit of … protection?" A faint grin. "Drundeah 'om caaliah, ah? Geek the mage. I will guard your souls, ah, from the hooks of our enemy. At least, until this man can put an axe in her skull." A nod aside to Bull, and a grin. Before he begins collecting a few clips for his own weapon; Unholstering it from within his jacket with his one good hand, and quietly begins loading the new clips. As well as tucking extras into the vest he wears beneath.

"Hm? This is not a bad idea anyways." He states, to Posh and Feather. "Perhaps I can speak to the Gods? See if this place lays beneath their hand. There are otherways to twist a mind.."

Posh gives a grin to Feather. "Well, actually, come to think of it - that rather sounds like a magical gas grenade," she says. "Will that work?" she asks. "You're one of those set up for thermo, so if I launch smoke, neither of us will be hindered too badly, as well," she says. "These guys are probably tough, and it will be all about manipulating the ground before we hit them…hopefully at full speed, SMGs blazing."

Bull has been quietly listening after swapping out magazines and making sure he is loaded with the proper rounds and munitions. He has just been listening, arms folded over his chest. "Sounds good." He grunts, nodding to Posh' final words. "Soften them up as best you can. Makes crashing over them easier."

With the gas idea reconfigured as magic, and with Bull and Blackheart ready with their APDS, and with Flash-pak mini grenades as well arranged in addition to to the planned spell, for Feather's grenade launcher, as well as a few more offensive HE and AP grenades…well, Posh grins and then moves to hop into the van, inviting everyone else along, and for Feather to come on her bike.

She sets the autonav for the unit in question and begins to finish working on the map, the microwave links, indeed, the complex set of gear so that everything is done. "I'd like to head there at least an hour ahead of time, so we can have a look around and see if there are any other plans," she says. "I suppose I haven't thought…of how to prevent them from…just running out," she says. "I wonder if you could set up some of the toys that I got you by the exits to the upper level, at tire height, so we might get a second bite at the apple if they scram. And other spots that seem good, too."

«Plot» Posh says, "Present plan: Spirit investigations for use as a magical equivalent to gas grenades. Mines set up to prevent escape of target vehicle. These are adjustments to prior plan, all updated and annotated on the battletac system and spare units Posh has for Oz - everyone else is linked up."

"This sounds like a good plan, but time's ticking, we need to get into position before this meet starts," Blackheart says, glancing at the clock. "Two hours has turned into 90 minutes," she reaches for a few more magazines of armour piercing ammuntion and gets it into place for easy access.

Posh gives a grin to Blackheart. "Right you are," she says. "All right, you three've got your APDS, and well, you've got Oz with you," she says, giving a smile to Feather. "All right, Feather. Head on into the second level and look for a good place to park your bike, hopefully not too far away from a likely meeting spot. They'll want plenty of open space around likely."

The houngan grins, and moves into the van as well. Glancing over his shoulder as he speaks. "Ah.. this will take time. I must see if I can plead a favor of the Gods, ah? Ogoun is a proud warrior, ah.. "
Other shamans may command their little gods; But a houngan begs. Oz situates himself somewhere that he can get on his knees - eyes roll up, and he begins whispering to the air..

Feather nods quietly. "I suppose this just means I'll need to have a supply on hand beforehand for the next job. So you are alright with me using fragmentation grenades to open the fight, then?"

With her new mirror shades on and long coat on to cover her SMGs, she gets into the van. "Hope traffic is decent on the way, this is going to be tight," she says, only a little nervous about facing the russian mob hit squad, at least this time, she's with a team of crack shadowrunners, and not teenaged jagoff cornerkids.

The parking garage has a rather nondescript entrance marked with a big 'P.' Posh gives Blackheart a silent glare as it pulls on in, seeking a parking spot on the uppermost level that would still give sensor coverage of the way in. So the van can be used to identify, whereas Feather's bike will more be used to spot location on the fly.

