Dirty Finances

GM: Krieg
Players: BillyBob, Krieg, Miyo, Posh
Synopsis: Posh is hired by her lvl 2 Fixer contact Trevor Chang to steal a financial
data server from the Black Chrysanthemums. With the aid of Miyo and her mass
confusion as well as BillyBob as an expert get away driver, it's hhoped to
be a simple smash and grab. The target location, a local office, and perhaps
lounge front for a money laundering operation.
After a dedicated search and infiltration attempt the target is finaly
located in the basement of the establishment, beneith the bustling gambling
operation above. After a ineffective engagement of the armored RV the enemy

and evades the drone pursuit unit long enough to reach 'Legal' airspace,

The afternoon begins easily enough, a calm wind and scattered clouds grace the chilled atmosphere. Posh receives a small alert on her Pocsec as an incoming datafile becomes available. The sender is no strange, Mr. Chang. It's likely there is yet another opportunity coming up that he would like to take advantage of, one that Runners will be needed for.

The Notice blinks slowly as it awaits Posh's attention, whatever it is may be worthwhile.

Posh arches an eyebrow as she sees that there's the information coming in from Trevor, who she's been working with lately. Might even be able to kill a couple birds with a single stone.

"Miyo, might need some help with that room concept we've been talking about. The guy who we're buying from might need a little more help. I've also heard about a hotshot new driver in town," she says. "Might be able to get something set up with him, seeing if he's interested in an arrangement involving free surgery for some of his services…I've never met a rigger who didn't like free surgery."

Miyo looks up from her device that she is playing around with, looking things up and doing a tiny bit of research and locks her eyes on Posh. "Hm… Room… concept?" She cants her head to the side a bit. "Alright. In other words, I suspect you've got a job."

BillyBob is parked in the UCAS Barrens in his food truck, scrubbing bloodstains out of his RV's carpet, waiting on a call for another job. "Fraggin' bleeders, I swear." Some Dwight Yoakam plays in the background.

Posh nods to Miyo. "Indeed, I do," she says. "I've got a little datapacket. Get your cloak - we're going to head to the 'Rens.

She then fires off a message to Billybob's Shadowlands dead-drop. 'Hey. Heard you were new in town - might be interested in setting up with a full service chop shop? I'm talking full service. Things with wheels and things that walk. Meet me at the garage of the 'Stille in the Rens if you're interested.

And then she will proceed with Miyo via PV camo-van to the Rens, for the meeting with the driver. And, after all, she's planning on making him take /his/ van - why risk her own?

So when he redirects her to a different meeting point, she grins, nodding to Miyo, getting out about a block away. So that means that she and her foxy friend are just pulling down the hoods to their dirty cloaks, excellent Rens camouflage, as they walk up on BillyBob."

"Hello, hot rod," says Posh. "I was thinking I might need a getaway driver for a job. Risky, but hopefully quick," she says, with a grin. "And if you were willing, I was hoping to steal your share in exchange for…well…let's say riggers need upgrades. You'd get paid back at a rate of street minus twenty percent…and all installations with me are free."

BillyBob peers out the window and opens his door, putting a tarp over the bloodstain in his RV. "Hey ladies what's shakin'? Oh, a giddyup driver? Yeah I'm down fer that. Ya'll wanna ride with me? I need to stop at tha' corner store off the freeway and get some Skoal on the way."

Posh glances up at the RV with a smile, and then nods back to Billybob. "Indeed, I think we do," she says, sending a command back. "Well, it does indeed sound like we've made you quite an agreeable offer. Miyo, well, I think you'll want to help out on this: it's for your little den, after all," she says. "All right. Get us going and I'll put in the info packet, so we can see what my friend would like for us to do," she suggests, giving a grin. "I've never been in a Bison before - quite an impressive vehicle. Almost as capable as a Roadmaster, but lower profile…more…consumer-spec, if I'm not mistaken."

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342) rolls Shadowscene Players for "Hearing of Billybob…":

«Plot» Krieg says, "Due to the new arrivals status, The results of the roll can be explained in Plot by the Player. Or a result of 'Fresh Meat' in town can be applied if desired."

BillyBob invites the ladies on up. "Hey tha' seats is reinforced, even a troll won't break 'em! Not saying you gals is fat or anything but just know, this thang is tricked out! I use her as a food truck in the Barrens between jobs." The rigger goes ahead and jacks in and off they go, blaring country music.

Posh gives a grin. "That's an important level of thoughtfulness. You have no idea the bad scenes that I've sceen when a troll just has to stare. Such a decision is the mark of the thoughtful and well prepared," she says, taking a second look at Billybob. She then smiles a little brighter. "So, the Skoal…are you fond of it, or do you like being underestimated, or is it both?" She grins. "A talent for being underestimated is very valuable in this business."

With Billybob's permission, then, she slips the data packet Trevor'd sent her to play in the van's systems.

Miyo follows along with Posh, hood up and concealed from most views, except for the occasional glance at her face. When Posh goes to talk to Billybob in his van, Miyo gives him a little wave. "Hello." Says the more slender of the two. At the mention of her 'den', she smirks and then moved around to inspect the van that Posh is so impressed with.

BillyBob grunts. "Skoal is just my brand of chew, omae." He waits for the data packet to play on his van's system.

