Distractions

GM: Caine
Players: Caine, Bigman, Daemon Starks
Synopsis: Runners are hired to cause some chaos, to distract from a larger more important job.
Date: Dec 20th, 2073

Caine floats to a seat at Biggs Security, then waits until Bigman arrives. "The job is coordinated chaos. I've been told a distraction is needed for…a special family matter. As much havok as can be done within an area at a specific time. I can implant a few minds to cause car wrecks. I figured Biggie here could discrettly burn something down, ect ect."

Bigman nods "Easy enough…burning things is my speciality…" he chuckles "Is this something specific that needs to be burn, or just something enough to cause the distraction?

Caine shakes his head. "Nothing specific, we should look around and find the most likely spots in the area. Its a four block radius on the edge of the Souix/UCAS FTZ sector."

«Game» Backup to offline storage commencing. Game may freeze for a bit…

Bigman says "To make it more distreet you should clean up the traces of mojo…"
Bigman says "I concrate on the discration, any aura is cleaned up as we go…"

Caine nods "Yes, that would definatly help alot."

Bigman nods "And once things are in this choatic state…we do nothing else? That's it…burn things down, cause a distraction and run? Is there anyhting that is off limits to burn?"

Caine nods "Yes, there is one block in the very center that is not to be touched. Thats it, thats our limit. We distract, we run."

Bigman says "Well…starting a fire, and controlling it are two different things…making it look natural and discreet is a third…"

Caine nods "It needs to be a slower burn, hopefully natural looking, but not critical. If they find out later its magical, so be it. Control isn't necessary if we keep it outside the target block."

Bigman nods
Bigman says "Easy enough…lets get to it…send me the location, it may be easier to go seperately. It'll make for an easy a get away."

Caine nods "When Mr. Lucciano gets here, we can discuss his ideas for his contributions, unless we just want him to make sure we get away cleaner."

Bigman nods "We should wait for him…he'll have is own ideas to contribute"

Caine nods "So, tell me about the ork at the bar, whats his thing?"

Bigman shrugs "I truthfully don't know him well. We use him for legal matters…And he's a manager for the dive bar."

Caine nods "He needs to work on not pissing off the wrong people. I think he assumed cause he saw me with a cane I wasn't a threat, I suppose thats a common mistake."

Daemon Starks arrives to the meet, a little delayed, with a tall Caramel Machiatto from Pentabucks, and a cigar in the other hand. "I heard some over the comms on my way in, someone forget to turn theirs off?" He grins, then settles into an office chair he pulls near the other two. "So what's the scan?"

Caine nods "I've got a minor job, a distraction for some family business. I plan to get a few wrecks started, Bigman here will start a fire. You have any ideas?"

Daemon Starks sits back as he puts down the coffee, pulling the fedora off and setting it on top his crossed over knee, puffing on the cigar with the idle hand once he's comfortable. "A fire eh? So you're looking to bring down a large distraction from local authorities, firemen, EMT's, and the likes? With a little local pedestrian distraction to boot? What's the nature of the distraction along the lines of length, size, area, and reason?"

Caine grins "Four block radius, the center block is to be untouched for another operation. Border of Souix/UCAS in the FTZ. I wasn't told what was going down, just to do my part and create a chaos in the area."

Bigman says "What's the response time estimated for the response time on the officials gettings there?"
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "I'd like to roll security measures, get an idea of the area's SEC rating, coupled with response times for the appropriate Sec Corp. Maybe toss in Denver Maps knowledge for comp? ;)"
«Plot» Caine says, "Sure, roll away."
«Auto-Judge[]» Daemon Starks (#2946) rolls Police/Security Measures + Task Pool: 3 for "F* the police.. what are they going to do? Sioux/UCAS Border and inside the FTZ? good times.":
1 1 2 2 4 5 7 8 9

«Plot» Caine says, "The police will show up pretty fast, but since its a border, things get a little confused. They show up in less than a minute, but they are slower once they get there to make sure the different sectors laws are respected."
Daemon Starks nods, "We'll need a quick and easy diversion, multiple ones in opposite directions as there could be two sectors worth of security response here.. under a minute I'd guess." He ponders a little, puffing on the cigar with serious interest and a thoughtful look. "Is the target area in the middle going to need clear exits out? Or can we distract without worry of such things esnuring travel roads are accessable."
«Game» Backup to offline storage commencing. Game may freeze for a bit…

Caine shakes his head. "No need to worry, they did not give me any limitations on securing thier exit."