After a few moments of a quiet conversation with something ELSE, the houngan blinks and groans. Rubbing his forehead with the palm of his hand as he nods aside to the others.

"The Gods have spoken. We will have their assistance, in this.. three time only." A soft smirk, before he looks to Posh.

"Ah, and afterwards? I think a good welcome home is in order, yes?" A wink, and that quiet, shit eating grin again, as the heavy bodied ork puts himself in a seat.

Blackheart smirks at Posh's glare, shaking her head as she tries not to laugh—this run is serious business, after all! She nods her head to Oz, grinning, "We'll have to show you the new digs, too," she agrees. As they pull in to the parking spot, she peers out the windows to get the mood of the place. "Doesn't seem very busy, this is pretty classic, actually."

Posh finds one of the spots on the upper level, pulling the van in for a stop. She nods. "All right," she says. "Everyone knows their roles," she says, hopping out of the van and setting up the first of the four links that will create a non-radio invisible signal direct to Feather's bike.

There doesn't seem to be anyone around, fortunately - evening is falling and most of the people parked here will be left overnight. The garage is open twenty-four hours, but it's fully automated," she says.

Feather gets her answer, stashes her gear, and is off to the races. She heads into the garage for a moment to swap out her default clip of smoke mini-grenades, replacing it with a clip of Offensive AP mini-grenades. She makes a mental note to stockpile several of the IPE versions of this, silently considering whether overriding the launch distance safety might be too risky. Then she seals her weapon case again, moving out to her bike to stash it in the smuggling compartment.

And then she's gone, the CRK gate opening before her as she swings her bike around, launching it forward with a moment of throttle that's probably a little too aggressive for a residential neighborhood. She finds her own way, as usual, a handy GPS overlay in her helmet's field of vision, winding her way through Denver until she finds herself pulling into the garage. She's a little early, taking the time to find a thoroughly out of the way spot. Autonav sensors are designed to navigate at high speed too, so the range isn't /too/ short, and they're designed to pick up pedestrians as much as other vehicles on the road. Her proximity detectors, rangefinders, and ultrasound sensors should let her know of any car or person that passes. She retrieves her weapon case first. And then she briefly wipes down the vehicle, removing dust and dirt from the coating as well as cooling its exterior slightly. And then she engages the ruthenium, the bike slowly fading out of view.

"The bike is in position. I am setting up the emitters on this end now. I will meet you in the middle, Posh."

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Excellent. Apply a microwave link and set the others up so there's direct line of sight, with betweener stations for the bends, to the van parked up here. »

Posh heads over to the stairwell, considering. "Hmm. I want to block the escape path, I think, after looking at it," she says, thinking. "Bull, you're stealthy without magic. You okay waiting in one stairwell, while the other two get the others?" she asks. "Feather and I will approach down the ramp from the upper level," she says, thoughtfully. "I'll take a little bit of timing, but I can set up marking points and a signal so that we all go on the same command, with the map," she suggests.

Bull grunts to Posh, and lets out a rumbling laugh. "Stealthy as I can be." He agrees, giving her a casual salute and getting his axe for the stairwell. Close, confined quarters and silence before the ambush. Axe wins. He heads to his waiting point, comms on and ready.

Blackheart hangs out in the van while the others get ready to do their thing. Not sneaky without her spells, she'd light up like a beacon to any mage looking to for lurking assassins. Carefully turning her gyrojet pistol over in her hand, she hmms, wondering just how well it would ruin a car..

Oz had been quiet on the way to the garage, lost in his own thoughts for the moment. When the van parked, he slipped out with Bull, grinning at the large Troll.

"Be careful, cerri, ah? Bullets love a pretty face." And then he's reaching down to quietly unbutton the sleeves around his hook, and once more check the pull of his H&K MP-5; Making sure it'll come out nice and easy with his one hand. He watches Bull move off again, then walks by Posh - being sure to give her a jovial little slap on her wide rump as he goes towards his own stairwell.