Soon after she does, an image of a young Asian man, with the sort of casual, relaxed, Zen-smoking air.

"Hey there, Poshie," says Trevor Chang, fixer and money washer for Shining Mountain Security - your friendly neighborhood Triad security company. "Sorry for the drop message, but here you go. Was hoping that you might be able to help me…natch, with that little thing I've got working on." From his fratboy demeanor, this guy is clearly far more beer pong than Hong Kong.

"So. I need you to…well, I got a tipoff that there's a computer used for processing Black C financial data hidden in the back office of this lounge. It won't be trix-connected - it's accessed only by clean folks. Helps to manage the payoff accounts for the whole couple blocks there. You get me that computer, or at least its hard drive, and I'll get you that. However, I've got some bad news. Word is that it's going to be moved in less than two hours. So…get this done for me, I'll give you an even more sweetheart deal on that thing we've got cooking on Golden Monkey," he says.

Posh gives a wink to Billybob. "I'm sure."

BillyBob bemoans the time limit. "Can't he give us more notice? We gonna hafta leave the Skoal for later. Two hours!" The speed of the Bison increases as it heads for the coordinates in the data packet.

Posh nods around. "All right," she says. "So, I suppose I'll sneak my way into the lounge…perhaps as a customer." She nods. "I'll have to find some way to talk my way into the back. On a signal, Miyo - you cast that insane spell of yours. The one with the crowds. I'll dash for the back room, try to shoot the door open, and make a break for it. As soon as you can see me from the van - cast an armor spell on me. Billybob - this is a proper getaway, So you're not leaving the van - and you're also monitoring frequencies, helping out electronically, keeping me in loop." She grins to both the runners in turn. "There. This one should be relatively quick, but we'll have to pull some fancy tricks. Miyo, I also think you might be able to influence the driver, or any cops that come up on us, to go after any tailing vehicles too," she says. "There, that's the rough outline. Anyone got any suggestions? We might as well start heading to the lounge in question - I've got everything I need in my purse."

She nods to Bob. "Well, I have to put my face on, still. So you've got time for the Skoal - but not much else." She winks.

Posh shifts her appearance to that of a very dumb looking blonde, making sure to make her cheeks a little extra reflective to give a cow-eyed matte sheen to her blue eyes. "Theah - how'm ah lookin' now, sugah?" she asks Billybob, trying out the kind of southern belle look she thinks might drive the boys at the Golden Lotus Lounge wild.

Miyo furrows her brow at Posh. "Just casting it… doesn't do much good… need to have some sort of goal in mind when I cast it." She laughs. "I assume some sort of distraction would be fine?" She then holds up a hand. "Also, don't count on me for anything afterwars. That spell can knock me right out even on a good day."

Posh grins at Miyo. "Make everyone inside the lounge part think there's a fire?" she asks. "As in, that they can smell smoke and feel heat? And I'll pull the fire alarm, perhaps. That way there'll be some realistic reinforcement to it."

BillyBob takes the cue from Posh and shifts off the freeway into the backstreets, heading for Triad land. The foodtruck's transponder library chip is flipped on. "I don't like 'ta leave the van anyhow." His body remains relaxed in his seat while his voice speaks over the intercom. "Ooh wee, you a mage? That's real wizbang. Try not 'ta pass out!" A pause. "You gonna need drones? I only got two on this thang. Both armed. Not too discrete."

Miyo shakes her head. "I take literal control, not suggest things to them." She frowns. "I need to make them do something. I suppose I can make them run out of the building or something."

Posh shakes her head at Billybob. "We may need them for self-defense, during the getaway," she says. "But not this," she says, nodding to Miyo. "Oh! Just make them all flee, then." she says. "That would probably work. The confusion is really all I'm hoping for. Or could you make them break out into a fight? That would probably have anyone who resisted trying to break them up."

«Plot» Krieg says, " Billybob will note that his large RV is not 'unususal' for the area though perhaps a bit more western than some of the street Junks. Traffic is lighter on vehicles and signifigantly heavier on foot and small personal transportation."

BillyBob hits a few buttons virtually and adjusts the RV's paint job, making it appear as a weathered noodle food truck with a cup of soba noodles on the side. He pulls up in an alley several blocks from where they need to be. "I'm gunna keep myself far away. How's that sound? I can pull up to tha' back entrance or tha' front when you finish."

Posh grins. "I hope you don't mind pulling up a little closer…closest you cain wait safely. After Firefox here does her hoodoo - she'll tell you when it's done, then I need you to head for the front door. I don't know where the back door is, and my map will be there. I'll be sprinting out, probably under fire," she explains. "So that's why I need you to pull right up in front of the door. I need for Miyo to be able to see me as early as possible to get that armor spell on me."

BillyBob nods and creeps a little closer. "Just give me a heads-up over comms when ya are running out. I need time to pop my turret, you scan? It's hidden but takes 'bout 3 seconds to get situated. If ya want heavy fire, that is." He squints. "Lotsa foot traffic here."

Miyo nods. "I'll armor you up. If I am still concious at the time." She laughs. "I'll need to focus." She looks over at Billybob. "That means, make sure no one disturbs me. Like, if someone comes up and tries to talk to us. Don't let them do it."