Bigman says "We should see about an empty building in the area…if there is little to no casualities, they won't investigate as hard.."
Daemon Starks nods, "Well then, this should be fun!" he says with a sly grin, nodding to himself. "Fires I know Biggies can handle, that'll be the main event.. But I could also throw in a 'gas leak' with explosions, the utility companies could be blamed if done right. Gas line went up a few months ago, took out an entire city block of residential houses.
Bigman says "If we split the fire between the sectors it'll cause more choas in the mess"
Daemon Starks says "How long of a distraction? and how specific of a start time?"

Caine responds to the questions. "Midnight, exactly midnight in two days from now."

Caine says, "Length is just a few minutes, we must cause alot of chaos just at midnight."

Daemon Starks says "I see.."

Daemon Starks says "So, the fire starts in two places.. how fast can you make those two fire points spread to cover all sectors needed?"
Bigman shakes his head "Not long…if there is line of sight to both points and the material is flameable enough."

Caine nods "I plan to mind control a few random people, to block off traffic, tie up the response from the police, keep things hectic."

Daemon Starks says "As much confusion and chaos is can be done eh? Nothing says Chaos like a bomb.. some c12 with a timed det set in one of the sectors, the other has one of the gas lines under the streets that we can access through sewers, cut the line, place high thermal detcord that'll dissentigrate when the gas explodes, people will go crazy.. all emergency and security departments will be fully drawn on their attention."

Daemon Starks says "That will help keep the amount of magic needed to create this chaotic distraction and mass confusion. Something like this is sure to bring astral watch quickly."

Caine nods "I suggest we keep the bombs small and just distracting. Too much will bring down alot of heat on things."

Daemon Starks has disconnected.
Daemon Starks has connected.
Daemon Starks nods, "So a small distraction mundane side, nothing too damaging, mostly scare tactic. That with the two fires should do the trick drawing the right amount of attention in a quick period of time."

Caine nods "That sounds resonable."

Daemon Starks says "How quickly can you guys cover up your magic signatures?"

Caine says, "I can cast my mind spells earlier in the day, having them trigger later. So the signatures are gone by then.""

Daemon Starks nods, "excellent.. and the use of fire?
Bigman says "If a small fire start mundane I can spread it…"

Daemon Starks takes a second to think and smoke, puffing a few clouds, then says "Alright, I'll set up the explosive distraction and pick a location at a triangular point away from the two fires, where it will draw attention and create panick quickly with very little damage to the public or private buildings and hopefully no pedestrians. It'll be more an HE style explosion, lots of puffy fire, but no real damage to anything within a small range.. for effect, along with some concussion grenades so everyone can at least feel the scare."
Daemon Starks says "Will spreading a mundane fire leave no signature of your magic use?"
Bigman says "Any magic puts a signature…"

«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "bigman, you have magical security know skills?"
«Auto-Judge[]» Bigman (#9958) has the Knowledge Skill Magical Security with the value '2 (3)'.
Daemon Starks says "bigman, you know how long an Astral Watcher would take to get to a crime scene if they suspect magic?"

Caine shakes his head. "They wont send a watcher, someone would just show up astrally projected. Watchers are far too stupid to do any good."

Bigman shrugs "Yeah, for anything like that, we should expect a real mage on the plane"
Bigman says "Well…shaman, mage, or even spirit"
Daemon Starks nods, "So, you're the magsec specialist Biggs. Do you feel it neccessary to find out how long that would normally take, and put that into the planning considerations?"
Daemon Starks says "If not, then I'd say the plan is set and we're ready to rock out with our cocks out gentlemen."

Caine nods "Alright, lets get out there and find someplace to plant the explosives to be ready."

Bigman nods "Comms in…typical protocol if we think it's been compromised. Do some recon find a less then occupied building as a target, perferably near sector borders.
Commlink-Demon> Daemon Starks says, "check"

Daemon Starks plugs in his small taccom link with the subvocal chip pasted to his neck.
Bigman slips his taccom into his ear, but without the fancy subvocal.
Daemon Starks says "I have an old claymore, toss that with CV, should be enough bang with very little damage radius, but a large scare radius that can be heard a mile away."
Commlink-Biggie> Bigman says, "Check Check…"

Caine picks up one out of his pocket, slipping it in his ear.