"Come back in one piece, ah, ethi?" He murmurs as he goes, with a dark chuckle. ADPS ammo in the sub machingun, hook ready, and the Gods on his side. What can go horribly, horribly wrong?

Feather continues to quietly set up transmitters, taking the time to align each one, the chain of microwave signals winding around the garage. She eventually meets up with Posh, turning to look back down the garage. "I think we're ready."

Posh nods to Feather with a quick smile, pushing back the hood of her stealthwrap. She leans back against another car, not her van, and lights up a smoke - it's just casual waiting time, now, it seems.

Well over a half hour later, everyone's in position, covering both stairwells, mines set up at the exit from level 2 to level 1, and with the services of the Loa acquired.

An Elite pulls in, lazily followed by a Phaeton. The train of two cars casually heads down.

There seems to be no incident as they smoothly pull down to the second level, heading over towards an area near the middle where there seems to be fewer cars. It's kind of near the elevator shaft, and there are meter-wide columns about every ten meters.

The ceilings are a good four meters tall - the spaces are big and there are even a few other vans parked down here.

Feather's bike is able to detect that the vehicles have come to a stop, a grainy ultrasonic image of four figures piped out, and then one leaving the car. One huge, two averaged sized, one slim, and then there's the figure leaving the car.

It seems that they are doing a sweep first, both of the averaged sized ones apparently beginning a careful roam of the immediate vicinity, stopping and scanning for a moment, while the others huddle together and beginning to talk, clearly employing voice masks.

There's a sudden shout of alarm, barely audible from the other levels. Feather can quickly tell, as the proximity alert starts to sound, that two of the men are approaching it to investigate. Somehow, they spot that bike.

Bull charges out of his stairwell, moving towards a vehicle for cover with twin SMGs at the ready as he starts to acquire targets in the surprise round.

Blackheart takes cover to the side of the door that Bull rushed out of, getting ready to give him covering fire as he bears down on his victims.

"Whoa, that's a lot of dudes," Blackheart wines as she watches Bull bull rush down the parkade. "Bully's going to get lit up," she thinks to herself, and quickly casts a spell as she hides behind the cement wall of the stairwell, with Bull shimmering and then disappearing.

«Plot» Posh says, "Oz, you're up!"

From the perspective of the targets, there is suddenly a huge minotaur with a SMGs charging with a roar out of one of the stairwell doors, about 35 meters away.

Then he just disappears.

That can't be good.

In some small part of his mind - for just a moment - the houngan feels pity for the Vorty. Especially when Bull disappears. Him - and his whole axe. Oh, he'll be lit up on the soul winds; A flare in the dark for anyone with the touch.

But not if his Gods spoke. With blood pumping, iron drawn and death imminent, Oz calls upon his waiting God. Ogoun's voice rings reality like a bell, as Oz speaks the request of his first service.

And the enemy - may suddenly find themselves horribly, horribly crippled in the mind. Unsure of who is what, or what is happening..

«Plot» Oz says, "Confusion drop, Essence 4. +4 TN on all activities, and they have to make a will roll to 'decide' to do anything."

«Plot» Posh says, "Posh gets 2 actions, splitting a running movement adjusted up to 39, by 2. Posh moves 19.5 meters this pass, and will be in melee next pass."

Suddenly, both of the two similar looking human males, Eastern Europeans with big muscles and ill-fitting suits, move towards covering poles, faint glows surrounding their appearance. What?

The big Vory man pulls out an RPK from his coat - it had clearly been on a sling, and he starts to pour heavy fire downrange towards Blackheart. The heavy machine gun bullets judder-thudder against the column that she's slipped behind, but the reinforced plasticrete is enough, though chunks begin to be torn out around her!

The very fast, slim woman suddenly sprints around, apparently Posh not expecting her to immediately engage, as she suddenly sprints as well, very fast, a set of dikoted cyberspurs snicking out of one hand as she lashes across Posh's body. The elven woman staggers back, bleeding terribly from several rents across her stomach, the pain nearly forcing her to pass out as she staggers back.

