Note: At Initiate Grade 1, you have an Astral Pool of 1. You can use this like combat pool or spell pool, it refreshes the same. You can use it on any tests.. other than Sorcery rolls.

«Plot» Black says, "Unless you know some NPC that Black can 'hire out' to watch over him, he will likely project from the safety of his apartment, maybe call a friend to check on him after a while."

«Plot» Black says, "Black would give Rose a key and allow her to stand watch over him. It's a contact. He'd of course pay for the service if this is applicable. Closest contact he has to a friend which would do something like that. In case of an emergency she is allowed to take him to be treated."

«Plot» Black says, "And we can totally use one of the safehouses she has instead."

Black had taken the time to call up Rose. It was time for an Astral Quest, but he needed a safe place and someone to tend to him. He knew few that could heal him that were available at that time, and he also did not have much useful preperation. Which is why he must do such a quest. To increase his abilities. When he had arrived, he nods towards the woman while they all set up, then with a thumbs up he settles back and takes a meditative stance, while he begins to project out into the astral and beyond…

Black finds himself in a… Black expanse.. floating. Wait.. he feels something solid underfoot.. the floor. A prick of light in the distance and he finds himself drawn to it.

Zoom!! As if my thought he is in a well lit office with filing cabinet and a stainless steel desk. Behind the desk sits Carl Jackson.. or someone that looks damn well just like him.

Carl kicks his feet up on the desk, "So… it's about time you got off your ass and finally did an astral quest. You think things were going to come easy and given to you?"

Black understands that this is likely not his Fixer, but all the same he moves forward while he motions to a seat, then he takes it while he settles about and folds both his hands together in his astral form. "Not at all, in any case… It is good to see what it all is about at this point," he voices, with a charming smile.

Carl sighs as if a disappointed parent and pulls a blank book of blank pages out of a desk drawer and then hands Black an ink pen and slides them across the table for him, "Write me up a workable spell formula for a Hume rating (Force) three (3) stunball.. and I'll consider you worth enough to pass and continue with your quest."

Need you to work up the TN's and +roll what is needed for a R6 Stunball Spell Design test.

Carl pours himself a glass of burboun and drinks from it as he waits with an unimpressed gaze upon Black.

Black takes a moment and wrinkles his nose a bit, while he looks at the ink pen and then takes a tome, perhaps even parchment should some be about. He has a unique method but he likes the old ways, as such he literally writes runes with the ink that are willed by his technique, then he slides that back after a while to Carl.

Carl examines the -attempt-… with a scornful look he sighs, "Fine… seems like you have some legitimate skills after all." He motions to a closet door to the side of the room, "You may proceed."

Black stands up and next moves towards the door, "Thank you," he calls back. Then he tries to open the door and squeaks at the reaction it returns to him. He does manage to resist with some effort, before he tries to move past it.

The next room beyond awaits.. a blank room with white walls and white floor. As he enters the door closes behind himself. A glance back.. yep.. shut solidly.

Looking back into the room he just enterd it's suddenly no longer empty. In the middle of the room is a man tied to a chair and a woman with a gun questioning him.

«Place of Charisma»: Purpose of this place is to diffuse or solve the situation with a Charisma based skill or attribute (not combat).

The man looks over to Black, "I tell you.. I SWEAR.. I don't know what she's asking me.. I didn't do it!"

Black looks to the scene while he blinks a bit and then seems confused as he backs up a moment. Then he steps forward a little, "Wait, there must be an easier way to solve this… Haven't you heard such techniques only extract false information?" he asks. He is fast to speak because to be honest, whether or not it's real he wants to see noone hurt.

The woman pauses and reholsters the gun, "Well.. you try and get it out of him then.. he won't talk."

Black takes the moment to hold up his palm, then he moves forward a bit, "Listen, I can't ask the information for free," he voices, which likely would receive a nod, "But… Your life is better served still being alive. That said it's best to give the information and we can make it worth your while, nuyen, different information, whatever you like. An equivelant exchange is best."

The tied up man nods, agreeing and then opens his mouth. From his mouth a BLAST of sound so loud it can knock a toddler right off their feet hits Black in the face and then the man passes out.

Heading into the Dweller's room, Carl is standing by his desk with a large looking parchment tome with leather binding and drawings on the cover, "Well.. shit.. you did okay chump. This book will unlock the secrets of the stunball spell for you.. take your time and study it as much as you need… you may leave the room once you understand the book fully."

Black moves towards the door and then grunts a bit while his body is hit from that door. Then he heads back. Once he sees Carl, he tilts his head a bit, then he chuckles, moves to settle about, and reaches for the tome, "Thank you."
