House Rules - Workingtime

House Rules - Workingtime

This is a simple table to solve the issues with working times on queues. Covering the Sleep Regulator bioware, Sustenance Power and the Long Haul drug. All fractions are rounded up.

No Sleep Regulator/Sustenance power:

8 hours of work per day, side-plotting is ok.
11 hours of work per day, side-plotting is denied.

Sleep Regulator/Sustenance power:

10 hours of work per day, side-plotting is ok.
14 hours of work per day, side-plotting is denied.

Long Haul:

The Long Haul book reference states that you can stay awake for 4 days (96 hours) with one dose, then crash for 8d6 hours. If you take a second dose, the char can stay awake for more 1d6/2 days (that ranges between 24 to 72 hours) and then takes 10D(stun) before rolling the crash time.

It doesn't stack with the Sleep Regulator or Sustenance, acting before its effect. During the time under the influence of the drug, side-plotting is denied.

Examples:

Sarah Decker is programming and doesn't have a sleep regulator. The base time of her task is 120 hours: If she works 8 hours per day, the task is completed in 15 days and she can join plots. If she works 11 hours per day, the task is completed in 10.9, rounded to 11 days, but she cannot join plots.

Greg Decker is programming and has a sleep regulator. The base time of his task is 120 hours: If he works 10 hours per day, the task is completed in 12 days and he can join plots. If he works 14 hours per day, the task is completed in 8.5, rounded to 9 days, but he cannot join plots.

Sarah takes a dose of Long Haul and starts a 120 hours programming task. She works for 96 hours straight. Rolling the 8d6 for the crash test, she sleeps for 26 hours. After waking up she resumes the 24 hours of work load left doing 8 hours of work per day. The final time for the task is is: Long Haul: 96 hours of work (4 days) + crash time: 26 hours sleeping (2 days) + leftover time: 24 hours of work/8 hours per day (3 days). Total time: 9 days.
