GM: Cypher
Players: Elena and Smart.
Synopsis: They go rob stuff, pretty simple.

Well, its noon when you get the call. A message that you should meet a contact if you want some simple work. You are to head to the Ragdoll and meet an ork on the rooftop, he is rather tall even for an ork, but not muscular. He will answer to the name Cy.
Elena was reached by that summons learning spells in her lodge. She ponders the request for a little while. Ragdoll. Not a place she'd usually visit. But a look at her credstick convinces her she finally needs some money again to stay afloat. Even living out in the wild requires her to spend some money at times. She finally picks up the few items of armor she owns and switches in her 'work dress' a black colored real leather suit. Looking at herself in the small mirror she has, she finally nods. Yes, she looks a lot different than she usually does. Hopefully enough to distract others from knowing it's her. It's not really a true disguise after all.
After these preparations she moves out towards the ragdoll. Mostly with public transport.
A nice stroll to the ragdoll. Smart has heard of the place, visited it once or twice.. Still this man is on the grind, having taken a lot of jobs lately, for whatever purpose or reason. so far no complaints, on getting the job done, so enters the place lookinga round, and scanning astrally, until he looks for the elevator that will take him to the roof, hopefully no damn stairs.
Finally arriving via bus, true to the fact that the girls come last, she moves towards the shady club or bar, whatever would fit it best. She'd just call it a drunk-house. Well, whatever. She needed to meet a guy on the roof. So she bypasses the parts she needs to move through as quick as she can to get up to the roof and meet the Schmidt.
Cypher sits casually at a table on the foor, sipping from a drink while he waits. He is by far the tallest ork up here, and also lacks the required muscly build most orks have. He waits patiently until people approach him, not saying anything really until spoken too.
"Hello, looking for someone named Cy, You appear to match that description, someone said you were in need of -assistance" Smart says, now that he has reached the roof, and studing the tall orc, still awaits a response
Cypher gestures for Smart to join him at the table, but doesn't say anything yet.
Smart walks over and takes a seat
Elena looks a bit surprised. She remembers the guy. It was the one who was so nasty to that other guy in the cool cat just for talking to him. She consequently stops a bit in her tracks. Considering the options for a second, then she approaches the ork asking, "I assume you are … Cy?", she then asks. There is some insecurity audible in her voice. As if she expects to be grumbled or shouted at.
Cypher points to a chair once Elena arrives, he waits for her to sit, then reaches into a pocket and pulls out some chips. He lays them on the table and waits for you each to grab one. He still hasn't spoken.
Smart reaches for a chip, its cool with him if people don't speak, still he could do something to insur e a bit of privacy, but decides against it..
Elena sighs softly as the almost feared snarl does not come. Still the almost too cool reception still takes her a bit aback. She looks on the chip, the man, then the human with her at the table. Finally she sits down and tries to relax as she takes out her Pocket Secretary to read the data on the chip.
The Chip contains the following data:

Cypher simply waits for you to puruse the chips, after you have looked over the chip he finally speaks. "Any questions?"
Elena reads that, then asks, "Anything known about magic security? Some of the guards magically active?", she then asks.
Smart continues reading all the aspects on his Pocsec, and hhhmms putting it away "I'm in" slides the chip back to the middle of the table "Is their a specific time this place opens and closes? Any spirit guardians, or wards in place?"
Cypher nods "None that I'm aware of, least nothing thats advertised. You might want to take a look though." He collects the chip after Smart puts it back on the table.
Elena nods, "Well, I basically have no objections. I am adverse to killing. And the job does not seem to require it. So I'd ask we keep that out of it. It's not enough money for killing people carelessly anyway… Anything we can recognize these packages by?"
Cypher nods "I have the numbers and the location in inventory, I've already hacked the system and setup some triggers. This should be simple, the only problems are the physical security."
Elena shrugs, "They will sleep through this. Unless there is magic security I see no problems with that… If we are at the site I will do a little investigation."
Smart glances at Elena, then back at Cypher.."When your ready for us to begin, I'm all set" the young man keeps it short and simple
Cypher nods "Fine, lets regroup at 2AM or so somewhere near the location. There is a gas station at the corner, I'll meet you just outside it."
Elena nods and at first calls up a matrix map of denver on her Pocket Secretary to find out where she is supposed to go to. She is not really a city girl but GPS-Coordinates and city maps she can read. So after she found out where the place is, she moves out. Enters the next bus going the right way to use some of the time she has to give the place a little inspection. She leaves her body at a closeby cafe. In a more secluded nook, making it look like the dozed away for a second.

Smart gets up, and turns to head out, looking at Elena again, merely shakes his head.."Confused" is all he says, then goes to get his bike, and goes to scope the place out as well, acting like a bum on the streets, sleeping
The warehouse during the day is somewhat active, small shipping vans coming and going. There appears to be no real astral security at all, not even a mage on duty. Either this place never carries much of value, or they are just too cheap to pay for it.