Commlink-Geppetto> Caine says, "Check"
Bigman says "Shiny…lets go be bad guys…"
Daemon Starks chuckles, "GMC Bulldog security van with electricians sign? or Hover Limo…."
Daemon Starks pulls out the chip set for a GMC Bulldog, answering his own question.

Caine uses levitation to pull himself up out of his chair. "Well, the physical recon I'll leave to you two, but I can scout ahead astrally and keep an eye for people."

Daemon Starks nods, "Sounds fair enough, Biggs, you wanna roll in the same vehicle and check out fire spots and a place for a small explosive device? Or split up."
Bigman says "Recon we can go together….Caine if you need anything I'll check out the mirrored world every five minutes."
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "using POCSEC to grab google earth sat pic of the sector of choice, on a throw away pre-paid pocsec. Search for plausible locations for a detonation with the radius CIV requires without damaging the buildings too badly."
«Auto-Judge[]» Daemon Starks (#2946) spends 200 nuyen for "prepaid pocsec".

Caine nods "I'll just rest in the vehicle and search with my astral form with you."

«Plot» Caine says, "Make a roll, intelligence or some skill for your planning"
Daemon Starks nods, "Alright, there's a ramp on my GMC in case you need to wheel on up, I use it for the ground combat drones.
Bigman grins "I won't if I should just call in Burst In and To Flames…may be easier then then a bomb…"

Daemon Starks climes into the vehicle and starts up the GMC Bulldog with the security features. Once inside, he switches up the photovoltaic chameleon paint job, switching to a 'electric company' logo design for the sides and matching the Transponder library to the morphing license plate to clear grid guide.

Daemon Starks finishes up, then pulls out and heads towards the sector, allowing Grid Guide and AutoNav with the drone pilot to work the easy routes while he pours over the satellite map of the sector in question.

Daemon Starks looks to the other two, "If anybody asks you electrical questions.. practice saying "no hablo ingles.." He laughs, grinning while he looks back over the map.
Bigman says in Italian, "* * * * * * ***"

Caine chuckles "I'll be a ghost, so doesn't matter to me." He lays down in the back, then seperates from his body, showing up on the astral and manifesting so folks can see him. "Alright, so what do you think will work best."

Daemon Starks shakes his head with a smirk, "I was joking nephew, and definitly don't speak Italian to the cops." He chuckles, "They'll search you for sure.. profiling bastards."
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "was I able to find a location for the explosive?"
Bigman laughs "Hey…they have their place." he turns to Caine "Just ignore the large fire elementals following me" he winks.
«Plot» Caine says, "Three possibles: Resteraunt, Stuffer shack, department store."
Daemon Starks says "Will those draw too much attention in the astral world? There's a ton I'm still unsure of about your astral realm.""
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "department store, after hours?"
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "do a quick google search on the hours of the restaurant"
«Auto-Judge[]» Daemon Starks (#2946) rolls Computers vs TN 2:
2 3 5 8 = 4 Successes
«Plot» Caine says, "The resteraunt and store close at 10. Stuffer is open all night, but likely no ones there."
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "Outside the stuffer shack then.. so the inside worker wont' get hurt."

Bigman says "That's more mundane…Department store may actually have some security depending on how much cred goes through it. Stuffer will have someone working…Resturant may be the best bet. I have no problem knocking someone off, but if someone dies in this, there will be an investigation."

Daemon Starks nods, "The explosion won't bring down a building, but it'll knock a hole in a wall possibly, large bang, plume of fire from the claymore for dramatic effect. We'll roll by the restaurant, closes at 10, least likely to have people." He takes over to manual, taking off grid guide nav and heading towards the stuff shack he found on the map as a prospect. "Stuffer shack, midnight on a cold night, only person there will be a counter clerk and a cashier,
Daemon Starks says "or a late night stoner crowd."

Caine nods his astral forms head. "Sounds resonable, I can fly through the places a few tmes, make sure there isn't anything suprising going on."

Daemon Starks nods, "Solid.. let's scope it out."
Bigman says "We have two nights, lets watch it tonight and tomorrow see what the norms for it are."
Daemon Starks says "We should watch two places.. and compare.."
Bigman says "Drek…if any of us were smart we'll set it up so it looks like a natural restuarant from a burner or stove or something."
Daemon Starks nods, "That's possible, so long as no ones inside."

Caine says, "Sounds like they are all decient options. Lets go take a look and decide then."