«Plot» Posh says, "Posh takes S from the dikoted spur attack. She trauma dampers to 5 boxes Phys + 1 Stun"

«Plot» Posh says, "Surprise round over. Posh is engaged in Melee with Small, who seems to have 2 spurs. Big has a big MG and is laying down nasty fire on Blackheart. The huge Russian dies badly, under the influence of the SMG fire. He'd been well armored, and well equipped, but those special bullets Posh had nabbed for BH do the job good and proper. His RPK falls silent as he slumps to the ground, the weapon itself devastated by the hail of bullets, and he begins to bleed…and bleed…and bleed.

«Plot» Posh says, "Oz, you're up! :)"

«Plot» Posh says, "Present situation: Guy with armor spell is hiding behind a column. Handler is sprinting towards the exit. Posh is locked in a desperate fight with someone who just spurred her."

«OOC» Posh says, "He's moving sort of fast. And you have to draw your weapon. However, you can see he's heading to the exit and you can triangulate. It seems like you could set up a Melee Intercept and draw your weapon, with your turn."

Bull discards his SMGs casually. No time to holster them, and the pretty ceramic weapons skitter on the concrete as the large creature unslings his axe. His /considerably/ sized axe. His speed isn't that impressive but good christ the /reach/.

Bull might not be as fast as the superhumanly fast Handler, clearly some kind of high end anthroform drone with a Nighthawk, but he has long legs and a shorter distance to cover. The running Handler levels his Nighthawk at Bull, intending to shoot him down or weaken him before he runs past…

«Plot» Posh says, "Woman engaged directly with Posh in melee, 11 meters away from you. Posh is bleeding badly. There's one of the brothers who's blocked by a column from you. And there's the handler, sprinting to the exit as Bull tees up on him."

And almost immediatly, things start going to pieces. Typical. The houngan grimaces as he moves behind his own concrete support, even as the Loa's voice continues to ring the world in the ether; It's working in some regards. But - Clunk clunk clunk, the rattle of armor piercing ammo against the Handler? Bad news.

Oz blows a breath of air, glancing aside just in time to see some crazy woman leap at Posh - and rip into her. Logically, he should focus on the Handler or the Mage. But what has logic to do with a houngan? Rattles can be heard in the air, as Oz focuses on crazy cyborg lady - shades flickering into existance around him, his voice a hiss.

"She is -mine-.." He sends the puppet strings through les invisibles - but the woman slips them.

The woman staggers back a little bit, under the influence of the spell, and she shakes it off, about to step forward for the kill strike on Posh.

But there are other kinds of puppet strings than just the most obvious one, and perhaps it is that sense of triumph that Oz was /truly/ trying to create. For she is not at all ready for the … the snikk….the 'xing' the flash, the unseen blade as it lashes out, greedy for life.

The sharp-featured woman stands there, momentarily…before she slumps to the ground, in two pieces, a head, a shoulder, and an arm, the rest together, all plumping fountains of blood - indeed, adding to Posh's in the process. Messy. Unconsciousness is swift for her, almost immediately, with death to follow soon afterwards.

«Auto-Judge[]» Feather (#12973) uses 1 of item 4: EX Ex Ranger-X Arrow from Feather's Stored Gear (#1731).

Tracking the location of the enemy mage, Blackheart walks around her pockmarked cover and draws a bead on the russian mercenary mage. With four quick little bursts, she covers the car behind him with gore, leaving him empty in side as he crumples to the ground. "Is that all of them?" She asks, checking in with the others.

«Auto-Judge[]» Feather (#12973) uses 1 of item 4: EX Ex Ranger-X Arrow from Feather's Stored Gear (#1731).

And then everything goes quiet…at least, until suddenly the Elite roars into action, its tires squealing and engine BRAAAAAAAAAAP nearly overpowering the transmission as it screeches towards the exit, with Bull right in its path!!!

«Plot» Posh says, "Bull. Melee Intercept?"