The security is fairly routine, they have some minor ware, smartlinks probably, but nothign spectacular. They are in fairly good health, and are mostly alert instead of sitting around relaxing.
The patrols do seem somewhat routine for the most part. Two guards sit in the front gate area, mostly around a shack. Two other guards patrol the grounds in a somewhat random pattern. Thats all you can determine during the day though, too many other workers around to notice anythign else.
There does appear to be a few rooms with a single person though. Some of these rooms have desks, one happens to have a few computer monitors on it.
Elena returns to her body muttering softly to herself. "Almost looks too easy…" She will be at the meeting point a bit early. She stands there and whispers the words, "Come to me spirit of this neighbourhood. I am in need of a little bit assistance here. There is some helpy this humbl witch needs from you. You know I have always worked for the betterment of the world. Now it is time that the mothers children help her humble servant." Conjuring up a city spirit.

Elena smiles as the spirit arrives. On the astral the shape of an old rusty motorbike with strangely expressionate headlights appears beside the young woman in her leathers. She smiles, pats the astral entity, then leans back on the door way she sat in to rest up a bit. Her head hurting a little bit from the backlash the magic caused in her to call such a powerfull ally.
Well, its a long dull day when your astrally scouting and waiting around for the go time. Eventually 2 AM rolls around, and when you arrive at the Gas Station, its closed down for the night. There is a beat up blue americar thats parked there, engine off, and Cypher sitting in the drivers seat. He steps out and locks up the car when you arrive. Traffic in this area is fairly light, its mostly warehouses and industrial buildings. Its a C grade zone, so cops will come if called, but patrols are infrequent.
Elena turns up with her companion in tow. Though as it is in the astral currently none but a mage would be able to see it. She walks over to the ork, then looks at him in wonder, "Well, this is either a totally unimportant or a totally dumb setup. They have nothing that I can see in matters of magical security. And their guards are far from top grade either. Not that I want to complain. As it most likely makes our job more easy. But it's always making me nervous if things look too easy."
Smart arrives a bit early, though As Elena speaks, he nods in concurrance "Thats fine with me, if this seems a bit easy, just be more on the guard, so how do we wish to proceed?"
Cypher holds up a hand and starts ticking off fingers. "Motion sensors in key areas, Security cameras everywhere, constant guard surveillance of said cameras. All the doors are locked and alarmed. The thing that makes this easy, if I have an agent loaded into thier security right now. I send some text messages and all that fancy stuff shuts down."
Cypher says, "I have to manually override the locks and alarms on the doors, but the motion sensors will not trigger the alarm after I send my text.""
Elena ponders this, then says, "I have conjured up a city spirit. We can use it to distract or even eliminate the external guards if the need arises. Other than that I'd ask it to cover us when we move there and to eliminate the guys at the entrance with sleep spells. Maybe the patrolling ones as well. If your tech-magic took care of the sensors, then the guy at the monitors should be clueless… But he has a datajack, so he might be a decker. Not sure about this, though."
Smart looks over at Elena.. and "Hhmmms" rubbing his chin.."How about this, lets make it super easy for ourselves, " looking at them both, starts with the orc.."Are you a stealth based person in general? if so i have some suggestions, and since she can summon stuff, wether shaman or hermetic, can you amke things invisible or make them extremely quiet?"
Cypher nods "Well, its up to you two on how you want to run this then. If you wanna knockout the guards and sprint for it, we can do that, I'm pretty sure I can get the locks and alarms done fast. Or we can sneak in and if things go south, then deal with the guards."
Smart looks towards elena for a response
Elena nods, "Well, I can cast invisibility spells and I am decently stealthy. With the help of a spirit even more so. What is it you have in mind?", she then asks over to Smart.
Smart considers that.."Instead of all three of us going in, lets combine our spells, and put them on the orc, i have superior invisibility and Silence, mine will allow technology to not see him, if you have silence, then we each sustain a spell and wait here, should anything arise, send your spirit in, or have it disrupt technology in their like a power shortage"
Elena shakes her head. "I have the improved invisibility spell, but no silence spell.", she then says. "I never really needed it. And I cannot ask for friends help outside of his or her domain. So my friend can help on the grounds but not inside. And if I stay outside I cannotcall help in there."
Cypher snorts "If all your doing is sitting safely in the rear and holding a spell on me, I'm probably going to try to reduce your cut. No risk, no reward."
Cypher says, "Besides, its three cases, I can carry two and move fast, but a third is going to slow me down a bit.""
Smart says "then in that case, you cast improved invisibility on Cy, and I will cast Silence, we maintain the spells, and should it come to that we can distract the guards outside, and us maintaing spells is a risk, its not about all of that, its about getting the job done, as efficiently as possible"
Elena shrugs, "I guess simply moving silent under the cover of my friends cloak should be enough and less easily noted."
Smart says "I'm not a stealthy person perse, but the chances of all three of us going, could get us detected easier"
Smart says "However, so is it about risk or getting the job done?"
Cypher grunts "So whats the final idea here folks, I'm telling you now, I'm not going in without backup."
Elena ponders that, then says, "Then you stay outside as backup and distraction for the guards?"
Smart nods.."Sure thats fine, i will make myself invisible, and distract them, no problem.. i can work on taking them out, by being silenced as well, if thats your wish, "
Smart says "I have a way to communicate also, with no worry of encryption"
Cypher reaches into a pocket and pulls out a communicator. "Alright, I have eyes on the building right now. Couple of small drones, guards are doing thier routine, we just need to get in an out without much noise."
Elena takes out her Micro-Transmitter. "For the few things we'd need to communicate this should be enough…", she says and sticks the subvocal mic to her throat. She then looks to Cypher asking, "You ready?"
Commlink-Cypher> Cypher says, "I'm ready (Tranduced)"
Commlink-Elena> Elena says, "Let's move, then."
Elena whispers to the spirit, "Conceal us on our way to the building over there. We have to stay unseen by those guards." And at once is seems an invisible screen is raised over the two making it hard to see them. Then Elena starts to move as silently as she can towards the building.