Posh also fires off a message to Krieg. «Krieg, I was wondering if you can handle some remote surveillance We need coverage, and we'll need help evading some very upset Black Cs. Please send bee drone coverage to the area around the Golden Lotus Lounge, and help BillyBob in his vehicle route us to safety on the getaway…we'll work out an arrangement regarding your suite, if you're interested.»

With that sent, it's up to Posh to adjust her clothes, her Zoe top and jeans, and little jacket looking very cas now. She leaves anything incriminating in her purse in the car - now she's got nothing but 12 EXEX rounds loaded into her arms and some makeup.

She approaches the Golden Lotus, seeing if there's any sort of bouncer or doorman she has to vapidly walk past.

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Miyo. Inside my purse is a spare taccomm. Let BillyBob hook that to his van's datajack and we'll be in good business all round. »
BillyBob vaguely bobs his head, though he is rigged in at the moment. "Ain't no worries babygirl. Nobody gonna disturb ya in this RV. But uh, stay away from the door."

The van's sensor suite remains active.
Commlink-Kit> Miyo sends, « Sure. Make sure to remember to get it back from him, though. »

Posh plants the dumbest smile on her face. "Hi there, sir! Mr. Lee asked me to meet him," she says - after all, if you go for one of the laobaixing, what are the chances there will be no Mr. Lee known to him. "Anyway, I don't want to keep him waiting! So Ahm here a little bit early."

Miyo rifles through Posh's purse and pulls out the taccom which she tosses to Billbob. "Here. Hook that up and you'll be able to hear what is going on. Anyway, I'm going to get focused up here. So, don't expect much from me."

«OOC» Miyo says, "Okay, so, I totally forgot how to roll this crowd shit."
From afar, BillyBob has clearsight and sharpshooter 3 autosofts loaded on this Bison, just in case I need to go into captain's chair or whatevs.

«OOC» Miyo says, "Basically it's just roll the spell attack and the soak, because I only need one success against plebs."

The man at the door eyes Posh with a scrutinizing gaze. He dousn't seem pleased, odd, but it must be from something else. He takes a momment as he places a finger to his ear. Another long pause occurs before he gives Posh a quick Upnod towards the door, immediatly going back to watching the surroundings for something.

«TXT to Krieg» All right. Here's the channels

Posh thanks the bouncer and heads in to look around - after all, the computer's being moved soon, in two hours. Less now. 90 minutes. Perhaps the bouncer is waiting for the delivery folks to arrive? Posh also consideres the room…and the windows. And doors.

«Plot» Posh says, "Krieg, what's the interior of the lounge look like."

The Lounge itself is tastefully decorated in reds and gold. The lighting low, and a soft music echoing through the parlor like front room. There are only a few people mixed in amoungst the many 'workers' who mingle and cater to their needs. A long tea bar dominates one wall and small entrances lead towards the back, cornering out of LOS of the entrance.

"Anyway, better get going." Choi comments to Billy before she evacs the van and scurries towards the diner. Once there, she slips up to the windows so she can get a good view of everyone necessary inside and prepares herself to begin her magicking.

«Plot» Krieg says, " Miyo can see into the dark interior, but much of it is shadowed and purposefully so. The BG is 1 as she approuches the hazey feel of the Building itself."

«Plot» Krieg says, "How stealthy was this approuch?"

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Stay in the van until I give the signal. Remember, I need to scout this first. »

Posh glances at the small entrance leading out the back - the few people mixed in among the workers. She takes a moment to try to glance at the glass - is it see through? One way? Does it look like a big pane of it could be shot out with explosive bullets?

The first thing Posh notices upon entering is the obvious fog of drug vapor in the air. She can see the glass is tempered, but typical for this area no true anti-magic surface.

Posh moves slowly as she holds open the door, creating room for Miyo to cause some pandemonium. It doesn't have to get everyone - just enough people starting a fight to cause confusion.

As Miyo rolls up to the place uninvited the man at the door immediatly takes note of her approuch and looks her direction.

The casting does not seem opposed for the momment, mundanes abound! The splattering of people inside fall victim to the spells effect.

«Plot» Krieg says, " Miyo, what are these people doing?"

«Plot» Miyo says, "I will have them fight and harass our targets, if appicable."

«Plot» Miyo says, "And which there is no target that I can target, I'll just have them flee into the street."

«Plot» Krieg says, " There is no apparant targets in the area that you know of. Though the Bouncer at the front is likely to want a word with you in a momment. (remember deeply opposed actions) will allow them to contest the spell and unless you remain present it may be successful."

«Plot» Miyo says, "That's why I have Billybob!"

BillyBob is sitting rigged in his food truck outside, just a little down the street. He whispers into the taccom, "Everythang lookin' good out here." He continues to manually scan the sensors.

«Plot» Krieg says, " Billybob, Active sensor test please, Open roll is fine."

With a lack of any particular target the mob within the interior of the place seem to druggidly stumble and flee into the street outfront of the parlor. The undrugged staff flees more easily.

The Doorman looks back over his shoulder seeming suprised about the sudden departure of the clients from within. He glances back to Miyo for a momment before heading to the door to check the interior for a problem.

«Auto-Judge[]» BillyBob (#10588) rolls 5:

As soon as the undrugged staff starts to flee the building, Posh screams, as if in hysterical panic. "Oh my God! I've got to get out of here! Got to get out of here!" She flees the 'wrong' way - right towards the back door.