The car's wheels squeal as it picks up speed and moves with grim determination in the direction of the big troll, who's blocking the exit now. Bull had gone /just/ past where the mines had been set up, as Feather can see - the two sets of mines on either side, at tire level…

The Elite seems to be picking up speed. It must be heavily customized - indeed, this is clearly a ten-second car. And who's driving it? Well, of course - the rigger who was controlling the Handler! A quick reaction Feather dives and bodily /pushes/ Posh away, and while it's hard to move someone who's quite a bit heavier than you, a little bit of leg pushing and speed really helps, especially if the lass in question is already weakened from an ice cold cyberspur in the belly. The vehicle picks up speed, gaining momentum, and it looks like it might be too much for Bull to handle, as it ascends the ramp…

And then the mines blow. The two directional Claymores BKOOMBKOOM, lashing out horizontal, ground level shotgun blast and shredding the solid runflat tires of the Elite. The suddenly lurch, loss of power, scree gives Bull just the time he needs to…he needs to…

«Plot» Posh says, "Forgot to stage Melee Power. 1 success on his soak. The Elite takes Deadly damage and is rendered nonfunctional."

Bull hefts his battle axe out behind himself, and it lays flush on the ground. He puts both hands on it, leaning backwards in a remarkably dextrous way. With a short two step start, he hauls with force on his shoulder, cranking the fulcrum of the battleaxe. Its clear that the /massive/ weapon is rarely wielded like an actual axe, he tends to just spin it around his body. As the elite faces those mines, he brings the axe down on the end of the engine compartment, the weight of the weapon and the momentum of the car shearing the blade right into the compartment of the driver, cleaving through the seat. The weapon itself finally ends up in the backseat, as Bull himself is left dangling from the handle, the momentum of the vehicle carrying him and his blade down the roadway before the dying car brings itself to a stop.

A few droplets of blood drip to the plasticrete floor from Bull's axe - it looks like it wasn't all car that he got with that stroke.

With a quick command, trying to ignore her pain, Posh commands the van to roll down. "There'll be a Triad cleanup crew pretty quick, to take care of the vehicles," she says, "but they aren't taking any risks with the bodies."

It doesn't take long, however, to load them up. "We've got to get out of here fast." She nods quickly, holding her wounded abdomen, helping load up the bodies and then get out of there.

Once it's clear that the action's over, Blackheart closes in on the mess surrounding Posh. As the van pulls up, and they haul the elf into it, she casts a little clean up spell so that the rival gang, or worse, the russian gang hired by the rival gang won't pick up any DNA from the runners on the scene. "Jesus, Posh, what'd that psycho do to you?"

"Fucking… shit…" Bull growls, wrestling with his axe. The whole elite shakes as the Taur cranks on, bends, and twists the embedded metal. He growls low, and with a roar finally manages to rip his weapon free, almost toppling off the car as he hits the ground on both feet hard. He grunts in approval, then starts to jog back towards the area of the fight, glancing around as he retrieves his SMGs. "Fuckin' hell, that was a mess. God damned drone."

She sends the notification to Trevor that everything seems A-OK, and no assets were lost. There's a pained, but grateful expression on her face as the van pulls out of the parking lot and heads to the Triad drop for the bodies. "Damn….a close run thing, but couldn't ask for better comrades," she says, with a soft smile.

Posh grins at Blackheart gratefully as she sees her work on the cleanup efficiently, and then the van is pulling out and heading to the drop. The van pulls into a distribution center for frozen chicken, where there's a couple of Chinese men in flashy suits flanking, who is easily identifiable as Chinese-American from his languid, fratboy posture.

As his men unload the bodies, he just tips a little salute at his brow towards the van, with a grin, and then turns away, getting a grin in response from Posh. He then walks away, followed by the two suited guys.

"Well, it looks like Trevor's quite happy with how things went down. Though…I'd love if you woulnd't mind patching me up a bit, Blackheart," she says. "Now, though…I think it's time for the Keeps. And some drinks, perhaps."
