Dark Horse Enterprises is a small company operating out (at least in part) of Jamaica in the Caribbean League. The Dark Horse Balaclava goes by many names there and elsewhere, and is marketed to extreme sports companies both both warmth and protection. The Dark Horse Balaclava is much more like a helmet than the traditional balaclava, and is lined with densiplast for protection for the head vs. trees, other skiers, walls, the ground, and so forth. Additionally, many more disreputable clients have discovered that the densiplast distorts their features, making it more difficult to recognize them via photographs or facial recognition software.
Notes: The Dark Horse Balaclava adds one to the overall Impact Armor rating of the character for protection vs. crashes or specific (i.e. Called Shots) impact-related shots to the head, and may be treated as a helmet for purposes of armor stacking. In addition, the DH Balaclava adds +2 to the TN the facial recognition system needs to pick the character out and identify them (please see SOTA 2063, page 101-102)