As she sprints towards that back door, Posh lowers her shoulder just a bit…if it looks reinforced first, well, there'll be two bursts of EXEX rounds to help clear the way a bit.

«Plot» Krieg says, " The door dousn't appear to be re-inforced, it's a basic swinging type that obscures the area behind it."

BillyBob clicks on the taccomm. "Spotted a drone with no transponder around the building. Probly surveillance. Hey, lotsa folks runnin' out the door!" The food truck remains running a little down from the entrance.

The unlocked swinging door poses nearly no resistance as Posh goes flying right through it, the door swinging out of her way as she continues on into a Red light hallway lined with doors.

Miyo staggers into the streets as if she's been whacked by something and then does her best to shake it off. "Whew…" She then looks back for Posh. Hopefully she could handle it.

Posh sees a number of doors in here. «Handle the bouncer. See if you can cast a spell on him to get him to run too» She then starts to push door by door, seeing if she can find where an offline, financials computer might be stashed, knowing that now she's in serious danger - she'd depending on the disguise and combat skills now.

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342) rolls Intelligence for "Looking around, fast but alert":
4 4 5 5 8 8 11 11

The first door opens easily into an empty room with a bed and nightstand. it looks like a hotel room complete with a small bathroom yet far shabbier. The decor matches the front area, a few fresh cigs are snuffed out on an ashtray.

The secound room matches the first the bed is messy and unkept.

A third room as Posh continues moving along seems inhabited by consenting adults, they don't seem to notice her even open the door.

AS muh as Miyo would love to help Posh by subduing the bouncer, she doesnt have it in her to do so. Her previous spell wiped her out pretty badly, so she moves back towards the van and gets inside where she curls up.

The rooms seem dedicated to profit driven activities. There is a final door at the end of the hallway, it's possible the rest are just copies of the first rooms. The door at the end is indeed a security door of some type.

The other 7 matching doors all seem unlocked, some occupied others barren. The last door is all that remains infront of Posh. As she approuches it the sound of the swinging door behind her opening is heard as the Bodyguard steps into the hallway.

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342) rolls Intelligence:
1 2 4 4 5 5 8 10

«Plot» Krieg says, "The Doorman has the same grumpy unpersonable expression as he had origionally upon seeing you outside. It's tough to tell if he is just uncharismatic, or perhaps unexpressionative. He has not reached for any weapons upon immediate eyecontact."

Posh immediately takes on a look of distress. "Where? How..? Help me…How do I get out?" She's trying to mimic the same kind of crazed look that the Bodyguard would have seen on a lot of other people, already.

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342) rolls Negotiation + 4 for "Eeek! Trying to pretend to be scared.":
1 1 2 2 3 4 4 4 5 5 8

The Man gestures back out the door and looks somewhat displeased. He mumbles somethings in a Chinese Dialect as he does, keeping a watchful eye on the outsider.

«Plot» Posh says, "I had a Cantonese R6 knowsoft - what did he say?"

«Plot» Krieg says, " A string of niceties about idiot foreign street walkers and drugged out etc etc. Under his breath."

Posh continues, however, to just say, 'Help me! Help me!" in English, like the stupid gwailo she's pretending to be. Likely, the bodyguard has already dealt with a number of not fully responsive people.

He seems much more insistant this time and begins approuching Posh, "Get out of here. This is the wrong way."

But Posh is still losing it. "Oh my god! What's happening? I have to get out of here! I have to get out!" she says, over and over, hyperventilating, trying to force real agitation.

Something should help with that…oh yes, indeed, a hit of kamikaze. Her auto-injector activates and she seems to be absolutely freaking out. "Ppleasepleaseplesples help me!"

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342) rolls Body - 3 vs TN 7 for "Addiction test":
2 2 4 4 10 11 = 2 Successes

When the drug tweaker gets worse he stops his approuch, putting a finger to his ear again as he watches the junkie. "Bring a bag." he says quietly in Cantonese.

Posh doesn't seem to understand what 'a bag' means - presumably he didn't want her to throw up. Of course, he could be subvocalizing to tell them to bring a bodybag, but she has confidence enough in her acting like all of the people outside that in either case, she'll be able to deliver quite the suprise.

«Plot» Krieg says, " Billybob you Can detect a few more Drones in the area now. 2 Of them seem to be sleightly larger Rotodrones, likely similar in size to a Strato."

The Doorman dousn't seem to take any action to approuch Posh after her tweaking. Keeping an eye on her, he waits. The far door in the hallway makes a metalic Clank and it begins to open slowly.

Posh shrieks as she sees the door opening. "OH MY GOD thank you thank you thank you! A way out! A way out!" she shrieks, her hands up above her head crazily as she runs towards that opening door…it might be painful, but that won't matter with the Kamikaze, and no doubt it'll be a big surprise to whoever was pushing the door open, to have Posh trying to shove her way through the opening door.

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « The fox is back in the henhouse, sleepin' off that drek. You OK in thar? »

«Plot» Krieg says, "The door dousn't appear to have been opened by anyone in particular.. Automated perhaps. It opens slowly and Posh can attempt to wiggle herself inside before the Bouncer reacts if she wants to."

"I said that was the wrong way.." The bouncer enacts a classic facepalm as he watches the druggie rush the door.