«Plot» Caine says, "Make perception and stealth rolls to scout"
Daemon Starks says "Or possible even if they are.. disable, knock out, laes or mind erase, then leave them at a bus stop somewhere else."
«Auto-Judge[]» Daemon Starks (#2946) rolls Intelligence:

«Auto-Judge[]» Caine (#7926) rolls Intelligence:

«Auto-Judge[]» Bigman (#9958) rolls Stealth:
5 13

«Plot» Caine says, "You get a decient look at the places. Nothing stands out that might be a problem with your plan, and you see some ways to help keep things looking like a possible accident. Gas line on the resteraunt outside is in bad shape."
«Auto-Judge[]» Caine (#7926) rolls 4 for "Random dice":
4 5 5 11
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "perfect, we'll use that as our distraction."
«Auto-Judge[]» Bigman (#9958) rolls Intelligence for "Good LOS to Restertaunt":
1 2 3 4 4 7

Daemon Starks marks the location in his mental map, taking a snap shot through his sensors of the location 'street view' to help with planning and strategy. He then takes off, pulling into traffic and heading in an arc around to the next neighborhood within the 'perimeter'. "How hard would it be to drop off some zombies to scare the populace? Drop them off at the bus station" He chuckles.

Caine chuckles in his astral form. "Fairly hard since thats not something many folks can do. I can mind control folks, I can't make the undead type of zombies."

Daemon Starks says "Yeah, but we have what most people don'.. a Fire Mage.""

Daemon Starks chuckles, "Or a flame thrower.. whichever comes easier."

«Game» Backup to offline storage commencing. Game may freeze for a bit…

Bigman raises a brow "Wow…I've been so belittled…." he smirks
Daemon Starks grins. "You're still magical in my eyes Biggies."

Caine grins "Should I give you two some privacy?"

«Plot» Bigman says, "need to find a LOS to the busted pipe, but still out of the way and mostly hidden"
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "that's right"
«Plot» Bigman says, "And with a path out"
«Plot» Caine says, "Going to be hard. The pipe isnt busted, its just looks pretty bad, like it could bust if something barely hit it. Its in an alley, so you have to be close to see it."
Daemon Starks begins making the arc around the zone they need to create the pipe explosion so Biggies can get LOS, "You let me know when you see somehting that needs closer inspection."
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "what about a bullet to the pipe from a sniper rifle."
«Plot» Caine says, "Could work, would have to be a very good shot, and could come from above. If biggie could fly he could get there from above."
«Plot» Daemon Starks says, "I've thought about that, I can use a rotorcraft drone, coming off the hidden GMC Bulldog down an alley, it has drone wracks for 3 drones to launch from in the GMC Bulldog"

Bigman watches the area, keeping his vision in the real world and on the astral world. He's looking for a place to keep a line of sight on the restaurant. Perhaps another ally across the way. "So…we got a game plan?"

Caine shrugs astral shoulders. "You guys are looking at the meat world, so far I haven't seen anything astrally that stands out, no spirits patrolling right now."

Bigman says "Then we watch for tonight and tomorrow, third night we take care of things…"

Caine is ready for his part, he spends the following day going about various places in the FTZ. He frequents coffee shops and other places were people gather and sit, and then move along when done with whatever it is they are there for. When Caine has checked the astral to ensure nothing is watching him, he will cast spells to lay traps in thier minds.

«Plot» Caine says, "Each target is given the following post hypnotic suggestion: You will be awake at 11pm on the night of the 20th, you will get into your vehicle and drive to the intersection of 5th and university, you will be alone, allowing no one to go with you, waiting to arrive there at five minutes till midnight. At 11:57 you will get out of your car, take your keys and throw them down the nearest sewer grate, then you will walk home."
«Plot» Caine says, "This is done to about 10 normal corp types, then Caine will move to truck stops and cast on 5 different truckers, with a change in orders so that they take thier rigs and stop them at the intersection."
«Plot» Caine says, "I will roll 10 times for this, drain will be minimal as Caine will rest between each casting."
«Plot» Caine says, "ER 15 times."

«Plot» Caine says, "Considering everyone has willpower 4 and BGcount 1 in the rooms."

Starks is not really that close, benifits of being a rigger. A drone with a rifle is hovering in the air above the target area. Watching as the traffic starts to snarl up. The drone shifts over a block, focusing now on an alley and some older pipes there going into a gas meter. A barrel takes aim, readings come across Starks vision, and he has plenty of time to take careful aim, letting the sensors assist him. There are moments of silence, and then a whisper of noise as the silenced weapon fires.

«Plot» Caine says, "Bigman is at 2 boxes stun damage."