Smart continues to wait by the gas station, leaning up against it , more or less waiting for any indication, still he just sorta lingers

The warehouse is surrounded by a fence of course, and at the top of the fence is razorwire. Now, it is a chain link fence at least, so that helps. There is a guard shack at the gate, with two guards inside, and a retractable chainlink fence gate.
Elena looks at that razorwired fence, then she centers her attention on her teammate and starts to cast a levitate on him. To lift him over the wall.

The ork slowly hovers into the air and savely bypasses the fence. The girl gasps softly as she feels the backlash of the magic. It seems she undestimated the orks weight a bit. She then lifts herself over the fence to land without to much problems beside the ork. "Okay.. let's move on.", she then whispers.
Cypher grunts softly as he lands, and as you land. He looks around briefly, then heads towards the building as quietly as possible.
Its at this point the roving guards near your area, they havent spotted you yet, but its possible.

Smart continues to watch, almost wondeirng if he should smoke, but hell its at a gas station, so just kinda, walks to the back of the car, and sort sits on the hood
Elena for now simply follows the ork silently. Her eyes out for unusual moves with the guards, looking for signs to be found out. Her spirit hovering beside her as she follows the man towards the doors.
Cypher moves along quietly, and hits the wall of the warehouse. He follows along the wall until he reaches a side door, then simply waits until the guards are out of sight. At this point, he pulls out a pocsec and sends a text message, then he pulls out some tools and gets to work.

Cypher apparently really knows his stuff. It takes him a little bit to find and disable the alarm, but after that the case is removed inside thirty seconds, and the switch is finally triggered a mere 15 seconds later. The case is put back on the lock and he opens the door, nodding to Elena as he slips inside quickly.
Elena whispers to the man. "Do you need me in there? If I go in, then I have to release my spirit. And inside I need to conjure up another one. I can stand here in the door, though to be in both domains to conjure up a spirit for you inside and keep this one up…"
Cypher gestures for Elena to follow. «Alright, stay here for now then. I'll be back soon.» He quickly sets off into the warehouse.

Its a bit of time while Cypher is inside collecting cases of course. Outside the guards come around on thier next patrol, moving past the hiding place and the door that was opened.

Elena smiles and nods to the ork as he entered the house. She waited at the door and tried to keep as deeply into the shadows as possible to make it easier for the spirit to hide her. She is patiently luckily. Having learned that virtue in her past thoroughly.
Smart walks from the back of the car to the front, every so often, mentally waiting for word from Cy, still the guards appear normal, no hurried actions yet
Cypher returns with cases in hand, of course, he waits a moment at the door. «All clear outside?»
Smart says to Cypher mentally "All appears to be fine for right now, no increased activity"
Elena has a loast look around, then whispers to the spirit, "When my friend comes back out, you have to hide him again." Then she nods to Cypher.
Cypher opens the door quickly, and shuts it behind him. He has three cases in hand, giving one to Elena and pointing at the fence they came over. «Lets move??
Elena nods and whispers, "After you. I need to see you to lift you over it.", she explains. Then she follows the ork over the towards the fence.

Elena levitates the ork and herself over the fence, the strain of casting so much slowly accumulating with the young woman. She feels definitely drained after the two land on the other side. "Uhhh…", she whispers, "Glad we're out there…"
Cypher nods, and just starts off back towards the vehicles. Its quiet so far, no ones noticed anything yet.