As Posh wiggles inside she's greeted by a much lighter room filled with several round tables. A dozen men are seated at the tables playing Mahjong. They all appear to be Underworldish, tatt'd, wearing glasses, obviously armed. A single man is standing near the door with a large paper bag in one hand and a cig in the other, his finger still on the button that controls the door as Posh enters. "Why can't they keep this scum out of the damn place, burnouts…" he says in Cantonese.

Posh's heart sinks as she sees the more than a dozen men in the room, realizing that there's no real way to proceed further. She can't see any way through. And so, she reaches for the bag, allowing herself to be escorted out the front.

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Cover not broken, but they're way heavier staffed than I expected. Too deep. I should be out soon - don't bust cover, I suppose. »

Posh is escorted out with the others, the man with the bag and bouncer seeming to clear the other people out of the rooms as well. Except that back room which is resealed. It does seem this building is 'compartmentalized, likely to give the back a better cover. The men in the gambling area looked of loose affiliations, likely not all from the same gangs, or families, customers of the illegal activities more than staff..

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Hate 'ta leave empty handed. Want me to send in some fire support? »

Posh reaches gratefully for the bag, allowing herself to be slowed down a bit. She still seems utterly confused a bit about what would happen. A gambling operation? This was just supposed to be a local office for money laundering. Her head whirls a bit.

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « I don't know. More than a dozen in the back. Not all on staff, but most looked like rough customers. They'd have easily mobbed me. »

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « They still think I'm some kind of tweaker. What do we have? Eighty minutes? »

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Are your drones armored and specced for close combat? »

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « I'm cooking up a Plan B, if you don't want to leave empty handed. »

Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « It took longer than expected, my apologies. What is it you would like? »

«Plot» Krieg says, "Yes, that is someone new on Comms. New to Billy at least."

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Oh, thank goodness, Krieg. We need to do a cloaked smash and grab. I guess if you brought Senshi we'd be all good. »

Posh gets into Billybob's vehicle, a couple minutes after, emerging under the escort. However, it seems time runs out for her, and her eyes roll up and she slumps. "N…damn…kami…" she slurrs a bit, before passing out on Miyo.

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « My doberman has an LMG and armor. My strato-9 is a flier, won't do much good. »

BillyBob is rigged in still, but internal sensors tell him that his RV is turning into a flophouse. "H-hey! Dang man, two chicks in my RV? Is this technically a threesome?" The mulleted Rigger says hello to Krieg.
Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Uh hey Krieg. I think my face just passed out. »

Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « Greetings Mr. Billy, Your face has passed out? Is it possible you are experiencing a stroke, I would suggest immediate medical attention. »

BillyBob jacks out of the rigging interface and turns, going back to check on Posh and give her a shake. "Hey! Hey! We got work 'ta do!" He grabs her purse and roots around, still not having a medpac. "Gotta have some stims!"

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342)'s Snap-Tight Purse (#12911) has the Voucher Item 8 Stimulant Patch R6 with the following information:

«Plot» Krieg says, " You have a great deal of Intel now Billy, ideas of the interior. Numbers of people, some equipment suggestions. An RV full of bodies, what could go wrong?"

«Auto-Judge[]» Posh (#11342) uses 1 of item 1: Stimulant Patch R6 from New Voucher (#1651).

BillyBob tears open the stimulant patch, staring at it under the light to make sure which part is the adherent part. He slaps it on Posh's neck. "There. Wake up!"

Posh's eyes suddenly snap open, her head shaking. Well, a Kamikrash followed by a nice stim patch is going to leave you a bit woozy. "Oh…err…" she grunts out a bit. "So," she says. "We've got a little…we've got a problem. Looks like a bunch of guys in the back. I figured the…the heavies might be out front," she says. "Look. I'll cloak up, go ruth now. All you need to do is bust in with that Dobe," she says. "Load up with gel or rebound. We don't want to leave a bunch of bodies to…stir up a hornet's nest. Load the strato, though….best you got. It might have to take out a drone or two…on the extract." She smiles. "Or you can call a scram, BillyBob. But that's my backup. Seriously, though - that drone of yours would be invulnerable," she says. "Now all we need to do is…take my orientation map…and figure out the best entrance into that back area, based on the building."

BillyBob gulps. "Yah well. Ya gotta be fast. Let's call in Krieg to scout da roof though - maybe we can get you up there? I seen a drone up there, so maybe there's drones doing drops or something. Maybe you go in from the roof, find some sorta dumbwaiter, find that hard drive all boxed up fer transport and make off with it like a moonshiner in da night."

Posh frowns a bit. "I think it's more likely that they're simply extra…security for the transfer in a couple hours. Something odd happened…are there any more drones around? Reinforcements, so to speak?" she asks.

Posh pulls her ruth cloak on, and then nods. "All right," she says. "Take me back 'round to the rear entrance," she says. "Then I'll sneak up, open the back door, and…let your drone in. Then I'll try to find the computer in the confusion. If they haven't already been spooked and made off with it.

«Plot» Krieg says, " The back entrance of the place is in a dark alleyway. Dumpsters and boxes line the place, a metal door with a small covered overhang and red light sits welcoming on the rear of the building."
comm I will do so.
Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « I will do so. »

As Posh doesn't see any live security, she pulls up her hood and then sneaks up as best as she can. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. On the mapping system she sets out a path for the Doberman to approach as quietly as possible, unseen.

page billybob=I beleive they are a complex to activate and open..and then 1 to launch? I'd have to check.
You paged BillyBob with 'I beleive they are a complex to activate and open..and then 1 to launch? I'd have to check.'.