Finding a good spot to watch the the pipe, Biggie waits. When he sees the pipe break, he channels the mana through to a fireball…just big enough to be the ignition source. The trick works, maybe not the way exactly planned, but the gas ignites and the flames begin to burn out of the pipe causing a flamethrower effect.
«Plot» Caine says, "Bigman will have to get close to the flames to erase the signature, or it will expire in 4 hours on its own."

«Auto-Judge[]» Caine (#7926) rolls 1 for "Random chance something makes this look normal? 8+":

«Plot» Caine says, "Then again….your only crime for this is destruction of property"
«Plot» Caine says, "A good lawyer could even get you out of that, seeing as the only information is you cast a manipulation spell. Lots of ways to spin it."

Biggie looks over the situation…pondering for a second he slips his pocsec out of it's place and dials a contact. "Sergeant Freeman…This is Paul with Bigg Security, Permit #SMA56922. I need to report an incident."

A response comes over the line, "Yes, I'm a little busy now whats up?"

«Game» Backup to offline storage commencing. Game may freeze for a bit…
Bigman says "Well, I think a situation may cause some public harm. I responded to a client request on the block 1023rd and Elm, on the UCAS and Souix border. I had a suspect shoot at me, and I had to retaliate. In the fire fight a gas pipe was hit, and my spell caused it to ignite."

Cursing comes over the line, "Jesus christ, alright, stay there, I'll have a patrol come take your statement, I've got other weird shit going on tonight. I'll get city gas to turn off the line, can you do anything to help?"

Biggie looks over the fire "I can suppress the fire…sling a bit more mojo to make sure it doesn't get too out of control."

The response is quick, "Keep it contained, anything burns down I'm going to make sure your company pays damages, you hear me?"

Bigman chuckles "Upkeep is responsibility of the owner, I'm just being a good citizen and small business owner, but we'll discuss that later"

There is a click, and the line is dead. You hear the sound of sirens in the distance, the traffic jam most likely causing alot of attention. Within a minute, a single patrol car pulls up to the alley, two officers exiting, KE. One of them touches thier ear, murmering as they call things in, watching the fire as it likely bends up out of the way due to your efforts.

Another thirty seconds, and the gas is shut down remotely further up the line, elimiating the whole block, but its fast. The fire goes out, and you are left now facing the officers.

Biggie slides his phone back into his pocket, and then begins to work the Mojo. He slings a web of mana over the fire, specifically designed for the purpose to control it. Channeling the mana through the web he pushes the fire down, perhaps still strong but not enough that he can't keep it contained. At least until the gas is cut and the officers show. "Gentleman…" he says with a smirk.

One of the officers remains at the car, on the other side of it, with cover….cautious. The one on your side walks over, you can tell his eyes are cyber, likely recording everythign he does all day every day. "Sir, we will need a statement from you." His head turns, looking at the pipe, zooming on it, then around the rest of the alley, looking for evidence, taking pictures.

Bigman grins "Now that we're all out of danger, I'll be glad to sit down with UCAS finest and discuss things…"

The officer looks back to you. "I'll need a statement now, then you'll need to come by the station tommorow to sign off on it. Tell me what happend, I'm recording now."

«Game» Backup to offline storage commencing. Game may freeze for a bit…

Bigman nods, and beings to tell the story keeping his voice even tones "Well, the first thing is I got a call from a potential client. They were in need of Security Services, a mention of private protection. They needed to meet me here…" he pulls out his permits and badges "You can run my records. Please do actually, as per my permits I was offering this service" he hands the permit and badges over to the officers "When I arrived…I waited…next thing I knew, I was being shot at by an unknown person. Got a slight look…"

The officer simply watches you, saying absolutely nothing.

«Plot» Caine says, "The officer listens, he is sure your hiding something, but he doesn't know exactly, could be your lying your just sloppy and broke some laws, no telling whats going on in his mind."

Bigman says "Once the bullet was fired, I turned and in self defense fired off the spell. That's when I saw him. He was a short guy….maybe a meter, meter half. He was bald…I saw a gleam of metal on his leg, like his whole leg…let maybe it was a cyber replacement? But he was wearing security armor! Same time I've been wanting to get for my crews…black market if you don't have the permits."
Bigman says "What I didn't know when I fired off the spell was that this perps bullet hit that pipe over there…when I cast my fireball it must have ignited the gas"

The cop still says nothing, only gives a few minor facial movements, could be he doesn't belive you.

