Synopsis: After calling Criticalfault and Viktor, Gene's phone is traced to his apartment. *cue Lone Star SWAT theme music*

«Plot» Gene says, "man behind the trigger. Gene doesn't want to accidentally blow away one of his friends :)"

«Plot» Thog says, "Alright. Gimme a Pose, at your apt. Time is about 9 pm, plz include how your dressed and a short desc of size of apartment, to include
number of rooms, and windows."
It's a normal quiet evening for Gene, sitting around his apartment in his undies, ready to go out for a night on the town. For a shadowrunner, that
means the tough side of town. He's having a bowl of cereal for dinner, padding around and getting ready to go out. He lives in an el-cheapo three room
apartment. The first room is a combination kitchen, living room, and dining nook, and a short hallway goes off into a bedroom and bathroom. It's on the
second floor, in the CAS sector, windows are few, there's a view of the neighboring building and an alleyway in the bedroom, any other 'windows' are trideo
sets made to show scenery that's a little more interesting.

Night time, the trid and the shadowlands trix sites have been a buzz lately with all sorts of paranoid and wierd shit. Must be the moon cycle. Still
though, one would barely notice the shadow on the street, until there's a muted flash, followed by the crash of the window. Something metallic bounces off
the cheap dresser before rolling to a stop on the floor hissing a with some heat and quickly billowing smoke that is virtually opaque and burns sensitive
membranes, like the eyes, nose, mouth, and lungs.
Gene stops in mid-bite of wheaties. The fuck? His spoon still in his mouth, he reaches for his heavy pistol in the side table and clicks the laser
sight on, going to investigate by peeking around the hallway.

Framed by the door, in mid stride back to cover, is a large black clad person holding what looks like a portable battering ram, the type that swat
uses to go in hot. This person, looks to be taller then the door, or nearly so.

Gene suddenly realizes his pistol is just not going to be enough. He dives for the MMG his has set up for just such an occasion and pushes the stock into his shoulder, heart rate rising…

A second figure, on the left side of the door, the troll having returning to the right. Flicks a canister into the room, it rolls across the floor
hits the front tri-pod foot of the MMG rolling back to the right towards the door. It comes to rest offline of the door but half way between MMG and door
where it lies menacingly. The figure ducks back behind the meager cover of the wall.

Another person steps around the canister tosser, yells something you don't understand and flings an accusitory finger at you. Invisibly sending mana to course and disrupt your system, or at least partially disable it. His movement gives him some cover behind the currently still retreating troll.

«Plot» Gene says, "My action is to stand right back up, hoof it to the other side of the apartment, and pick up/draw my pistol again for ACTION."

Eh? Grenade? Eh? Magic? OW MAGIC. Gene finds his impromptu machinegun nest isn't as safe as he thought and grunts as he clambers back onto his feet, the sting of a Stunbolt slowing his actions considerably. He does a perfect commando roll to pick up his dropped sidearm, and generally puts as much distance between him and the grenade as possible

This troll is bloody fast. After the half-step out of the line of the throw, the steps once into the room. A large gas-mask covering his features.
With that step he fluidly grabs a large pistol at his hip and fires. The round slamming home in Gene's chest where it bounces off leaving a nice bruise but
doing nothing appreciable.

Gene grunts slightly. He's used to absorbing gunfire but usually with full battle rattle on. Form fit is not really made to stop heavy pistol
rounds.

The guy that tossed the canister steps into the doorway between the Mage and troll, then side steps to the troll's left. Drawing his weapon, right at the same time this canister starts billowing thick white smoke emitting a soft hiss from the bottom of the can.

The Mage advances two steps into the room. One directly behind the troll, then next to the troll's right. Again raising a hand, before pointing in
your direction.

The hitter fires his weapon twice, one striking something that sounds like flesh, though he doesn't know where. The second sings out the broken
window.
Gene grits his teeth through the quite considerable pain as a gel round bounces off his meat-arm. He can see freedom. Or at least partial freedom.
The Mage curses this one part of the plan, knowing he has to see his opponent. With a bit of resignation he unlimbers his shotgun and wracks a round while running in a low crouch to the corner where hall and wall are.

The troll fires twice, the boom of the weapon loud in the apartment. Again, struck by the trolls weapon for no real damage, your goal is
tantilizingly close, a brief gust of wind stirs the stinging smoke.

In his damaged and CS gas clouded state, he manages to angle himself headfirst out the window. With a 200+ pound thud, he lands on his head and shoulders on the asphalt. Surprisingly, reinforced bones don't break that easily, and he sloppilly staggers to his feet and away from his apartment complex, towards the parking structure where he keeps his cars…Gene does, that is.