«Plot» Krieg says, " It's possible the Doberman could skirt the boxes, but it's mostly a straight open alleyway. There does not appear to be any cameras of physicals ecurity. Just a large metal door."

«Plot» Posh says, "Any lock on the door?"

«Plot» Krieg says, " The door is smooth on this side, it dousn't even have a handle."

«Plot» Posh says, "How tall is the building?"

«Plot» Krieg says, "It does not look overly built, just a common security door that opens from inside. 1.5 Stories tall. so roughly 5M or so?"

Posh steps back and aims her wrist mounted grappling gun to the edge of the roof, and then fires it, hoping to be reeled up…and that the reeling is slow enough for her ruthenium to keep up. Yes, she is now at the point where she is ascending buildings via grappling hook in a high tech hooded cape. Sad.

Nothing opposes Posh in her assent up the building. The grapple softly whines for a momment, but ultimately she easily arrives at the top edge and may pull herself up and over onto the roof…or simply lurk and observe it.

Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « I do not see any current drone activity, there is a small marked launch area and a stairway entrance. »

Posh clambers rather gracelessly onto the roof, rolling over and getting her cape a bit dirty. She curses a little, and starts trying to brush off her stealthwarp - dirt on ruth is a bad combination. She then starts to try to sneak downstairs - she wants to open that one-way door for the drone, fast. That's the idea.

The door on the roof isn't locked, it leads to a stairwell that decends down, and down, past the floor below it. Posh will find herself on the basement floor in a small hallway with two rooms on opposite ends. A flickering glow of light comes form one and the sound of people talking from the other.

Not having the benefit of a particular select sound filter, or an empty glass, Posh tries to figure out the location of that particular door that she'd planned to open for BillyBob.

«Plot» Krieg says, " According to the last GPS signal Posh is below the elevation of the street at the momment. The stairwell went directly to the basement level."

Alone, and rather wounded down here, Posh figures that the computer must be in the basement. And likely is being transferred by whoever is in that room. So, gritting her teeth against the exhausting, the deep deep exhausting she feels, she readiers herself, and then…pushes through that door.

Two men are working at a table when Posh enters. The room is tables upon tables covered in stacks of various bills, notes, cash types, and various smuggleable items. They do not seem to be immediately aware of her entry to the room, the talk back and forth loudly, jovial.

Posh looks around, to see if there's any computer equipment in here. This is clearly, quite clearly, a counting room. Posh switches her hair to black. She switches her eyes to black, in case she gets spotted. She grits her teeth though - she'll never pass without a proper disguise. So instead she begins to move, slowly, around the slow men…..preparing, looking for any evidence of a computer.

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « We've got a big jackpot here. A counting room. Check out this feed…» Which Posh displays, all sorts of various corp scrips on display on the tables. »

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Uh, roger dodger. Tell me if you want me to blow the back door off or sumtin. Deployed my strato-9 for fire support. I can deploy my doberman if yas need it. »

There are dozens of packages on the tables, each initialed in Traditional markings and wrapped externally in a brown paper like material with twine. They seem to be made to mix easily into the local shops inventories and be mistakable for typical spices, bulk goods, and dried herbs.

The men seem distractd enough to not notice when they are not approuched directly by Posh. The room itself is large and has some small dumbwaiter like automated conveyers in one corner as more things come down from the floor above.

The other room is still yet undiscovered in the hallway.

Posh sneaks over to begin investigating what items might be being dropped in the corner from the dumbwaiter from above. Hmmm. If items are being dropped into this room, who's doing the dropping? But if the stairwell is direct to here…she looks to see if there's any way /she/ could make it up the dumbwaiter, or if it's just too big.

«Plot» Krieg says, " Billy is able to easily make a visual assessment of the immediate area and structure with the powerfull Sensor suite of the Strato unit. Outfront of the building the small crowd of jibbering people keep 2 workers distracted. Out back a man exits the structure and begins down the Alleyway out away from the RVs direction. The same Transponderless signal is noticeable in the distance, still on Billy's sensor overlay after it had traveled and made it's run to another local building."

The items from above apear to be plastic wrapped bundles of various unorganized and unsorted notes. The conveyer system itself is quite small, designed for objects perhaps no larger than a case of fruit. it is possible a small child could fit inside.

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Feeding my drone's eye-in-the-sky to you via taccomm. »

Posh realizes that she'd been totally remiss in something, and so she ensures that a feed of everything that she sees gets updated via her cyberlink to Billy, on the fly now. «Sorry I wasn't totally online before»

She moves to leave the room as quietly as possible, sadly bidding goodbye to the notes with her eyes. Later, my pretties, she thinks. Later. She then frowns. But if they have so much cash there, the responses are likely to be way tighter, way tougher than expected from the job Trevor gave her.

So how to get at that computer…well, there's another door, with a flashing red light. So she sneaks over as best as she can to open up that one now. With all of the data updating, BillyBob's able to live in information heaven.