Bigman says "The prep ran, still on the loose. I called my associate with you guys and stayed to make sure no citizen was harmed…"

Still no response, the cop just stares at you.

Bigman says "Never did get a client…waste of time coming down here…at least no one was hurt…being responsible citizen and all…"

Nothing, more staring.

«Plot» Caine says, "Best response is to say your done, make him question you directly."
Bigman says "Is there anything else I can assist in?"

The officer finally speaks, "I'll need the name and contact information for this potential client you were supposed to meet. What sort of gun did he have sir?"

Bigman shakes his head "Didn't get a look at the gun…and they dialed my office numbers, it was blocked on my end, but I can get you the records when I come in tomorrow"
Bigman keeps a straight face, but now that he has some read of what the officer is doing, is keeping more somber attitude and speaking only when spoken too

The officer nods, "I'll make sure to have them expect it first thing. We will also need you to try to make a photo of him with the imaging software. You can go now, be in tommorow before noon. Take 3rd out of here, there is a problem down the block."

Bigman says "Of course….before noon." Biggie smiles gently "Do you have a case number yet?"

The officer reaches down to a pocket, pulling a chip out of a pocsec, and handing it over. "Thats the pending file number and the case manager." The officer turns, moving back to his car, both of them get in and drive off.

«Auto-Judge[]» Bigman (#9958) has the Contact Chloe Taylor with the following information:

GM Note: Like a lot of little girls, Chloe grew up wanting to be a ballerina. However through the course of life she found herself working a lot with computers, at 16 she got her datajack and deck. She found herself working on the trix during college for low level corps doing security. Getting her security licenses for Denver, she decided to go freelance. Does work for Bigman once in awhile with Bigg Security and other off the book jobs. (Use stats from pg 49 MJLBB Corporate Decker)

The cops have left, and now your standing there in the street. Sirens are still sounding down a few blocks away, signs of the further chaos thats been spread. What do you do now?

«Plot» Caine says, "Moving forward: Next day, Police station."
«Auto-Judge[]» Bigman (#9958) spends 3000 nuyen.

When you arrive at the station no one pays too much attention to you at first. When you sign in, they direct you to a Lt. Rodriguez, a bookish officer sitting at a small desk in a private office. He stands up when you enter, then gestures to a chair. "Sir, thank you for coming by, please have a seat."

Bigman nods "Not a problem…" he says with a friendly grin. He slides the chair out and sits comfortably down. "I'm glad to help where ever I can"

The officer pulls out a pad, and lays it down on the side of the desk near you. "This is the statement you gave last night. Please read and sign, make sure its accurate."

Bigman grins and takes the pad, he reads over the statement, very closely.

«Auto-Judge[]» Bigman (#9958) rolls Intelligence:
1 4 5 5 11 19
«Plot» Caine says, "The statement is exactly what you said, every single word."

The Lt watches you, waiting for you to decide if there is a problem, or if you will sign.

Bigman says "Damn accurate officers you have working here…" he smiles "one mustta have a recorder huh? Nice to see law enforcement is given the tools needed…"

The Lt nods, "Yes, we try to be efficent."

Bigman says "Did you get the phone records my assistant sent over? I don't see them admended here…"

The officer frowns slightly, looking at the screen of his computer for a second. "I'm not sure, I'm just dealing with your statement for now, that will be part of an investigation, which we do not have the manpower for honestly."

Bigman nods "Sure…just want to help where I can you know? It can be a pain when you have a witness that is more difficult" he looks over the pad one more time and takes the digital pen to sign the data pad. Meanwhile, his other hand is sliding out a business card, the standard one he has of polished steel coloring that is digital paint and looks like the sun gleams over it. "I'll leave this card, it has my person number as well as the business number, if any of the officers need anything…"

The Lt nods, looking at the computer now. "Thank you sir, you can see yourself out. We will contact you if there are any further questions."

Bigman smiles again, playing this as friendly and helpful as possible. Just hope the distraction was enough last night to get the job done. He stands up from his chair and turns to the exit "Have a good day"

The Lt doesn't bother watching you leave, no one seems to pay attention to you as you leave. You simply walk away, of course…..what about later? Next week, next month, is this information sitting somewhere, listing your name as 'suspicious'. Little things adding up over time, until someone realizes your not on the level? Or maybe its just like they said, they don't have time to deal with a situation where no one died, just some fire damage that could have been done by a crazy mage…..you just don't know.
