Trigger the switch on the Riot Case, and it opens up 180 degrees, then also flips up a clear layer of ballistic plastic on the top and bottom, while the center of the case has a handle and harness for your forearm.
Now, you are safe!
Fully extended, the Riot Case covers a full 56-inch height (or 4'8"). The top and bottom 14 inches are clear ballistic plastic. Support braces extend from the case to ensure it will stay locked in an open position.
Game Effects: Riot Cases take up 1 complex action to fully deploy as well as 1 simple action to 'ready weapon'. Bash attacks may be done with a Riot Case for (STR-2)L Stun. Shield use during melee combat causes a +2 TN to both sides, which may be effectively bypassed with Reach 2 (or even more).
Riot Cases look exactly like normal briefcases: 14 inches x 4 inches.