BillyBob remains in the captain's chair observing, giving simple orders to his Strato-9. It appears to be a regular Lone Star drone for now. The gentleman exiting the back causes the hillbilly rigger to tense; but after a moment, he walks the other way, so BillyBob does not act. He also observes Posh's feed just with idle curiosity.

As Posh approuches she can see the other door is cracked open. Through the slit in the door she can see dozens of Monitors, video feeds, recordings, surveilance, burners, and computer equipment. This, whatever it is, must be the hub or where it was being processed. No one seems to eb in the room but another door on the oppposite side of it may lead upward.

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Hey you peep that? Looks like paydirt, lotsa computers and shiz. »

Posh glances around the computer equipment, trying to assess to see if there's anything of particular value or opporutunity to nab.

Perhaps a little quietly, she begins, seeing if she can find a main computer, as well as a case for it, with memory storage to steal. It's difficult to tell…either the hub isn't being moved or it's being reorganized. In either case, she attempts see if there's any way to perform a quick search as a basic user.

The hub itself would require some form of system to defeat it's access password. Physically There is a container sitting next to one of the terminals, it's some form of Optic chip data matrix bulk device. Posh can see what appears to be Hundreds of small chip connections in the structure. It's been removed from the main unit already, perhaps that's the storage they needed, it certainly appears to be large.

«Plot» Krieg says, " Of note, there are Dozens of pilferable items available in the room. While many of them may be difficult to know what they are without accessing them first. This appears to be an illegal server and data smuggling operations room. You would imagine a Decker would be here…somewhere."

Posh looks around briefly for a cyberdeck. She reasons that a decker only doesn't bring her cyberdeck with her when hitting the bathroom. So either the deck will be here, and it's just a matter of waiting, or she can find the decker by looking for the cyberdeck.

There is a jack point next to a chair amoungst the monitors. The Decker, must be upstairs..or maybe one of the men in the other room. Even without them present it is possible one could try and access the Storage medium that is sitting on there. While it is small enough to carry it's incredibly dense, an optic line input exists on it as well as a battery baack-up and self contained storage monitoring and likely built in node.

Posh lifts her head for a moment, considering. She looks at the large hard drive in the room, with the jack point. If storage is to be moved, this is likely to be it. She grabs the hard drive, thinks for a moment, and makes a decision…and just yanks it right out of the wall and makes a run for it. Hey, battery backup. It must be ready in case someone trips over it, right? The plan is to immediately beat feet up the staris, and then….

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Pull up right next to the back door and make sure you're holding it closed with the van. I'm going to be jumping onto your roof. »

Posh reasons that it was a featureless, one way security door, pushed from the inside, for quick exit. They never open inward.

When Posh Pulls the large drive unit she can feel the Umph of the nearly 20kg device, this thing is loaded. The monitors Flicker and blacken as she exits the room and heads for the stairwell. As she starts up the stairs theres a Loud commotion coming from the rooms of the hallway.

However, Posh figures that she's got direct access to the roof, as quickly as she can, and then it's from the roof to the van. So she ignores the loud commotion for now, committing to her original idea, and sprints up to the roof.

BillyBob issues a quick command to the Strato-9 to come in closer in the alley and cover. The rigger then assumes control of his Bison RV, driving it around the alley corner and wedging a side rather close to the door, making it difficult for anyone to open it via swinging it outward.

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Yeah I'm waitin' down here for you. »

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Cool as a cucumber too. »

Posh does not seem opposed and easily makes it to the roof exit. Devoting herself to progressing forward she seems to outpace whatever is behind her.

The roof is still barren but the small landing area lights up with small flickering strobes. Billy's Strato is able to see th Inbound transport drone that left earlier, seeming to be on approuch to the roof.

The RV blocks the majority of the Alleyway.

Posh immediately sprints towards the edge of the roof. It's a big drop, and she's not super light. And she's going fast. She looks around for anything softer than the top of the van, but the top of the van it may have to be.

A tremendous crash-crunch smacks into the top of the van after falling, Posh having managed to toss her rather sturdy frame onto the center of the vehicle, while turning so that she takes the weight of the hard drive in her tummy. BillyBob's van is likely rather rocked by the impact, but then she's rolling off and trying to get in, knocking on the door and then hopping in as soon as BillyBob opens up. "I think we've got our toy. Now it's up to you to break contact," she says, with a quick smile.

BillyBob gives another order for the Strato-9 to follow. The rigger then drives off out of the alley, maneuvering for the highway and out of the Triad area, looking like a proper food truck. "I hope you got it. I don't wanna come back here, Triad guys ain't no good."

"Well, that's why I didn't want to kill any of them if I didn't have to," Posh explains. "I try to hit them with different MOs - I've got a couple of pals who used to run with the Triads, specifically, the competition of these fellows," she says. "Let's see if we can hide and change colors a bit - I'm sure they're trying to track you," she says, still a little nervous.

«Plot» BillyBob says, "I will catch the drone in the drone rack as they go."

«Plot» BillyBob says, "Since I don't want to get on the freeway with this thing following me."

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Drive acquired…hopefully. We're going to try to blend in with the traffic where there'll be quite a few of these road cruisers. »

Having made what amounts to an educated guess, but /still/ having risked theft without having been spotted, she thinkgs, though they know they're on general attack, she'll be a bit safer now.

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Very well, Krieg - we've got a drive for you here, ready for processing now. Let's see if you can crack its shell for Trevor, if we need to. Or can I check it remotely without a deck, safely? »

Only a few secounds behind Posh 2 men emerge to the edge of the Building, armed, obsservant, seeming to be looking for someone.

The transport drone that was inbound is still on Billy's sensor grid, it does appear to be tailing the RV from the air.

Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « I would advise not accessing it unless needed, can you not deliver it as is? »

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « I suppose I can. He's likely to have people for that. »

BillyBob finagles a few controls. With the aid of the photovoltaic paint, the morphing license plate, and the transponder chip library in the Bison RV, he changes his vehicle from a noodle food truck to a brownish delivery RV. "Drone is tracking us. Will attempt to lose it."

And thus Posh puts aside the unit and considers. "All right," she says. "Do you have any backup weapons in here? We may have to shoot that thing out of the sky," she says. "You know, I could drive your van, while you rolled out on the doberman," she says. "If we aren't fast enough to lose it. That could give us the space we need," she says.

«Plot» Krieg says, " The RV is able to easily leave the men behind. As it pulls away the door is able to open a a small flood of angry gun toting individuals come out. While they ar armed, they arn't capable of delivering anything of sufficient force to harm the departing RV."

Posh reaches into her purse on the ground of the van - which she'd left inside, thankfully, and pulls out a datacable, to hook into BillyBob's beloved van, if he likes. Or he could trust the drone's pilot, if the chasing drone requires interdiction. "I doubt that transport's well armored against that thing you've got there. It's probably a…chase of opportunity you could say."

The Drone seems to be following at a stand-off distance, it's possibel to attempt numerous methods to evade or engage it.

BillyBob grunts. "I got a pop-up turret, but it ain't anti-air. Don't know if we could hit it. Imma try to lose it. This RV's signature is huge though, might be tough." Evasive maneuvers engage.

"Yes, that's why I've gone electric on mine…but on something like this you can get nitrous," she says. "Besides, you sort of lose less to the turret. Let me know if I can be of any assistance," she says, sitting back on one of the chairs, looking for something to hold onto or buckle in with.

BillyBob says over the intercom, "No need to blow it out of the sky just yet - it don't got not transponder, looks illegal as shit. Once we get into legal territory Lone Star will be all up its poopchute."

Posh grins. "And you've got a nice chip?" she asks. "Well, I suppose that's what happens when you're used to operating only in your own turf," she replies.

BillyBob squeals the tires of his massive recreational vehicle as he picks up speed, weaving out from the underpass and through a series of local streets and buildings. Then he gets back on the proper interstate after another photovoltaic paint change. "We lost 'em," he says over the intercom. And once he is confident in that he jacks out, letting the drone pilot do the driving. "Hokay, we're safe. You gotta get me some of them bumblebee drones, girl."

Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « Have you been able to successfuly depart the area then? The target location seems to be swarmed with individuals who do not look pleased. »

Commlink-BillyBob> BillyBob sends, « Yeah we gone wit' the wind, Scarlet! »

Posh grins at Billybob. "You've certainly earned your share in credit from me tonight from me tonight," she says, offering her hand. "Nice to work with you - and I hope this won't be the last time - especially seeing as you're so cool under pressure. Kept me a little steady, I've got to admit. And…hmm. I think you've certainly earned it. I'll see if I can't get ahold of one," she says. "Or maybe we should both get an introduction to a drone fixer sometime, Might be a good fellow for us both to know."

And with that, she sends a message off to Trevor Chang, offering for a dropoff locations. And then, she relaxes, to enjoy the ride.

"Do the windows roll down? Mind if I've a smoke? I need one after that one.

Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Looks like we made it out quick. Thanks to BillyBob. No bodies left behind, just a lot of confusion. »

Commlink-Krieg> Krieg sends, « A responce force is showing up now, local triad enforcers. I will be departing the area, if you require anything else please let me know. »
Commlink-Posh> Posh sends, « Indeed, Krieg. Thank you very much for your assistance. »

Chang gets Posh the info she needs, quickly. He seems as impatient to receive the device as you were to retreive it.

Posh quickly updates BillyBob on the dropoff address.

BillyBob switches to regular ol' driving mode. "Yah sure, just crack it a lil though, it compromises the gas seal." He pops a can of Skoal out of his sun visor and, while holding the steering wheel with a knee, puts a big piece of dip in his lower lip. "Or try smokeless, it's real hygienic." He glances at the virtual dashboard as coordinates come through and guides them on over.

Posh opens up a light and gives BillyBob a smile, slipping into the passenger seat now as the ride smooths out and she can light a nail for herself, finally relaxing a bit.

She is done by the time it's time for the drop, and she's back in the red hair and shades guise that she's been using for her brand a little bit lately. "With my compliments to Mr. C," she says, at the address mentioned.

«Plot» Krieg says, " With that no additional opposing forces will occur. The mission ultimately is a success."
BillyBob switches to regular ol' driv

«Plot» Posh says, "Just clarifiying - Miyo has already RPed accepted her payout going to reduce the cost of the build, as will Posh for Trevor. BillyBob has agreed to trade Posh his share for 35k credit for her; to be paid by her getting him a bee drone, for starters. She will ask Trevor, also, to put that for her deal. Is that all right, BB? :)"
